What a delightful evening! The ambiance is beautiful. Our server Allen was very friendly and attentive! The head chef even came out to our table to say hello. The chicken ballotine was wonderful!

AMAZING! The Hope Farm is a beautiful establishment that my family loved! We got recommended this restaurant by the brother of the owner and we knew we had to go. The exterior is beautiful and the seating is spectacular inside and outside. The outside area is also a wonderful place to relax and take a nice walk. The food was absolutely divine from appetizers to dessert. We loved the Warm Mushroom Salad, the HF Burger, and the Chocolate Tart. I love the idea of the farm to table food and everything that was homegrown was splendid. The customer service was top tier, and our waiter did a wonderful job and gave us many great recommendations. I would recommend The Hope Farm to anyone who lives in the area or is planning to travel to Alabama.

Our first time to The Hope Farm, we made a reservation for a late dinner. Upon arriving early to the restaurant, we were seated. Everything from the service, to drinks and food were phenomenal. Our server was so kind and helpful in making menu selections. And the CHEESECAKE! Oh my word, that cheesecake. The Hope Farm is a must try! Beautiful atmosphere with a culinary experience you won’t soon forget!

Absolutely the best host site. Servers and cooks were the best and they always have an ever changing wine and food menu.

You can take the girl out of Kentucky but you can’t take the Kentucky out of the girl even when she’s in Alabama! Honestly, these juleps are better than the ones I’ve had in my hometown, “the derby city” and the food is here at Hope Farm is really incredible!!! The perfect place for a rehearsal dinner!

When going near Fairhope my wife and I make a point to stop in at The Hope Farm. This time, we got to enjoy brunch there with friends and it did not disappoint. As you can see from the photos our food was incredible and delicious. That was only our first course! The Philips Head drink was very tasty and their twist on a screwdriver. Favorite thing was the BBQ shrimp and grits. Afterwards we walked next door to the barn for a healthy cookie and some espresso.

Incredible on every level! The owners are so personable and did an impeccable job putting this gorgeous place together. Every detail from the food (mostly grown on site), wine list, specialty cocktails, live music, and atmosphere (architecture, firepits, string lights, decor) to service and comfort is absolute perfection. If there were more stars to give, I would. This is my new favorite place to go with a group of friends, my family, or a date.

Beautiful place for a fancy dinner. They have a wonderful outdoor idea that has the perfect vibe for all occasions and they even have live music often in the evening. The main menu is a bit pricy but definitely high quality food! The waiters are very observant and friendly! It’s a great place to come for just some appetizers and cocktails and enjoy a nice evening with family and friends. They have couches and fireplaces as well to make it even cozier outside

Everyone here was so friendly and attentive. There was not a glass left empty or a dirty dish left in front of me. Not to mention, the food and drinks were delicious. On the more pricy side but definitely worth the food and experience.

Hope Farm was overall a great dining experience, the food is excellent, the wait staff is professional and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant. We tried several of the smaller items, the pomme frites which are excellent as as the hope salad which was good. The craft cocktails were very enjoyable as well, the hurricane lanes weren’t overly sweet and had great flavor. For the main dishes we went with the hanger steak and the tenderloin, of the two I would certainly recommend the hanger. The tenderloin was good, but the flavors in the hanger were just so much better. For dessert the flourless chocolate cake is a must-try, it’s rich and creamy and very filling. The only detractor for the evening was that we were unfortunately seated next to two larg groups of 10+ people at each table. This meant the room was incredibly loud for most of the evening, and the young child behind us was listening to something loud on his mother’s phone. So while the food was great, we couldn’t have much of a conversation until it was almost time to leave. If we return I’ll likely request either The Barn or perhaps an outdoor seat as the indoor seating on the Hope Farm restaurant end is just so loud.

Love this place, atmosphere is second to none food is really good, this is not a place to come and get full. Small plates lots of taste lots of flavors very casual and relaxing environment. The menu changes often because of the ingredients available, this is sort of a farm to table situation, they grow the vegetables on site so most of the vegetables are fresh from the garden to the kitchen. The food is seasonal based on what's available so expect a nice paper menu that seems to be printed based on what's available often

How this place isn’t dripping with only 5 star reviews is beyond me. Hope Farm was the most incredible farm to table experience I’ve ever encountered. The property is absolutely stunning and has such a cozy ambiance by the fire pit, especially at night time - Amazing live music outdoors, unparalleled customer service, and the most insanely fresh food. Everything was delightful. P.S. BEGGING you to open a location in Atlanta 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hope Farm isn't just dinner. It's an experience. The property is beautiful. We ate outside while listening to live music. The service was exceptional. Our waitress, Jada was attentive and friendly. The food was fresh and amazing. Even the drinks are impressive. Make your reservation and get ready to be wowed.

