I saw that a lot of people were posting negative reviews, so I was hesitant to come. However, I’m glad I persevered. This is a Golden Corral - not a 5 star restaurant. It is a buffet that has featured the same items for over 20 years. I’m not sure what people are expecting when they show up - but the experiences they are sharing are wildly exaggerated. It’s a buffet. The food isn’t going to be piping hot or perfect constantly. Things get replaced after they run out or after a certain amount of time. Some tables are going to be messy as they serve as a dirty dish “triage” before they go to the back. Please adjust your expectations to “average Golden Corral experience.” They were out of honey butter, which is 80% of the reason I go to Golden Corral in the first place and I wasn’t even mad because the food was decent for Golden Corral quality.

I felt like the waiters could have been more helpful but other than that the food was great the people serving the food was amazing and the cashier when you first walked in was very polite The servers were very polite they could have just came around more and refilled our drinks more made sure we had what we needed have the day you deserve

The roast beef, meatloaf, and mashed potatoes w/brown gravy are my favorite things to eat from here. I tried the broccoli cheddar soup today and it was so good! I added extra broccoli and shredded cheese to kind of balance the soup out.

I'd been trying to get hubby to take a chance forever. Couldn't find a good reasonably priced Mexican buffet so we gave it a go. I was very pleased with the selection. Food was fresh and DELICIOUS. Around $60 for the three of us. Looking forward to going again.

Great place for breakfast. We had served our selves some pork chops and we found they were under cooked. The waiter removed it from our table and made the manager aware immediately. They quickly removed them from the food line. When you are feeding this many people things will slip what made this a 5 star experience is that they took action right away.

I haven't been here in YEARS....I went around 5pm on a weeknight and with buffet/drink it was $24....Now the food was simply AMAZING...got 4 plates of different foods like mexican...southern comfort...itilian and seafood....the meats was also fresh and cut for you...they also refill you're drinks and have every food imaginable...deserts and good salad bar so definitely RECOMMENDED!!@

Was a little pricey some people eat for hours but I don't after 30 to 45 minutes I'm done so it was a little pricey for me but I always enjoy going eating buffet different foods and especially desserts

We went during breakfast hour. It’s not bad as far as price goes. The staff is super friendly and easy going. The waitress was outstanding! She was very attentive and picked up our plates as soon as we were done with them. Brought us our refills quickly too. In all honesty, bathrooms are a big deal to me. They really are a deal breaker for me. I have to say, I was impressed. They were super clean and smelled really clean. Way to go Golden Corral!! As far as the food goes, it has good flavor. The meats are well seasoned. The ham was delicious. The sausage gravy was awesome! There were pancakes, French toast, orange juice, apple juice, cereal, sausages, an omelette station and more. It was great even if you have picky eaters.

Who doesn't love an all you can eat good restaurant, I love their large variety of choices from chicken 🍗 🐔 macaroni, rice, beans, fruit 🍑 🍓 to 🥩 steak I like mines medium please! Also love their atmosphere and the choice to put two tables together if in a large group the restaurant feels spacious. Love their ice🍦 machine and the choices they have to sprinkle on top of your 🍨 ice cream with M&M's among other choices, plenty of parking space and the environment is just right to gather with the family and dip in on all their delicious 🤤 choices within one hour or so. If they would have entertainment with live sports it would be an awesome experience.

I was disappointed in the senior discount of on .50 cents cheaper is my only complaint. My waitress was outstanding. I recommend this site for holiday dinners if you need a place last minute to go.?

This location has great food and great customer service. We had an issue with our food the manager she immediately took care of it right away. The only complaint about this location is the smell when you walk in the door. It smells like sewage. I have been there a few times each time the same smell. The only downside to the experience.

I visited this particular restaurant on Veterans Day. I went to fellowship with my Brothers in Arms. I can't give this restaurant five stars. The food, while plentiful, was cold. The service, all the way around was lacking. I couldn't get refills on drinks, nor couldn't get the table cleared of used plates. They were amply staffed, however service was poor. The atmosphere was great, only because of the comradery of the Veterans present. I thank the Golden Corral Corporation for everything that was presented for us, but I wonder if the service and cold food is standard?

