I had a great experience at this restaurant. The waiters were very patient and respectful. I ordered the Bacon Wrapped Jalapeños and was not disappointed. Crispy bacon wrapped around a perfectly cooked pepper filled with cheese melted in my mouth. Absolutely delicious with the included salsa. I had the pomegranate frozen martini which was exploding with flavors and would 10/10 drink again. Lastly I tried their Tiramisu..... to die for. I have nothing but good things to say about Mesa Street Grill. Will definitely be returning for more Jalapeños and Tiramisu!
Seriously... the best Mac&Cheese I have ever had. Was on our way to Urban Air for some afternoon fun. Kids said they were hungry and we just pulled in cause it didn’t look too busy. Seated instantly, and yes we are dressed casual... treated awesome, though I felt we were under dressed and my kids are little energy demons! The Crab-Art-dip is amazing.. and I am writing this review before I get my Shrimp tacos! Highly recommend. SERIOUSLY THE BEST MAC&CHEESE! Going to come back for the “adult” Lobster&Mac!!!
I live in Virginia and I flew down to have my sister’s wedding shower here and it was BEAUTIFUL!! The event coordinator, Michelle is AMAZING! She helped me coordinate everything from Virginia and she is fantastic!! I can’t rave enough about her. The servers and waiters were EXCELLENT!! Their service was beyond words. They truly made my sister’s wedding shower so memorable and enjoyable. I would choose them over and over again!! Thank you for everything guys!!
Very upscale dining establishment leaving central and headed up into west El Paso. Located on Mesa street nestled comfortably amongst an entire street of fine dining. I come in mostly for the happy hour menu that runs from 4-7 daily. The Mesa Street Grill is one of my top 10 Restaurant in El Paso based solely on the bar menu and atmosphere. The dishes are a little over priced but always prepared to perfection with an elegant presentation. Waitstaff is very knowledgeable in their ability to peer wines with foods.
Mesa Street Grill: A Luxurious and Memorable Dining Experience I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my husband's birthday at Mesa Street Grill, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff was outstanding – friendly, professional, and attentive to our every need. A special shout-out to our server, Tomas, who made us feel welcome and ensured our evening ran smoothly. The ambiance at Mesa Street Grill is truly luxurious and inviting. The beautiful decor creates a perfect atmosphere for a special occasion. We were particularly impressed with the wine cellar and the patio area. This was our first visit to Mesa Street Grill, and we were so impressed that we've already booked our daughter's quinceañera celebration there in June. The entire family was captivated by the restaurant's serene and quiet environment. We can't wait to celebrate this special milestone at Mesa Street Grill and share our experience with everyone. Thank you, Mesa Street Grill, for making my husband's birthday so memorable today. We look forward to returning soon for our daughter's celebration!
The food was amazing, the staff was okay, cocktail wasn’t my favorite, and im from Europ so i have a difficulty with the water here. The water from el paso from the tap I really don’t like. I’m not sure what’s in it but I really can’t stand the taste. So a big thumbs up for the food LOVED IT!
My wife and I were met by Carlos and shown the table. He recommended the Ceviche tower which was superb. I had the Ribeye and she had the Steak Diane. Both were perfectly cooked and tasted phenomenal. Then, we opted for the Bananas Foster. Claudio came and cooked table side and gave us a great show with his flambé skills! Great spot, very romantic. Highly recommend.
The restaurant itself was fantastic and would be a top-tier recommendation for anything on Mesa Street. The food came out in a timely manner. The food portion size compared to the price was perfect, along with the food being cooked exactly how we wanted it. I had the seabass, and my partner had the Duck. Overall, it was a 5-star experience and was a night to remember! Our Waiter Luis was extremely attentive, and Gave us fantastic recommendations. He Was very knowledgeable on the menu. He was patient and took his time to explain different menu options/ combinations. He didn't try to rush us into ordering anything and accommodate me and partners 1 year anniversary perfectly.
