Been a long time since I have been here. Seems to be under new ownership. Great menu with a wide choice. Good service too. Opted for soup of the day (potato and leek) and tuna steak for the main. Lots of space for large groups. Recommended. (PS. Don't forget to record your car registration if using their car park).

This pub was recommended by a friend, warm and welcoming owners, food was delicious, a lovely atmosphere, dog friendly we will certainly be going back soon.

Decided to go local for some Sunday roast and was told they do a good one. Booking a table was very straight forward and the place was almost food, I was welcomed to my table and had a lovely food. I will definitely coming back 😄

Seriously excellent food for good prices here. Me and the wife had a wrap and a roast of the day sandwich, incredibly tasty, and loads oof your money. Super nicely presented too. Would recommend this place if you get a chance!

Not been here for years, but the new owners have made a real effort....cocktails were nicely made from scratch and food was great. Will defo come again soon...

We had excellent experiences thanks to the new owners. We've been back twice in just a month and each time brought our two dogs along. The service is always prompt, the food is fresh and delicious. We love how the dogs are welcomed with water bowls, and they instantly relax in the pub's cozy atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a lunch after a dog walk, or a family meal later in the day. Huge thanks to the team for creating such a welcoming space with fantastic service! We'll definitely be back again soon.

This evening with my daughters we had a really lovely meal. The food was very good we all really enjoyed our meals. The service excellent. The manager and his wife very friendly and made sure everything was ok for us. Will definitely be back coming back here.

Thank goodness that this lovely pub is under new management after a few poor visits. We went in for a bite to eat and was warmly welcomed by the owner who advised that there might be a wait as he was manning the bar and cooking! There was no such wait and the food was stunning. We visited again last Sunday on the off chance. We were again really welcomed and the team accommodated us for a quick lunch. Again, delicious. Great to see this pub thriving again. We've booked for mother's day and can't wait.

Lovely pub! I visited this pub as it was a convenient halfway point for my friends and me, and we had a fantastic experience. The lunch menu offered a great variety, including all the classics and lighter options too. I ordered the gammon, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly juicy and full of flavor, which was a pleasant surprise since gammon can sometimes be dry. Everything was clearly freshly made. For dessert, we all chose the mini crumble with a hot drink, which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in the area! Also the owner was so lovely and has put so much effort into making this pub as nice as it is!

Excellent Sunday roast today, generous portions, all food very well cooked and friendly staff who were very accommodating as we had a very young baby with us. Definitely recommend a visit .

Amazing Sunday roast, proper homemade. One of the nicest roasts I’ve had in the area. Landlord and lady are very nice people, if you’re in the area… pop in, you won’t be disappointed!

We had a wonderful family lunch here today, the service was excellent and friendly. The children loved the colouring sheets that became interactive with scanning the QR code. The food was great value. Will define be back. Thank you Brandon and team.

Tuesday is a quiet night for dining. But still atmosphere. Excellent food, reasonable price. Served quickly.Good car park. For electric car fast chargers spaces. There was activity in the bar area, quiz night I think?

A wonderful friendly welcome! Nice surroundings, great tasty food, and caring enthusiastic landlords. Definitely recommend, and now a regular pub to visit.

Myself wife and Step daughter went for Sunday lunch lunch today. They had beef and I had the trio, had the Cauliflower cheese too. We can honestly say it was one of the best Sunday roasts I've had at a pub/restaurant. The meat was perfectly cooked, as was the veg. Big portions too. Absolutely delicious. Brandon, Lucy and staff have done a fantastic job here. Highly recommend to all.

Just had a lovely lunchtime meal at the White Lion. We had Vegan burgers and they were really tasty and perfectly cooked. Drinks were great and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The new owners are doing a great job! Looking forward to coming back 😊

The White Lion came to our rescue after the choir were let down at the last minute by our original Christmas meal booking, and it was a triumph! The food was absolutely delicious and the welcome was great. We were all so impressed, and wish the lovely new managers every success.

We had a fantastic early dinner at The White Lion in Dunstable today! Brandon, the owner, was super welcoming and a delightful host — really made us feel at home. Between the four of us, we tried a great range of dishes and were all very happy with everything. The pies were outstanding, the sausages and mash came with delicious homemade mash, and the scampi was excellent too. Proper pub food, done well, in a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back to sample the ales (when I’m not driving!) and try more from the menu. Honestly, the best pub food we’ve had in the Dunstable area.

absolutely lovely staff, amazing food all round: steaks were perfect, both chicken and beef burgers were amazing. me and my family came on a Saturday and we had one server the whole time for food and drinks, she had a lovely approach and a good laugh with us, sadly we wasn't given her name. The place is beautiful and slightly tucked away so there is minimal noise from the outside. overall, such a lovely place and a wonderful vibe from the staff, we will definitely be visiting again soon and I recommend this place to other people.

