This is the second time I have been to this location and both have been a positive experience. It's like having a home cooked meal without having to do the cooking. The process are reasonable. The service has been especially great both times. (Thanks diamond!) The staff all seem welcoming and friendly. Nothing bad to say at all.
Ronni took care of us this morning and was wonderful! The place was packed, but she was still friendly, professional, and timely with our orders and requests. Will definitely come back for more steak and eggs!
My family visits Cracker Barrel at least 2 to 3 times a month. The food is always on point. And if you have any concerns they are taken care of in a very timely manner. If there’s a waiting time shopping in the store is always good. Especially with my little Princess, of course she loves the toys and candy. While checking out we notice that the waiter charged us for two ice teas which we both had water and apple juice for the little one. We made the cashier aware, the manager was like so you didn’t have tea we said no we had two waters do you need to ask our server??? She asked again we said no!! How many times do we have to say no we didn’t have tea!! Her demeanor wasn’t nice at all being a manager. It was a little disappointing.
Food was hot and the service outstanding. Miss Ronni made you feel like you were eating at her house. As busy as it was, she was kind, fast, kept checking on us as well as not missing a beat with everyone else she was taking care of. Great way to start our day thanks to her!
I know everyone already knows about Cracker Barrel but come on when was the last time you went in. Love their Breakfast, so many choices, healthy choices as well. Great comfort food. This location has very friendly staff. Of course I can never help but go into the store to look around. Did you know every store has a clearance section.
It has been awhile since we visited here. We had a wait time of 40 min. When we were seated the young man who waited on us seemed to be a bit new. Anyway my food, the lemon trout was excellent, although a bit on the thin side but you got two. The sides of sweet baby carrots and broccoli were cooked perfectly. Although what my husband had, the fish and chips, were not up to par. The fish was dry and hard. But I thank the other gentlemen (manager?) for the birthday dessert my husband got. One thing that was disturbing was that the young man never came around to clear off our plates as we finished them. And he never asked to refill our water glasses or if we wanted to refill our drinks. On the way out I bought a gift and I want to thank the shop personnel and cashier for their help. All in all it was a pleasant dinner.
Lea was a great server and the hash browns skillet was soooo good. We also got the mini beignets, served hot and fresh! Of course you have to eat the soft biscuits with apple butter. Yummy 😋
Food was very good..service with a smile and polite, courteous attention..every Cracker Barrel is loud..no worries..always enjoy looking at antiques that adorn these restaurants
Great experience while traveling! Delicious food and friendly & attentive staff. Will definately stop by the next time I'm in the area.
My first time visiting a Cracker Barrel I ordered the chicken fried steak with a side of mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The chicken fried steak was DELICIOUS!!! One of the best I ever had to be honest. The potatoes were good, needed a little seasoning for my taste. The Mac n cheese was super Only thing was was I wanted more !!! I will definitely look for cracker barrel's in my future travels. (The young lady Eureka was our server she was very polite, and very attentive will definitely visit soon. They also have a store where you definitely find something special for everyone & have have old school memobelia
Had the Tuesday special. Really good. service was a bit slow, but the waitress was new so no worries. Store was fun. Bought some old time candy and sat on the front porch for a while.
I love their pancakes. And I like how they have so many options on their menu. Customer service at this location was good and the server took time to suggest us items from the menu based on our preference. One thing they could improve on is their sign. It was hard to see it from the road and I almost missed the turn.
It actually took 30 Minutes to get acknowledged by A Waiter at the table. Then after taking the Order, he never put the order in so that was another 30 minutes and another Waitress noticed the problem and took over which meant that we had sat there for 1 hr before our Order was Entered. We literally watched several people come in, eat and leave before getting our Food. This was the worst experience I ever had but the Management acknowledged that this was unacceptable Service and took care of the Bill to Ensure that Out Party received Complete Satisfaction.
Standard store. Staff was nice. Manager walked around to greet and was very helpful. Food was a little bland though.
It was late but we were hungry. As we walked in another couple was angrily demanding a refund because of poor service. We were seated by the manager. It took a while but we were served by a young man. He did a decent job as our waiter but could was a little slow on getting things done. Over all he did a good job. The food was also just ok. But again we got there with less than an hour to close.
Very busy location, in the mornings there's about an hour wait gives you time to browse around the store. Host stand isnt very organized usually when theres a line. But once you get seated the food is wonderful, the service can be a bit stretched out but with all the customers its understandable.
Immediately greeted. Short wait to be seated. Server was a sweet high school student named Zariah. My juice of preference is cranberry but they only offer orange juice or apple juice. Decided on a hot chocolate and really liked the chocolate whipped cream topping. Pancakes were crispy around the edges the way I like. The over easy eggs were just right. The grits has the perfect consistency so all I added was a little butter. Didn't try the spicy chicken sausage because I was full but packed them to go. I was disappointed they they didn't have any turkey sausage or bacon on the menu. They have fall and Christmas decor available for sale already.
Had an enjoyable luncheon experience on Wednesday. I decided to revisit I was not disappointed. EVERYTHING was good. My waiter Whitney was phenomenal. Hadnt been to Cracker Barrel since pandemic so I really wanted some southern food. I was very disappointed in the food. Service was good. My son had the breakfast platter. He didnt have complaints about his breakfast .... I order the meatloaf, dumplings and wanted to tried the fried pickles . The dumplings were so thick they were horrible. I can't describe the fried pickles. I will try maybe again around dinner menu.