Two thumbs up, straight up 5 big stars !!! First of all, make sure you order their Caesar salad, which you'll find the freshest lettuce 🥬 served in the most juiciest condition, and their sauce is well blended with my favourite anchovies, salty to the point you need it. For meat, I ordered their 20pz Ribeye on Bone, sided with grilled asparagus, and was surprisingly to find out that the seasoning of their meat, and the way they grill it, perfect combination!!! In their language, it's called "Expertly Grilled" ! P.S. will suggest you sit at their patio, the lightning is just perfectly decorated, plus there's very nice band music 7pm during the weekend 😉
Absolutely Fantastic Company Christmas Event. The private dining room was adorned with the most beautiful picture-perfect European decorations. How they were able to find anything like that is beyond amazing. It set the stage for an enjoyable night. The service was also spectacular all evening long. Mesa Street provided the very best Christmas Event we've experienced to-date. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for great service, great atmosphere, and professionals who know their business! Thank you all so much for a wonderful evening!
I'm at a loss for words to describe this place the atmosphere and the food here... Is is freaking AMAZING!!! The Ceviche Tower appetizer was delicious... the Atlanic Salmon id the best fish I hand ever tasted... try the lobster mac n cheese... so freaking cheesy... o recommend this place if you want to impress a date... thankfully I don't need to impress anyone... besides my girlfriend... Which in my opinion is worse!!! Y'all be safe!!! ✌❤
Awesome staff is deserving of 6 stars. Food delicious but overboard on the char of the vegetables. I couldn't even identify by taste what vegetables I was served. My sea bass was cooked beautifully and the espresso was perfectly brewed. Will be back to try more items off the menu next time I'm in town.
I was greeted by the manager Michelle. She was very kind, welcoming and promptly took us to our table. Carlos & Claudio waited on us. Very fine gentlemen with excellent interpersonal skills. Not only was our food delightful, but the service we received throughout the evening was second to none. I can see why this is one of El Paso's top dining spots. Will be back. Highly reccomended! Absolutely perfect night.
Stopped by for lunch and had a great experience. We were promptly seated and our server Carolina was a joy. We all ordered fish and chips. The fish used here is Branzino, a type of Sea Bass. White, very flaky fish. This is no traditional fish in chips. The fish is a single piece, made up of a whole fish filet with the skin and tail attached. This is in turn breaded and fried, then served on a bed of home made potato chips and garnished with tartar sauce and greens. What a beautiful dish and the taste was amazing. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by the way the food was prepared and to a person raved about the flavor. For dessert we tried the cheesecake crème brûlée and an espresso panna. Delightful in every way. Excellent experience, we will definitely come again.
Excellent upper mid-market restaurant; classy feel with all the trappings of a fine restaurant including a decent wine list (even a few ports to choose from) and delicious food. Every one of the several meals I've tried here has been delicious, but the Lamb Rack takes the cake as my personal recommendation- 4 cutlets atop creamy potatoes... A generous serving size for such a mouth watering delicacy! Staff are super friendly and go the extra mile to be accommodating where possible. We were celebrating the graduation of a friend, and were very happy with the venue choice. And a shout out to Alyssa for being a great sport while serving us; her balance of friendly yet professional service meant that by the end of the night she felt like one of the party and not just a server! Strongly recommend this venue for dinner and/or drinks in a classy setting which is just upmarket enough that suits would fit in, but casual enough to feel truly relaxed. Pricing is upper-mid range for this region. The menu is available online (in my photos attached to this review if nowhere else!), so take a look before booking to ensure you know what you're in for.
I would like to say thank you so much for a wonderful nite. My niece graduated last nite and we had ended up deciding on going out to eat. We took a chance and ended up at Mesa Street. The staff was gracious to take care of us. Dante was amazing at his service. I know that we did go in with a reservation and it was nice of you all to take us in for a spectacular memory. Food and drinks were top notch. Ty again and happy holidays 💖
Muchas gracias. Altamente recomendado. La comida estuvo rapida y todo delicioso.