This Golden Corral needs billengual workers. Most are Spanish speaking at this location. I came from out of town and enjoyed the food. I had no idea my family members like to visit different Golden corral in different states. The chocolate cake was a good dessert.

This is just a normal Golden Corral buffet. People coming in all day looking for a good deal for a lot of different varieties of food. Only regret I have in this post. I love getting their little Burger sliders they have, you have to be patient and wait for them to cook it around lunch time. There isn't much variety for those of us who don't eat seafood. The sirloin wasn't entirely pleasant, but for the price, it's fine.

I visited this location with a working group of people. The food on the display buffet was kept stock while I was there. The dining area was also maintained and was being kept up by the servers. The ice cream machine was not working and there was no observed ice in the cooler either.

Great food variety was low. Back up was slow . Restaurant was clean and friendly.

The bathrooms are always disgusting and dirty.. its so hot in the bathroom it feels like a recreational bathroom for playgrounds. It smells really bad and are always full of feces! Yuck. Other than that the waiters are really good.

It should be mandatory to have an English-speaking manager in the kitchen at all times when you serve shellfish. My daughter and I came out tonight and they have fried shrimp and it was a struggle to get the kitchen staff to understand the question if they fried their shrimp in it's own fryer. So we ended up staying away from all fried foods because her allergies are severe and there wasn't somebody here that spoke English enough to understand the question.

I have been to dozens of golden corrals across the country. Food was good as usual. Bathroom gross as usual. Staff must have been having bad days. Multiple customers watching T.V. on their phones so I had to move mid eating due to the annoyance. Also a server was doing the same thing while eating in between ringing people up which was crazy. Prices higher than most, but I guess it's downtown Dallas-$21.50 for dinner. $25+ with a tip. I give it a 2 star in my own book, but 3 is still fair.

They had plenty of food, and what we ate was good. The party room was hot, and there was a roach on the table running around. We told the manager at the location.

We voted years ago not to eat there and we should've stuck to it

The restaurant was a buffet and you go and get your own food, the atmosphere was cool, the waiter was very nice and worth the tip although I don't agree that we should tip on a all you can't eat and make your own plates kind of place but the food was leftovers that had fresh sauce on it. I'm a bit of a critic cause I watch Chef 👨‍🍳 Ramsey lol but you can tell it's old food. I love the grilled steak.

The lettuce was less than fresh, brown in some spots. The chicken was dryyyyy... oh so dry... they were running low on everything in the salad bar and were lacking items that other Golden Corrals ive been to in the area offer. Service was kinda lacking and minimal.... waited for refill for a while and thats pretty much the most important part. The food was just sub par along with the service. Drove 40 mins to get here and not worth the drive.

It’s a VERY VERY VERY small location. Half the size of the garland location and small quantities of food. The salad bar alone takes up a good quarter but who goes to golden coral to just eat salads. They have NO ENCHILADAS. very bland I really recommend the Garland location over there. There isn’t just variety to choose from at all.

We went on Sunday at 4:30 pm. The weekend buffet with 2 drinks and 2 senior discounts, came to $48 and change. I was astonished. The regular fountain drink was $3.49. I understand free refills but we never get refills and most times I don't even drink the whole thing. The food was decent. The dessert bar was discussing!!! NOTHING on the bar was appealing. Cake, crumbs, pie, pudding Everywhere!!! Nothing had been cleaned. I tried to get the attention of the lady working the bar, but she never acknowledged me. We decided on ice-cream, but that was sickening. A drip pan under the taps were full of melted ice-cream and cones and dripping down the sides. I won't be back to this location again. This is probably the worst Golden Corral in the DFW area. Most The workers speak almost no English thankfully I do know some Spanish to get by, the food is often cold or lukewarm and they rarely change it out, they frequently overcook their steak and apparently when you say medium rare to them they give you a well done piece, so I asked for rare and actually got medium rare. The selection is not as good as Garland’s location. Personally I’d avoid this Golden Corral and only frequent this one because it’s the closest to my job.