Chose this spot to have Thanksgiving Dinner based on the promoted $1349. Dinner offering, was told to phone when on our way and be placed on the wait list, neither of which were true, meal was $16.99 and it name on list with a 45 minute wait. Overall value for food good, service excellent considering how busy it was being Thanksgiving
Did the online reservation as this location is always busy and the waits can be long. The wait was not the issue this go around because we made reservations. The breakfast was good and it’s a kid friendly environment and the kids tend to like Cracker Barrel. We are reoccurring customers.
Meet up with my college roommate and had brunch. Service was fine but food wasn't that exciting. We'll try again.

I have never had cracker barrel anywhere. I was excited to give it a try. I was really disappointed in the flavor of the food and the lack of genuine customer service. I don't know if it's just the people they hired, the cooks or what but we walked in and the girl seating us was somewhat welcoming. Our waiter; maybe new or something, didn't know or acted like he didn't know what we were saying. Answering with a question and didn't know what the soups were that were available. He didn't write down the order while at the table so came back to ask what sides I had. The food arrived and it did NOT look appetizing at all. The flavor was bland and I make better Mac and cheese. The Chile jack chicken look awful and if it was not for the Chile's I would not have ate it. The french dip my mom had was salty and they did not give a lot of dip for the sandwich. I won't be back anytime soon. Horrible for my first visit.
6pm Saturday, May 4. I finally had the chance to eat here. Every time I've tried to eat here there's always a wait of two hours, today I waited 20 minutes. I ordered chicken fried chicken with mash, corn, and mac and cheese. Food was good. In my opinion the food lacked flavor but maybe that's just me. I just can't understand why people kept ordering breakfast I would've preferred eating eggs and bacon with a side of pancakes too like everyone else. The tables are too close to each other the lady next to us kept looking over and listening to our conversation. I was getting irritated with that but I tried to ignore her. I don't want to be negative, on the positive side they have a good gift shop, great items for the kids. I like the fact that they have rocking chairs in the front and checkers for the kids to play with while you wait. Employees were friendly I saw that the manager was very Hands-On, everybody was very polite. I like the vintage decor hanging on the ceiling, the black and white pictures throughout the restaurant.
The staff was very friendly and everyone's food was good. I'm glad they are starting to have some more veggie options! We tried the Impossible Sausage and approve. Complaint: The ladies room was disgusting.. The trashes were all overflowing, there were stalls with no toilet paper, and it just needed a good cleaning. My husband said the mens room was the same. My mother said she let the staff know when we first arrived but it was in the same condition when we were leaving. I know we came at a busy time and just ate here in passing so maybe it was just a fluke.
Went there for Saturday breakfast. It was extremely crowded. We were able to get an estimate on how long it toyed take for a table, was able to shop and come back. They seemed short staffed as it took some time to get drinks and the order. Got french toast and it was not very good. The beat part of the meal was the jokes on the mill cartoon.
Food was great, however, this place needs a serious deep cleaning. We were sat at a table that still had food al over it, I also went to the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. I've been to cleaner gas station restrooms. Dirty diapers on the floor, toilets clogged, some stalls were completely out of paper, paper towel bins completely ful so they were being thrown all over the ground Makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like. I wish I would have seen the restroom first, I definitely would have left seeing that.
I have been looking for a good time to try this place. Today was the day. Going inside of the restaurant was a little bit confusing because there is a gift shop on the main entrance and you need to walk through to go to the restaurant. My Waitress was totally lost on her job, When I asked for a signature dishes, her recommendation was a hamburger ...so I decide to check the menu by myself and choose what I think can be good here. This is what I tried: 4 pieces of fried chicken. Baked beans Corn bread Dumplings. The beans were totally tasteless. Same happened with dumplings. The cornbread was good. The chicken was very good totally fulfilled my expectations, My Coca-Cola was mostly ice, asked for a refill but never happened, it came in a dirty glass (with stuff stick to the outside). Bathrooms were dirty. (...and the staff may need to know what customer service means, at least the one taking care of my table and the guy at checkout). I believe your food experience here can be better if you have a professional waitress taking care of your table. This place is very well decorated, beautiful... it is a whole experience, make you feel like in the country. I will definitely come back and try something new (in a different location).
The restrooms left much to be desired. There was a 20 minute wait for food which wasn't too bad. Fortunately they have not changed the decor yet. This is the authentic look and menu we all love ❤️ still
I have not been to Cracker Barrel in awhile and today I was a little disappointed. I ordered Chicken Fried steak, hash brown casserole & fried okra but the taste was a little off. I had to ask for my gravy, they only had brown. I had to ask for our bread which normally comes out with our drinks. And it took awhile for our drinks to come. And surprisingly it was not crowded. But we still had to wait 25 minutes. Not very satisfactory at all.
Food is good, when you get what you ordered or get all of your meal. Love the beef campfire meal but this is all I got. Where’s the potato’s and corn. Called the store, and they had me waiting in the phone for about an hour. 3rd time my order is missing items and they are very slow at this location.
