Great local place for subs and sandwiches. These guys have the best spiedies in town! Also the BEST fries. Cash only place so just remember that before stopping, but a truly enjoyable experience. A local staple lof the area - this place has been in business for decades!

This is take-out only, with a staple food to our region...mmmm..speidies! And the best ones ever! When I was there last week, a man came in and said he had just driven here (upstate NY) from Texas and had to get Lupo's speidies. People from here know there's nothing like it...if you are visiting, you HAVE to try Lupo's for their delicious speidies. So good!

They have some of the best food compared to eateries with similar menus in the area, especially their speidis! They are very efficient, inexpensive and get you in and out the door very quickly with fresh, made-to-order hot food! They do not offer indoor dining due to the fact it's more of a small take out eatery. If it's a fair weather day,they do offer out door dining under a covered area with multiple picnic tables. It's a cash only business,so don't forget to visit the bank before you arrive! Eat at Lupo's Char Pit once and you'll def be back for more!

Great food, good prices. They do not take credit cards, cash only. This is always a stop when in the area for pork speidies. The "sandwich" is just the 6 inch sub instead of the 12 inch. Plenty of meat on these. Make sure to try this local specialty.

I lived in the area 40 years ago and miss Spiedies to this day. We were driving from Oklahoma to New Hampshire and went out of our way to stop in Endicott for Lupo’s Spiedies. The chicken Spiedies were spectacular and the pork Spiedies nuggets are now a favorite. The service was fantastic - the young lady was very personable and kind. Would highly recommend!

We travel 6hrs at least 2 times a year for Lupo's spiedies.. they are THE BEST!!! The employees however.. The Chef's food is worth it, but we call him Eyor(?) for a reason. And the students need better people skills.

Just looking at pictures I didn’t have high hopes, but chicken spiedie definitely doesn’t taste like anything I’ve experienced. The chicken is moist and has a tangy, vinegar-like flavor to it. I also prefer to add some veggies to the sandwich so it doesn’t taste too bland. Covered outside seating is another bonus.

Fries here are super good (better than the one on State St). Pizza burgers are a little small for the price but are REALLY good and worth it imo. Spiedie subs are consistently dope. Overall nice place little place for lunch & dinner.

Best spiedies ever! Service is minimal, but good. There is only an outside dining area during the nicer months, no indoor dining at all. Anyone stopping through the area must try it. All the locals know this is the place for chicken and pork spiedies, and has been for generations.

The best spiedies I've ever had. Its the birthplace of spiedies just like the anchor bar is to wings. Pork or chicken, they are flavorful, tender, very juicy. Excellent on a sub roll. Well worth it

Spiedies are the best and cheapest around for a 6 or 12" sub. The spiedies are always tender and taste great. They fill the rolls up and don't skimp on the serving. Service is always fast even when busy and staff is friendly. You can add many different toppings to your sub if you desire. Inside can get a little crowded and parking can be a challenge at times.

There's no other place to get spiedies than the birthplace of spiedies. Excellent every time. Pick up a couple bottles of their original marinade. It's better than the mass produced supermarket junk. U won't go wrong.

Lupo's is iconic in Broome County. I ordered 2 12-inch chicken spiedie subs with mayo, onions, and mushrooms . The subs were ready within 5 minutes. The 2 young girls working the counter were friendly and helpful. The subs had a ton of delicious, tender, marinated chicken on them, and the rolls were soft and fresh. If you are visiting the Triple Cities, it's an absolute requirement to eat spiedies, and Lupo's Charpit is definitely the best place to get them. Just don't expect to eat at Lupo's itself. It is a take out restaurant only.

Haven't been in Binghamton in atleast 20years. One of the places you HAVE to eat when in town is Lupo's. It's an institution! You come here for 1 thing, the spiedies... they have pork and chicken... get one of each.. the bread was excellent, the marinated meats are exactly as I remember. Juicy, very flavorful... brought back a lot of great memories eating here as a kid. It's a walk up window kinda place, with picnic tables under an awning... the onion rings are killer as well.. Come for the Spiedies... you won't find these anywhere else outside of the binghamron area, BUT you can go on Amazon and buy Lupos spiedie marinate, and that opens up all new options for you at home. It is cash only so please be conscious of that. The girls working the counter / register are very friendly and will walk you thru the menu items if you have questions

Mostly take out food. Specializes in Speedie marinated meat sandwiches. First rate quality food in my opinion. I frequently get a footlong pork sandwich when I'm hungry and close by!