The Hope Farm is a fantastic dining spot! The short rib was absolutely amazing—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The chicken was also excellent, showcasing great flavor and preparation. They even offer delicious off-menu options for kids, which is a thoughtful touch. The outdoor patio is a standout feature, providing the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing and enjoyable time. Whether you're dining with family or friends, The Hope Farm delivers an exceptional experience all around.

It is an impressive dining experience in Fairhope at The Hope Farm, which is an impressive venue in itself. Incredible "Shareables" dishes of Burrata, Mushroom Toast, and Kennebec Potato Gnocchi (my favorite). Also, the wine list is superior to others in the area. The Tenderloin with caciocavallo tortelloni and mushrooms was also exceptional. And finally, the XO flourless chocolate cake was a marvelous finish!

Really enjoyed my lunch with my granddaughter at The Hope Farm located in Fairhope. It’s a little tucked away place. Our server Bradley was awesome and so graceful in her service to us. I had the Local Chicken Sando with salad and my granddaughter had the Wagyu Burger with fries. The drinks were refreshing and great. Everything was absolutely seasoned perfectly and we enjoyed a lovely afternoon! I would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a nice lunch/ brunch spot.

Beautifully simple design. The outdoor space is breathtaking! Wonderful location for an event! Fantastic cocktails and wine list! The food was out of this world. We had murder point oysters, raw and charbroiled, burgers, shrimp and grits. Everything was fresh and delicious!

Talk about finding an oasis in the middle of the city, Hope Farm is just magical. The property is absolutely gorgeous, it was tranquil and I truly felt transported to the Country. The menu for lunch had so many choices but I settled on the ceviche because I wanted something light. The shrimp were plump and juicy and although there were jalapenos in the mix it was not spicy (I ordered extra jalapenos and it was perfect for me) The tortilla chips were light and still warm but they just didn't give enough with the meal. I love matcha tea and I ordered the latte and it was divine, I had never had one before. I live in Pensacola and was visiting Fairhope for my birthday and I'm soo glad I found The Hope Farm, I can't wait to return for dinner one day soon. 😋

Very cool place in a cute town. Stopped by on the way home to New Orleans driving the I-10. Heard great things about Hope Farm and was not disappointed. They are a farm to plate restaurant and grow many (all?) of the the produce on site. Drinks were the start of a great meal. We weren't super hungry so shared a few small plates and split a main course. Everything was delicious.

This delightfully fresh and upscale eatery is well worth your time and attention! The ambience is casual but elegant with the decor in a lighter color palate and a somewhat French Country feel. The menus are original and fun with well-organized food and beverage categories. Enjoy the extensive wine bar and the superb farm to table cuisine, much of which is grown on property. There is also an extensive selection of beers and “ Garden to Glass” cocktails. You can eat in elegance inside or al fresco. Enjoy small plates, salads, delicious locally-inspired appetizers and superb main courses including chicken, beef, or fish. Don’t forget the mouth-watering dessert choices. All in all, you will love spending an evening in this lovely locale!

We went to see Zack Chavers sing and grabbed dinner with family and friends. Morgan was amazing, making sure we had a table where we wanted, grabbing heaters to put near us and being there when we needed him. Red snapper, oxtail lasagna, braised short ribs, and squash ravioli with lots of farm to table fresh add-ons were enjoyed by all. This was our second visit and it is a wonderful special place!

Incredible food, service and atmosphere! This was my first farm to table menu experience. If you are looking for a fantastic farm to table place to eat, this is the place to be in Fairhope! The service is top notch and the food never disappoints, however it does change. Swlect from either indoor or outdoor seating. There's a schedule for have live music events and a separate area for private parties. Beautiful decor inside and out. Highly recommend.

The food was fantastic. I had the ribeye and it was both tender and flavorful. The service was a little slow but that gave us time to enjoy the atmosphere. The setting was beautiful and very well designed for individual dining to larger reserved parties. Speaking of reservations, make one. If you try walking in on a weekend, you may be disappointed.

We had our rehearsal dinner & wedding here in Sept 2024 & enjoyed every moment! The service was phenomenal, the space is gorgeous & the food both nights was so delicious! I highly recommend having your event at The Hope Farm.

The overall experience was fantastic. Waitstaff and management were engaging without being intrusive. Food presentation was creative and wine service was done well. Started off with an amuse which would have been better off skipped. A slice of cucumber with a bit ricotta. Appetizers were good. Duck & Peaches and the Crawfish boil ravioli were great. The jalapeño on the duck overpowered the dish, it was very good. Nice salty and sweet balance. Main courses were both outstanding, ribeye was cooked to perfection and the pork chop was very tender. I had the chimichuri sauce with the ribeye and it was excellent. Vibrant and fresh. The fried okra side was poorly executed. Had it been done correctly it would have been excellent. However it was fried in a big blob. The desserts were both fantastic. Against my better judgment I ordered the deconstructed key lime pie. It was perfect. Light and tart. My wife had the baked Alaska Spumoni that was torched table side. Beautiful presentation and great taste. They also had wine pairings with the desserts that perfectly complimented. We will definitely go back and also check out some of the wine classes that they offer.