First time ever trying Cracker Barrel Order: Grilled chicken with broccoli and beans, fried catfish, meatloaf with sides of dumplings and fried okra. The Good: The atmosphere is definitely one of Cracker Barrel’s strong points. The decor has a fun, homestyle, and cozy vibe that makes you feel like you’re in a rustic, welcoming space. It’s rare to find a nationwide chain serving comfort food like meatloaf and chicken dumplings, so I appreciated the variety on the menu. The food, for the most part, was fresh and clean-tasting, and the deep-fried items, particularly the catfish and okra, had a solid, crispy texture without being greasy. Also I’m not sure why, but I got a blue plate on my grilled chicken and that made me happy! The Bad: The service at this location was a bit of a letdown. My waitress seemed to have an attitude, and the monotone, almost arrogant way she spoke didn’t really help the experience. When it comes to the food, it was very standard and honestly, nothing stood out. Everything just tasted kind of plain—like they didn’t put much thought into the seasoning especially salt levels. On top of that, the bathrooms were not very clean, which was another downside. Overall: I’m open to giving Cracker Barrel another chance at a different location because I know experiences can vary. However, at this particular spot, I wouldn’t rush to return unless I was with others who really wanted to go.
The food was okay. You could tell the restaurant was understaffed, so it took a while for our food. The server made a few hiccups but was so friendly. The food was not really remembrable... It was my first time going, and I was told this place was the best, but I soon realized I was definitely not missing anything. Got the homestyle chicken sandwich that had a good sauce.
8-5-2024 I visited store # 266 Manager Tameron emp# 1817036. First issue the location is ALWAYS out of items on the Menu. We ordered the Country Fried Chicken- OUT, Dumplings-OUT. Food warm, not hot. My complaint- I Ordered a Side salad and loaded baked potato. No other dish beside my husbands order. On the Menu it read Loaded bake potato $1.99 Side Salad $2.49 is what I thought I was paying for. We get the ticket it has Kids vegetable plate $5.19 House salad $2.49 and loaded bake potato $1.99. The ticket was redone three times. I ask why is there a kids Vegetable plate on the ticket. I never received a clear answer. I was told it's cheaper to ring up this way. I thought NO after reviewing. I'm paying prices thats not on the Menu anywhere. Charged for a Bake potato $3.49, can't find on the menu. House salad $5.19 when ordering as a Premium Side. I ordered two single items. Manager nor waitress could explain. So he deducted the drinks. Why the kids vegetable meal $5.19. The waitress said the potato was included in the $5.19 but the charged was on the ticket for $1.99. PLEASE fix the menu to read correctly. We paid the ticket and yes left her a tip. I left confused 😕 I hadn't been because of the service. Thought I'd try it again, and got this. I'm done with this location although it's closer to home. I know this is long. Hopefully you can understand, the manager or staff could not explain. A picture of two out of three tickets below. Thank you!
So far this has been one of the best experiences and eating pleasures since moving to the area. The employees were on point and professional. Provided fast service and checked in on us frequently. The manager was involved and kept the flow of business moving and very pleasant. Update, after a few more attempts to receive the same quality and service I am sad to say that this place is slipping. The customer service is very stale, the last lunch and dinner meals were not fresh after being told they ran out of something during the lunch time. So on my last visit I walked into a practically empty restaurant and placed on the wait for 20 mins, I noticed that staff was slowly arriving and the host/lobby was filling up and 40% of the store was still vacant. They could have seated the customers and offered water and such. And staged them for the core serving staff, which were trying their best to work through the breakfast rush. But after waiting I was seated and now the restaurant was still 35% empty and a new wait has begun. It seems the flies beat me to a table so I had to vanquish them as they visited me.
We were told that the wait was 30 minutes and we waited an hour. The bathroom was hazardously dirty. We amused ourselves by shopping. When we were finally seated after asking for our waiter because none came Isaiah in formed us that there would be an additional 45 minutes to an hour wait for food so we left without eating after waiting there for an hour and 20 minutes. They were busy, but if after a longer than expected wait in the first place I feel that the management should have informed everyone before seating if there would be an hour wait once we were seated. I try not to leave bad reviews. This was the worst experience that I have ever had at a restaurant.
I’ve consistently had issues with this Cracker Barrel location when it comes to to-go orders. The service is extremely slow, and the pickup times listed on the website are never accurate. No matter what time you place your order, expect to wait an extra 10 to 30 minutes once you arrive. It honestly feels like there’s only one person working in the kitchen. Really disappointing, especially when you’re trying to grab a quick meal.
Food was ready on time, it was a mobile order. I ordered the broccoli cheddar chicken. The sauce or whatever it is they put over the chicken is tasty, but I started to wonder where the chicken is. Dig around finally find it, it's the smallest piece of chicken I've ever seen to be included in a entree. Idk if this is intended but it's sad.
Food was okay. Service was terrible, not by our waiter. He was nice, still new but the hostess lady as so rude. This was our first time here, we were unaware we had to wait to check be seated as there is no sign and no one was at the front. We sat down, just for her to move us to a same table on 1 row down. She also made a HUGE deal because we had a baby with us in a stroller. She forcefully wanted us to sit the baby in a high chair. The baby doesnt sit up without assistance so we didn't want one. She kept saying she needed the aisle clear. So we obliged and took the high chair. The baby was uncomfortable so after a while we moved them back to the stroller. And just moved the seat to the side. She came back and rudely removed all extra chairs and moved our stroller with the baby saying we were in the way. Even the table next to us told her she was being extra and that the baby was no bother since the restaurant was practically empty. First and last time at Cracker Barrel. Horrible experience. Rude lady. Included photos showing stroller was not in the way, and the place was empty. Not worth the 55$ spent here.
