My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant looks upscale, they have romantic dimmed lighting, and they put adorable little candle flowers at the table! The vegetable minestrone soup was delicious, my bf regretted not getting the bowl size! He had Gnocchi Lamb Ragu and LOVED it. I had the bolognese and thought it was good. The chocolate cake was delicious, and he liked his apple strudel. We will definitely be back!
Very nice restaurant with beautiful warm decorations inside. Perfect for a little date. Pasta was amazing- nothing like what I had before somewhere else and very tasteful. I had tomato tagliatelle pasta. I recommend it to anyone
We always love dining at Scossa, but are writing to review their event space and catering. We recently held a wedding rehearsal dinner PLUS welcome party in their lovely back room. From planning to execution, things couldn’t have gone more smoothly! Delicious menu, reasonable pricing, caring and involved staff and ownership and flexible space to accommodate almost fifty seated guests and dozens more for the meet and feet at the bar, complete with transition to heavy apps and dessert buffet. Kudos and many thanks to our friends at Scossa - highly recommended!
Kendell and the entire team was amazing! Food, atmosphere, and staff was perfect. It was the perfect place for a date night out without the little one.
Very good place to eat. A bit pricey but good sized portions. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Calamari was a little overcooked but still delicious, we got a steak and didn't care for the taste (cooked perfect, didn't care for the style of cooking on it) and they replaced it with something different without a complaint. I will absolutely go back and would recommend this place to anyone who wants to sit and enjoy a meal. FYI the pasta and lobster was perfection and the chocolate pie was to die for.
We had the rigatoni with veal Ragu and the spaghetti with veal meatballs. They were both excellent. Back again and did shared plates The pappardelle special was excellent. The ravioli was light and delicious. Service was impeccable.
Absolutely incredible service, food and experience. Everything was prepared perfectly, wine list was fun and had plenty of choices, wait staff was attentive, quick and pleasant. Really could not ask for a better experience
Their efficient service staff served all of our group at the same time with food that was all hot and ready to eat. The chocolate souffle was the hit of the meal.
This is my "go to" place when I'm in the area for work. Service is excellent and great selection of food and wine!
Great, upscale Italian dining experience! Good wine selection, awesome food. Would recommend visiting when weather is warm enough to eat outside! Love to see the Downtown Easton happenings as you dine. We love the chicken parm, fish dishes, meatballs, and desserts. If you are hard of hearing, the inside dining room may be a little noisy during the dinner rush.
Absolutely amazing experience. Our waitress, I believe Arianna, was her name, outstanding. The atmosphere 5/5, the food 5/5. Perfect date night location. Will be visiting again soon.
Quiet midweek night towards the end of the evening and everything was perfect. Service wonderful, thanks April, and the food on target. Shared simple arugula salad, asparagus risotto, gnocchi with bolognaise, and a delightful calves liver. Too full to tackle the top end deserts but Gelato was just fine. Wine list big enough and fair value though not filled with many cheaper choices. Favorite spot on the Eastern Shore.
Easton’s finest. How about impeccable service, perfect lighting, attentive staff, fabulous wine and out of this world Italian fare. Scossa is one of the best places in town. We love everything about Scossa from being able to sit at the bar with friends to being able to celebrate a special event. There are few places where service and an absolute attention to detail is this well done.
Amazing food and service! My daughter and I were looking for a delicious place to stop on our way home from Salisbury and stumbled upon this nice restaurant. We were underdressed but were treated with the utmost respect. Phenomenal specials at a fair price.
Great place for a quick bite or more leisurely dinner. Food was very good, service excellent and location convenient. Highly recommended.
So far on our visits to the area Scossa remains our favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is the nicest with a quiet ambience inside. Oscar was a great attentive waiter. We thoroughly enjoyed our scallops appetizer, the pasta of the day and the ravioli. Oh and loved the hazelnut tartufo.
I’m sorry I hadn’t returned sooner. Stellar lunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon - there is no better location in Easton for outdoor seating than Scossa. The food and service remain top notch and the Staff, so accommodating, patient and kind. The saffron fish soup is my absolute long time favorite and the pasta with a name I can’t pronounce in Gorgonzola and pear sauce? Best thing I ate in a very long time, absolutely delicious. In an ever changing world we are so fortunate in Easton to have such a wonderful, reliable and consistent restaurant to return to.
