We sat outside on Main Street because there was no available seating inside. It was very noisy. We waited over an hour + 20 minutes and left. They didn't charge us for the salads, bread and a glass of wine, but we tipped the waitress anyway.

Went for Hudson Valley restaurant week. Atmosphere was very nice and the bar has nearly everything. Service was great and they make suggestions and answer questions you have about food. I had their Lobster Bisque and if I want in such a nice place I would have liked the bowl clean. OMG best I've ever had. I tried the Lamb Shank. Very tender and flavorful. My date had a pasta dish that had a delicious creamy sauce with large noodle. I believe the pasta was made fresh and so good. 😋 I recommend you try them. They really seem to care about service and freshness of their food

I was in the West Point area tonight because the NAVY Water Polo team played at USMA and my son plays for NAVY. I was looking for a good restaurant for dinner for us (NAVY food is what you would expect), and found Sapore on google with lots of decent reviews. Turns our my son needed to study, so we did take out. When I went to pick it up, the first thing I felt was regret that I could not be dining in the great restaurant you have. The building is wonderful, the bar area really cool, and the dining area just superb. At any rate, we ordered the traditional Caesar salads, ravioli, lamb chops, and duck (two of us, but the NAVY guy eats a lot). The Caesar salads were fantastic. Lost of flavor, none of which were overwhelming. Probably one of the best Caesar salads I have had is 10 years. My son had the lamb and I had the duck. His was gone before I could say boo. I savored the duck. It was very well cooked, accompanied with spinach. Excellent all around!. Plus, the portions were decent sized, not something you see often these days. I love fine dining, and am very appreciative when it can be replicated in take out on occasions such as this! Thank you, you made the weekend. I will be sure to be back, maybe just to dine at the restaurant! Five stars all around, and a huge thank you for such a great meal.

The dining area is beautifully decorated with a rustic yet elegant touch. The soft lighting and comfortable seating make it the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends and family. Great classic Italian restuarant to eat at. Large selection of wine. Set in a old house there were many dinning rooms, a bar, and also a covered outside eating area. The menu they had was out of this world and to top that off they read 10 dinner specials to you. Which made it even harder to make a decision because ever special they read was better then the one before it.

Attending college graduation in the area and love the Village of Fishkill. Came across Sapore when searching for a nice place to celebrate our graduate. So glad we decided to go! Services was excellent and food was outstanding! Will definitely be back since we still have a college student in the area.

The wait staff was very attentive and my water glass was never empty. Now let’s talk about the food, I have to say this was one of the best dinning experiences my fiancé and myself have had. The Pappardelle pasta was cooked perfectly and the scallops were exquisite. My fiancés filet mignon wrapped in pancetta was cooked perfectly and the gorgonzola that it topped off was well done.

Had a great dinner with family again, all others enjoyed their meals. Service was superb. Most had great filets, 11oz. I had surf and turf, 6-7 oz filet with a nice 7" lobster tail meat and grilled asparagus. Started meal with a white wine butter steamed cherrystone clams and a terrific mixed salad, yum. We'll be back again.

White tablecloths and elegant atmosphere is set off by a menu full of different foods including pasta and main courses including filet mignon, chicken, lamb and fish. Great gorgonzola salad served family style. Lots of items to choose from. We enjoyed everything.

In reviewing the reviews I was at first skeptical, but viewing the Decore in the pictures on the website it impressed me as a top Quality restaurant. I have nothing but praise for the steaks that are served here as well as the service, it is of excellent quality. Being from Texas where stakes are the theme this tops The many fine restaurants I have been served in.. Since their opening, Sapore has been a hidden gem of delicious, unfussy Italian inspired fare with excellent, personable service in a handsomely decorated, warm atmosphere. There's no reason to schlep to NY when you're craving dry aged steaks with Sapore in the heart of Fishkill.

Last night my husband and I went to Sapore for dinner for our 25th wedding anniversary. They were very attentive and accommodating. The food was excellent and the outdoor seating area was very tranquil and nice. I would definitely come back when I’m in this area.

Old school Italian restaurant. Atmosphere Feels like a mafia movie. Simple to complex dishes. Had rigatoni in sauce. Simple dish done excellent. Prices are higher but in line with the experience.

Wow.....my wife is simply amazing !! She planned an escape to nowhere as our early Valentine's Day celebration... All I can say is that Sapore exceeded our expectations !! From the escargot, to the lobster bisque as appetizers...to the incredible salad and of course our entrees... medium rare filets with grilled asparagus and roasted potatoes... We can definitely reccomend Sapore for your special occasions....

