Steuben’s always consistently has really great food. I have never been here and had a bad meal. Very happy with our choice to come here. We started with the Cobb Salad, lots of toppings 8.1/10. For entrees I had the pot roast but substituted the mashed potatoes for broccoli 7/10. My friend had the Cubano sandwiche, which he enjoyed a lot 8/10. We look forward to returning again in the near future. I highly suggest all the items on the dessert menu, a lot of good things on the menu.

Go here! The food is absolutely great! Definitely better than most, in a space with a nice vibe. The ROASTED BRUSSELS are the best we've ever had. The VANILLA SHAKE comes with extra on the side in a frosty silver mixing cup. A super flaky and unique pastry tops the POT PIE over a delicious savory filling. The GREEK SALAD is totally fresh. Plentiful servings all around from the nicely varied MENU to satisfy all tastes & preferences. And the SERVICE is phenomenal! We had ANTHONY - clearly a top pro waiter. Totally attentive, kind, accommodating, fast and unobtrusive. Quintessential Capitol Hill at its best!

Went for the special Valentines Day service. Specialty menu and cocktails were super fun and very good. Great flavor & very attentive staff. The Tira Mi Su was a great way to end the meal.

A Denver Classic! Always consistent and delicious 😋 I stopped in for a late lunch, was seated and waited on quickly. But would have waited because it's that good here. I tried a Salmon entree...it's got this chic pea relish under it and pops with salty, fresh, creamy flavors. For dessert this insanely good Key Lime Pie! Omg... it's amazing, bright, sweet and tart. Yummy!

I had a great time at Steuben’s! It’s good for large groups, but I went for date night! There BLT is absolutely delicious with perfect proportions of each ingredient and toasted bread. Their fried chicken is amazing and the fried chicken sandwich is so good. I highly recommend their fries.

Elevated Comfort Food That Hits Every Note! We walked in at 9pm and were welcomed like royalty: the staff was warm, attentive, and impressively knowledgeable. You could tell they cared not just about service, but about the food they were serving. And wow, the food. Every bite was a masterclass in comfort elevated to gourmet. *Mac & Cheese: Creamy, dreamy, and indulgent. The house-made béchamel sauce wrapped around the pasta like velvet, with just the right amount of cheese to make you close your eyes and savor. *Deviled Egg: Not your average picnic snack. This was artfully plated and bursting with flavor — the kind of dish that makes you rethink what a deviled egg can be. *Fried Chicken Sandwich: Let’s just say… OMG. A beast of delicious. Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and stacked like it meant business. It was the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate it. This place doesn’t just serve food - it serves joy. If you're looking for a late-night spot that delivers on flavor, hospitality, and presentation, this is it.

It's been a while since I've eaten here at Steuben's, and boy, have I missed it. This place does fantastic comfort food, and any hot sandwich you order is guaranteed to impress. I went with the Reuben, and it came out piping hot and delicious. This place is great for families, too, so be sure to check it out!

Great food and service. The patio is fun for holidays and special occasions and the dining room offers flexibility for different group sizes. We have gone there for birthdays, work parties, New Year's Eve, and on Christmas Eve. Every experience has been a good one.

Steuben's Uptown is everything you want in a diner. The menu is generally simple dishes that you can find anywhere, executed at a level you rarely get to enjoy. Their fried chicken is incredible, and the Nashville hot sauce is a revelation. The basic cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, and mayo was one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. The fries were just fries but fried to perfection. When I casually finished my burger after 30+ minutes the last fries were still crunchy. The cocktails are thoughtfully crafted as well as any food we ordered. Service was awesome at the bar as well. I won't be back to Denver anytime soon, but when I do I'll be coming back to try the pot roast, and lobster roll.

The donut holes are sublime, dinner is wonderful, but the Benedict’s at brunch are amazing the eggs are amazing!! Cooked perfectly. Lucas was fantastic waiter!

This was a fun place to eat at. We were looking for a delicious place to eat in the uptown part of Denver. We ordered the fried chicken plate, the Reuben sandwich, and the fungi Philly sandwich. All of it was awesome. The fried chicken was very moist and had great fried flavor. It came with a scratch, biscuit which was absolutely wonderful. The Reuben sandwich tasted perfect and we ordered fries to go with it- that was a good choice. And as a vegetarian looking for something good to eat, the fungi Philly really delivered. The the sauce on the Philly was so good and the mushrooms were cooked just right. I added fries to my plate too. The staff were so happy and helpful in our choices when it came to drinks and food and where to sit in the restaurant. I highly suggest this place for a great meal in the uptown part of town.