Been a while since we were here, but been meaning to give this place a review: Excellent service and great food. The fixed price lunch was an awesome deal as well. Highly recommend.
Received a call from my son in law wanting to know if we would join him and my daughter at this fine establishment for her birthday celebration and I'm glad we did. This was our first time dining at Scossa and we were not disappointed. The hour plus drive was well worth it. As soon as I walked in I was impressed by the decor and welcoming atmosphere. Low lighting and candles burning really set the mood for the evening. The drink menu was great with a large selection of wine, various beer and mixed drinks and cocktails. The menu could have offered more variety but everything we had was excellent. For appetizers we had the best chilled shrimp and octopus as well as fried calamari. Simply delicious!!!! Our main course was a mix of lobster risotto and veal Parmigiano, all excellent. Desert was a wonderful cheese cake. This restaurant offers most traditional Italian cuisine as well as salads, soup and deserts. It really was well worth the trip and made for a very enjoyable evening with the family. I would highly recommend this restaurant for quality Italian cuisine and great atmosphere.
Everything in this restaurant was truly perfection, all the flavors and textures were 100% as perfect can be 😍 From the saffron soup, the grilled vegetable platter, to the blue cheese with cream pear sauce pasta!! It was absolutely to die for! You cannot miss this gem of a restaurant, an absolute must!
We arrived hot and tired and a bit underdressed but we were treated well and the food was outstanding. I had the Butternut Squash Risotto with Scallops. Excellent and the gelato is the best I have had since going to Italy! I highly recommend Scossa.
My wife and I wanted to check out Easton, MD and she frequently passes Scossa Restaurant & Lounge prior to work in the evening and noticed the lively atmosphere. The restaurant was highly recommended by her co-workers. We had a great variety of food and we were not disappointed. The meal was complemented with a fine bottle of wine and our Servers recommendations were right on point. Thank you for a great evening.
Had a wedding rehearsals dinner here and it was fabulous. Service was professional, accurate, discrete even with all the people moving around. The food was great. Loved the chocolate torte. Got a bit loud in the back room, maybe some more noise dampening on the walls or ceiling would help?
Excellent dining experience. I ordered the asparagus risotto and my date ordered the chicken parm. Both were amazing and was the service! We also ordered 2 cocktails that had us quite tipsy upon leaving. The only suggestion I would give to anyone reading this is that this is not a place for the guy who always want burgers or the girl who wants chicken tenders. This is a Foodies place and you won't be disappointed: )
Just fabulous! First off, they were kind enough to work in a late reservation for 9 on a Friday night for our out-of-town group. It was super busy but our waiter (and team) did not miss a beat. Drinks and appetizers were ordered and came out quickly. Appetizers were great! Then the main courses came out in a short time as well. We were celebrating a birthday so they lit the candles on our cake, sliced and plated it. I couldn't have been happier from beginning to end! Thanks Scossa team! How lucky Easton is.
Had dinner at Scossa last night for the third time and have to say it is one of my favorite restaurants in all of MD. The menu, service, food, cocktails, wines and ambiance are all top notch. Sitting on the patio in nice weather with a view of the historic Talbot County courthouse is amazing. Highly recommend making a reservation on weekends. 👍
I coordinated an office holiday party here, we ate lunch at Scossa after a fun couple of hours painting pottery at Kiln Born Creations (less than a minute walk away). Restaurant is sophisticated and inviting, menu has a great variety of options, servers were friendly and attentive and food was delicious. Our experience could have easily been different, we were a group of 38 who ordered off the menu (in case there is any question, we did make reservations, didn’t surprise them 😁). The staff brought our courses out quickly with the right amount of time in between and all together. I definitely recommend Scossa! I didn’t hear a single complaint from a coworker, we agree we’ll have to come back again soon!
Went here for our anniversary. As usual we had a wonderful experience. The food and service was first class. Without asking our waitress brought us an assortment of pastries for our anniversary. Very nice touch to cap off a great dinner. There is no secret why this place is always crowded, call for a reservation....you won't be disappointed!!!