Delicious Sunday Roasts. Tasty, well seasoned, freshly made, good cuts of meat. 4 adults all thoroughly enjoyed their various choices. Deserve to be much busier than they are! Most enjoyable lunch- thank you. Think you’re my new go to restaurant.

Absolutely lovely staff! the food was good, came steaming hot, and was really delicious too. Drinks were fantastic, definitely a place that i would visit again with friends.

Stumbled across this one randomly on the way back from my daughters football game. Really nice outdoor space, could do with a bit of a deep clean as a lot of webs and sticky bits so the wasps were distracting, we'd have stayed longer. Food was great as were the drinks. Mac and cheese was SOO GOOD

Can't really say much about the White lion itself as I was only there to charge the car but on the good side the staff were friendly when I went in to register the car and told me it was no longer necessary which in itself is a positive. It seemed welcoming and well appointed.

Great 2 course deal. We had well presented tasty food. The staff were nice. Unfortunately, we were the only people in the whole pub on a Friday night. Also, some of the outside chairs were in need of some TLC as they were falling apart

Following a recommendation my partner and I went lunchtime today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was great (various starters, half roast chicken and slaw, sausage and mash) and, after my partner had the mini crumble and coffee for dessert he wished he'd indulged in a larger crumble in the first place! A few teething problems with sluggish service (asking for water, salt etc) and my partner's main was not that hot - but that was nothing that couldn't be rectified quickly and as far as the food temperature was concerned, he didn't mention it til he'd finished so it can't have been that bad! Staff were friendly and interested in feedback. It was not that busy so atmosphere a bit lacking, but background music pleasant and it will pick up if it keeps going like this - we will definitely be going back (and taking people) and I recommend others to give it a go.

Decent pub for a quick for stop in, which is what we did. The Guinness was really good. Lots of parking available, nice and warm inside.

The food was nice enough, except for my scampi and chips – initially, the wrong chips were served, and everything was lukewarm. The service was really slow, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. It seemed like there was one waitress per table, yet empty plates were left on the table for ages. A couple of waitresses walked past and just ignored them. Also, there were no check-backs – such an easy win for a pub or restaurant! Wouldn't go back again for dinner there based on the experience, would do a 1 course lunch as food was enough, and wouldn't be to bothered so much about service and plates laying around.

Had a Valentine Day meal with wife and daughter. I went for Prawn Cocktail, Pie and Mash and Apple Crumble while wife had humous and half chicken. Daughter had steak and sticky toffee pudding. The food was good and we didn't have any issues with them. But it's didn't look very busy for a Valentine Day night and I have to say it was half empty even though they were telling us it was fully booked. Also tables were not being cleared away as one table next to us was not cleared during the entirety of our meal. The pub looks to be a bit in disrepair with cobwebs in the dining hall and the toilet definitely needing a deep clean. For God sake put some bleach in the cistern. My wife enjoyed our evening and she recommended this restaurant on a previous visit but she said she won't come back again. Think this place needs another refurb or it will be closed again.

We arrived and the place was evidently not busy, the male waiter led us to some bar stool seats which I thought wasn't appropriate for lunch, he then sat us on another secluded seat by the bar area, the table was dirty and not set. I approached another waiter and questioned why we are being set away from the dinning area, she apologised and agreed there were several tables available and we were eventually moved. Besides the unacceptable treatment the food was okay but some small portions.

We visited at 7pm on a Saturday. Our online booking wasn't registered but it didn't matter as there were about 6 other people (another family) in the whole place. The service was absolutely fine. No complaints there at all, the food, likewise was lovely (tho they didn't bring the new potatoes out till we'd finished our main course). The atmosphere was the problem. The car park was deserted with the little NO2 canisters kicking about. The pub almost had tumbleweed blowing through it and could have done with some redecoration. As we left it left one car in the carpark. Not a bad place. But I doubt we'll return I'm afraid

Went here for a meal on New Years Day. 2 guys behind the bar were in scruffy tracksuits. Waited ages to order drinks, e even though we were the only ones in there. Nobody came and asked if we wanted more drinks, had to call them over. When the meals came up, one pasta dish looked like a starter rather than a main meal, three of our meals were hot on the outside but nearer to the middle was lukewarm. Again nobody came over to ask how the food was or if we wanted drinks. Table was cleared, we were about to order dessert when one of the guys presented us with the card machine and told us how the bill was. No question asked about dessert, No actual receipt. It wasn't even busy 3 other tables and our. Id say 26 people max. Would not recommend this restaurant at all