The food here is just real. If you order a burger, for example, it tastes like you made it on your own grill, using basic ingredients. A burger and french fry meal from here is better than most of the places in the region. It is so hard to find real food anymore, and Lupo's stops the trend of using increasingly lower quality ingredients. They have been outstanding for decades.

Called to see if they would be open on July 4th. They were not. But one of our favorites. It is take out, so no atmosphere. In good weather they have a few tables outside. They have the best spiedies, I think they have other things, but we always get the spiedies. They take cash only, something to keep in mind if going there. Parking is adequate, people aren't there long as mainly take out.

This is a staple of the Endicott/Binghamton/Vestal area. Speedies should be it's own food group. These grab and go subs are a party favorite. Cash Only. Go early and go often. You won't be disappointed.

Everything is amazing. This is a great place to stop for lunch, even with a long line you won't wait more than a few minutes. 1 of my favorites is speedie nuggets, they are like chicken nuggets but with speedies. Make sure you bring cash as they are CASH ONLY.

I always get a speidie sub. Cash only came to $10. I get 2 meals. If I have time, I sit outside under a roof with picnic benches. No indoor seating.

Great food! Each order of 'shoestring' style fries (like McD's) are fried AFTER you order them! But often way too salty so I have to wipe salt off each fry before eating them 1 at a time (small price to pay for getting fries that are ALWAYS just-made). Nice outdoor seating area (but they only have outdoor seating). They do not take credit card. A quick peek at a Menu picture from a year ago looks like the very reasonable prices have not gone up since then. Place has a great "roadside" food counter, vibe.

I called ahead for our order and they had everything ready to prepare when I arrived. Fast & friendly service and the prices are surprisingly reasonable! Two footlong subs, two orders of fries & a chicken spiedie garden salad for less than $35. 😃

I love it so much! It is basically the same as I remember from when I was 8 years old (42 years ago) it tastes so good and it is so nostalgic. It's worth the 1100 mile drive for me from south Georgia.

Been here a half dozen times and can never remember what is better, the chicken or pork spiedie sub. So we get both... Turns out they are both good but the chicken is the better of the two. It's tender and packed full of spiedie flavor with some char on it as well. Absolutely delicious. Kids love the cheeseburgers and fries. Grab your food and sit at the picnic tables outside or we find a local park and have a picnic.

After getting their jumbo cheeseburger for $4.89 I would never again go to McDonald's for a $5.89 quarter pounder. Lupos made it medium rare, the meat tasted fresh, and the Keiser type roll put it over the top. The onion rings are excellent whole onion sliced and you get a lot.

Quaint walk up window type location. Our service was fast and friendly. The spiedes are top notch and on classic bread. We generally opt for the pork as they seem to match the flavor of the sauce better than the chicken. I would pass on the fried pierogis but that's not why you come here.

Local staple food at its finest. Really best eaten right away so spring and summer when there’s picnic tables available is the best way to get to eating right away.

The Chicken Spied was pretty good, with cheese and onion. Chicken was a bit dry though. They were quite busy and it didn't take more than 10 minutes to get my order.

A staple of the regional spiedie dish. I recommend the pork spiedie; the marinade sinks into the pork particularly well. Onion rings could definitely be better. Even one of their employees made an offhand remark about their lackluster quality that I don't think they meant a customer to hear.

Contrary to other reviews, service was ok. Was helped by a nice tatted up young lady that was friendly. She took my order and food was ready quickly. Chicken and cheese was delicious and onion rings were bangin. However the cheese steak left a lot to be desired. One of the few places to get food until 11pm.

First off the cashier was very friendly. I would like to start off saying the fries and the spiedie nuggets weren't bad. As far as the spiedie chicken sub, it was ok. It was our first visit so maybe adding some extra sauce would have been better because it was a little dry. I also ordered a pizza burger which wasn't too bad as well.

