I love this place! Their **Mac & Cheese, ribs, and burgers** are amazing. The **staff is super nice**, and they even offer a **free ice cream for dessert**, which is such a great touch. The **decor has improved a lot** since the last time I came in 2018 — it feels more elegant now, with a **bigger menu and great music** to set the mood. The **student deal is also really good**, which makes it even better. It’s also a **great spot for a Thursday night out**, perfect to break the week’s routine. Definitely a place worth coming back to!
Definitely Must go!!! Went there yesterday and place very busy. Got the table very fast. Food was amazing!!! We got 5 meat combo + extra brisket. The boys know how to make BBQ!!!
One of our favorite burger and ribs places in town. The restaurant always has tables available ag least for two people. The burgers are great, juicy, seasoned and served with sides. The angus beef ribs are well cooked and well seasoned and always come with two sides. The staffs are nice. Service can be improved generally.
One of the best places I’ve ever ate. Prices are amazing, staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Food came very fast and was absolutely delicious.
Finally Tried It—and It Did Not Disappoint! We've been eyeing this spot for a while and finally had a chance to try it. Seriously, it blew us away! We got both the brisket and the ribs, and they were incredibly tender and flavorful. The marination on each dish was absolutely perfect. To top it off, they offer complimentary, on-the-house ice cream—a great finishing touch! Highly recommend this place, but make sure you come hungry
Best BBQ place I met outside Texas! Took the brisket, amazing!!! Barely could finish because the portion was big (and I rode the bikes here 3km) Mac & cheese - perfectly made but with the bacon jam… WOW Coleslaw - one of the best I had and very creamy Serve you soft ice cream for free to end up in case you still have space in your tummy…
We’ve been to Pitt Bros a few times now, and have never failed to thoroughly enjoy our experience. Whether going for the beef, pork or chicken, the meat is always juicy, flavourful and tender. The piggy loaded fries are, without a doubt, the best loaded fries I’ve ever had. The staff have always been polite, friendly and attentive. As a small, intimate venue, it doesn’t take much for it to feel busy, there’s always a good playlist on and everyone is generally enjoying themselves with good food, beer and banter.
Awesome taste of the pork ribs, an entire rack! Brisket very delicate, but still on the cathegory "well-done". Smoky flavor was delicate, not overwhelming, the meat is not soaked in sauces. Good job!
Went here because my college promoted a 10% off student discount on the lunch meals. I haven't explored many places to eat in Dublin (as an aforementioned broke college student,) but this made a great impression on me! A cozy and warm dining experience with kind and receptive staff, amazing food (best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had) and good bang for your buck. €9 for a filling sandwich and a generously portioned 99? Yes, thank you very much. I did get the 10% off but ended up tipping enough to cancel it out because the experience put me in such a good mood. Would recommend!!
We were craving good food, so we headed to Pitt Bros. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired perfectly with the chips, which were cooked just right. The sauce on both was delicious. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The brisket was incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and the sauce was another highlight. The atmosphere was great—heavy bass music set the tone, and the location made for some solid people-watching. Service was friendly and efficient, rounding out a great experience.
I had an amazing experience at Pitt Bros BBQ both time I’ve been there. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Steak Frites the first time and Pitt Bros bacon and cheese in my second time there, I really recommend it. The restaurant atmosphere is great to bring family and friends. Camila the waitress that looked after my table did a brilliant service, she comes to me with a great smile and very good energy.
This place is amazing, 100% recommended. We went twice, at the end of February and again in March. The food is extremely delicious and the portions are plentiful. The first time we went we had the ribs, this option is the best of the menu. The side dishes of potatoes and mac and cheese were incredible, it was a good combination. The second time we went there were no ribs and we ordered the sausages and pulled pork, they were also very well done. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service very good. Not expensive in comparison to the quantity and quality of the food
Shared the 3 meat combo with a friend here. Perfectly cooked and seasoned with a sweet BBQ sauce. Service was amazing as well. They give complementary ice cream 🍦 as well..