Good food. Good service. Good price. That was three years ago. Went back today and unfortunately we were greatly disappointed. Restaurant was only 20% full, yet we waited 30 minutes. Understand there is a national shortage of workers but that is still.my time wasted. Then waited another forty minutes to get our food. Service was kind but not profesional. I was ready to walk our family out with no food. Food was tasty and plenty. So sorry to see this restaurant down like this. Changed my original five star to a two star. Hated to make that change.
The wait for our food was really long, it waited was apologetic and nice. We couldn't get the QR code to work so that we could pay at our table. We waited about 30mins at the register while the young lady went to the back to be able to ring us up at the register. Then the next day both payments came from our bank account. Now we can't get the restaurant management to give us a refund, can't get anyone on the phone from the company to answer the phone or if they do they can't fix the problem. So they were paid twice for one meal and were still waiting for good service and a refund. Still waiting!
Oh my where do I start. Everything started out great, then after our appetizer came out it went downhill. They weren't exceptionally busy and maybe our waiter was new but after our appetizer was brought to the table he didn't come back until our food was ready which was a good 10 to 15 minutes. So our drinks were not refilled once. When we finally got our refill one of them was wrong. When the waiter brought out the correct drink you could tell he just poured out the coke and filled it with dr pepper. The hashbrown casserole tots were really good as were the pancakes. The rest of my food was alright. When we went to pay the cashiers were to busy with their own conversations to acknowledge they have customers standing in line. I had to stand there and wait for them to get done talking to pay for my meal. Literally the only thing she said to me was if you want to leave a tip do this.. There was nothing else, no thank you have a nice day nothing.. Just went back talking to their coworker. Last but probably the most important thing was the smell in the womens restroom.. It smelled like old pee so bad I gagged when I went in there. This location needs some serious attention.
Terrible customer service, Karen P was friendly but I saw her cater to her three other tables, I never received my lemon with my water, they received biscuits. It was only me and I waited 42 minutes for my food and when she brought it, it was warm and she said I know you waited a long time for your food, that was it. After she brought mines the table behind party of 7 food was out within 8 minutes. I will be back, but not to her section. I don’t wanna say racially motivated, but I was the only African-American and everyone else was Hispanic so it just felt some type of way. Buy me being the only person to serve and everyone else had large groups. I was the only one neglected.
I love Cracker Barrel. I was a staple of my childhood for special occasions. This location is struggling. I think they’re understaffed, but the past three times we’ve gone it’s been pretty rough. One time we sat at our table for 18 minutes and then left because no one even came by to take drinks. We went last night at about 5 o’clock thinking it would be less crowded. There were 6 table being used the rest were empty and they still told us there was a 25 minute wait due to staffing issues. After 38 minutes we were taken to our seat. The server was trying really hard, but our meal came out in four different stages. Don’t think we’re going go back anytime soon.
The hostess put a damper on the experience. I asked to be reseated to another location due to the seats being in a high traffic area and I wanted a less traffic area to enjoy conversation. The hostess had a MAJOR attitude about my request to move. I did speak with the manager at the time and I do understand the seating rotation to ensure that all servers have an opportunity to serve. However, it was the attitude of the hostess. The food was luke cool. The server was kind and attentive. I am not sure if I will return to this place ... Overall the experience was not that great.
It’s decent for the price. Service is okay, like no complaints but nothing special. I had some fried chicken it was so good reminded me of the old school KFC the meat loaf was okay didn’t like them hard cardboard muffins. That gravy i didn’t like at all. And the greens taste like they fresh out of a can. I mean honestly food is mediocre but for the price hey why not.
2024 Update: Haven’t been here in years but I came today, on Mother’s Day. Came in @ 950 and didn’t get seated until almost noon. Once we were seated, the floor under table had so much food under it, a whole meal could have been made, but we stayed, but waitress came and was very nice and immediately took our order, we already knew what we wanted. She brought our drinks out and the wait began. It was an hour and a half before the food came out. Before it came, the waitress came and apologized and said she would send a manager over, without me having to ask for one. He came over and was very polite and apologetic. But once it came, it was like they should have kept it. The steak was dry and burnt when medium well was ordered, I could have bounced my eggs like a basketball, they were so overcooked and the hash brown casserole was so runny, they were sliding across the plate. I know it’s a holiday and things can get a little backed up but this was terrible. I’ve been here for holidays but this was the worst. The only thing that was good was the peach mimosa. They always have great good. If you can stand to wait for seating, you will leave out full and satisfied.
The restaurant was pretty empty. Was told a 15 - 20 wait. You now get on list. They will text you when your table is ready. It took an hour to get a table. I never got a text. We had to ask host and wait there by then to get a table. Another 15 min. To get the waiter and drinks. We spent 2 hours to eat dinner. The food was not even warm. We did ask about the problems and was told that the problem was in the kitchen. Sound like a lack of workers. We will wait longer before going back. Not a good visit this time which is a shame. Good luck to others.