The food is not bad. The staff is friendly enough. It does feel a little cramped when your in there ordering or waiting for your order. Very small building so I just wait outside so I can keep a good distance between me and whoever else may be there.. I'm not exactly a social butterfly..

Recommend for the yummy food! Chicken speidies are tender and tasty, served on a delicious sub roll. Food is good but counter staff is not friendly.... they have signs up for 3 person limit.. entrance and exits clearly marked but some folks just walk in disregard the signs- get greeted with a smile and a laugh. Service is important, everyone should be treated politely!

Good food. Love there speadie pork nuggets. Their unique. Very tasty. Made sure you come before 5 because there is a rush around then and it becomes really busy. But worth the wait. Wish their fries were better. They get hard, quick.

We often eat at Lupo's for a quick hamburger. It's quick, delicious, and affordable. I love that everything is fresh and you have many choices to choose from. I like that you can put a lot on your hamburger, even mushrooms. Their cookies are great, too. I took a star off because I always order Jumbo Hamburger, but for some reason, they put cheese in it unless I specify "NO CHEESE". Though sometimes they don't get it right so I started checking my sandwich each time I get the order. So I was thinking... if I wanted a "CHEESEBURGER", I would have ordered a cheeseburger.

Not the same. Hate to say it but it's true. Stale bread, hot dogs not up to par, spiedies are just ok. Counter staff are ok, nit very talkative or engaging. God forbid you order a couple cheeseburgers and things, the one cook who's been there forever makes you feel like you committed a sin. Has even said "you should've called ahead with that order". Finally, cash only still? Why? That's just so inconvenient and not with the times.

After a long drive, I was looking forward to setting down to eat one of the regional specialty foods that I'd heard of. No dining room. No bathroom. Just a take-out shack. The food was delicious though. Chicken spiedie hero, fries, onion rings... Everything was on point.

Husband lives the original Lupos! Thier bites were very strong garlic, but he said great snack. Wouldn't recommend the burger at spiedie joint. His spiedie sandwich was marinated well and enjoyed.

I went cause I was told that this was the place to get spiedies. Food was good, the onion rings were the best part. 12 inch was a hearty sandwich, would have been fine with just the 6 inch. Food came out surprisingly fast.

Not only delicious, but friendly staff, clean outdoor seating area. Will definitely be back. The only reason I didn’t give this place five stars is because they don’t accept cards, so you have to come prepared with cash! This wasn’t an issue for me, but it maybe a hassle for others.

Great chicken spiedie. No one answered the phone at 4pm on a Saturday. When we arrived an employee was on their phone and there were no customers in the store. Cash only business but it said nothing on their website menu. Didn’t have enough cash to try their sides so we went to another restaurant on Main Street to round out our meals.

Chicken spiedies are always good. But, I asked for peppers and they just laid em in the bottom of the sub instead of taking a couple seconds to mix it up a little and was kinda of dry. Small little place so not much of an atmosphere. Workers are business only. Still enjoyed the sub tho, was made quickly. In and out

I come home to the Binghamton area from Chicago every 2-3 years. Lupo’ s is always one of my first stops. Unfortunately this trip might be my last. Species were dry as hell and whatever these new rolls are.. they are trash. The closing of Felix Roma Bakery is a major loss for the area. I never realized just how important those specific rolls were to a spiedie sub

Ordered an Italian sub. It came with one piece of ham and one piece of salami. The taste was good but what a ripoff. Cash only.

This is my second time coming here, the food is delicious. But I just went there 20 mins ago and got a sub and fries. While eating my sub I almost choked on a decent sized bone that was in one of the spiedies. Probably won’t come back.

The owner - John has seen me come in numerous times since I've been back visiting from Florida, and never even says hello, how you doing - nothing! He ALWAYS has a sour puss on his face and I've never seen him crack a smile or even acknowledge ANY of his patrons even one time. Hard to believe since he ONLY takes CASH at his business and more than likely NEVER pays even close to what he should in taxes. But he sure charges sales tax on every order though! He should be smiling ear to ear owning his "cash only" business...AND wearing a mask to boot!!