Such a fun diner like vibe but felt more classy then that. The drinks were totally awesome! The espresso martini was solid, not too sweet and nice and strong, served in a cute little old fashioned martini glass. The best drink of the night was the boozy White Russian milkshake we had for desert, THIS WAS SO SO SO GOOD. I would come back for this alone. Food was also delicious, I would definitely recommend the salmon. It was well cooked and the chickpeas it came with were delicious. Parking was a little tricky, you need to turn onto pearl street, that’s where the only entrance to the lot is. They had several spots reserved for their customers so it was pretty easy to grab a spot

Nothing but great things to say! We were seated in a very table, the service was fantastic, and the food even impressed my picky eater partner as well! We had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and the Cubano. Both were to die for, and we shared the $25 Aperol spritz carafe which was great as well!

Five years in Denver, and first time at Steubens. WOW! It is truly the gem of the neighborhood and my only regret is not discovering it earlier. From the friendly service our server Barbie and their entire team provided, to the delicious gluten-free options. I cannot recommend a better restaurant in the area. My mother with celiac disease gives high praise to their gluten free buns (extremely rare, if not ever) and for myself? The Connecticut lobster roll I ordered and devoured was superb. I will be returning & recommending. Congrats to the team!

The food and service were great as always. The staff were very attentive about my food allergy, which was nice. I highly recommend the lobster roll. And don’t sleep on the stubie snacks or the bacon blue salad it’s amazing.

We had a really nice time, the food was great, staff was pleasant, the atmosphere is a retro and takes you back to what the 60s and 70s looked like.

Small group of us went here after a night of drinking and had a fabulous time. It's a retro-style diner with a good variety of menu options. It was our first time visiting Steuben's and the service was very attentive and friendly. And the food was really good. I tried the Nashville hot chicken and it was spicy as advertised. Their lobster Mac and cheese was also delicious. I recommend this place for anyone that enjoys diner style restaurants that's loves comfort style food. It's great for group or individual dining.

Obsessed!! Food and service were so great! Came here good an early brunch. Shared some decadent monkey bread and deviled eggs. Fries were delicious, patty melt looked amazing. I had the smoked salmon avocado toast! 😋 Amazing!! Actually left brunch not feeling gross. Lots of tasty cocktails, mocktails, and beers. So many options! Great for groups.

Cool retro place to grab lunch or dinner in Denver! The food here was great as we would expect from and DDD stop weve made. The patty melt was an absolute stand out and is easily the best burger I've ever had. The kids meal comes with icecream and the donutholes really hit the spot at the end of our meal. 100% recommended!

Mid century elevated diner vibes! We stopped in for date night and sat at the bar and had exceptional service. All her recommendations were spot on. We started with the deviled eggs which were classically prepared and divine. Then we had a Lobster Roll off, the Conneticut vs the Maine. I personally preferred the Conneticut because I prefer lobster served warm. It was light and perfectly buttered! Then for desert we went with the butterscotch pudding and our only disappointment was that we didn't order 2. Great spot to stop in to, the atmosphere is fun and the service is good and food was exceptional. We will definitely be back.

When we first arrived we had to wait for a long time before our table due to a lack of a hostess. We also had to stand in the takeout area due to the table not being ready because people were still at our table. The food, however, was delicious. Crispy, juicy chicken, fresh beef, great shakes and sauces and more. Super great. Atmosphere was nice, lots of decorations and the heat on the patio (where we sat) was excellent. Not too hot or too cold. Great place!

I had a great meal here on a Friday night. Everything we tried was very good and came out quickly. Staff was very friendly. I will certainly be back next time I’m in the area.

A really great place to visit if you are nearby. My wife was blown away by the quality of her coctail and the Monte Cristo sandwich was pretty brilliant. The patty melt was okay, great flavors but nothing was a standout. I've Overall, a great place to try.

