Recensioni di Pora Cà Fara Gera d'Adda
The place is lovely and a little romantic, you could say. It's in the countryside. The restaurant and bar inside has a very interesting design. I liked it. It's located next to the river and the dam. We didn't have a chance to eat in the restaurant, but we did take advantage of the bar's services.
It deserves 5 stars and a place that was recommended to us by a colleague of ours, and I must say that he was not wrong. It was a bit difficult to find since we come from Friuli but the hospitality of the owner and the goodness of the dishes as well as the fact of being practically immersed in nature with the sound of the Adda made it all an unforgettable experience. Thanks and a huge hug from Friuli Mandi
Pora Cà, a historic location surrounded by greenery where you can pleasantly spend a few moments savoring traditional Orobic and local dishes. It's always a pleasure to return, especially during major holidays (New Year's Eve, Easter, Ferragosto, etc.) Absolutely nothing to complain about. The owner and staff are always kind and smiling, you feel right at home!!! A must-visit for me, we'll see you again soon.
Nestled in the middle of greenery, in the middle of nowhere, tranquility, relaxation, and nature... A quirky, unique place, the complete opposite of everything else. The decor has no precise order, but you're still reminded of objects from times gone by... Dishes are carefully crafted, all homemade, the cured meats are excellent, the meat is excellent... Raffaele's kind approach to service is always attentive to the customer's needs... If you're not looking for a run-of-the-mill restaurant with the usual standards, but are looking for something out of the way and lighthearted, you've found the right place. The only flaw that needs fixing is the visual aspect of the entrance. Due to bad weather, the tables at the entrance definitely give the feeling of being abandoned. For the rest, it's worth trying... From a group table for an aperitif to a Harley biker to a group of five friends... a place that takes you back in time...
Do you want to spend the evening in a different place than usual, in the green and quiet, close to the river, rustic enough to make it special and with good food ...... if the answer is yes go there. You will be welcomed by very courteous staff. Recommended
I don't understand the negative reviews. I'd say they don't understand the meaning of good food and hospitality. However, it's a truly beautiful place, with a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by greenery. The restaurant is very unique, tastefully decorated, and many absolutely collectible items. The food is excellent, the menu is fixed, and changes to the options can be agreed upon when booking. I went for lunch, but it was still a bit chilly, which is a shame because they also have a lovely outdoor space. The food is excellent, with just the right portions, home-made cooking, and friendly and fast service. All in all, a peaceful and satisfying Sunday. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Another point I'd like to address regarding the various negative reviews is the road. It's a country road like many others, and you have to drive down it for the last stretch, but it's a really short and perfectly passable journey. I even saw sports cars and low-slung cars parked there, so I'd say it's not a problem. Anyone who lives in the countryside knows that these are perfectly normal roads, with a few potholes, but I've seen worse around. Bottom line: go there, you won't regret it. I'll definitely be back.
We stopped in for a quick aperitivo on Sunday and will definitely be back! The charcuterie and cheese platter was excellent, especially the lardo, which was delicious. The staff is super friendly and approachable. We can't wait to come back for lunch!
This place has always been one of my favorites. It's the kind of place where you can go on a weeknight and feel completely disconnected from the world, sipping good local wine, enjoying a nice cheese and cured meat platter, surrounded by a lawn, rustic tables, and fairy lights. It's also the perfect place for a weekend dinner with friends, enjoying polenta, casoncelli, chicken, and venison. The prices are reasonable, offering excellent value. It's the kind of place where I've always wanted to celebrate special occasions. Every time I go, I feel right at home. The owner is incredibly kind, helpful, and super efficient in responding to any request quickly. The setting speaks for itself: a rustic yet refined atmosphere, unique details, a huge fireplace, countless fairy lights, and the scent of the countryside make for a truly charming atmosphere. I recommend everyone to go there! The only caveat: the road to get there is a bit rough, so first-timers will likely think they've taken the wrong turn, but it's ABSOLUTELY worth it!

A beer house with a vintage feel. We enjoyed a cold cuts platter, pinsa, and cheeses. Beer and red wine were both excellent.
The dirt road is "adventurous" but perfectly in keeping with the pleasant, rustic, and shaded setting outside. We stopped just to "explore" it and promise to return for lunch. We were welcomed for a simple drink and were given kind, clear descriptions of their service and unique menus. I'll soon satisfy my curiosity to fully enjoy Pora Cà.
I was invited at the last minute for a night out with friends to eat rooster. Let's just say the place isn't easy to find; if you don't know where it is, you'll never find it. It's definitely a different place, with unique wooden furnishings; it feels like a cabin. We had cold cuts and rooster, plus wine and water. The wait was a bit long, but whatever. It's dimly lit in the evening, but that's part of the atmosphere. I should try it again, and I think I'll be back.
Pure incompetence and terrible hospitality. A place like the one you run should welcome, not reject. I arrived alone, by bicycle, after repeatedly trying to call your phone number, which redirected me to a WhatsApp reservation page where no one answered. I arrived at 2:07 PM, and with the restaurant half-empty—I repeat, alone, with only one place—you rudely sent me away. When things go badly for you, don't blame the crisis or Italy, but do some soul-searching.
Is it fair to give one star only for the last 300 meters of road separating this restaurant? I've thought about it and I think that, even though the road isn't owned by them, the owners of Pora Cà should have warned them. The road is impassable, full of potholes, and narrow (reverse if you encounter an oncoming car). I'm furious. The risk of crashing your car is high. I'll post a photo that, unfortunately, doesn't explain much.
It's a brewery trying to branch out into catering. We dined with a fixed menu. Advance reservations were required to be able to order food, making the number of meals seem limited. The location could be pleasant, being near the Adda River, but unfortunately the Adda isn't visible. The road to the restaurant is unpaved and winding. On the way back, we enjoyed our meal. The food was a positive note. The first and second courses were good but not very substantial. No side dishes were served. The selection of house cured meats was disappointing. The slices were limited. We thought we'd make up for it with the first and second courses, but that was an illusion. The service was also modest. They showed willingness to engage with the guests, but it wasn't enough. Given the unsatisfactory situation, we declined dessert, which wasn't included in the fixed menu. However, a few friendly spiders in the bathroom cheered us up. The cost was certainly reasonable, but that's no reason to leave guests hungry. Conclusions: There's still a lot to improve. We look forward to future reviews, hoping for a change in management. Alternatively, they could always serve beer.