The food was great. I try Lobster Mac n Cheese at just about every dining location that has it. Mesa Street Grill is amongst the best to serve this dish. They have earned a place on the date night location for the Wife and I.
My husband's steak was really good and the restaurant is very pretty inside. The crab cake appetizer was my favorite. Our server was attentive and very polite.
I want to thank the entire team for making my Moms 65th dinner so special. From working within my budget to checking in throughout the evening and reviewing the seating chart, every detail was handled with such care. A big thank-you to Dante and Ivan for going above and beyond. I truly appreciate everything, and I’d highly recommend for anyone planning a small, intimate dinner party.
I had not been to Mesa Street Grill in a very long time, but it's still as good as I remember. I went during lunch and they have some options that are budget friendly if you are looking for that. I recommend for a date night 🌙
It's always a pleasure to dine at Mesa Street Grille. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant.
This is my third time at Mesa St Grill. I’m surprised by the not so positive reviews as I’ve always had a great experience here. For dinner we ordered a 12 oz NY strip steak, calamari and Steak Diane. Everything was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Yes, the food is a bit pricier, but the portions are generous. Both my husband and I only ate about half of our food and took home the rest because we were full. I’d say this is a great place to come for a birthday, date night or special occasion. Overall 10/10 for us, definitely recommend this place!
Working with Ivan Casas was a wonderful experience. His communication was excellent, he was quick to respond to emails, and he made the planning process smooth from start to finish. He helped turn my graduation vision into reality, and the event turned out beautifully. I’m very thankful for his dedication and support throughout the entire process.
Truly enjoyable. The bartender, who was also my server, Dante, gave superior service. Super attentive, very helpful in offering food and drink suggestions, and quick. The food was good and I appreciated their specials. Not a fan of walking up slippery steps in humid conditions , but the interior was very nice, if not a bit dark for my taste. Still, lovely. Will definitely return.

Went to Mesa Street for lunch yesterday with a group of 10. We were on a tight schedule so we called ahead and asked if they could set up a table for us quickly. The staff handled it perfectly. They had us seated fast and the service was excellent the whole time. The food was great and everything came out quickly which helped us stay on schedule. Even with a large group they kept things smooth and organized. Really appreciated how accommodating they were. Great spot for lunch and they made the whole experience easy. We will definitely be back.

We had our company holiday dinner at Mesa Street Grill. From the moment we made the reservation our experience with the staff was outstanding. We had over 30 people at the restaurant and the servers seamlessly took our orders and provided superb service. The food was overpriced and the flavors were average. But the restaurant’s ambiance and the magnificent treatment we received from the staff made up for it.
One of the best restaurants I ever tried In El Paso! The food was good, the environment perfect. The dessert was very good! And also the service was amazing. I recommend this place of you have a Christmas nigh or thanksgiving, also for a birthday party etc. Charming and good restaurant!!!
Food was presented nicely but average on the flavor on some of the plates we got, my wife got some chipotle pasta which was really good, I got the lamb chops with were lacking flavor, cheesecake was ok, it was a combination of creme brulee with cheesecake. Service was great, server was very professional and quick and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming. Will probably come back and check out the other items.
The hosts were super friendly and our waiter, Dante, was super attentive, friendly, and top of everything. The food was a bit sub par for my taste. My partner loved her shrimp tacos, but my burger was little under cooked for medium well. However, the service made the experience pretty enjoyable that we'd go back to try more menu items.