We had a large group and did a wonderful job. See you next year.
Great food. Upscale environment. Excellent service. What more could you ask for?
Chef Carlo is amazing! Take the time to fully enjoy the refined menu offerings from this truly talented chef. The flavors, textures, aromas and visual appeal of his dishes come a technical ability that is equal to his imaginative culinary vision.
This is such a nice place for quality food and excellent service. It is a small place and it was unexpected how good it made you feel. They were also so good about splitting a shared salad and making suggestions
My first time into downtown Easton. I can't wait to return for a day trip in nicer weather to explore. I would not mind going back to Scossa but I saw several other places I would like to try. The atmosphere was lovely, the menu was interesting and our waiter was wonderful ... professional yet friendly and humorous. I highly recommend the risotto with shrimp and asparagus...it was phenomenal. I enjoyed all the food and I don't think it was exorbitant in price. Worth checking it out.
My husband and I recently had our rehearsal dinner at this restaurant. When we were first searching we really wanted a beautiful, secluded room to hold our guests. Scossa had just what we were looking for. Not only what the room spacious, but the Italian food is beyond delicious and the staff was simply amazing. Thank you Scossa, the chef, Tally, and the wonderful staff for making our wedding rehearsal dinner a wonderful experience!
Went to scossa for lupper on Sunday. Had a great meal. Incredible staff so relaxing. The food was impeccable. I can't wait to go back again. Sat at the bar and Emily was an incredible bartender.
Interesting menu. Had squid ink pasta with lobster. Unfortunately lobster was way overcooked and rubbery. Pleasant staff, nice location. I would try again.
Waiter was absolutely fantastic. We mentioned the type of wine we like and he brought out two samples, both of which fit our taste. Personally, I had a hard time finding something on the menu to eat because the menu on their website was not the same menu served. The menu served had quite a few items with veal in them, which I do not eat. I already had my entree picked based on their website's menu, but ended up with the risotto with butternut squash and shrimp. I'm not a fan of butternut squash but chose this risotto because the other one had something I would not eat and I can't remember what it is right now. However, my friend enjoyed the shrimp in the curry sauce with rice. Dessert was delicious. I had the lemon sorbet and my friend had the peach sorbet. This was only my second time at Scossa, and I will return.
Definitely good, definitely not the best I have ever had. Fantastic service, atmosphere certainly needed some improvement but great drink list and raviolis were decent.
Food and drink are excellent. If your inside during prime dinner hour it's a little loud making simple conversation a little tough, but not a reason to not enjoy a fine restaurant. Service was good just not deserving of five stars.
Quality Italian cuisine. The branzino in lemon and caper sauce was outstanding. Wine selection is great and the pours were generous. A bit pricey but not without reason. Good spot for a special occasion.
Good food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. However I must say that this environment did not feel very Covid safe. Capacity was high and many guests felt free to move around the restaurant without wearing a mask. The experience made myself and my spouse very anxious to leave the building.
Went as a couple on a not so busy Sunday night. We were met warmly and seated promptly with good service throughout. Food selection on the menu was great- many entrees to select from . Food came out piping hot . We were very pleased - would recommend and go again!
The drinks were great.... the atmosphere was nice... the best part of the meal was the beginning(lovely salad) and the end (tasty Lemon Ice) the bad part was everything on all of our main plates were cold as ice. Now in all fairness, it was a large Rehearsal dinner party, but still....
Nice evening overall, marred by a ridiculously pretentious table next to us on the patio. Food was pedestrian, not terrible, but forgettable. Possibly the chef having a bad night, but two dishes were sub par for what I remember of Scosa. Perhaps management has gone in a new direction. Definitely zero dress to be to code. Ball hats welcome!
We will probably never return. The ceasar salad was good, but both our entrees were really bad. Way too much salt in the ravioli - did they taste the filling before they served it? The risotto was ok, but the portion was much more of an appetizer than an entree. Service was good, but the food turned us off.