First time dining here and it was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and the mushroom toast is top notch. The cocktail menu is fantastic and the farm+field cocktail with the lavender foam was one of the best I’ve ever had. The pork chop is one of the best items on the menu. Our server Greg was also fantastic. It was a slow evening, so he took us on a mini tour and showed us where the restaurant grows its mushrooms and hydroponic lettuce. It was a super cool experience to see where the food we ate was grown and harvested on site! Thank you so much Greg for the wonderful dining experience!

Great farm to table dining! Indoor and outdoor seating (including covered areas). Reservations (in advance) are a must! Some brunch, lunch, and dinner options. Frequent live entertainment. Thoughtfully prepared dishes from from rustic and hearty to some refined and elegant. New chef with some newly added seasonal options to come! Service is usually (good to) excellent. Cold glass bottles of water brought to each table and a wide beverage selection available. Table distance provides some privacy for your meal (not overly compacted use of space). Price point slightly on the higher side but you can find reasonable options for the food portion and quality. Overall, very good options especially for special occasions and memorable treats! Our evening at The Hope Farm was truly special; an experience made even more memorable by the way Morgan, our server, and the owner, Robert Evans, treated us. At one point during the night, there was a small misunderstanding that left us feeling a bit overlooked. It wasn’t anything major, and honestly, it could have easily gone unaddressed. But instead, Robert made the effort to personally connect with us. His approach was genuine, thoughtful, and emotionally intelligent — he sought not just to smooth things over, but to truly understand. It was clear that he cared about how we were feeling, and his kindness turned what could have been a small blemish into one of the most memorable parts of the evening. His warmth and sincerity left a lasting impression. Beyond that, everything about The Hope Farm was a delight. The food was inventive and delicious, each plate clearly crafted with care and creativity. Morgan delivered exceptional service throughout the night. He was attentive, friendly, and well-paced, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine hospitality. Robert Evans and his team have created a place where not just the food, but the people and the atmosphere, make you feel cared for. We left with full hearts, full plates, and a deep appreciation for a restaurant that truly understands what hospitality means.

We were delighted to stumble upon this gem! In town for a get away and this was gorgeous! I felt like I was on swept away to a vineyard type atmosphere but close to town. Cannot recommend this place enough! Would be a gorgeous event space for any occasion. The food was excellent and I’m such a foodie, very impressed.

Fantastic dining experience! I sat at the bar and Ian was terrific! The squash ravioli was the perfect starter, the pasta was fresh, the filling was light with the brown butter and pork jowl adding the perfect compliment and texture to the dish. These are brussel sprouts you’ll ask for again.. excellently cooked and the proper timing to the Braised Beef short ribs entree. What an entree it was, fork tender, bursting with flavor on top of some of the best grits you’ll ever have.. the peanuts are not lost in it, certainly a menu transcendent dish! The XO cake was extremely light, with the right amount of sweet, paired very well with the espresso. Saving the absolute best for last and the Harvest Baked Alaska, tastes better than it shows and presents! It was an incredible dessert.. light, rich, everything you want in a dessert. Thank you all for an unforgettable culinary experience! Keep up the great work

The restaurant is really classy and has a nice ambience, both inside and outside. The servers and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The homemade pop tart was really fun! My wife got the short rib hash and I got the chicken and pancake, both were flavorful and well-portioned. I finished off the meal with one of their lattes which was so good. I’d love to visit again the next time I’m in town.

There was indoor and outdoor dining at its finest! The food was cooked perfectly and served beautifully! After lunch, we were invited to tour the gardens on property where they grow their herbs and vegetables. We were also allowed to tour the wine cellar. The outdoor dining was absolutely fabulous, if one didn't know any better, you would not realize that you're eating outside.

We went there for Brunch on Sunday. We didn’t have reservation but they were able to seat us quickly as it wasn’t too busy yet. We have been to The Barn and thought of going there but we wanted to more selection of food so we decided to come to this side. I was happy we did! Everything on menu looked so great and it took us a while to decide. We got the Wagyu smashed burger and brisket French dip and mine was some type of egg dish which I thought it was very good with tortilla chips. We would love to try it at dinner time one day.

We made the two hour trip from Florida to visit Farihope, AL for our three year wedding anniversary. The Hope Farm was worth a two hour trip alone. This restaurant is intentional and exceptional. The farm-to-table vibes make the experience personal and delicious. The wait staff was patient even on a robust Saturday evening. I only wish we had more time to try their other menus for weekday and brunch. If you find yourself near the gulf in Alabama, please visit The Hope Farm. You won’t be disappointed. Recommendations: Short ribs, Squash ravioli, pumpkin spice latte bread pudding and their version of the French 75.

