I am definitely not a "foodie" but I do enjoy delicious food. The Coconut Lamb was incredible, and the saffron rice is the best I have ever tasted! We will definitely be returning to sample other menu items. Very welcoming atmosphere and lovely people.
The food is absolutely delicious and a fantastic price for food and drinks, definitely will be coming back here
I've been coming here for ten years and the food was great. I came with my baby niece and the staff was very friendly with the toddler. Overall, great food and service.
Always delicious food and great prices and nice people 😊
Amazing taste and super fast service. Also accommodated a few options without onion and garlic
I wanted to surprise my partner with a night out. It was rainy and a bit dismal. So I called this place and asked if I could reserve a table in front of the fireplace. They not only made the reservation, but when we arrived lead us to a special table set up right in front of the fireplace. My partner was delighted by the sense of being tended in such a special and intentional way. I can’t imagine that reservations were necessary to eat there. A special thanks to the staff for their playful willingness to make a special evening possible!
Food was amazing !!! We got lamb Tikka masala, mushroom masala, goat cheese naan, and garlic cilantro naan. Food was really filling, piping hot, spicy and flavorful. Lamb was really tender and the masalas were very smooth and creamy. Would highly recommend to anyone who misses good, authentic Indian food.
Best Lamb Curry in Davis. I eat Lamb Curry everywhere I go and this one was pretty solid. Also, I can’t say enough about the service. I showed up fairly close to closing and they were visibly wrapping up the place. I told them I would leave and they insisted I stay and were very kind and prompt. Great experience all around.
Delicious food and amazing service. We had some very specific requests and they were polite and accommodating. Highly recommend their lamb.
Waiter was quick and polite, food came out well paced, and was so delicious. My one critique is that the extra spicy wasn’t spicy to my boyfriend and I, but both curries we tried were still amazing. Fish pakora was good, chicken momos were not properly sealed but still tasted good so no complaints. Garlic cilantro naan is a MUST. Overall would come again. 10/10 on food.
Good food and service but some lighting improvements could make it an even better place.
It's been 16 years since I've been back and it's still magical! Every bite is good, the price is fair, the service is attentive, and it's just SO GOOD!! We got tikka masala with paneer instead of chicken, mutter paneer thali, coconut lamb curry and a mango lassi. I would've gotten momo's but I don't think we could've eaten anymore. Come by!
This place is great. Many of their dishes are both familiar to someone who is familiar with Indian spice blends, but still filled with a number of fun opportunities for surprise, which is great
Delicous lunch time spot. Amazing Indian and Nepalese food. The Naan was hot and fresh and the portions and flavor was just right.

This Indian restaurant in Davis surprised me in the best way possible. The samosas were so perfectly crisp they nearly made me emotional, and the tikka masala had the kind of flavor that convinces you to order extra naan you didn’t plan for. The staff were cheerful, and the whole experience felt fun and welcoming. A delightful stop that brightened my day.
Food was fresh, hot and very very tasty!! It also has a Full bar and drinks. The lighting is a bit on the lower side. We only saw the food crowd as it was late afternoon and there was a constant stream. Service was super nice and accommodating...thanks for that! Overall, good tasting Indian and Nepali food with nice service!!

We came after a diner left a review comparing the eatery to Yeti, who said they had larger portions and better flavor. We were greeted and seated quickly. It was freezing in the restaurant (40 degrees outside tonight) and had to ask if they could turn the heat up. They then turned the heat on, set at 70 degrees. What we ordered were $17 apiece. Rice: extra. Naan: extra We had water,no ice. It tasted lukewarm, and we didn't drink it. Not sure we'll be back. Nice folks, freezing restaurant.
So based on past experiences for this place I always said it was good but not amazing. I’ve mostly had curries here and done it thali style, it’s good value and provides a nice amount on the plate! - and some to bring home, I find they spice things a little on the weaker side especially compared to yeti a few blocks over.. They’re reasonably priced and I’ve had some cool unique cocktails here - I’m not much of a drinker but show me a quirky cocktail and I’m game. Today was the first time I had been in a while and it actually brought what would have been a 3 star rating up to 4. It was early on a Friday afternoon and it was super quiet, we were greeted on the way in and offered a booth to sit at. They have one of the best happy hours in Davis in terms of value per dollar ! $3 apps $4 well drinks / margaritas $3 beers And $2 off their cocktails!! The apps on the offer are very veggie friendly! The aloo tiki were my favourite - but hey I’m irish so any excuse for a big lump of potato! They’re beautifully spiced and are served with what I think is a cilantro based sauce and a tamarind based one. They also serve fries/ garlic fries on their happy hour apps - not Indian but definitely really tasty and handy if you have a fussy kid tagging along! We had the garlic and they had a nice amount of garlic- not too much that you’ll stink the rest of the night! And balanced it with a lovely lemon flavour! We actually tried all the apps on their happy hour on this particular day - we were pretty hangry!! The Nepali Samosas were also great! The momos a treat! And veggie pakora also lovely! I have to say their paneer pakora is also one of the best ones I’ve tried it comes cubed and is great for sharing! Looking forward to going back and having an entree here again! I would say this spot is great for vegetarians as it boasts a tonne of options!!
Generous portions (and huge samosas), but that's the only outstanding feature here. Food is good but not groundbreaking. Staff are a bit confused (wrong dish sent, drinks arrived after we finished eating) but are accommodating. Lighting is only good in the booths by the entrance. The mango lassi is always good. But a warning about the sweet lassi: when I ordered it, they mistook the salt for sugar and my lassi was salty and inedible.

