Re-opened today, 25.05.20, terrace service only, full menu available from 1000 - 17.00, Bar open 1000 - 1800. As good as ever, one of my favourite places in the area. Good food, good service and all at very competitive prices.

Went in after recommendations for the carvery, not realising you had to book. Was very kindly squeezed in. Excellent service, very friendly stuff, and a lovely dinner at very reasonable prices. IF I had to be picky, the roast potatoes were a bit on the dry side, but overall a great selection of tasty meats and vegetables. Very impressed, will be in again next time I'm in the area! 😊

Amazing staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Good banter with their customers especially Erica and Mark. Excellent food, plenty of it. Never been able to finish a meal there as desperate Dan portions. Brilliant for us as right behind new home so we could nip across when we needed to down tools for a while as working non stop on house. Book early for 2 for a tenner deals on a Thursday and book even further ahead for Sunday lunches. Bacon baguettes will fill you up all day long trust me. 😇😇. Tip if you have the cottage pie DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO ORDER THE 'HANDFUL' OF CHIPS WITH IT!!!! As the pie is huge. Very very healthy, you name it its in it 🤣🤣

Had afternoon tea here today A large group of ladies to cater for nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Food came out fresh and plenty of it . It’s hard to find a good afternoon tea would definitely recommend . Everyone took cakes home And only 12€

Dieses Restaurants ist eines der ältesten Restaurants von El Chaparral. Ich mache oft nach meiner Hunderunde eine Kaffeepause. Der Kaffee ist sehr gut und preiswert(1,20). Das Restaurant bietet englische Küche an, die schmackhaft und preiswert ist. Das Restaurant wird von einer englischen Familie mit mehreren Generationen geführt, die sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich bedient. Auch sehr Kinder freundlich, kein Problem mit Kindern hier essen zu gehen. Sowohl der innenbereich als auch die Terrasse aussen sind sehr groß. So das man auch grosse Feiern hier ausrichten kann und auch dafür sehr zu empfehlen ist.

The food and service is excellent and it is very popular, especially for Sunday lunch. Also near to our home.

Carmen's is a lovely pub/restaurant. A varied menu which is well cooked and presented. The staff are always welcoming and attentive. Price wise is very reasonable. Visit and let Phil and staff show you how to enjoy a good lunch or dinner.

Bar Carmen offers the best Sunday lunch at the best price. Great choice of starters and a fantastic choice of deserts with a minimum of 10 choices every week. The carvery offers a choice of 4 roast meats all beautifully cooked and a superb choice of properly cooked vegetables which are replenished frequently. All hot food is hot. Service and staff are excellent. We have tried most restaurants and bars for Sunday lunch and nowhere comes even a close second for quality,price and service.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea in aid of the fund raising for the Ukraine. I am gluten intolerant and the chefs couldn't do enough to accommodate my intolerances. I had told them in advance of my problem and they succeeded beautifully. Thank you once again and I'll definitely be back.x

Sunday dinner was excellent, so good a fortnight ago had to go back today for another go. Great selection of starters and sweets and the carvery is well presented with a large range of choices.

We travel a lot and eat in and around the Costa Blanca South and visit at least one new Leisure complex which serves food every week. Most Food Operations try really hard in order to give the public enjoyable Breakfasts, Lunches or Dinners together with value for money. Today we visited "Carmen Bar & Restaurant" and all three of us shared and tasted different dishes from Starters, Mains and Deserts and came away with a BIG SMILE..."we just got to go there more regularly".... The Service, the Plate Presentation and Taste of Dishes was beyond our expectations not to forget the friendliness. We were also unaware they offered "Afternoon Tea" with a Great Selection of Sandwiches and Cakes (advance booking required) on the first Wednesday of each month together with a Sunday Carvery Lunch (also booking advised). What a Package to find in Spain and a Lunch (Menú del Día) we experienced must be what most people would look for....5 Stars all the way..The Carmen deserves this..⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had the afternoon tea which is once per month and it was fantastic ! All very tasty home made food and we received a glass of Cava each and limitless pots of tea.

Went to carmens for Sunday lunch...Wow wow wow. The best meal I have had in ages. Carvery, hot plates, hot food, delicious tender meat, tasty Gravy, plenty choice hot veg and potatoes, yummy stuffing and great staff attitude. And for not a lot of money.