My husband and I visited here for our anniversary for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was phenomenal and it had a great vibe. Prices were a little on the high side but you’re definitely getting quality food. I love that they use a lot of locally sourced ingredients. Also it was really neat that the kitchen is open and you can see in. We got to see them making croissants. 🥐 Thanks for a great time!

A really nice food and hospitality experience overall. Creative and fresh. The cocktails are delicious, the food is amazing. The service that we enjoyed at dinner and then at brunch were exceptional. And then I asked the pastry chef to give us a little behind the scenes look at the garden, really topped things off. The attention to detail in the buildings and grounds and even the plates and bowls, did not go unnoticed.

The Hope Farm in Fairhope, Alabama is home to a group of culinary geniuses who are truly God-sent. Every chef there brings a unique flair, guaranteed to wow your palate with every bite. They serve the kind of food that makes you want to do a little dance with every breath. The food tastes like the best dream you’ve ever had. The last time I had a breakfast this good, I was in Paris, France at the famous Angelina’s (est. 1903). I travel the world to discover rich history through delicious meals, and let me tell you—the Hope Farm in Alabama does it better. It’s a culinary phenomenon. They even grow their own ingredients through hydroponics and traditional farming. What more could any of us ask for? This is elevated farm-to-table done right, hitting all the perfect high notes on every plate. Let’s start with the fact that I absolutely hate grits in every shape or form. I wanted to put them to the test by ordering a simple breakfast from The Barn, which came with a bowl of Gouda grits. My word—they made a believer out of me. I cleaned my plate. I devoured their cozy, warm, perfectly made Gouda grits to my surprise. Every bite of their scrambled eggs tasted like paradise. I drove an hour today just because I can’t get enough of their sourdough. I’ve had sourdough in the south of France, Italy, Iceland, Greece, and Switzerland—and I still dream about theirs at night. Their French toast sticks are made from a sinful homemade bread and recipe, with the perfect balance of crunch, cinnamon swirl, and buttery goodness. The only way not to finish your plate there is not to order it. No amount of self-discipline can help you. The bacon was perfect, and they make their own homemade preserves. Their pastries are outstanding. Save yourself a trip to Europe and just drive to Fairhope, Alabama to discover a world where prestige, honor, and food glory meet warm, intricate Southern flavors. Everything I’ve ever ordered for breakfast has exceeded my expectations—and I am a talented private chef. I’ve also had their breakfast flatbread, Eggs Benedict made to perfection and served with perfectly seasoned collard greens, and their burger. If there were a way to give a restaurant 25 stars 🤩, I absolutely would. I’ll be a customer for life. A big shout-out to Jake for the best customer service, and to Logan on the Barn side for helping me discover their sister restaurant, Little Bird, located downtown by the square. I had their tuna tacos two weeks ago, and they tasted like butter—which is how you know the seafood quality is top grade. Keep an eye out for my review dropping soon. Your favorite chef from the Golden Pineapple,
Chef

My wife and I came in for brunch and it was delicious. My wife and I started off with the biscuit board for our appetizer, and then for the main course I had the birria bowl and she had the Belgian waffle and all the food was fantastic. Hosted a private cocktail hour and dinner at the Hope Farm (Back 40 & The Barn) for a group of about 40. The drinks were expertly crafted, the food was delicious, and the team's service was truly unmatched. We are from out of town, but will be back!

This was our second visit to The Hope Farm and it was just as amazing as the first. We have two kiddos 5&6 and they eat just about anything. They loved the charcuterie and the mocktails, they also enjoyed the ravioli and burrata with roasted strawberries. I believe they now have a kids menu, which we didn’t explore, but it’s a great addition. Compared to our last visit there were more kids dining there. Last time my kiddos were the only ones. The cocktails were delicious and balanced. The wine selection was fantastic. We love that tho s has been our tradition to the start of our beach vacation always worth the detour and we look forward to it for weeks.

If you go, try to sit outside. They have fans in the summer and heaters in the winter. The outside has wonderful ambience, and I have not ever had an inattentive server, most who have been there quite a while. The inside, while beautiful, can be a bit noisy when it's crowded. Yes, the food is pricey, and no, the servings are not as large as most restaurants will serve, but, you cannot go wrong with any dish on the menu. I always take advantage of the seasonal salad they offer and the oysters are hands down some of the best I've ever had. And local.

T
Trenton Diles

This is our new favorite restaurant! Totally my style from the food to the specialty cocktails to the atmosphere. I’m not a fan of brussel sprouts but my wife is so we try them everywhere we go and these were the best I’ve ever tasted hands down it’s not even close! I had the Short rib dish for dinner which was excellent and the cinnamon roll cheesecake for dessert was perfection. We’re looking forward to coming back for brunch, lunch and dinner again!