When mom wants lunch and you want breakfast you find a restaurant that will accommodate both. Cracker Barrel was the closest option. The long wait to be greeted and seated should have been an indication of what to expect. Grandma’s Sampler wasn’t a good choice. The turkey sausage was overcooked and dry, the hash brown casserole was 🤔 different. Thankfully their pancakes were a hit! Our server Dommy was friendly and served us with a smile. The experience was well below my expectations but I guess everyone tried to do their part. The sausage and hash brown casserole were the only reason both plates weren’t cleaned.

Forks and spoons had fingerprints, didn't get water for 15 min after being seated. We cancelled our order and left. The bathroom had paper towels on the floor and trash overflowing. Eww! Never coming back again! Ruined it for all future experience.
Worse roast beef meal ever. Hopefully I can post a picture of how it look. This only happens when it’s delivered by Uber Eart vs dinning in. I guess they make sure that old and stale food is delivered to customers knowing that they are not going to take the time to bring back the food that was delivered. I spent near a $100 on some nasty food. Money wasted!!!!
Wow so disappointed and dissatisfied with the curb side at this location. We ordered $75 worth of food. It took us a whole hour before we got our food. The cinnamon rolls was put in the microwave and they were hard the icing was melted and the cinnamon rolls were dark brown. We ordered 3 meals and we ordered silverware and they had only 1 in the bag one hot sauce one ketchup for 3 meals. We ordered 2 peach cobbler and the containers wasn't full. The food was salty. Customer service was lousy. The baked potatoes was microwaved and you can tell it was. Your Breakfast is great and this was the very 1st time I ordered dinner online and will never do that again.
Service absolutely sucks, tickets are upcharged without your knowledge, can't get a refill of anything because there is no staff to be found. Food was mediocre, not hot, not what was ordered and couldn't find a waiter to correct it, took 45 minutes to get our check, we were there for almost 3 hours strung to place an order, get our food and check
I came to Cracker Barrel this past Friday around 11:00 AM with my son after his 9:00 AM doctor’s appointment. We hadn’t eaten yet, so brunch sounded perfect, and I was surprised that we only had to wait 25 minutes for a table. That’s about the only positive part of the visit. From the start, the restaurant looked dirty. Our original waitress was kind and clearly doing her best, but extremely overworked. After waiting 25 minutes just for someone to take our order (after drinks), another staff member had to step in. It still took nearly an hour to get our food, and when it finally arrived, everything was cold.🤢 The coffee tasted like it had been made in a dirty pot, and the food was disappointing all around. My eggs were cold, the bacon was soggy, and the hashbrown casserole, which used to be my favorite, was cold and bland. I was truly shocked at how far the quality has fallen. Let me be clear: this isn’t about the waitress. She was managing what looked like 15 tables by herself, rushing as fast as she could. I actually felt bad for her. She was working hard, carrying heavy dishes to wash, trying to clear tables, and doing it all alone. Where was management? I didn’t see a single manager on the floor. The whole restaurant felt understaffed and chaotic. Cracker Barrel used to be one of my favorite places, but sadly, I won’t be back. The experience was gross, exhausting, and not worth the wait. Cracker Barrel corporate and local management should be ashamed for putting their staff…and customers…through this.
Waitress took an hour to serve our food my chicken fried chicken no white gravy my mashed potatoes soaked with brawn gravy and was to salty to eat she for got my sides could not get some one to get a manager also under my table were food they never cleaned before setting us down never ever again will I go to that location
The wait was 1hr long and to get our drinks took them 30min and for the food to come out it took another 1hr30min. The waitress never brought us silverware or napkins all she did was stand around and ignore us. She also didn’t bring out our biscuits and gravy. Horrible service, the manager also avoided speaking to us after waiting 30min to talk to them we decided to leave . By the looks of it we were not the only one’s that had the same experience.
We were seated immediately however it took another 20 min to get a drink order., which at that time we placed our order. It took another hour for our food to come out, it was cold and my husband waited a few minutes then had to go to the front to get us silverware. We saw our waitress 3 times in the 1 1/2 hour we were there. We saw every other waitress and waiter multiple times. I don’t know where she was going or what she was doing but she was the worst we have ever had. 2 tables next to us just walked out.
Manager on duty on Wednesday 5/8/24 at 12pm was not friendly at all. My daughter was super hungry and there was a wait time to be seated. We asked for a biscuit just to calm her hunger for the time we had to wait. Manager said no. Instead gave her some STALE old crackers. Not cool at all. We left instead. This was not customer service. This was not country friendly!
Amazing service from our amazing waitress, but my food was WAYYY over done, my husband's food was ice cold, and the bread was hard. I asked for the manager 4 time and he refused to come to the table. Do not recommend eating here, I do advise my waitress joy to get a raise she was amazing.
We came for a dinner with my friend. Hostess seated us. We waited for about 15 while waitresses were just passing us without seeing us. I called one of them to get attention and Clarissa approached. She was completely disrespectful and had no idea how to treat guest by telling us that she saw us but it's not her section completely showing her attitude. Well we refused to talk to the manager about issue and any appetite for steak we had vanished so we left absolutely insulted. Never were treated like this before I guess cos establishment doesn't care much about reviews they have enough to bring people in. I personally not coming to this place for dining. Maybe for some gifts
Extremely slow service. Waited 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table. This was the worst Cracker Barrel that I have personally seen. Horrible service. Believe the reviews (unlike me) and go to another CB or another restaurant.
went to eat here earlier today. server came over pretty fast to get our drink order but never came back with our two drinks. comes back over about 15-20 minutes without our drinks and asks if we’re ready to order. i say well we would like our drinks first and he said “i was getting to that but would you like to order” i say no we would really like our drinks first and he just walks away. we sit for a few more minutes and notice the two tables that came in behind us have not only their drinks but bread as well. we leave and i call to speak to a manager, was transferred and waited on hold for seven minutes before finally giving up. tried calling again and no one answers this time. definitely do not recommend this place.