Es agradable y muy buena atención y comida
Deliciosa la carne, un poco chico el plato
Estuvo muy bien
Cómodo y confortable
Buena me gusto el lugar
In comparison to other dining establishments within the El Paso area, when using menu, service, and price as metrics, this is mid. At best. Save yourself the experience of being surrounded with the visual stimulation created by a Target picture aisle mating with Amazon discount artwork. However, if you too also like to live dangerously, you may enjoy the ambiance created by dudes who arrive to dine wearing their gym clothing. Don’t get me wrong; I fully endorse people getting their sweat on in their Underarmor attire. Just not so sure I dig it when I’m trying to eat my ceviche tower that looks nothing like the restaurant’s picture. The food was hit and miss. The ceviche tower looked like a 5-year old’s art project, but tasted better. Very nice presentation with the oysters. The mains presented with a minimalist’s touch, as expected, but lacked any inspiration expected from a $50 a plate establishment. The duck was cooked nicely, but lacked any real flavor outside of nicely cooked duck. The Steak Diane has a very delightful and rich sauce, but looked like it was plated by Stevie Wonder. PS…if you order an imported beer from this place, check the expiration date on the back and expect to pour it yourself. Mine was a year expired. The staff was adequate, but either ill-trained or gave zero cares about the service provided. They are neither knowledgeable on the menu items, which should be a fine dining crime, nor do they have the whereabouts to open a bottle of wine and pour the first glass. Consideration; there were two staff working the complete dining room. Secondary Consideration; half the main dining area was not set up, with chairs stacked upon each other like a closed local bingo hall. Overall, this establishment receives a three star rating. If the banana foster wasn’t absolutely delicious, it would get a two. Don’t believe the pictures on the site; the food didn’t look remotely similar, nor was there any cloths on the tables. It was almost as if this place wasn’t sure if it was open for business or not. Better places to dine include, but are not limited to, Anson 11, Taft Diaz, Cedar and Vine, Victoria’s, and Mamacitas.
Food was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant was beautiful. Our waiter was amazing and the management was professional. Would’ve been a perfect experience and rated it 5 stars as it was my first time eating here with my girlfriend but unfortunately our host seemed very hesitant on seating us when we first arrived as he asked firmly if we made any reservations and when I replied no to him he became irritated and looked me and my girlfriend up and down slowly making us feel uncomfortable and asked how old we were in a demanding tone. Startled from this I told him our age and he just said we looked “ to young” to be here and that he was just making sure how old we were and said he’ll seat us anyways in a prodigious tone. Which left me baffled as I’m pretty sure there isn’t an age limit to eat here unless I’m wrong. I just felt uncomfortable at that point and was ready to walk out from that point as I felt unwelcomed.
Went for valentines , they have a special menu, our server was very nice and recommended a good wine. The steak we ordered medium / medium rare and we received well done/medium well and sent it back to be redone. It was kinda more on the rare side when we got the new one but overall still good filet. The potato was just like any regular potato nothing special. Asparagus were kinda on the cold side wish they could’ve been more charred. As well, the desert was okay. Overall the experience wasn’t sometning to be overly impressed by. A special date but probably won’t go again. Also the plating on the plates is kinda horrible for a upscale restaurant. Paid $200 including the tip that’s in the total if you use card!
A quaint little spot. The steak was good but beware it is covered in butter and oil. All sides are al a carte and very limited (only one healthy vegetable option). The vegan tacos would be so good if they were not covered in oil. The charcuterie board is very very basic and came out a smoked cheddar cheese that was not good at all. The chocolate cake is very good and im not typically a chocolate cake fan. This place would have gotten more stars if they would lay off the oil on everything. That staff was amazing and very sweet!
Dull atmosphere. Food is excellent and expensive. Takes a long time to get the food to your table after ordering.
Anniversary dinner . Dinner for two $900 . Food was ok . Waiter was ok . Expected something more for a high end restaurant.
We made a reservation got there on time. Everything was going good until we got sitted at the table. Took a while for a waiter to come and assist us with drinks and took a 1 hour to deliver our food.