In a city short with good BBQ options Pitt Bros has been smashing it for years , always lifting the bar with new techniques and specials , the highest quality meats. I popped in recently to try out the fried chicken special and it was unbelievably good. Loads of chicken , perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned , a feast for less than 20 quid .
We ordered the 5 meat platter and able to feed family or 4 nicely. Was after we ate that we were told there's surcharge for beef ribs. The meat was tender, great sides, very soft brisket. Place is packed, better make reservation. Small place so it's a bit cramped.
Scrumptious, flavourful, awesome serving size and just lovely. A haven for Bbq lovers. The rib and brisket hits the spot
Great place for people that like meat, we ordered the 3 meat combo and it was simply DELICIOUS! The meat was kind of melting in our mouth, we were eating it slow not to finish fast. The service was great, we didn’t wait a long time to get our orders and it was really affordable. We going back there to celebrate my husband’s birthday because he really loved the place and the food.
A nice looking place with really nice strong tasting foods! All burgers we tried have a strong smoked flavour to them! The garlic fries are fiery and strong too! And the bone marrow mash is very rich! We do like it here. Service is informal but staff are friendly almost every time. We enjoy coming here
The price to quality ratio automatically gives this BBQ joint a 5 star review. There's other BBQ places very nearby here but I would say this is the best. As you can see from the photos, you actually get very generous portions, which I love. Most importantly it's all delicious, simple as. The smoked sausage is awesome, the pulled pork was excellent and the ribs had tonnes of flavor. I went for the Slaw and Mac and Cheese as sides and both were fantastic. Believe it or not, you can even have free soft serve ice cream afterwards which was super tasty, creamy and perfect after a BBQ. The true test of any good place is the staff. Delighted to report they were all super friendly, attentive, helpful and pleasant. Such a breath of fresh air after going to "Elephant and Castle" which is nearby and atrocious on all accounts. Go here, you won't regret it. Great place and value for money.
Always having a good time. The steaks and chips are perfect, the staff is very attentive and enthusiastic, also the music is perfect always. My fav place to eat meat is in Dublin. And you can get a free ice cream 🎉
Came across this gem as a bit of a last minute thing, but wow! The Pitmaster burger is to die for and the brisket amazing. Staff were very pleasant and the whole experience was a gastronomic delight. Cannot fault this place. The spend per person included wine 🍷
Hidden gem in the heart of Dublin, beef rib literally melts in your mouth, our server Joao was excellent and really made us feel at home. Great food and service definitely going back.
Iv been here twice with my Partner. Delicious food, as soon as you open the door you can smell the beautiful scent of smoked meat, In my honest opinion, it is slightly over priced for the amount you get. I spent over €70 and I was a little disappointed by the portion size. (And we are not big people with huge appotites) The food is 10/10. Servers are very polite, kind and welcoming. And the atmosphere is nice.
Update to my post below. We had come in but some of the menu items were not available. Came in today. Food was awesome! Smokey flavour. So much flavour. Fall off the bone ribs. Sides are top class as well. We had ribs. Sausage. Mac n cheese. Creamed spinach. Onions rings. Fries. Staff awesome and friendly as per first visit. Such a great team and food. Initial review: Pre booked for 2nd Jan at 12:30. Staff were really friendly. Informed us as we walked in that some menu items were not available till after 2:30pm. Proceeded to rattle off most of the menu items that were really the reason why we went to Pitt Bros. A few of the tables already seated started laughing. Had a chat with someone already seated and they said it was annoying not to have the main items available to order and they were looking to go eat somewhere else. I asked the staff if the after 2:30pm thing was usual as we’d like to try again on another date and wanted to maybe book after 2:30pm but they said it was first day back after the break and it was just a slow start. No harm. We headed off but there were some annoyed customers.
This is the second time I’ve come here to eat. The food was very good, the prices are fair, but the service and friendliness of the staff were excellent especially ”Juliano” He has taken care of us both times, always giving great recommendations and explaining the menu, which we weren’t familiar with. Excellent experience, I highly recommend it!
Mostly hits than misses, Mac and cheese needs to be fixed asap. Worth the visit? Yes 100% but this place could be a must if they fix some dishes. Get the free ice-cream, it will put a smile on your face.