I don't usually give poor reviews, but this really wasn't great. They said 20 minute wait for 2 of us, turned into 40. I asked the server a question about the menu concerning my food allergies, she said she'd get the manager to help. About 10 minutes later the server came back and said 'sorry, the manager is too busy.' So we ordered and hoped for the best. My scrambled eggs came out somehow overcooked and raw/undercooked at the same time!! The bacon seemed deep fried, and my biscuits and gravy never came. I had to ask for them 3 times and finally took them to go when she brought our check. Our drinks were never refilled, we weren't checked on at all after our food arrived actually. Super bummed as Cracker Barrel used to give me the warm fuzzies to shop and eat here, maybe it still can, but not at this location.
We visited Cracker Barrel on a Sunday morning as a family, excited to try it together for the first time. We arrived at 10:20 AM, were seated by 10:50, and left at 12:00—without ever receiving our food. Tables around us who arrived later were served before us. After 40 minutes, my husband asked to speak to a manager, but no one ever came to our table. We were told the manager was “working on our meal,” which only started being rushed after we complained. During the wait, I ran out of coffee, my son’s drink sat empty, and our server barely checked in. My three-year-old kept asking for her food. The only person we spoke to directly was Jeremy at the front—as we were leaving. I understand Sundays are busy, but this level of service is unacceptable. We were truly disappointed that our kids didn’t get to experience the food or the atmosphere we’d heard about. This was supposed to be a special outing—and instead, it was a frustrating one.
I usually enjoy Cracker Barrel, but the DeSoto location was a huge disappointment. The restaurant was dirty — food wrappers and crumbs were scattered across the floor, chairs, and tables. Our section kept filling up, but only one overwhelmed server was handling at least seven tables. We never got drink refills and had to wave her down just to get our bill. Our food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and it wasn’t worth the wait. My toddler’s burger was dry with a weird, spongy texture. My chicken fingers were also dry, and my husband’s meal wasn’t any better — everything lacked flavor and freshness. The staff seemed completely unmotivated and inattentive. Between the poor service and bad food, we won’t be returning. I’ll gladly drive farther to a better location. Very disappointed.
This was the worst cracker barrel I have ever been too. We went in to the restaurant. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come seat us. It took another 10 minutes for a waitress to take our order. It 15 minutes for us to get our drinks and 45 minutes to get our food. They didn't bring everything and my food was cold. I ordered a salad I never got it,so I told them to forget it..This cracker barrel is horrible. I highly don't recommend. I will never ever go back.
I was very disappointed in the service with receptionist and the manager. I went twice in the same day to try to eat at the restaurant. Each time they told me the wait would be 40-50 minutes. Never did call me back to tell me table was ready when it was more then half the restaurant was empty. Reception is very unprofessional laughing at other customers on how long the wait would be. Manager is very unprofessional. He told us that there was only 3 servers for the whole day. I wish there was a way I could be paid back for the time that was wasted and gas going to the restaurant.
Didn’t even get our food! Me and my mom waited a whole hour before getting any food or appetizers and at this point it was already 2:00PM so we just decided to leave. Bathrooms are so so dirty, waiter tells us an hour in that they haven’t even started making our meals and all we ordered was just breakfast! Of course we left hangry and decided to just go get fast food. Very unlike Cracker Barrel considering we come to Cracker Barrel a lot, this was just our first time at this location. Never coming back!
The host told us it would be an hour wait for a table for 2. He seemed spaced out on something. Never made any type of eye contact. Only looked at you through his braids hanging over his face. We kept checking in with him to see if our name was called. It was two hours before we got seated. Upon entering the dining area, we saw many empty tables available. I asked to speak to a manager, but a manager never came. There was no reason why the wait should have been that long if there were plenty of tables available. We asked our waitress about the wait and she mentioned they have a bunch of kids working there that don't know what they're doing. Upon leaving, the host was still telling people that the wait would be an hour. Why? The dining area was practically empty.
Cracker barrel in DeSoto should be shut down. I've went to many others, and that one was by far the worst dine in experience I've ever had. Took over an hour to seat us on a Saturday, even with a fairly empty dining room. They were out of several items we ordered,. Order was not even right. And half the workers were constantly going out front to talk on phone or smoke.
Service, attention and food was very disappointing. They took over an hour to serve us the food and when they finally brought it, the dish was incomplete and cold. They took another hour just to give us the biscuits and the gravy that comes with the grandpa's country fried breakfast. We never got a refill even though we only had water and coffee. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but now, I'm really disappointed.