Amazing salmon tandoori! Nice helpful staff.
I visited this restaurant based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. While the kadai prawns had a decent curry taste, they were disappointingly undercooked and had a strong smell. The aloo paratha was okay, but nothing exceptional. Moreover, I was surprised that rice wasn't included as a side dish for the curries, forcing us to order it separately. The ambience and lighting were also lacking, contributing to a dull atmosphere. Overall, the food was mediocre with good service, and improvements are needed in both the quality of dishes and the dining environment. P.S- place does not serve halal meat.

Nice place, only myself and another person in the entire place. Food was ok, I'd go back. The owners are hard working and also serving.

I don't recommend this place. We often eat at Indian restaurants in the Sacramento and Bay areas, and I have never given a review before, but I had to review this place because we were overall pretty disappointed. While the vegetable samosas were tasty and the paneer pakora was okay, the Nepali samosas had no spinach and really no flavor. Thank goodness for the tamarind sauce to add some taste. (Yes, the menu in the restaurant says it includes spinach). The worst thing about this place is the small portions of food in each main course dish compared to the prices. We usually eat family style at Indian restaurants, and there are always generous plates, bowls, or pots of each dish. Not here. The next disappointing thing was the goat cheese Naan. Yes, there was a thin smeer of goat cheese, but there was also cheddar cheese, and this made the Naan oily and gave it the wrong flavor. To be fair, the chicken vindaloo was good, and admittedly, the tandoori mixed grill had very good flavor, but the lamb in it was tough and chewy. Sadly, the chicken tikka masala was just passable. I just can't stress enough, though, that the portions are incredibly small compared to the prices of each dish. We took two pictures of the main course, hoping to show the relative size of the "pots" and the platter. (We just went to a Thai place in Davis and were pleasantly pleased by the large, full plates and bowls of food).
We went for dinner to this place which is in downtown Davis. We were looking for places open around 9 pm on Sunday and this was one of few places open. We had samosas for appetizers, Poori with Paneer tikka masala and the vegan thali for mains. The samosas were oily and they had a sprinkling of Chaat masala over them. The filling needed more seasoning. This was still better than the poori and the “ paneer tikka masala “. The potato was oily and doughy. I had asked for the spicy version of the paneer dish. However the dish was anything but spicy. It was overly sweet. The smoky taste and the richness which we expect from the paneer tikka masala was not there at all. The thali was the saving Grace of all dishes or at least some part of the thali. The thali has 2 samosas 5 momos dal, mix veg curry, chickpeas masala, rice and roti. The chickpeas dish was good. It was a disappointing experience.

I haven't been there for a while. (I don't live in Davis) Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Nann to go. When I got home the Nann wasn't garlic nann and was blander than white bread. The Masala was runny and also bland. I don't believe I have ever had bland Indian food. I didn't even think it was possible. Writing this because they are a bit expensive and I am annoyed by the quality.
Food was horrible. We ordered vegetable and chicken momo, and the chutney was sweet. Samosa was also not very good. I would not suggest anyone to waste their time and money.
I ordered takeout after a very long exhausting day. Picked it up, got back to my hotel, and it wasn't even edible. They gave me no rice or naan even though I ordered a lamb curry entree which said it came with rice. How am I supposed to eat this?! And they gave me no napkins or utensils to eat it with. I called to ask about the rice and the guy said I must have ordered it a la carte...I paid $35 in total for my meal (after tip) so I really don't think so. I'm starving, I'm tired, and all I've got is some schlock with no utensils that I can't eat.
Gave me food poisoning during finals. Otherwise pretty decent.
This employee got my number from my order, texted me, called me, adding me on Snapchat. And when i called the restaurant “rico” or whoever claimed to be the manager said nothing. I have been in restaurant management for years. customers are there to enjoy food. Do not contact them personally afterwards. The manger on the phone asked me where i work When i told him i would Fire my employee if they got a customers number from their to go order.
I ordered a “Dal Makani” to-go, and it was ghastly. It was cold, not cooked well, and had bell peppers in it.. it was a very strange stew and had an odd taste to it- I suspect it’s the cooking oil. What’s worse, is that for a single dish with white rice I ended up paying $18 for it! That is ridiculous. It is not good Indian food.
Worst experience I’ve ever had in restaurants too much oil no flavour at all just uncooked vegetables looks like served the old food uncooked carrots uncooked green peppers and I’ve never had noodles with potatoes in it I don’t know from where this dish is coming from I’ve noodles but they gave me something uncooked big chunks of veggies and no salt no sauce just oil
Gross. Raw chicken. Owner said he get so much business. He doesn’t care what the food comes out like. Please be aware that owner does not care about quality of food. You are consuming. This leads me to believe he doesn’t care cleanliness if he is serving raw chicken.

Had a 3 hour drive home and ordered pickup. Got home and the curry was watered down with no flavor, the eggplant and potato had no spices or salt, the saag and tofu were edible but had no flavor. I spent almost 100 dollars on everything so we were pretty bummed. I don't know if there's new owners but I won't be going back ever.
I recently ordered a Paneer Tikka Masala from Kathmandu Kitchen, and I was very disappointed with my experience. I found a piece of chicken in my dish that was not expected to contain chicken. When I raised this issue with the staff, their response was rude and unprofessional instead of being helpful or apologetic. As a customer, I expect better quality control and respectful customer service. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet basic standards. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both food quality and staff behavior.
Today we came for dinner here, one of staff member act rudely just after seating at table he ask for ID and made fun of id holder name on the id and said is it real or fake id that’s so disrespectful that one star is for the chef who’s working hard to cook food no doubt chef cook delicious cuisine to make customers happy