Jan 30 2026 - 12:30 pm. Our server was Emily, and we sat at table B 20. We're in town visiting from Canada, and this was our second visit to Hope Farm, the first experience was excellent, so we decided to return. We had the "Gatherer Salad" with grilled shrimp, and the chicken pot pie with a 1/2 size Caesar salad. It was a warm Friday afternoon, and the restaurant was busy. We were seated immediately, but waited 5 or so minutes before anyone came over to take our drink orders. We had a glass of the Moscato wine, and a cider, both were great. The food was excellent, just like the first time we visited. The only critique was we ordered dressing for both the Caesar salad and the Gatherer Salad "on the side". They got it right with the Caesar, but not with the Gatherer. We didn't bother mentioning it to our server as she was trying really hard to please us. I did however have to ask twice for my Caesar salad after ordering it, so three times in total. The Caesar salad ended up coming out AFTER my chicken pot pie. Not a huge deal, but salads should be served BEFORE the entree, especially in a restaurant of this caliber and cost. Overall a positive experience, and we will return before heading back to the Canadian tundra.

Was there for Valentines with my husband 🥰 WONDERFUL experience. Loud and crowded but I know it was only because of the holiday, we’d like to come back again. The food was top notch. Well worth the price. I’ve seen reviews here and there saying otherwise and I have to wonder if we even ate at the same place. Our waitress, Kelcey, was so kind and attentive. The girl who brought our food was too! I didn’t think to ask her name but she had a tattoo on her hand. Other employees would help with the tables which I thought was very nice. I wish I could have gotten everyone’s names! Everyone at Hope Farm deserves 5 stars!

Great food! I was impressed with everything I tried. Now, you are paying an upscale price for upscale food. I had the Steak Frites. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything accompanying the steak was tasty. I also tried the XO Cake for dessert. I assumed after everything thus far had been great, this would knock my socks off. It was good, not great. Nothing against the dessert, it just wasn't memorable. I went on what had to be the coldest morning this year, so sitting near an exit was occasionally uncomfortable. But nothing unbearable. Overall, awesome food! I will be back for dinner!!

We got a nice light brunch for my birthday and it was amazing! There were quite a few people there but our food came out quickly and our waitress was very attentive. Also, they came out and brought us little treats to sample before we ordered. The only complaint I have is the hostess asking us to leave while we were waiting to pay the bill because there would be another reservation coming to our table. It would have been nice to know when we needed to leave upon arrival. Make sure to make a reservation if you can!

This is a good restaurant with good food and drinks. The mushroom toast, brunch burger and other brunch foods like quiche were so good. The drinks were all tasty also. We did feel bad that one person at our table waited an extra 15 minutes for her brunch bowl. Server did apologize for delay.

I made reservations for Mother’s Day and I am so glad I did. From the shrimp toast to the Quiche Lorraine, everything I ate was succulent and flavorful. Considering the quality and presentation of food the price is very reasonable. The ambiance was so warm and welcoming. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Great atmosphere with fresh farm to table dishes. The owner was very accommodating and got us a table inside as it was windy outside even though we had initially requested outside seating. The only reason for a 4 star is due to the steak temperature being wrong. However, they were very quick to prepare another steak and served a complimentary soup while it was redone. Loved the dessert! Must visit if you are in Mobile area.

Hubby and I went to Hope Farm for dinner about 10 days ago. We started with the root beer old fashioned and the mushroom toast. Not big on sweet cocktails, and this one isn't too sweet, but is definitely enjoyable and interesting. Mushroom toast is really yummy. We shared the beef short ribs and ended with the flourless cake. Glad we split the entree as it was plenty of food. We also ordered a glass of wine. Beef ribs are melt- in-your-mouth. Flourless cake is divine. The only reason I would not give an overall five star rating, is the service. For a restaurant that has invested so heavily in the wine list, they really should provide a sommelier-like server, which we didn't experience. So if you go, and intend to order wine, do your research first. Other than that, we will definitely be going back again as the food is top notch and the atmosphere is really classy.

The food was very good! The amuse bouche was deviled egg with bacon. For the entree I had the crawfish Benedict which was absolutely amazing. The sausage and crawfish were very good. Also had the rosemary orange iced latte which was amazing. One con was that the service was very slow. The bartender was also our waiter so it took a very long time for him to check on us and we waited over 15 minutes for him to bring our check after we asked for it.

Great service. Our server was so attentive and thought ahead to make sure we enjoyed our dinner. Very nice place. Mocktails were fresh and delicious. The fries that came with the burger were the best thing I had!

Huge place, gorgeous, delicious but very pricey. Wine, food, and tip (well deserved tip) approached $400. Super beautiful space. I don't think the value to dollar is a great match but the restaurant industry is tough. I'd treat this as a special occasion place.

The food was very delicious, and our server was pleasant and attentive. Unfortunately, without an explanation (or apology), a manager took away a space heater and moved it to a table that was vacant and remained vacant the time we were there. It had become too cold for us and my 82-year-old mother, so we were forced to leave without ordering a dessert.