It's ok as for the cleanliness. The food is just not good at all. The golden corral in Arlington is so much better. It's actually unreal how much better the food at the one in Arlington is compared to this one on cockrell hill in Dallas. It's like they just throw the food out there and don't care about how it taste . They basically don't even try. They don't even try to match the food.

I had not been to Golden Corral in somee not too high. time. When my kids were young and money was tight, it was a decent place to go. Everyone got what they wanted, price not too high. I was in the area with the Mamma, and decided to give it a try. Disappointed is an understatement. Pickings we're VERY slim: fried chicken, baked chicken, salad bar (no cheddar cheese), a small taco bar, glazed ham, roast beef potatoes, mac and cheese, and a few veggies. I got a plate of roast beef, potatoes, corn and a roll. The Mamma got sweet potatoes, greens and roast beef. Everything I got was cold. Everything the Mamma got was cold. She decided to fight thru hers, but I couldn't. Back to the buffet, found som New. Orleans bourbon chicken and rice. It was the only thing not overcooked or ice cold. As I ate the chicken, I noticed the grill fire up, and I was able to get a small piece of sirloin steak. And finally, it must be a universal thing. Their soft serve ice cream machine was broken. And all of this for only $19 a head! Prices up quite a bit since my last visit. Now, many of you will say "It's a buffet, what do you expect?? You should know better.". And you're right, I should know better. Buffets are typically lower quality food, but I expected it at least to be hot. Is that really too much to ask? Even though we had to seat ourselves, there were servers that would clear tables and refill drinks. One lady stopped by the table to ask if everything was okay, and I think that's the only English words. She understood. When I told her all of my food was cold, she looked at me like a deer in the headlights. Now, my neighborhood has a very large Hispanic community, so I understand why the local establishments are staffed with Spanish speakers, but I couldn't communicate with almost anyone in the room. I'm guessing my comments about the quality of the food fell on deaf ears. In any case, $40 lighter in the wallet and a lesson learned. No more Golden Corral for me. Visit at your own risk...

Food are always delicious but I'm kinda disappointed this time because a takeout food and the counter lady told us that your restaurant is out of plastic utensils and she suggested us that we can get spoon on the next restaurant ( wattabuger)??? Only go here because of the military. Rolls are always a go to. The catfish can sometimes be a hit or miss and the chicken always seems like it's bot cooked all the way. Again, I only go because of the military. I do not like buffets

50% of other Golden Corral. You get maybe 50% selection of other Golden Corral, if that. If you go to one at the Arlington Texas on I-20, it has more food varieties by x2 and it is much bigger. In fact, this Golden Corral has to be one of the smallest one I have been to as of today. I am a Golden Corral connoisseur. Tuesday at 11:05 AM The Hash brown is very salty, stuffing has very unpleasant bitter taste to it. Scrambled egg was too thin and watery. Golden Corral’s food usually have more salt than usual. Onion ring is good. My waitress was nice. The food wasn’t worth $10.27. Not all the Golden Corrals are the same. This is one of the subpar ones. :-(

You pay a fortune to eat, and everything that is shown on your TV commercial is not available to serve because there out. If you advertise wings you should be able to eat wings not wait 20 minutes for the next batch. If you advertise steak you be able to serve it and eat knowing you can get it with out having to wait as well . All customers pay a fortune for this meal and should not have to wait to get what is advertised. And most importantly your senior citizen discount really sucks!!! Management team there has no sense of urgency and should consider looking for people that really know how to run a business of this magnitude..

We should have known when we drove up and the place was not packed on a Saturday evening, the parking lot is in terrible shape and the outside looks unkempt. Definitely not worth the $19 per person without a drink. Our server didn’t speak a lick of English and acted annoyed when I spoke to her in Spanish. She only filled our drinks once, the table next to us had to go look for them where she found a few servers sitting down. They also walked by a few time and never once took our dirty plates .The food options seamed a lot less than other Golden Corrals we have been to. The food was not terrible but the desserts were awful! The restaurant in general didn’t feel clean and some of the equipment wasn’t working. I can’t believe this place is till open.

