The only issue was where it was located as it’s tucked off somewhat behind Winco/Target on US 380 in Denton, and the sign doesn’t give clear indication from 380 where to go. It’s attached to the hotel. Needless to say once we found it, we were happy we did. The food was hot and all of the suggestions did not disappoint. Kinda hate we didn’t consider it sooner. Great service.

I had an absolute blast at Houlihans. It’s connected to the beautiful embassy suites. My husband and I live so close and were able to get drinks and food even though they were closing within the hour. The bartenders stole the show- the girls were so friendly and nice and didn’t rush us or make us feel bad which some would for coming in late. They made great recommendations, adjusted one drink that I wanted sweeter, and made my husband and I feel right at home- we had lots of good conversation and laughs even in that small amount of time. We will most definitely be back! I recommend the fried stuffed mushrooms- they have cream cheese in it which was unlike any dish I’ve had so so good! Thank you all for the warm welcome it’s so appreciated!

Just got back after two weeks on storm for Hurricane Ian, and this was the first real meal I had sat down to before flying home. The meal was fantastic. The service was attentive. The drinks were satisfying. Go. It was highly recommended to me before my arrival from other people in the trade, and not a bit of it was a disappointment. Meal Summary - Old Fashioned for a started cocktail. Appetizers were the stuffed mushrooms and seared tuna, entree was the meatloaf with a glass of Pinot Noir and dessert was cheesecake.

The food was awesome! I had the stuffed chicken breast and my husband had the cheesy cheeseburger. We had to wait a while before a server came after sitting down and it wasn't busy, but after that, we had good service (I'm thinking maybe it was shift change?). Definitely recommend going here! And we will be back!

Service is great for a hotel attached restaurant. Food is OK, even good at times. Second time here and the steak was a 3/5. Not bad but not great either. Fries were clearly of the frozen variety and not crispy or overly fresh tasting. Steak was cooked as I requested but not the best ribeye I've had for $29.99. Green beans were actually pretty good! Not bad, pricing is what I would expect for a hotel restaurant, but service is above what I would expect.

We sat at the bar until our entire party arrived. It was a Sunday evening so it wasn't very busy. This restaurant was in a hotel so I was expecting more options. Our server was helpful and courteous. The side options were limited, and the add ons as well. I ordered the salmon and also the firecracker shrimp from the appetizer menu since there were no add ons available. There were eight in our party, so we did order appetizers. Our food came out fairly quickly, considering the size of our party. The food was ok. The drinks were pretty good. My biggest issue was: the onion rings or fried onions that came on the burger were cold!

Usually I am not a fan of food in restaurant hotels, but I was rather surprise by Houlihan's. First impression - the young man that sat us was very polite, attentive and quick. Our order came out fast and he was very courteous. The place itself is very well maintained and looked clean, which is always a good sign. I ordered the Chicken Asian Chop Chop Salad and my wife the Fish Tacos with a side of Tortilla Soup. The entire meal was delicious and we walked away satisfied. Great job, Houlihan's!

The food was not great. We ordered the mozzarella sticks. It was one block of cheese fried and cut in four pieces. It was cold in the middle. The sauces that came with it were good. Our food took a long time to come out and unfortunately was not hot when it arrived. I ordered my burger well and it had plenty of pink. For the high price point the food was not impressive in my opinion.

The food was good, as usual. The service was HORRIBLE!! It is always bad, but tonight was exceptionally bad! We could barely get service to save our lives! Our waiter only came we sent someone to retrieve him and it still took forever. He had no people skills at all - unfriendly. Even the manager was pretty useless. The only reason we really come here is because a couple of the people in our party are hard of hearing and it is usually pretty quiet. However, after tonight, we may have to find another place.

My husband and I tried this place as we are staying at the hotel that it is in. We ordered the “popular” shrooms appetizer and got the ribeye steak with two sides. The appetizer had no flavor. The panko on the outside was burnt. Then our entrees came out. We both ordered our steaks medium and they were well done. The green beans were undercooked and the only thing that tasted good was the loaded baked potato. Everything we ate needed salt. Our waitress was very nice but would disappear frequently. I was so hoping this would be a great dinner for our last night in Denton but it was not worth the $84 we spent.

Ordered fish and chips meal special with appetizer and dessert. The chips (fries) were dry, stale and cold. The fish was burnt. They took off the special and charged individually for items (spinach dip and dessert). Poor service, manager never came to check on us. Server didn’t know what to do. Place looked empty, but still took long for service.

Takeaway: Go to Outback Steakhouse instead. This was such a disappointing and distasteful meal. It’s located inside the hotel. Pay $10 more and go to a place that serves hot delicious food and quick checks. SERVICE: The service was severely slow following the delivery of our food. We waited 30 or so minutes for the check after finishing our meal. Our waitress also forgot to put in the chips and salsa we asked for as a side. She was nice, but unfortunately nice only goes so far. FOOD: The fries were barely above lukewarm. The steaks lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes had gravy on top? Whatever it was didn’t taste the best so I ate the bottom of the mashed potatoes.

We came for an early dinner (5pm). There were about 5 other tables occupied. We ordered an appetizer which was brought out timely. Server had to be asked about refilling our drinks. Salads came out 45 minutes later and at that same time we were told our entrees were ready and under the warmer. What? My salad was brown (forgot to take the pic). Our food was over cooked, steak was full of gristle and over-cooked and the fish was burnt. A sad experience at best.