Food is always amazing! Wonderful cocktails Lavish courtyard I only wish the servers were friendly Thankfully, for my son’s birthday dinner, the server was wonderful On 27 September, our server was less than engaging and didn’t offer dessert or after dinner drinks My birthday brunch was saved by the yummy dishes with beautiful presentation The server was the part that I would like to forget

The architecture is fantastic, lots of atmosphere especially at night. The food we experienced was a little disappointing. Knowing they grow their own mushrooms, we ordered the mushroom salad expecting a salad featuring a variety of mushrooms with a few greens tossed on top. It arrived in a very large bowl of baby spinach with some minced ordinary mushrooms mixed with the vinaigrette dressing. I ordered the flatbread with very thinly sliced beef tenderloin, which was hidden under the thick layer of mozzarella cheese and therefore hardly noticeable. It was ok, but also not what I would expect at this fine dining establishment. My husband had the scallops, garnished with minced pickled vegetables and a small unidentifiable leaf in a spicy Mayo sauce. Overall, not a winning combination. We came away loving the architecture but thought the food did not measure up to what one expects from a high end establishment such as this.

High hopes and excitement for dinner with Hope Farm. Server was very knowledgeable and delightful. However, we were ignored by having empty water glasses when desperately needed. She was very busy with outdoor seating and we were indoor. Indoor was noisy and open…. As in a barn. Not intimate dining as I anticipated. My bad. Seasonal food choice was just not in my favor nor my palate. When a dish or server says slightly ‘spicy’, BELIEVE them. Again, my bad. The flight of Pinot noir was presented, explained and well worth it!!!! Highly recommend. I’ll certainly be more diligent next time making reservations to make sure their seasonal dishes are more inline with mine.

Came here with my husband for our two year wedding anniversary, service was great, drinks were great. Got the short ribs after inquiring to the waitress specifically asking if they were fatty or not, I had never had short ribs before and I’m not a fan of a fatty texture. She assured me they were not. First two bites I had to spit out and put in my napkin bc it was just straight globs of fat. But the rest was ok. I just wish I would have been told the truth about the cut of meat, I could have ordered something else. We also paid 20$ for a baked Alaska that just tasted like straight alcohol. I think It was not flambé quite long enough. She put it out after only being lit for a couple seconds. The black is from the torch used just on the top at the end, not the flambé, so it didn’t burn up the alcohol. I just ate the inside where the brownie was but even that wasn’t the best. I Was a bit disappointed, we spent a good chunk of money to have a special anniversary. I really hate face to face complaints so I chose to stay silent. Usually everything is on point here.

I want to be objective but it’s difficult when you spend $125 and I only had soup as my entree. The ambiance deserves 5 stars. A beautiful space. But this star review is for food. We interacted with our server and she was delightful and professional. However, she was not the person to bring out dishes to table. Another girl brought them out and she was less than friendly and she was awkward bringing dishes and sort of plopped our respective dishes on the table and walked away… Bartender did not know how to make a bar made ginger ale. Unfiltered tap water served at table. Had to send the stuffed redfish back because it was overly spiced beyond expectation. Roasted half chicken was more blacken than roasted. Raw slices of beets in the dish, very odd combination. Artistically appealing, but the taste was off. Overwhelming taste of lime and too salty. A total disappointment was the bone marrow. My husband has had many many times and loves bone marrow when it’s offered. There was not even enough marrow for one small piece of bread (which was not fresh, sort of stale and stiff, not toasted). Mushrooms were placed atop the split bone which concealed how little marrow there was for $21. The mussels were the dish we preferred but they were doused with a very healthy amount of raw jalapeños on top. Why??? The Farm Salad was not presented as described. It was not baby romaine. It was whole fully grown romaine leaves, sort of deconstructed, which made it messy to eat. Once again, the dressing was overpowered with chili flavor. Every dish we had was overly spiced! Just not sure what the draw is at this restaurant. We saw a couple with just a charcuterie board as their meal, this perhaps is the best idea. Very strange dessert menu and neither of us could connect the flavors in our minds from the descriptions. We had just spent over a week in Houston (a food lovers town) dining at all our favorites (from Cultivated F&B at The Lancaster downtown to Taste of Texas and everything in between). So perhaps we’re being too judgmental…. Had high hopes for this establishment as we travel between Florida and Texas often and always stay in Fairhope, AL (darling town by the way). The Hope Farm gives the impression of a five star dining experience, which it charges for but doesn’t deliver in every aspect.

Ambiance 4:5 The music was loud enough to make one speak up for normal conversation. Otherwise pleasant enough interior and grounds. A walk through their Herb garden is very aromatic and nice. Food 4.5:5 Could've been a 5:5 but the rice in my Birria Bowl was a bit gummy. Best cheesy grits I've ever put in my mouth, simply superb. Service 3:5 Finished dinnerware left on table for extended time. Server never brought our appetizers. I gave him the whole meal too figure it out, nope. Unforgivable. Finally informed him when time for the check. He apologized, but didn't even attempt to right it except to ask if we wanted it brought out. No hostess follow up on the complaint either, no comping a beer maybe. Nothing. That rightfully cost him his tip. We will give them another try, with another member of the waitstaff hopefully.