After a long day of driving, thought I stop at one of my favorite spots from back home, but to my surprise this place is nothing like what I'm used too. First go in the restroom to wash up, it's so dirty. Tissue on the floor. Floor was wet, 1 toilet still had urine in it. Food was really good and my waitress Violeta was absolutely wonderful. I was really enjoying my food until I noticed the grill cook Maria cleaning and sweeping the floors (which is good), but then turned to serve meat without washing her hands or didn't have on any gloves. This is disgusting. I left immediately. I will not return to this location until some changes are made with cleanliness.

On 05/15/2025: we went to golden at 1540 N. Cockrell Hill to eat but as we started to prepare our plates, the food looked horrible. I asked for fresh chicken and they started speaking Spanish loudly and was very rude, throwing chicken in the pan. We decided not to eat and ask for a refund. Refund was placed back on our acct. A day later they reversed refund and took pymt again. Is that not stealing? I say yes. We went back to golden corral to speak with manager with our refund receipt and was told manager didn't come in till 9:30am. We waited, went back to golden corral ay 9:30am and was told manager didn't come in till 12pm, WTH??? Give us our $ back Golden corral, you're stealing.

I usually enjoy Golden Corral in Austin, but my experience at the Dallas location was very disappointing. Most of the food was only lukewarm, and once we sat at the table it got cold very quickly. This made the meal unpleasant. I was seated near the salad bar, and there was a very bad smell in that area, which seemed like a drainage or sewage odor. It was strong enough to affect my appetite. The dinner rolls were hard and not fresh at all. Overall, the quality, temperature of the food, and cleanliness did not meet the standards I’m used to from Golden Corral in Austin. Unfortunately, this location was a big letdown, and I would not recommend it based on this experience.

My family and I came out to dine here, and the atmosphere was weird, it seemed like to us the employees didn’t want us there. We felt unwelcome. I ordered a sweet tea I waited almost 20 mins for my tea. After I fix my plate. The waitress didn’t speak English, so she didn’t understand anything. The cooks looked highly upset when we walked up to the food bar. But was welcoming to their RACE!! Pretty weird to me!!! On top of my son having diarrhea for 2 days bc he ate their medium well steak. Had the absolute WORST experience at this place today. Went with my family for breakfast and paid for everyone to enjoy the buffet. My toddler didn’t finish all of the food on his plate so I put the leftovers in his food containers for later and a waitress named Gabriela caused a HUGE scene at the restaurant accusing us of stealing food. Food that we had PAID FOR and was on our plate. They proceeded to take pictures of us and told us that we were banned from the restaurant even though we were paid patrons and had already paid for our food. We weren’t taking giant plates of food to go just the leftovers from my toddler’s plate. The entire experience was disgusting and humiliating and we will NEVER be returning here. Be careful when you go here because they will accuse you of being a THIEF even if you paid for your food. I will be filing a complaint with corporate against this restaurant.

Bad experience, bad service, the workers are with phone while they making the food... they will never answer the questions you have The plate are dirty so becareful!