Steuben’s Uptown offers a cool, modern American diner vibe with a lively atmosphere. The server was friendly and gave excellent food and drink recommendations, which really enhanced the overall experience. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was delightfully crispy, paired with well-seasoned French fries. The tartar sauce had a unique flavor that made me want to keep dipping. Their happy hour drink specials are also priced well for what you get. If you’re in the area (especially during happy hour) Steuben’s Uptown is definitely worth a visit. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by the American fare, and you might be pleasantly surprised by the modern diner interior, just as I was.

Stopped in for dinner before heading to Colorado Springs. Love the decor and the service was great. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts and the fried chicken platter.

Very authentic American dining experience! We enjoyed it a lot about the atmosphere, the super friendly service and the food. The portion is very generous and all the items we ordered are very tasty. Highly recommend!

Popular diner on E 17th. The menu isn't huge, but there are some less usual options such as lobster rolls. The cheeseburger is very good and went well with a root beer float on a hot day. I liked the devil's egg appetizer. Service was fast and friendly. The space has high top and low top seating plus a large bar and outdoor seating. It was fairly quiet and comfortable when I was there They do have password protected Wi-Fi available for customers. In addition to their own parking lot, there are bike racks.

Absolutely loved Steuben’s Uptown! The Pork Green Chile was rich and flavorful, the . Service was outstanding—Cailin made sure everything was perfect. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a nice touch with their support for the kitchen team. Highly recommend for a fun, satisfying meal in Denver!

Ya know my five stars don’t always go out to the most fancy fine dining spots, and this is a good example. Some times a five star is just a place you wanna visit every time you’re in the area. This is 100 percent one of those. I live in TX and inevitable every time I come to Denver I pick this spot with my buds. This visit there was a winter storm and we got the green chili burger, patty melt and pot roast for entrees and the super fat kid plate of fries and gravy which SLAPPED. We also went with hot Tate’s which were soooo good. The pot roast one, patty melt second, and burger third. All were great tho. Don’t sleep on this place. Go now!!!

Incredible comfort food, cozy atmosphere and a lovely staff. The restaurant was incredibly clean and the smells wafting from the kitchen were nothing less than intoxicating. If you’re gluten sensitive: While gluten-free bread is not on the menu, they do have sourdough bread (which some people who are gluten-sensitive can better tolerate than traditional breads). The sourdough grilled cheese and tomato soup made me feel like I’d gone back in time and was enjoying a home cooked meal from childhood. Our server Sam was a pure delight; he was kind, attentive and very well informed on the menu. He made sure we felt right at home (and definitely deserves a raise!). Would definitely recommend this as a great lunch/dinner date if you’re in the area! EDIT: Apologies for the double submission of this review/photos. I accidentally submitted the review through the wrong email account the first time (and am correcting it to keep it under my main email account for restaurant reviews).

I had a great lobster roll with butter. It comes with no lemon, no other sauce, just a generous portion of fries. I couldn't finish the fries. The lobster was fresh. If you pay by card it seems you need to go inside to do that. I wasn't told so and I was just waiting for them to come with the p.o.s. After a while I realised they were not coming so I went to find someone and paid inside. A lot of students were there at the time, it is a nice, vibrant and positive ambience.

There is something for everyone here. Retro style cocktails, Monte Cristo sammies will send you into a sugarfried high, Fried chicken and waffles are exactly what the doctor ordered. 2 of us had the Schnitzel, but we could have split one between us, it was huge! Big portions! Great atmosphere. Love this place.

The restaurant delivers a lively, retro-style diner experience with a menu of elevated American comfort food, including standouts like green chile cheeseburgers and lobster rolls. The atmosphere is warm and energetic, decorated with vintage touches and offering a full cocktail bar, making it well-suited for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Service is friendly and attentive, and the portion sizes are generous, though parking can be challenging during peak hours and wait times may increase when busy. Overall it’s a solid choice for those wanting a fun, flavorful meal in a spot that combines nostalgia with quality.

This place is a hidden gem! I enjoyed clam chowder in a bread bowl- my husband had the crunch burger. His only recommendation, change the bread used. Maybe a sourdough or just don’t season it? Either way- still good. We also ordered bread pudding and OMGoodness! Delicious! Next time I want to come back for a cocktail and dessert.