Loved the ribs and brisket, they were cooked to perfection and very tasty. The chicken and sausage were tasteless tho. They gave us complimentary ice cream which was really nice of them
The ribs were very good it was just a pitt they dis not fall off the bone. The pull pork by itself was a bit dry, maybe in a bun it could be better. Fast and friendly service
Lovely burger the Pitt bros bacon seduction, extremely juicy and tasty with a very good contrast between the sweetness of the caramelised onion relish and the saltiness of the bacon jam, I found it delicious. The Mac & cheese also is one of my favorites in the city. The only downside I found it’s that I think the portion of the chicken wings is a bit small, the flavor is very nice though
I was reluctant to try BBQ in another country and I was sadly mistaken thinking that only Texas can cook BBQ the right way. I have tried BBQ all over the USA and have been disappointed with not finding a place that resembles Texas BBQ. This place in Dublin, Ireland is as close to getting Texas BBQ as you can get it. I got the pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese and what a surprise. The pork was cooked so good with the right amount of smoke that I almost thought I was back home. The sandwich had pickles, coleslaw and BBQ sauce. The Mac and cheese was so good that I wanted more. I finished the meal with an ice cream cone they gave me and I wish I had more time to go back but I have other places I want to try while I am here in Dublin.
Food was great, staff were friendly, but the music was too loud and it was too crowded.
The hamburger was so nice. I ate BBQ pulled pork and beef patties one that was slightly sweet, very smoky and satisfying to my appetite for American food✨ Mac&cheese was a bit bland, so I highly recommend to add bacon to that. I’ll come again. →I highly recommend brisket although it was a bit expensive but so tender and flavoured. Don’t forget to add cream spinach.
We booked through "OpenTable"- for 4.30 pm. on a cool January Friday afternoon. When we arrived, we found we neither have bothered to book, as the guy at the entrance did not seem to check our booking. (Probably no need to book at that time of day). We were welcomed warmly, and we had a great choice of tables to choose from. There were only 3 other couples there at that time. The service was faultless and had the food within 10 minutes. I had the smoked beef Ribs, and my missus had smoked brisket, plus onion rings Slaw and fries 🍟. Perfect food. I would suggest when ordering your food to request how you like your Ribs. I over indulged, and I could not finish my Ribs and felt a little sick. Too much fat. It's my fault. A member of staff did say, "Ask how you would like your Ribs," I know to ask, for less fat. Though if you try for the first time, that's a tough one to think about.
Food was very nice, the sausage was average, the brisket was slightly odd in terms of the sauce, the pulled pork, Mac n cheese and onion rings were really nice. The burger and fries were really good. Toilet was clean. Music was good. Service was great. Wasn’t offered dessert.
Went to this place as a friend recommended it. It’s probably been the best BBQ I’ve had in Europe so far. We ordered the 3 meat combo plate. Brisket, pulled pork and pork ribs. (Jerk seasoning) The he ribs were cooked perfect where you pull the rib and it separates from the meat. The caramelized BBQ sauce was good with a bit of burnt sides. The BBQ sauce was a bit sweet for me and could use a bit of heat. (Spicy). The pulled pork was wet almost as if it was cooked in a crock pot, but could just be that it was sitting in some juices till served. Overall it was tender but needed a bit more BBQ sauce as this meat typically absorbs any sauce you add to it. I think it could use more smoked flavor and BBQ flavor vs being wet. The brisket, the item I was what I really looked forward to, I paid for a bun so I could make a sandwich with it. Overall it was good, I just wish it was cut across the grain so that it would be easier to eat. It also required more BBQ sauce. The serving size was very large, definitely enough for my wife and I. The servings were un-prepared more of pulling it and serving it vs cutting and preparing. We also ordered a kids burger and fries, adding lettuce tomatoes and cheese. (My daughter eats everything) The burger looked great. The only thing it was missing was some sauce (mayo would have been great). Daughter ate most of it, I finished it adding some more BBQ sauce otherwise it was too dry. The side Slaw was good. I used it Chicago style when I made a sandwich. (Putting into the sandwich) and the small salad we didn’t finish. It looked great but was too full and I needed more sauce. I think the food overall was good. With maybe a few sauce options and cutting the brisket and figuring out why the pulled pork was so wet it would be amazing.
