Our first time at the Davis location and it was an amazing dining experience! Loved the ambiance and decor right away. I'm disabled and use a walker and the host seated us promptly and made room for my walker. I also have a fish/shellfish allergy, so I'm careful with what I order. Our server, Isabel, was a delight, offering suggestions and also looked out for me when I mentioned my food allergy. That was a first in any restaurant and I greatly appreciated her concern. My boyfriend and me had a few cocktails and the Tempura green beans for starters...those green beans are to die for! We both had Bento Boxes that were a nice portion and everything was fresh and delicious. This restaurant will be a place that we return to for special occasions or just on a whim! Thanks, Mikuni's for such an enjoyable meal!

Calamari app is very good especially the sauce it comes with. Fish is fresh, the restaurant is clean, staff is friendly, lots of seating available. I would recommend the Japanese mafia and lobster mania. Both are incredible. A bit pricey. Although, worth it.

Very good food sat at the sushi bar. Try going a few times before but the wait times are usually around 30 to 45 minutes on any given weekend night. So show up early. Definitely good atmosphere very flexible for work or meeting up with friends. Definitely a little more expensive than other places. Downtown Davis but you pay for the food and great service. They have a decent beer and wine selection so that's nice to see. Also, parking is moderately easy if you go to any of the parking downtown you might have to walk for about 5 minutes but Davis is pretty safe so it's not really a big deal. Would highly recommend

We had an amazing experience our first time here. We got the dinner for two deal. We really enjoyed our waiters/bartenders' attention to answer our questions and give us suggestions. The food here tastes so fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed our dessert which was an interesting take on cheesecake. You should definitely come and try it at least once. We sat in the bar area and that let us easily communicate with our server since we had lot of questions. We will be returning soon.

The food is super good! The service is pretty quick and the workers are very nice and professional and they always give you advice if you are unsure of what to order. Mikuni is great for kids because there is a kids menu that my kids love. There is also a large selection of items on the menu. I recommend trying Mikuni.

Neat little sushi restaurant near downtown and the university. I make sure to go every time I am in the area! Massive selection of sushi but they have other entrees as well. Can be a bit pricy so beware of that. If you're eating the sushi and have a big appetite, I'd recommend getting two plates or even three plates as one won't be enough.

The food is good but overpriced and the staff is constantly trying to get you to agree to having the plates served as they become ready but we prefer to eat as a family at the same time. They didn't seem to have a problem with it but they did try 4 times to get us to allow them to stagger our food.

I am a sushi fiend. And have been to Japan several times. Let me tell you about Mikuni Davis. Is it Japan NO. With that being said if you are a true sushi eater then you will find extremely fresh fish every time. Well cut fish every time as well! My wife and I are here way too often. ( give me my status already so I can make reservations) Yao is the head chef and just an awesome guy, Ming and Miguel are also super talented sushi chefs. In general even the less experienced sushi chefs are great. If you’re someone who thinks sushi is a roll with a bunch of fried stuff….well there’s plenty for you too. It’s actually a great mix of everything. Highly recommend the freaky edamame cause it’s great. Overall this is my go to spot in the states. When you factor price, consistency, and freshness I don’t think you can beat it.

The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. It felt best and just fun to be in plus I liked sitting at the bar. The service was very nice and attentive, and the food came out quickly. But it’s not getting five stars because the service wasn’t particularly personable. The bartender seemed almost overwhelmed and so did his best and got a good tip from me, but it just didn’t feel as personable as it could’ve. The food was just OK. The Joanna belly was quite delicious and fell apart in my mouth, but the rest of food was just so so. It was tasty but not amazing by any stretchy imagination. I would still come back here if I was in Davis. Also, it was kind of expensive. I got a drink and three dishes and it was $70. For just one person. It’s not totally unreasonable for sushi with a non-alcoholic drink, but not cheap.

Mikuni in Davis is a fantastic spot for sushi lovers. The fish is always fresh, the rolls are creative and delicious, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. The atmosphere strikes a great balance between lively and relaxed, making it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. One of the best deals is their lunch bento box—great portions, a variety of items, and a perfect way to enjoy a bit of everything. Their kid’s menu also quite a steal. A local favorite for good reason!

The food was delicious but a little pricey. The service was amazing though, accommodating our very large group with grace. It was a friend’s birthday, and they let her spin a wheel for a prize!

Really fast service, I was impressed. The food...it was okay. We ordered the $70 menu for two (yes, everything on the picture) and I personally think it's not worth it. I love sushi and had better ones at Japanese buffets for low cost, but if this is your thing then, go you, boo! The pasta could use more seasonings 💕 don't take it the wrong way, it was not a bad experience. I just would've preferred the experience differently for a more affordable cost. 👀