Headed to Steubie's last night for the Holiday pop with a few girlfriends from work. I had unconfirmed numbers between 5-10, so at the last minute asked if I could book a table for 8. They were unsure if they could do it on the phone but said if you can squish, we will fit you. When I got there, not only did they have a lovely big table set for 8 in the corner, it even had my name on it, a really classy touch! Katelin (Apologies on the spelling) was our wait staff and was an absolute joy! She handled a whole bunch of tables with absolute calm and a wonderful charm that made us feel very welcome. We never felt rushed and I didn't feel bad at all from her about the fact that my numbers dwindled as the evening went on and showed up willy nilly at all times in the evening. She took time to explain dishes and drinks to our sometimes picky group and made a few adjustments for our folks when they asked. It turned out it was supposed to be her day off but she came in anywho and I have to say she did a stellar job. The Drinks were fab and very cute, and the food as always was awesome. It was nice to be offered the happy hour option in the pop up, I was thinking that would only be in the main area of the bar so that was a nice surprise. It was well decorated and felt festive and homey, which was the concept they were going for. I would absolutely suggest booking your holiday party at Steuben's this year, it was an awesome evening.

Literally THE best restaurant ever, my favorite date spot and some of the most delicious food I've ever tasted (which is saying a lot considering they have very common dishes, but they go above and beyond in flavor and quality - nothing compares so far.) If I could get the recipes, I would. I have trouble deciding on my food everytime because everything on the menu is so insanely good! I haven't tried too many of their drinks but my only critique would maybe be some lighter drink options - I love the Blueberry Basil drink they have and could have probably asked to add alcohol but I wasn't sure what they'd say 😅 I'm sure they would have said yes! Can't go wrong with Steuben's 💗

Service was good, the burger was great, I made it a double and added bacon. It was messy but that's on me. The mashed potatoes and gravy was great. The only points of failure was my "old" old fashioned was made poorly. They didn't mix it properly so all the simple syrup was at the bottom making the last few swallows very sweet. The fried chicken was very disappointing, the breading was over fried and had no real flavor.

L
Linda M.

I had the grilled Reuben sandwich. It was okay, the ratio of pastrami to sourkraut was off, and the melted cheese was delicious but over powered by too much sourkraut. The Monte Cristo looked delicious and my friend thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the donuts with the vanilla sauce and tge deviled Eggs were delicious.

The vibe here is genuine old-skool Denver so it’s a great place to take someone who’s new to the area and never been. We came for the holiday drinks, which were delicious but expensive. And, we had to wait 15 minutes for them to make a new batch of the drink we ordered, which seems a bit long to wait for any drink, especially if it’s listed in a special menu just for the holidays. The blackberry mojito on happy special was okay. Not overpriced but lacking any mint whatsoever. It’s not really a mojito without mint, now is it? The server, George, was friendly and enjoyable, which was the best part of our experience. However we received an extra charge on top of our drink bill for “culinary appreciation” and we didn’t have any food whatsoever. I’m still boggled as to why this charge was added. We did leave a tip, so it seems a bit excessive and unwarranted. I probably will not come back due to this. Just raise your prices instead of tacking on extra charges without any disclosure of such. It’s already too expensive to go out anymore and the wages have gone up in Denver so I’m not really sure what restaurants are expecting from their patrons. It just left a bad taste in my mouth altogether, unfortunately.

Was super excited about the deviled eggs, but they were over cooked and white was rubbery. I had the Cuban and w would give it a 3, the fries were a 5. My husband had the fried chicken. It was good, but nothing extraordinary. The mashed potatoes and roll were the highlight for him.

M
Marwan K

Good food. Pricey. Sides are not included with any burgers or sandwiches. Fries are $5. $17 Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich on the smaller side, and that does not include a side. There is a 4% Culinary Appreciation surcharge that offends me. I adjusted the tip amount to offset that. At the prices they charge, they can compensate their own employees. Bottom line: tasty food but not good value!!

S
Sam Brokaw

Fantastic food and drinks but over priced. Two people in our group ordered a side of fries but one came out in a side container with twice as many fries as the person who's fries came on their plate. $10 for a side of mac n cheese that was severely lacking in flavor was disappointing. One of the best smash burgers I've had and amazing drinks, just not a place I would suggest or go out of my way to try again.