The restaurant has a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. The three-meat platter is more than enough for two people — it’s very filling. The service was okay, nothing special. The meats we ordered were tasty, but unfortunately, they arrived almost cold. Within a few minutes, they were completely cold, which really took away from the experience. I understand the meats are pre-cooked, but the temperature was disappointing. It could be much better with a little more attention to this detail
Ordered yesterday Flat Iron Steak Chips. Turned out the star of the show were the chips. And a few pieces of steak on top. Had I known that I probably would have ordered something else.. I’m sorry to say but there are other restaurants around and you get less of a side and more of a main for the same price.
Food was nice but a little cold. The ice cream offered was delicious. Service was a bit slow. Food looked nice Instagram! It was still very nice but a bit pricey for what it was.
Service was the highlight. Food was a bit disappointing. We were a group of four, unsure of what to order. The friendly Brazilian waiter helped us a lot. First to find us a table and then to order food for the group. We ended up going with the 5 meat combo. Food itself was okay. I can’t recall the exact names, but the one with a big bone was delicious. Sauce was excellent as well. Ribs weren’t that good, quite dry and not very tasty. Also the beef’s were okay. I was expecting the meat to be more juicy. Mac and cheese was very good, specially the one with bacon on top. Corn was also great. The sides in general were as expected.
The food was okay. Ordered the 3 meat plate. The beef rib was good, the chimichuri had great taste but need to have more oil in the mix otherwise it was more of a rub. The smoked sausage was not my favorite. It was more of a breakfast sausage. The third meat was the brisket. The sauce should be served on the side. The sauce was like a sweet Memphis style. The brisket was “okay” not great, just okay. If I would have to guess, it was made in a pressure cooker with some liquid smoke then covered in sauce to cover its flaws. The Mac and cheese were okay. A little bland. But mixing the brisket with the Mac and cheese taste great. It was a okay experience.
Service was quite slow even though the place was empty. Ribs tasted nice but the pulled pork was very tough. The place was also really cold so the food also became cold quickly! Free ice cream was a nice touch, so mixed feelings about the place.
Terrible portion sizes. Ordered Mac and Cheese and got less than a tea cup. I've attached a picture with a 2 euro coin for scale. Then their 2 for 1 offer is just a normal sized portion. Had to throw wings in the air fryer too as it was cold. Tasted fine but not worth the price. They've definitely artificially inflated their reviews.
Had a booking for 2 , not many people in restaurant so no need for a booking as they were seating walk ins. Staff member was ok more interested in waiting a larger crowd. One person at our table of 2 was served they food 1st a good 4/5 mins before the next was served. Should bring food together especially as its only 2 people . 1 orderes loaded fries and chicken wings I ordered the Ranch burger and plain fries Food was awful ranch sauce only tasted of raw garlic. No Chipotle mayo on burger, Burger buns not fresh bottom bun was like a brick. Couple who came in after us was put on the table beside us and she took off her shoes and her feet was up on the chair. Vile . Had to turn my back to her like the whole seat needed to be moved so not to see her feet .
Pitt Bros BBQ has long been a favorite of mine, and I’ve made countless trips to Dublin just for a taste of their smoky, hearty offerings. However, my recent visit left me feeling disappointed, and I’m no longer as enthusiastic about returning. Firstly, I was taken aback by yet another price increase. It’s become increasingly difficult to ignore, especially considering the quality and portion sizes seem to be gradually diminishing. The once generous sauce portions have become a skid mark in the ramekins, a seemingly small but noticeable change that impacts the overall experience. The meat was wet, it’s usually dry and laced with sauce.
Very disappointed with Pitt Bros. I'm a fan of the rubs and sauces and have been following John for a while now. Finally got to visit to taste the goods. Ribs were very dry and tough, and as you can see from the bones, not cooked enough. Tasted like dirty smoke too. For around 30 quid a rack, I expected better. Had BBQ chicken wings too, which weren't bbq'd. The spent a few mins in a fryer before tossed in bbq sauce. Surely a bbq restaurant should cook its bbq wings on a bbq? I dont mind paying alot of food if it blows me away and is memorable. something I can't do myself at home. In the words of my wife "my ribs are way better than this".