We had higher expectations for this place. I guess that's why it was more of a disappointment. There were eight of us with a reservation. They cramped us on the smallest table possible in the patio area. Literally sitting elbow to elbow. After telling them that we needed a bigger table, they set us up with something better. We ordered drinks, and they were pretty good. We tried a few different cocktails, they were all great. The menu was different online, and it made it a bit confusing when we wanted to order food. The only thing I enjoyed was their Calamari appetizer. It's really good! The rest of our food was average in taste and not cooked perfectly like you'd expect, considering how much it costs to eat here. I had the duck, and my wife had the chicken. The rest of our party had fish and chicken Everyone had the same compliant about mushy fish, and the duck was weird texture as well. The sides were ok. I wouldn't recommend dinner here. It's overpriced for the quality. It is a good place for drinks with friends, though.
My wife and I came here on Saturday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was good, and the staff was attentive, but unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. We ordered the arrachera and lobster, but both dishes arrived cold and lacked seasoning. The lobster mac and cheese and the appetizer with shrimp and calamari were the best parts of our meal — those were flavorful and well-prepared. We also ordered two alcoholic drinks, and our total came out to around $180. For that price, we expected the entrées to be much better. Sadly, the food just wasn’t worth it. We don’t plan on coming back, as the overall experience didn’t justify the cost.
After a first visit with family for Mother’s Day , we noted we will def not return. The food was just OK mid at best. The waiter was extremely awkward , poured water into my sons lemonade, tried to take our appetizer off the table when he felt we were done ( we were not done ) then the food took about a hour , they were not busy despite it being Mother’s Day weekend , we didn’t receive any bread til we were almost done with our meal , (other tables got their bread while waiting ) again we waited about a hour for our meal, then when the waiter boxed up our left overs (we took home the sautéed mushrooms) he poured the whole wine base into the box and when we got home to put the food away all the boxes were completely drenched with the wine base that the mushrooms were cooked in , the bag was full of liquid. It was just awkward and not a good experience at all. Great way to spend over $ 400. Not.
Lunch $200+ Made reservations three days in advance, asked to be seated in the dining room. We were sat in the patio it was hot and covered in dirt. service was SUUUUPER slow. it took them well over an hour to get our meal out on a slow afternoon. Dont do it unless you have at least 2.5 hours of your time available. Food was alright not great.
We came to have dinner and were told it was reservation only. We have been here before and have never been told that. This was on a saturday evening. Then we were told if we had shown up earlier we would have been seated. So which one is it? Probably will not return, just advising everyone planning to go here about “reservations”.
This was once my favorite restaurant in El Paso but it somehow lost its way. The prices are outrageous now and the quality of the experience doesn’t come close to what I would expect for those charges. My wife and I ordered the steak Diane and it was undercooked (this has been a trend). We ordered some cocktails and the ratios were off, they were missing ingredients advertised on the menu, served in a warm glass with cloudy ice and just tasted bad. I sucked it up and choked it down then asked for a new cocktail I felt would be easier for them to make only to be told ten minutes later they didn’t have the ingredients for it. The chocolate cake was still good but they forgot to put the vanilla drizzle on it. The bill comes and it’s over $250. I could have easily went to West Texas Chophouse and got the same steak (cooked properly) and the same cocktails (prepared properly) and the same desert (consistently prepared) and paid less than half of what Mesa Street Grill is charging so tell me; why would I want to come back.
Horrible experience, this place was great 10 years ago. Surprised to see its clearly died now. Place had a terrible smell, reminded me of an old dusty hotel, or a dirty casino. We waited as there was no one there to greet us & the place was empty. Anyway really disorganized, terrible menu. Food was Applebee’s quality or maybe I’m insulting Applebee’s at this point. I took my entree to go as it was disappointing. When I arrived at home it had a huge layer of grease accumulated on top, looked bacon grease. No no no. What happened to this place.
The service is extremely slow. We waited an hour and half for our entrees. The waitress mentioned refilling our water glasses, but 30 minutes elapsed and no refill. It was a Monday night and not busy at all. Only 4-5 other tables of patrons. We asked for our food to go just to be polite because we needed to leave to attend a concert at UTEP. Anyone else would have canceled the order, but my husband and I try to be very conscientious and kind. They were woefully understaffed. Very disappointing.