If I could give Carmen’s 6 stars I would. We’ve been coming here for the carvery for a few years now and every time is as good as the first. The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The food is amazing. We usually share the battered mushroom started between 3 as we like to save ourselves for the main, but in the occasion that we did have starters the brie and the soup was delicious. The carvery itself is exceptional, the chef behind the carvery station makes the experience that bit better too, the food is always to a high standard and is all so flavourful. The desserts are just as good. Personally I have only had a cheesecake from Carmen’s but the different flavours each time we go are all amazing. Honestly I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough :)

I traveled nearly 2 hours to see my friend and Jan took us to Carmen's restaurant. As it was a Friday, we had fish chips and mushy peas . It was the best fish and chips we have tasted in Spain in 9 years of living here . Will definitely travel 2 hours again to eat there . The waitress had fabulous services as well xx see you soon xx and we had live music as well . Brilliant

Thursday nights - 2 meals for €12 can't get much better than that! It's home cooked with the pies being big favourites because of the pastry. The menu is probably best described as English cuisine. Best to book If you want Sunday lunch it's definitely best to book. Wednesday (think it starts at 12) there's an auction of bits n pieces which is very popular. Good local restaurant, Julie / Phil & the team great at what they do. If you want the Sunday carvery book in advance, fills up quick. Been using their places ( previously at Hoggies) For many many years and they just get better and more inventive with food offerings.

Carmen's was recommended to us by a resident of Torrevieja when we were visiting. Finally called in, just for a beer, lovely staff, pleasant surroundings. Went back last night for a quick meal with friends - fantastic value! Thursdays is 2 main meals for €12, although there is also quite an extensive menu if you wanted to choose from there. Lots of choice on the 2 for €12, we had homemade steak and mushroom pie, chips and peas, the pie was packed with lovely tender meat (I'm very fussy about meat), proper chips and the desserts were lovely. Staff are so pleasant and friendly, will definitely be back!

Being coming here well over 30 years but the last 10/12 years have been far better since Julie took over the food is excellent always pipeing hot when it's put in front of you. Fish and chips on a Friday first class. Breakfast in the morning is great value. My wife and I have had great times here, even though she has just passed away I will carry on supporting Phil, Michael and the staff

No wonder you have to book ages in advance! We've just moved into the area and went for Sunday lunch here today - it was fabulous 😀 It's a carvery, and the meat was really good and well carved. You help yourself to veggies, etc. The dessert menu is extensive and it's all excellent value for money. Of course no review would be complete without mentioning the staff: Erica was so friendly and helpful, and the support staff were efficient and clearly well trained. It really is one of the best Sunday lunches we've had for ages. Thank you, everyone at Carmen's.

Great place serving typically English pub grub. Great Carvery on a Sunday, good, varied menu throughout the week and great breakfasts as well. Worth a visit if you are missing a bit of food from the UK- and don´t forget about the cheesecakes.....

Delicious Sunday roast beef lunch today. Hot plates and everyone called sir or madam instead of GUYS which I find so disrespectful. The beef was lovely , I had the rare end which I asked for. Nice selection of vegetables including cauliflower cheese at no extra cost! Amazing selection of desserts, cheesecakes in lots of different flavours included. Very friendly helpful staff and owner. Will return. However I have yet to find anywhere that does crispy roast potatoes!!

Carvery Sunday lunch. A good serving of meats with lots of choice of hot vegetables on hot plates! Mushy instead of garden peas was a surprise but a pleasant one. Not the cheapest carvery but a tasty, filling one. The karaoke afterwards was entertaining.

Nice very large sunny terrace with extensive shaded areas. Large bar area and large restaurant inside. Events and entertainment in the evenings according to season. Specials on Thursday evenings 2 meals for €10 euros. Coffee and brandy still only 2 euros. Free WiFi, obliging staff. Nice place to chill inside or out and conveniently placed next to the bus stop Urb. El Chaparral. Typically English but appeals to all.

Great place to eat and drink. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Food was hearty and great tasting and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Will be coming back soon.

Excellent carvery on a Sunday, the fish and chips option is also very good midweek. Its usually quite busy but you can always get a seat. Booking is essential for the carvery

This was my second visit to the pub and this time we had breakfast and it was very nice especially the sausages, the place is usually very busy with people eating in the restaurant and drinking in the bar that extends to the outside. Most of the staff are very friendly and welcoming and some are not. But it's still worth going for a breakfast if you don't go again.

Torrevieja U3A held a Quiz Night at the end of January for 60 people at the restaurant. Great atmosphere with We an excellent carvery followed by a large selection of desserts. Well done to all the staff

Début de semaine je passe pour réserver 15 personnes a 15h30 le vendredi et ils me disent qu'il n'est pas nécessaire de réserver pour l'après-midi. A 15 h30 le vendredi je me présente et ils nous disent qu'il est impossible de manger car tout est réserver pour une fête... pas sérieux !!!