I ordered online for curbside. I got chicken pot pie. YALL... NO... MARIE CALANDERS FROM THE STORE IS WAAAU BETTER THAN THIS!!! I'm so sad! This is all dry crust, dry dry chicken and where is the gravy!!! It's not a pot pie if it's not full of the gravy!! I did not get my breads either. Bought a quick to go chicken with Mac n cheese, you gotta heat it up, so I can't rate it.. barely any Mac n cheese, but it looks ok.. for $5. But I'm otp to get my money back for the pot pie!
I went here for my birthday and the hostess sat me and my husband didn't and we waited for 20 minutes and still no one came to the table and asked what we would like to drink and if we were ready to order. Where we was sitting at we could see the waitstaff in the back along with the hostess just talking and laughing. A few waitress had came out and helped the guest that were already sitted. There was a young black male that came over after I asked him if he could wait on us and he kindly replied I would love to but I just clocked out but I will let your waitress know. He went back to where the ladies were all talking and told our waitress and she said I'll be with them in a minute we continue to wait then we finally got up and left after she never came. I left and called back to the restaurant asking to speak with the manager. I spoke with Shayla who kindly transferred me to the manager by thr name of Cameron and I told him what was happened. I love Cracker Barrel but this by far is the worst experience I have ever received at any of the restaurant 😫. I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I will drive to a whole another city to find one. I'm from North Carolina and travel from up North to down here. So Sad the experience i had on my birthday 💔😞😫😭😭😭😭😭😭
Took us over an hour to get our food brought out, meanwhile other tables that got there after us got their food before us. The table next to us noticed as well and she spoke to the manager for us and the manager seemed to have brushed it off because we waited 30 more minutes, we were fed up of waiting we got seated at 10:45 am it was now around 12:30 no food in sight, finally we got fed up after waiting and decided we were only going to pay for the drinks, waitress assured us our food was coming out so we sat back down. The first stack of pancakes looked very disappointing almost two hours waiting for a pancake that looked like someone took a bite out of.
I paid $17 for this very poorly portioned thanksgiving meal? And it was cold, not warm, but COLD. I understand it’s thanksgiving and they are very busy, but a lot of individuals are spending thanksgiving alone and the only thing they have to look forward to is a thanksgiving meal from Cracker Barrel! I tried ordering online, but kept having issues after issue! I finally went to the store to try and place an in person order, but the lady that was working the register was not only rude, but not helpful in anyway! She gave me a flier with a QR code and said to scan it, which I did and it took me to the exact same site I was on! I showed her the error message that I had received several times prior to driving to the store. She tried blaming it on their internet connection and that they were so busy. I wasn’t sure what that had to do with me receiving the same error while ordering from home. She stopped trying help and just had me and another lady just standing there. Finally, another man came up and helped me! He was great! He walked me thru the entire process and stayed beside me and continued to help until my order finally went thru. Pick up time was an hour later, I sat out there for about 10 minutes before any ever noticed I was out there. When I get my food it’s very small portions and cold! And look at those so called yams! The description said it came with toppings, but the only thing mine came with was watery yam juices surrounding it. This was not only a waist of my money, but a waist of my time! I could have gone somewhere else!
My husband and I visited Cracker Barrel around 7:50 p.m. The restaurant wasn’t very busy when we arrived, but unfortunately, our experience with the service wasn’t the best. Our waitress was not very friendly or engaging—just kind of nonchalant. I ordered the pot roast, and my husband ordered the Grandma’s special breakfast . We ended up waiting almost 47 minutes for our food, and during that time, we noticed another couple who arrived after us was served first. By the time our meals finally came out, it was almost 9 p.m. The food itself tasted great, but it wasn’t as hot as you would expect after such a long wait. We were told that there was only one cook working, or that the cook was new. This is actually the same explanation we’ve been given on other visits, so it feels like an ongoing issue. We really wanted to give Cracker Barrel the benefit of the doubt, but the service experience has been disappointing more than once now. The food is good, but the service really needs improvement. Please do better, Cracker Barrel—we’d love to have the kind of experience that matches the quality of the food.
Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!! Beware! Staff- beyond rude, slow Food- was cold and order was distributed at different times Wait Time- from order to delivery over a hour Wrong food sat down in front of us then picked up and delivered to another table and sat in front of that person and then delivered back to us, there was no refills Manager Mike, who stated he was a manager was rude and acted like a child -Very Petty! Tables around us stayed so dirty The atmosphere was not pleasant at all. Just be aware and prepared …
Service was super slow. My whole party had their food expect me. They were done eating and I'm just now getting my entree, mind you you brought out my side almost 10 mins before. Tell me that it's 3 mins on my entree and it takes over 8, but you already brought out my receipt for the meal. Best believe I won't be returning. Food locked good though
We sat in this place for over 2 hrs waiting on our food. We never got our food. The first time I got the manager Ulysses and told him we had been waiting over an hour. He said the kitchen was backed up. I told him everyone thst came behind us had been served yet we're still sitting here. He said 10 minutes and our food would be out. 10 minutes turned into a whole additional hour while people around us were served. It took the grace of God for me not to turn over every table in the restaurant. I had my elderly parents with me who had taken their medication and needed to eat. This was senseless and unexcusable. it It was the grace of
I usually like Cracker Barrel. This one was really disappointing. The service was really, really slow and the food was overdone and dry. When it finally came, I had to ask for the bread. I also had to wait a long time and ask for my drink to be refilled. The only good part was the apples. I usually look forward to the biscuits, but they were dry and crunchy instead of soft and fluffy. The store is still fun, but the dining experience was not.