Awesome venue, drinks were phenomenal, atmosphere and service was great. Only gripe was the food. We ordered the ham crocet and gnocchi for apps, and the burger and short ribs for main. Crochet, gnocchi, and burger were pretty good! However, the short rib was way too salty.Thought I was eating the ocean. With a price point of 36$, it was sadly disappointing. Also, the portion size was not favorable. I understand it’s farm to table, but the portion size was fine dining level, and did not do justice to the price paid. Overall, paid 150$ including tip, will be returning for drinks and coffee, but not the food. The host wasn’t that warm and inviting either. However, our server was fantastic.

I’ll start with the food. The Brussel sprouts were 5 stars as was the pork belly. The French onion soup (we ordered 3) was ok at best. Now for the entree’s. The ravioli was ehhhh. The Tomahawk pork chop was amazing. I highly recommend it if you go. The hangar steak was way under cooked, under seasoned and it was listed as having mushrooms and squash but when it came out, it had neither. The servers were very nice. However we ordered 3 French onion soups, one of which was requested to have no bread. Only 2 came out and one didn’t have any cheese along with no bread. Our drink order was incorrect twice and the hangar steak was ordered medium well and it came out rare. It was sent back and came back raw again. The waitress then said “well it’s a red steak”. We’ve had hangar steak many times. We are in our 40s. Never have I been told a rare steak was “a red steak”. The restaurant was beautiful, some food was amazing and some not so much. The service was ok at best. Could be a bad night. It’s a place I’d give a second chance to.

We had our wedding here in late May and we wanted to love it, even choosing this venue over a waterfront venue, which was our original idea. However there were some serious lapses in the service that left us feeling very overwhelmed during our wedding day and we are trying not to look back on it and remember the regrets. Some of the issues: -The florals were not put out. We actually hand-made floral arrangements from peonies and roses and dropped them off the night before to be set out during the reception. However these were not set out and my husband had to ask for them to be placed on the tables about 1 hour into the reception. Only after my uncle decided to take matters into his own hands and start setting things up did the staff decide to put some of the decorations out. Many decorations weren’t ever set out, including custom napkins we had made with our name and wedding date that were to be handed out with the cake. -No wedding coordinator. THF offered a day of wedding coordinator, which we thought was a nice service that we saw a lot of the venues nearby have been doing. However, we did not know that the wedding coordinator did not cover timeline or vendor drop off or pick up. Basically, the coordinator was really just to coordinate the food. Had this been communicated we would have happily hired a day of coordinator however we didn’t find out until DURING the reception that there was no one present to perform these tasks. Fortunately, our incredible photographer stepped up and handled the timeline, however a lot of our wedding day was still spent trying to put out fires rather than enjoy ourselves. For instance, we had a miscommunication with our vendor installing the dance floor and my husband had to go try to figure it out while he was trying to get ready for the ceremony although we were under the impression that THF would cover the vendor communication. We were told Bentley was to be our day of coordinator, however I did not find out he was not present until after I had been referring people to him for most of the morning. Another woman was to take his place however I did not get a chance to speak with her during the event. This change was probably the reason for a lot of the other mishaps since we don’t think any of the other staff was briefed about what needed to be done for our wedding. We understand that THF was opening another restaurant this weekend which I know takes a lot of man power and work, but it just felt upsetting that it seemed our wedding was kind of placed on the back burner. Some other issues also occurred that were more minor, such as umbrellas not being placed out on a hot day or losing the toast champagne glasses. Overall, we just didn’t really feel cared for or appreciated during this event. We would have appreciated better communication and better service on our wedding day. It’s a bummer that we can’t go back and re-do it so that things worked out better. On the bright side, the food and drink were really good and the venue was beautiful so our pictures turned out really well. Maybe we just had bad timing with THF since we have heard others have had a good experience there, but overall we did not feel that our special day was treated with the same kindness and respect that we would have hoped for.

We asked several people and Hope Farms was recommended as the place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We really wanted to like this place. Although a beautiful facility, Hope Farms is “a below average experience with an illusion of fine dining “. We have traveled and eaten at fine restaurants all over the world so this is not coming from a disgruntled patron. Having kids running around one’s table while supposedly experiencing a culinary prepared meal, takes away any attempt in presenting yourself (Hope Farms) as fine dining; especially at the prices they charge. It must really be a true farm because the gnats around us and our food were horrible. Their solution was to turn the fans on high to blow the gnats away at the expense of making our food cold. As far as their food, their recipe for French onion soup clouded with chewy mushrooms murders the traditional flavor and texture. Same goes for their wedge salad which was smothered in smelly raw onions and some weird peppery watery hot sauce dressing. We love Fairhope and wish Hope Farms to take this review as constructive criticism and an opportunity to know their customer better.