Good lord what has happened to my favorite restaurant in Easton? First, the Resturant was so loud and you could not have a conversation at the dinner table without raising your voice. The service, without a doubt was atrocious. Staff walked by the table, never cleared plates, and forgot to bring silverware 🍴 when they finally bussed the tables. The bread basket they tossed on the table was stale. The entree I had (veal) was so dry It was hard to chew (this was the same comment from others in the group that had the veal). The only reason for two stars is for some of the seasoned staff we have known for a long time. Even though we were not in their section, they came over to check on us. Unless Scossa starts hiring staff that wants to be there and understands that a restaurant is a service business, and the chef brings his A game, I’m afraid it may not last. It’s such a shame since we loved this place.
I’ve never left a bad review for a restaurant, but I guess there’s a first for everything. Growing up my stepfather owned an Italian restaurant and I understand how difficult the business can be but this experience was awful. Three of the four of us ordered the chicken parm (a good litmus test for any Italian restaurant) the chicken was so tough and freezer burnt it couldn’t be cut with the butter knife provided. We ate the small portion of pasta and left the chicken on the plate as I would never ask for a free meal or replacement. I did however assume the waitress would ask what was wrong so we could at minimum give some feedback… nope I was wrong - nothing - “boxes or check”. Still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt I asked the first person I could find to speak with a manager she politely said she would go find her. I waited for a few minutes only to have the same person come back and say “the manager said I can help you with whatever you need”. Clearly from management to the cooks no one cares about quality or service there right now. The place has a great atmosphere and nice location for anyone traveling the Eastern Shore but someone needs to step in and care to correct the course.
I have never been so disappointed in a dining experience! This place is supposed to have good risotto, but what I had was not risotto! It was the most bland and poorly textured rice I have ever had. It tasted like they cooked instant rice in water and threw some flavorless sauce on it. The steak tips were just roast beef in gravy. They were as least flavorful, but not what I was expecting based on the description of the dish. The bread and crackers served before the meal were bland and mediocre. I am so upset that I paid $25 for such low quality food. This place has great reviews so I'm not sure if they were having an off day or what.
I went there last week and ordered a dessert to go. It was old and obviously went bad so I threw it out. I went again tonight and told the waiter the story and he said they took it off the menu because they knew it was a problem. I asked for a different dessert and he charged me for it. When I asked to talk to the manager he said she would not remove the charge. I asked her to Come over and told her how I bought the cheesecake and it obviously went bad and I threw it out. She was the owner and said I should have called the next day. I said I figured I would just tell you the next time I came since I’m always there. She said too bad you should not have waited. She was so nasty and I was shocked. I said I won’t be coming back and she she just said ok. She lost a weekly customer over a $12 dessert! What a nasty indignant disrespectful owner and the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant.
We were scheduled to have our rehearsal dinner tasting at Scossa for our wedding, and the experience was so unprofessional that we ultimately canceled our event entirely. We emailed Scossa on December 5, 2025 with all of the menu selections we wanted to taste for our rehearsal dinner. They acknowledged receipt of that email, so we reasonably believed everything was set. Our tasting was scheduled for January 13, 2026 at 6:00 PM for four people, which had been clearly communicated in writing — meaning they had more than a month to review, confirm, and prepare. Despite this, the day before our tasting we received a reservation reminder that was completely wrong: it listed two people at 4:00 PM. That alone showed that our event was not being handled with care or attention. Then, one hour before our 6:00 PM tasting, Talley called us at 5:00 PM saying we had “never submitted our selections” and that the chef needed instructions. I immediately re-forwarded the original email proving that we had sent everything weeks earlier. When we arrived, we were told that the 6oz Beef Tenderloin Alla Rossini — the most important and most expensive dish we were considering for our rehearsal dinner — was not available and had not been prepared. This was a paid tasting, not a complimentary one, so there was no excuse for this level of unpreparedness. To make matters worse, we had driven two hours to get there, only to be met with indifference and disorganization. Talley offered no apology, no accountability, and no meaningful solution. Her only suggestion was that we could taste the sauce from the dish, which is unacceptable when you are choosing a main entrée for a wedding event. Every detail was wrong. Every step was mishandled. And if Scossa couldn’t get a tasting right — with months of notice — we had no confidence they could execute our actual rehearsal dinner. We left feeling disrespected and deeply disappointed, and we canceled our event. This was not just bad service — it was a complete failure of professionalism.