I liked to think I could count on this place to have quality, well executed , flavorful food. Always looked at this restaurant like a comforting treat experience. It used to be great. The pot pie was mostly chicken skin, gristle, and knuckle. More inedible chicken scraps than muscle protein. Disappointing. Everywhere I go, restaurant quality is plummeting overall. I mentioned it to the server and nothing was done to make it right. Mocktail was great. Steak on Caesar salad was cooked as ordered. Our server was a little too casual even for this laid back environment but very kind and personable. Patio was delightful.

This place just gets worse and worse. I ordered meatloaf and they put it in the smallest box completely laying over my mashed potatoes and broccoli. The meatloaf was so soggy and undercooked. I had to put it in the microwave. It was like a mush. I feel like they just keep getting worse and worse, which I’m very disappointed in because I used to love this place and I live across the street.

Normally, this place is great. I don't know what was going on tonight. First, it took over an hour for our food to come out. People who were seated after us got and ate and left before our food showed up. Once the food showed up, it was disappointing. The meatloaf was burnt, the pot roast dinner was 50% fat, and the chicken nuggets were also burnt. 2 of the 3 kids' meals came out without a ranch for the veggies. So I then asked for the ranches that were supposed to be included with the kids' meals and was charged for them. That was the straw that broke the camels back. When I asked to speak to a manager, they never came. They did end up giving us a $6 discount (which is an insult). I didn't want a discount, I wanted to talk to the manager to let them see and know what is going on. Food and service were awful tonight. Side note the fruit flies were also awful tonight.

As a new resident who moved here less than six months ago, I tried hard to make Steuben's my local spot, giving them three separate chances. The quality declined quickly. My first visit was okay, but the second included poor food quality, where the meatloaf tasted like leftovers, and we had to wait 25 minutes despite the dining room being half empty. The third visit was the final disappointment. We walked in, saw the restaurant was under 60% capacity with open tables, and with only one group ahead of us, but the young blonde waitress was more interested in taking a call than checking in with customers. When we finally asked about a table, she abruptly told us they were "closed to walk-ins, if you want to can wait for the bar to open up" (the bar was packed!) due to online booking errors. This level of dismissive service and reliance on a broken system is unacceptable. We went next door, who were clearly busier, and were seated immediately. As someone with over 25 years of experience in managing successful teams, I believe Steuben's needs an overhaul, maybe even new management to implement basic efficient systems and properly train staff. If they do not address these issues with capacity, service, and consistency, this location will likely not survive. I tried to support this business, but I cannot recommend it in its current state.

We had a terrible experience. After waiting for an hour for our food, we finally got burnt fried chicken. I was only able to eat part of it. The other two pieces were inedible. The biscuit and mashed potatoes were cold and both had a funny taste. The gravy tasted odd. The deviled eggs were atleast good. The Mac n cheese at Steubens used to be amazing, but now it’s just super runny. It is frustrating when you are excited to come out to eat and the food isn’t good and they don’t care. They also took away the deviled egg I was going to save. The service at Steubens used to be great. We left hungry.

The overall experience & quality of food was very poor. We had a Sunday 7:30pm reservation for (6). 8 mins before anyone greeted us at table. 1 out of 3 shakeS never came, neither did waiter. Had to flag him down after 10 mins to ask where last shake was. Meals delivered & then no condiments at table. Had to flag down waiter and ask for the basic condiments. Still waiting on 1 meal. Waiter said nothing about the 1 meal MIA. After another 10 mins flagged waiter down again to ask if meal was coming. 1cheeseburger was RARE. The MIA meal did come 17 mins after the others. A different waiter came by, asked me if I wanted a to go box for mine, I kindly said no thank you, but would like to talk to a manager. Manger came in her champion black hoodie and black cotton elastic pants. Appeared PJ style outfit. It was difficult for her to get near me or our table due to her size. I shared my experience and concern for the waiter struggling many times. Showed her the cheeseburger, which she said, was rare. She did not use eye contact as she did her apology speech, which she did with no sincere passion, she looked around & down at the floor. I finally asked her if she could look at me. She took another 7-8 mins to work on the bill, figuring out what she was going to comp. We have been many times here and worst experience. Plus….. 4% culinary fee on bill for the meal. Waiter struggled whole time.