We had a bad experience. Sounds awful but this is our history. The food was good and the front staff were friendly, but the overall experience was disappointing. When our drinks arrived, we weren’t given silverware and had to ask for it. The first set we received was very dirty, and the second set wasn’t clean either. And the end we ask for plastic silverware. My drink was also served in a cracked glass, which felt unsafe, and I even had to ask for a straw instead of being offered one. On top of that, the bathroom smelled so bad I decided to hold it instead of using it — which really shouldn’t happen in a family restaurant. The kitchen did well with the food, but the service, cleanliness, and overall upkeep need serious improvement.
My recent visit to this Cracker Barrel was disappointing from start to finish. I ordered the steak and eggs breakfast, and my guest did the same. Unfortunately, the food didn't deliver. My eggs were runny, even though I ordered them scrambled hard—so much so that I needed a spoon to eat them. The meal was poorly prepared and lacked any real attention to detail. On top of that, we ordered a Peach Mimosa pitcher, which was overpriced at $19.99 and didn’t live up to expectations. I truly regret not ordering by the glass. It wasn’t worth it in taste or presentation. The environment was unclean, two flies repeatedly bothered us throughout the meal, making it hard to focus on the food. The floors were dirty, and the overall space felt poorly maintained. The men’s restroom was unacceptable to the point where I chose not to use it. It resembled a portable toilet more than a functioning restaurant facility. When I voiced my concerns about the Mimosa to Steven, the general manager, I was met with a corporate-style response, not one that prioritized customer experience or resolution. There was no real attempt to make things right or even empathize. As for service, our server Victoria started off slow and without much energy, but she gradually improved. By the end, she was reasonably efficient. I'd give her a 6 out of 10. Sadly, this visit confirmed why this location holds a 3.7 rating, and I’m surprised it’s even that high. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend it to others.
Waitress was very rude We waited hour and 30 minutes for our cinnamon rolls. Food was not prepared correctly The lady with the big shoes and curly hair was very rude. The ball man was not doing anything but standing there he was managing he bought two tables and we’ve been here for almost 2 hours. tables were very dirty. We had to rinse our silverware. I am not pleased with this service and I will not be coming back our food was very undercooked. Our bacon was raw and they plum with the blueberries on the pancakes in the hashbrowns were undercooked
I will not return to this establishment!! I got there at 730 this morning! The waitress was not fluent enough to speak English. I had to repeat myself multiple times. I ordered pancakes with sides of hash browns and grits. After working 12 hours all night! I couldn’t find the energy to even request a makeover! Or talk to the manager! Because the cook should have known better and the waitress should have seen the quality and appearance wasn’t worthy to present to a customer! I walked out! The grits were undone! I asked for BLUEBERRY PANCAKES……. Idk wtf they cooked! Never again!
Extremely disappointed with this Cracker Barrel! We got on the list thru the app and our wait was consistent with the time we were told. This was especially nice for a Sunday morning. We were seated at 11:05 am and at 11:22 I went to request a manager since we had not had a waiter or waitress stop by the table yet. When I got back to the table the waitress, Lasia T., was at the table finally. The manager came over about that same time and I expressed our dissatisfaction about the delay with service. While the manger said he was going to take care of the issue I got the feeling that this was normal operations at this location and that nothing was really going to happen or change. We placed our order for 2 Old Timers Breakfast, one with over easy eggs and one with scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs had uncooked egg white, bottom right portion of the picture. The over easy eggs had lots of liquid on the plate as well. I didn't eat any of my eggs and my wife only ate part of the over easy. The biscuits and gravy that are included with the breakfast did not come out and we had to ask for them. The server acted like that was extra but brought them out to us. While I do not expect nor want something to be comped when I speak to a manager I thought at a bare minimum the manager would come check on us after our food came out to make sure we were taken care of, but that did not happen either. I expected the waitress (3 Stars on her apron) would have offered an apology when she brought the bill but only said "Happy New Years". The payment process asks for a 0-10 on the taste of the food and I gave it a 1, my wife said I was too generous and it deserved a 0! I normally give any restaurant more than one opportunity because we all have bad days! It is clear from other recent reviews and the lack of management caring that this Cracker Barrel needs a lot of help and will not get another visit from me!

What people say about Cracker Barrel
Cracker Barrel DeSoto: A Southern Comfort Stop with Familiar Flavors
There’s a certain charm to a place that feels like stepping into a different era, and DeSoto’s Cracker Barrel Old Country Store certainly delivers on that front. Nestled in our community, it’s a spot many turn to when the craving for classic American comfort food hits. It’s a chain, sure, but the experience here often feels distinctly local, drawing families and friends looking for a laid-back meal. The first thing you’ll notice, and what many folks rave about, is the atmosphere. DeSoto's Cracker Barrel: Classic Comfort, Country Charm, and a Side of Patience
You know, there’s just something about Cracker Barrel, isn’t there? Our local spot here in DeSoto still holds that familiar, authentic charm we’ve all grown up with. Step inside, and it’s like a warm hug from yesteryear – the decor hasn’t changed a bit, and honestly, that’s part of its enduring appeal. Before you even sit down, you can lose yourself in the country store, maybe pick up some old-time candy, or just unwind on the front porch for a spell. It’s definitely a fun detour before or af