I have always loved the food. But recently we've had a very bad experience. The lady that was working the register rolled her eyes when we walked in at 9:30. She was on her phone the whole time and had a very bad attitude. We get home, and my boyfriend takes a bite of his burger, and it's not even cooked. It's raw. Very disgusted.

Amazing food, terrible staff. The woman that took my order had the facial expression of someone at a funeral service and the woman that took my $ was extremely rude. She shouted that cards are not accepted and glared at me while I dug out my cash. She didn't even hand me my food she just left it on the counter and walked away. The job isn't that difficult and if it makes them so miserable they should find employment elsewhere. As for me, food was yummy but due to service I will not be back.

I didn't write a review the first time my food was mediocre (at best). I figured I would give lupos another chance before doing so. The 2nd time was worse than the 1st. My steak sandwich was at least 50% fatty and very tough. I paid for extra toppings and none of them were in the sandwich. Frozen steak umms are a thousand times better than that steak sandwich. The Cole slaw tasted mostly like mayonnaise. And the fries were way over cooked. I wouldn't recommend them ever and I will never go there again. I spent around 30 bucks both times and wasn't even able to eat half of my meal each of those times.

This place use to be delicious but now the speedies both pork and chicken are pretty rubbery and crazy grease...no dr pepper but coke products is also dumb..and no more delicious sugar cookies super disappointing

Lifelong Lupo's fan. Today's pork spiedie sub was THE WORST I've ever had. It wasn't cooked fresh on arrival. Looked to be taken out of an oil filled cannister and slapped on a bun. It was overcooked and dry as a bone. What a terrible fall in quality and flavor. I may be done with Lupo's. So sad.

My review won’t make any difference they saw there was something wrong asked me. I told them the bun was completely saturated in grease told them soggy. They did not offer to replace the bar and I asked if I could get another bun and they told me no. I’ve never had this type of customer service here. Something’s different.

When I was just a kid on my bicycle I used to ride there and get hamburgers for a quarter each. The place is pretty much the same as then. Last night I ordered a chicken spiedie sub. Service was good, cash only($20.). Fries good, hot n crispy. Root beer was just as i remembered. But- Sub was So salty, it made me feel ill for hours later. Sorry to admit it, but there it is. I want to like that place, because it's one of the few restaurants that have been there forever. So many memories....But the chicken spiedie sub I was served was not edible. The spiedies were out of a bucket, dripping with oil, and too salty.

So rude they act like your your a problem showing up. And so sick on the cash thing. They have a card machine set up but will not let you use it.

This was always our go to for spieidies. Until today. I called and ordered 2 chicken spiedie subs and a large fry. They guy who took our order was rude. Picked up our order, drove home to find 2 burger subs and a small fry. I called and told them my husband was on his way back with our incorrect order. He said he would make things right, my husband arrived at the restaurant and they had no idea what he was talking about, he stood there and had to wait while they made the spiedies, they never addressed the incorrect fries.Now, we have a cold small fry to eat with our spiedies that we ordered at noon, it is now 12:50. Rude staff and obviously poor communication and a waste of our gas to fix their mistake. Sorry, I will go to Spiedie and Rib Pit.

Long time for them to take my order. Three other people ordered after me. I was last to get my food waiting on a burger for my wife. "Lol" burger was small as a silver dollar. Fries were old and cold. My chicken spedie sub was hardly warm. It was the worst time I've ever had at this restaurant in the 30 year that I have been going there. We would go there once every other week. But now rethinking that move. Sorry but that was the worst service I have ever had.

Horrible experience the girl who rang us up and took order was absolutely miserable and I'm pretty sure she burned my spiedie nuggets to a crisp on purpose gave quite the attitude when we placed order to begin with. Won't be returning

I rarely comment on these things but appears to be lazy poor service. I’ve called 2 times to place a take out order. 1st time no answer to phone. 2nd time told I need to call 24 hrs in advance for and order of 5 lbs of cooked chicken. Wow didn’t know it was that hard until they told me the grills were off. I called for an 8 pm pick up. Store listed as open until 11. Last time I call them. Must not like $