Before I tell you why I rated this I must give you back story as to why I went to this Golden Corral. Background: There was the strange and oddities convention in Dallas, my sister as a loved fan of these decided to go to this, I on the other hand went because I was gonna finally meeting my best friend of 8 years ofc I went with. The dinner: So I obviously went with and on the night before the meet up we sit down at this table with a father starring down at me. Some of the food straight up looked inedible and the textures of some things..? Horrid.. literally Horrible. Then the worst of all. . . I went to the pot roast, which little of my knowledge knew that would be the cause of my future hell. When I sat down is those unco sets and took a bite of the pot roast i thought in my head "hmm this taste kinda strange" but I thought i scraped it under a rug like it was nothing and ate it. I soon later in the meal felt like I was going to either violently shit myself or violently vomit idk what was worse. We soon went to the hotel and everything was fine until the next day. The meet up: The day my friend gets there everything is fine we play a few games on Xbox then decided to go to the science museum 10-15 minutes away and it was fine until 7 minutes into the trip I get this nauseous feeling. My mouth fills with saliva and that gut feeling you get when YOU KNOW you're going to throw up i make the joke I'm gonna throw up to which follow after "I'm actually gonna throw up." "Do you need me to pull over?" "Nahh..." 5 seconds later "yea.." And I mean the second the car stops in thay parking lot it was like hell unleashed itself onto that concrete. And it was half my dinner from last night only half guys. There's more. So I bet up and fight through because I will NOT let this ruin me meeting my pookie 👊😔 (in retrospect I should've gone back) So we get to the museum and 30 minutes it i get the feeling again, i sit down in hopes catching some air will clame me only to violently throw up into the plam of my hand while my friend panics on what to do, grabs a bag then a employee. The employees were nice and helped me but I feel horrible because I mean we SPEED RAN THAT MUSEUM and by the time I got to the end of the museum right infront of those doors, I threw up right in the damn trash can. The entire day I didn't feel like that again it was fine. Until the night time. Night time: I wake up at 3 am freezing but covered in sweat, then suddenly I get the feeling again. I try to get up but then all hell breaks lose i throw up all over myself, my pillow ruined. My shirt, ruined all I can do is sob violently in the shower that night. The worse part my friend was in the room when it happened 😔😔 So was this Golden Corral good? No- it's horrible and ruined the worst possible day of my life with my best friend who's basically my sibling- it not only gave me but my uncle food poisoning as well when we went there. It was awful

Food was nasty the restaurant was dirty and for 2 people was $47 if I could rate them a 0 I would

First of all me and my bf got there right at 7:59 when they close at 9 did not get out drinks when we checked in/ payed went to get our food, we went to grab our food we were eating for about 10 minutes without drinks and finally Someone ask us for our drink order only to ask to see our receipt when we just spent $50 all for there to be no meat loaf was there and then I made me a taco and there Was no cheddar cheese and when I asked the lady behind the counter for some more she said oh we don’t have any, like i really don’t understand why she can’t go grab me a pinch of cheese i don’t under stand why they’re putting food up 50 minutes before closing time

I would give them a zero if I could don't eat here unless you want to eat somewhere there has black mold

I visited Golden Corral for a birthday meal, but the experience was disappointing. I came in with a birthday coupon, only to be told their machine was broken and couldn’t scan it. Then the manager said I needed the coupon printed, so I had to go to Staples down the road just to use it. The food quality wasn’t good—definitely not up to the standard of other Golden Corral locations I’ve been to. The service was lacking, with our waitress not even refilling our drinks. The restaurant itself was dirty, with gross carpeted floors, and I didn’t feel comfortable putting my son in the high chair because it wasn’t clean. On top of everything, the ice cream machine wasn’t working, and this was during dinner time! Overall, this visit was a huge letdown, and I wouldn’t recommend this location.

ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES MILLIONS ON THE GRILL EVERYWERE No grill at 3pm Food was stale and old the fish was so cold and roaches on the fish roaches everywere running on the grills No meat basically some pieces of chicken but basically nothing to eat but left overs or old stuff or if ur a vegetarian 🫜 And we was gonna eat but a million baby roaches was running all over the food

Apparently, Golden Corral likes to serve bugs with your food and when we told the manager no apology no fixing it. They just said OK so I’m guessing they don’t care so what is going on with this golden corral so I’m not taking my family to this Golden corral ever again

They have roaches....we came to eat after a funeral. Started eating and a roach crawled on the plate...lady came over and started clearing our plates and told all of us to go get a refund. Now....they won't refund our entire party. We couldn't even eat if we wanted to, and now they won't refund all of us. Pic attached