It was my first time to try out. My son and I were both excited as we pass this place on many occasions but never went in. I did see only recently a advertisement for all their different versions of meat and visually lookd good so decided to try. My expectations was high as the place always looked busy. On arrival (walk-in) we had to wait at the door where there was a sign saying "please wait here to be seated" so we did. The place was busy but many people fixing up their bills and tables being cleaned and food being served, all good. So we waited and waited. It was not until the person in the waiting area behind me asked, "Have I been seen" and I had to make him aware, no, and at that point it was more then ten minutes or so. So eventually a member of staff came up to us and were shown to a table and given a menu. It was again some time before a member of staff came to take our order and again very long wait on food to be brought to the table. On ordering the food we asked for Chickin wings for starters and we both had ordered two versions of the burgers. I had pulled pork and my son had bacon cheese burger with fries as being our first time there to try. Eventually, when we did get our food it all came out at the same time, main and starters, which I was surprised as I did ask for starters and then was confused as maybe they don't do that being the place it is? The chicken wings were good and plenty of meat on them and very tasty. Unfortunately, we found the burgers not hot in temperature and somewhat cool and and the portions of chips in a small cup were dismissal and cold. Not once at any point were we asked was the food okay or did we need anything else. I had to leave my seat and go to the counter to ask for more napkins as two was not enough when eating wings. On finishing our food I also decide to use the bathroom and also found in the one that I decided to use no toilet paper. So, I also informed one staff member at the counter. On getting my bill I decided to pay by card and was immediately informed when looking at the screen I could leave a tip as to the information displayed and yet no questions as to was I happy with the food or everything okay. I did leave a tip but found it unnecessary to have that pointed out and yet not even asked was the food okay or etc.. I also after leaving it was also brought to my attention that I wasn't even asked if I would like the complementary ice cream which would of been nice after handing over 80 euro. So, will I be back, 50/50 I usually would give a place a second chance but if the food comes out cold and staff are too busy to check in (but not when hinting at a tip) its hard to say.
I went to Pitt Bros for dinner and got the 3 meat combo. This was €40+ and expected this to be for 2 people sharing and we were not advised otherwise. We got the pulled pork, brisket and sausage. The pork was cold and chewy, the brisket was nice but covered in so much BBQ sauce you couldn’t really taste the meat, and there was one sausage included in this deal. The portions were pretty small and we left hungry. The decor and atmosphere were nice but we asked for water at the time of ordering and received it when we were nearly finished eating. We waited about 20 minutes for our table to be cleared and get the bill. It was pretty disappointing for our trip to Dublin and not worth the money or the hype. Good location and the free whippy ice cream at the end was a consolation. Would recommend getting the larger combo however this would mean spending 40-50 each for one course and a drink.
Ordered here based on the reviews and don’t really get the hype. The chicken had a weird tang to it rather than any decent flavour. Gravy is too watery. Best thing about it was the fries.
I had been looking forward to trying BBQ Pitt Bros in Dublin for some time, and on March 16th, my family and I finally got the chance. We placed a takeaway order, paid €111.40, and waited for our food. Before leaving, I double-checked with the waitress twice to confirm that everything was included in the bag. Unfortunately, when we got home, we discovered that nearly half of our order was missing. This was incredibly disappointing, especially given the anticipation and the price we paid. It’s frustrating that no one took the time to properly check the order, despite my efforts to ensure it was correct before leaving. I couldn’t leave a proper review of the food as I didn’t receive everything I ordered and genuinely didn’t expect such disappointment with my first visit to this place. A restaurant’s attention to detail is just as important as the quality of the food, and in this case, the service fell short. I hope they improve their takeaway process so others don’t have the same experience.
We ordered a combo plate: rib, brisket and smoked pulled pork. We are very disappointed with the price and quality of the meat, none of it was tender, they were cold, chewy and partly raw. The service was appropriate and the atmosphere was nice. Also one small beer costs almost 7 euros!