I really wanted to love this place. We waited 10 minutes before we even got an employee to acknowledge us. Finally got water from the hostess. Then waited another 5 minutes for the actual waitress to get our order. We almost left, thinking we had gotten forgot about. The food has potential. My BLT was good. My husband got the fish tacos and could barely eat them as the horseradish slaw was overpowering and he said it was awful. Prices are very high. Atmosphere is beautiful.

FOOD. Saying that my dish was too salty is an understatement. My fish taste like it was either dredged in salt, the salt shaker lid fell off when they were cooking it, or there were several cooks and each took a turn salting it. The pomme frites we’re good but still super salty. DRINKS: the drinks were good, nothing surprising here. I did like that they had a mock tail menu. SERVICE. Waitress was subpar for a restaurant of this quality. We had to ask for items several times for various different things as she forgot. ATMOSPHERE. This was a home run! Very nice atmosphere. This was the one redeeming factor. PRICING: pricing was as expected except for one thing, the steak was about $100! All of the “larger plates” were $25-$35. The steak “said market price” which one would expect to be a bit more, and I guess it was our fault for not asking, but come on! You printed the menu that day, but chose not to put the price on there and the waitress didn’t confirm on the price. Not sure who to blame here, but it was awkward when the bill came and made everyone leave the restaurant feeling taken advantage of. KETCHUP AND BREAD: We asked for some extra crostini for the charcuterie board. As there was not enough for all the spreads. They charged us $3 for 6 small crostini toasts. For the pomme frites, we asked for an extra ketchup which was served in a 1oz container. This showed up on the bill for an extra dollar. The nickeling and diming was unreal and ruined and ruined the feeling of being appreciated PORTION: that SUPER salty fish I mentioned earlier, it said that it could be shared with 2-4 people on the menu but it was only an appropriate portion for one person and not to share. DESERTS: home run! The cheesecake alone would be worth the drive from Mobile. Amazing pastry chef! Overall, this place has incredible potential, but right now they are failing miserably.

We ordered the steak & frites at brunch this morning. It came out blue rare the first time & just beyond blue rare the second time. It was the only part of my meal that didn’t get eaten after I gave up on getting what I wanted. When I spoke to the “hospitality manager” about it she condescendingly said, “Mmmaybe we should order it medium next time??? Have you ever had hanger steak before? Because I personally order it medium rare and that’s how our hanger steak comes.” Thanks so much for the education Caitlyn! Obviously the rules pertaining to a perfect 135* med rare does not apply at Hope Farm. Even with the poor presentation the grits were the star of the show.

Nice unique place to dine in Fairhope unfortunately food and drinks are very overpriced and service is aweful, really really slow and does not meet the standard set by the unique atmosphere. To bad so much potential wasted.

Hands down worst service ever. Hostess was very nice and pleasant, she brought us water. The place is beautiful. However we sat for 10 min and not 1 person came by to check on us or offer us drinks or a greeting. Maybe its just a bad day.......

We wish we could tell you how the food was, but we never made it that far. On November 3rd, we booked a special birthday brunch for Saturday, November 15th. Got the confirmation, called again on November 5th to double-check the head count — all good, or so we thought. Then, on November 9th, we got a call saying our reservation couldn’t be honored because the restaurant “forgot” they had a wedding that day. A whole wedding. We were offered Friday dinner or Sunday brunch instead, which didn’t work for our guests who had already made travel plans. Not exactly the kind of organization you expect from a place that takes reservations weeks in advance.

The inside of the restaurant was absolutely beautiful and very romantic. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the servers were incredibly sweet and attentive throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food did not match the setting or the price. From the appetizer and soup to the entrées and even the dessert, every course was disappointing. The flavors were underwhelming, and nothing stood out in a positive way. For the amount we paid, we expected a much higher level of quality. It’s unfortunate because the ambiance and service were lovely, but the overall dining experience simply was not worth the price. Sadly, we will not be returning.

I wish I could rate this spot higher, as some of the dishes were good, but this was easily the worst service experience at a nicer restaurant ever, and ae went for my cousin’s birthday. Before ordering charcuterie, we asked if the board had blue cheese since she doesn’t eat it, and they said no… the board had blue cheese lol. Kitchen completely messed up the steak temperature for one of the hanger steak orders and when they sent it back, they never cooked it through more… they just brought back a cold plate after everyone else was done eating at this point. No apology, but they gave horrible excuses with an attitude. On to the food. The oysters were very solid. The hanger steak was good in flavor, but they don’t know how to cook it. I ordered the rabbit ravioli, and the portion size was tiny.. I was still hungry after that, and the flavor profile could’ve been better. Unfortunate because it’s a cute restaurant, and the food has potential, but I would absolutely never waste the time or money going there.