I wouldn't recommend this Golden Corral .We are from MS and had just finished traveling 8 hrs and was just looking for a good hot meal.We paid 41.20 for two. We arrived a little after 4:00 which was dinner time. The food was not fresh and we asked if they were gonna change the line and put up fresh food since we paid 16.99 for the dinner buffet...the manager which was a younger person that appeared to be only about 20 years old informed us that they change the line every 5 mins and I told him that's not true. I advised him as I experienced cook I know what fresh fried chicken looks like. The chicken was old and the meat was hard. I told him that the fried fish was pink on the inside so it wasn't done. I told him that the pot roast was old because it was tough and dark brown. He responded in Spanish and walked away . I stood there thinking he would come back but he never did. Our waiter name was Jennifer and it she had to be fairly new because she forgot where we were seated and took her almost 20 min to come back and then when she did bring the drinks over it was warm sweet tea with only 3 pieces ice floating on top in a dirty cup. She never came back to our table. For 41.00 totalled we consumed a piece of steak a handful of popcorn shrimp and a serving of potatoes.... We informed the staff that we were not satisfied with the service and they did nothing to rectify it. They have a lot of young staff working their. We did take pictures of the food. We chose this location based off reviews but after being in there and seeing it was predominantly Hispanic I see where most of their reviews came from because a POC would have kept it 💯 on here and this waste of time and money would have been avoided.

Needs an overhaul!! Ice cream machine down. Slurpee machine down. Looking around at the serving stations I question if the city has really inspected this place. Please beware!! Serving cold food in this establishment is a real problem. It appears the food has set for hours.

I sat 15 min waiting to get my first glass of Tea, waitress waited on other Hispanics, would not even look my way. I had to get up and walk back there to get my second glass of tea. Im not racist toward anyone, and yet thats what I experienced tonight. I will not eat here again. I wouldn't care if they bought my meal. When you have a job to do, you do it to your best ability, for everyone, even if you are a racist. I dont leave tips for anyone who doesn't serve me.

The manager was very disgusting. The food was very cold. Everything was sitting for hours if I would’ve had a temperature check they would’ve failed nobody there. Speak English. Everyone speak Spanish and couldn’t understand anything about fresh food. The manager got upset and asked me to calm down when I was talking in a calm manner Trying to paint a picture of me being this aggressor. I didn’t like this establishment I paid more than what was presented. I would love a refund back. I would never be coming to this location again and I warn you the plates were dirty, wet disgusting this is the nastiest place ever they should close this place down.I just made the best of it for my mom’s birthday, but we won’t be coming back. The service don’t go get anything. They sit around laughing in the room, joking, and playing all day. I had only one refill on my cup and they charge you X amount for drinks that establishment is very unprofessional is gross and nasty and they discriminate against the guest.

I had a disappointing experience at this location (1540 North Cockrell Hill Road, Dallas, Texas 75211). The food was neither fresh nor hot; the warmers weren't keeping it at the right temperature, as it felt warm right from the start. The rice was hard and the carrots were dry, making the meal unappetizing. Additionally, the gravy was excessively runny and lacked texture. The overall flavors were bland, leading to an unusual taste that was unenjoyable. To make matters worse, the workers were laughing and talking over the food, creating a very unprofessional atmosphere. I expected much better quality and service from this establishment. My experience was recorded under check number 1057.

Receptionist was terrible, didn't care. Food was cold, hard and lacked flavor. Server was on vacation or something. Everyone had to get their own refills. Really, it was a bad experience for any Golden Corral lover. Whoever is running this particular location needs to be replaced. There's a picture frame in the wall that says "Our Business is based on Service to Others". That can't be true, because this place is still open and there is no service here, none, nada, nothing...there's better service at Little Caesars across the street.

The music was to loud the service was terrible we only seen our waitress 1 time. Some of the food was cold like my favorite bourbon chicken. We usually go to Lufkin,TX to eat but when we are visiting different towns where there is a Golden Corral we eat there and this one in Dallas,Tx by far has been the worst. Where is the second chance going to this Golden Corral and I still give it a one-star The waitresses she never came out it took 5 minutes before she came over to get her drinks if we need anything to drink this is the last time I gave you a second chance you're not getting the third.

The food was old and dried out. They never put anything fresh out the whole 2 hours we sat there waiting. The variety of selection for a buffet was very poor. A waste of almost $100 for me and my grandkids to eat. How disappointing! I will never be back to this location ever! And it will be a long time before I go to any Golden Corral. This is the reason these restaurants are closing down. If you're going to increase the price of your food, be sure and increase the quality.