Stopped here for lunch and my girlfriend wanted her speedies on a round roll instead of the sub roll because that’s her preference that being said they sell both these rolls however when asked if she could get her speedies like this, the cashier cops quite a little attitude, however, that being said she said it was fine to get her speedies like that Then out of nowhere this guy who I’m assuming is the owner chimes in from the back and denies us the sandwich on that type of roll and says we’re not doing that because that’s not how I sell them , was it really that big of a deal to change the kind of roll the Speedies are on Like for real? was it really that difficult hasn’t this man ever heard of the customers always right? Not even that, it’s just a roll, but the level of disrespect that we just felt in there, we will never be going back there again. So we just want to thank the owner for going above and beyond to present us with horrible service, well done sir 👍👍!!!!

Ordered a pork speidie sub with mushrooms and provolone cheese plus a regular fry. Got home and sub had no mushrooms or provolone and the fries were like potatoe sticks! I went back and they exchanged everything. Got back home, fries were still way over cooked which I couldn't understand because it usually takes a few minutes to cook them but they were done in an instant? Did they pre cook the fries, I think so and the sub did have provolone and mushrooms but the speidies were WAY overcooked. So whomever was working that night must have decided to "PRE-COOK" everything then re-warm it. I usually go there because they USED TO have the best fries.( you can get a good speidie sub just about anywhere) but good fries are hard to find and Lupos Endwell used to have the best fries in town. Oh yeah, the speidies were way overcooked as well I'll give them one more chance!!!

The workers at the front counter are not very personable and seemed only concerned about business. It would be nice if they could take a moment to smile and welcome the customers. The place is old, dirty, and needs major renovation inside and out. The waiting area is hot and needs air conditioning. The outside area needs to be cleaned and beautified. Maybe some flowers and paint would help. 7/27/ 2023, Today, I went back, and the Asian girl that works there was not friendly and threw the bag of fries on the counter towards me. OMG! Such bad manners! I mean really! Why I never in all my life had a service worker treat a customer in that manner. I will not go back no matter how good the food is! I am going to spread the word of how rude the workers are here. I was insulted.

All I got to say about this place Yes they do make good food but the people that work there are amateurs and take forever to get your food out to you to the point I bought two subs the other day or 6 in and 12-in by the time I got them they were ice cold I don't like talking bad on restaurants or people but they need up their game just a little bit cuz it is a good place to get really good speedies I just wish I had my food a little quicker that's all and the onion rings hard as a rock.

Death of an Icon.Without Johnny and Felix Roma bread. This place has lost in charm. I ordered 2 chicken speide subs. Pure grease the new rolls melt in the grease not cut, they fell apart. I took them back the new Lupo gave me the finger. I got my money back. He told me never to come back. I WON’T. I recommend you don’t either.

I have been coming here at least 2 times a week for the last 8 years, my last experience here will be my last. I ordered 2 spiedie subs and they were both completely cold and when I went back they refused to heat it up. Not to mention they were insanely rude. I’ll take my years of business to Spiedie & Rib Pit instead.

The bread rolls were very stale and more crunch... especially on the ends from a sub we just got. Not fresh at all.

For the third time, I have arrived nearly two hours before closing and been told that the fryers were already shut down, despite the restaurant still being open. Most recently, this happened on Saturday, 01/10 at approximately 8:50 PM, when I was refused the ability to order anything from the fryer even though you are open until 10:30 PM. This has happened to me multiple times, sometimes even earlier in the evening. During this visit, I specifically asked whether the fryers are supposed to remain open until closing time. I was told yes, but no resolution was offered, and the staff still refused to prepare fryer items. I completely understand the need for closing procedures, but if fryer items are not available well before posted closing hours, that should be clearly communicated to customers. Otherwise, it’s frustrating to arrive during normal operating hours and be unable to order a significant portion of the menu. I’m sharing this because I genuinely enjoy your food, but this repeated experience has been disappointing and inconsistent. I’d appreciate clarification on your actual fryer policy and how this can be avoided in the future.

Lupos has definitely gone down hill since the business changed ownership. The quality of the food is not the same. Raw burger with grease soaked bun and soggy lettuce that looked like it was cut last week. We have tried it a few different times and have been disappointed every time. We will not be returning.