Wonderful place to be and dine. Thank God there are still places like this left. Quality food. Everything is fresh, deserts are made in house. I have to say it again, EVERYTHING is fresh. The chef has been working his craft for very long, and it shows in every dish. When you need a high quality meal. You want a beautiful place to celebrate an important dinner with family or friends, you come here. No one will blame you if you come in between those important days too. 10 stars.

My husband and I flew in from Charlotte NC area today for a weekend trip. We just had dinner at Fishkill Prime, and it was by far one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We ordered the bone-in ribeye, potatoes au gratin, and mac and cheese—every bite was absolutely phenomenal. The flavors were rich, the portions generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and courteous, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, and the music elevated the entire dining experience. We will absolutely be making a special trip back to the area JUST to have this experience again.

The beat porterhouse I've had in a while. Cooked to perfection. The truffle fries were good as well. Our server Anthony was great. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was classy and welcoming. Definitely going back.

We started with the Truffle salmon roll, I had a glass of rose wine to wash it all down and my husband ordered a rare tequila ( El Tesoro Añejo 2015 vintage ) for my main plate I went with the Roasted Chilean Sea Bas; my husband ordered the special which was a crab meat pasta. For desert we ordered the lava cake with vanilla gelato, food was it was fantastic! I highly recommend, Anthony was our server and he was amazing. Excellent food and service 👌

I am going to be honest, I did not have high expectations of this restaurant, but I was so wrong. First, the sushi is incredible. I am so thrilled to have good sushi in the neighborhood. The fire dragon roll and the crunchy rice cake were fresh and delicious. The rice cake was warm. Perfection. The staff was knowledgable and friendly, and the filet mignon was perfectly cooked. My kids lost their minds for the lava cake. I highly recommend this new local spot for great food and great service.

I had an absolute exceptional experience dining here this evening. I arrived late and sat at the bar. Anthony greeted me and was the epitome of service excellence. His warm and friendly personality, attention to detail, and level of service alone give this review 5 stars. And then I ate and drank. Can I give them 10 stars? More? I had an IPA. I hate IPAs. This IPA was smooth, no bitterness, wow. I didn't even know it was an IPA until I asked Anthony to double check the keg to see what it was. Speckled Pig Restitution NEIPA I believe is what he said. A great beer. I've never said that about an IPA. I'll have to rethink my stance on IPAs, at least from Speckled Pig Brewing. I don't like Kalamata olives. I thoroughly enjoyed their Kalamata olive and olive oil bread dipper and fresh bread. I already enjoyed two things I would normally never have. On to my order. Two of my loves. French onion soup and the bacon appetizer. Their take on French onion soup is classic yet with their own distinct flair. I seriously considered ordering another cup. I could have stopped here and been completely satisfied. The cheese was baked to perfection. Just the right amount of browning of the cheese and the crispiness of the cheese on the edge of the bowl, the soft melted layer adjacent to the decadent broth, the perfect chew of the crust of the crouton within, and the onions that were deep and rich in flavor...all of it, I found absolutely delicious. Now the bacon. I have never had bacon as thick, moist, or as steak-like as this. And as a bacon connoisseur, this was truly the most flavorful that I have ever had. The deep, neverending depth of flavor, the salt, the pepper, the sweetness, the varying textures, all of it came through in every bite. Another absolute wow! Thank you for the type of dining experience I enjoy most: top level service and expanding my horizons with new flavors and textures all in ambiance of class and style that I will savor the memories of for a long time to come.

Went with my children for Mother's Day 2019 for a 5 pm reservation. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted with a smile and guided to our table. I found the restaurant including the restrooms exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. The service was very friendly and professional. We had four courses (appetizers,salad,main,sweets) in total and never felt rushed. The timing between courses was just long enough to allow you to digest and chat before next course. We are a very picky bunch when it comes to our food and we all were pleasantly surprised at wonderful the food was start to finish. The portion size was incredible. The wait staff was very attentive to our needs. The food would be considered expensive for some, however when you consider the ambiance, service, quality of food and beverages it was well worth the triple digits we paid. I highly recommend trying Sapore Steakhouse.

Yet another dinner with the family at Sapore. I honestly cannot say enough about the place. The entire staff are wonderful. The food is exquisite. They really make you feel like family when you come in. We were back again on Saturday August 15, 20202. We were a party of 6 and were treated as usual like family. Smiles and greetings from every member of the staff. The portions and selection from apps, to mains, to dessert is amazing. That's why we pretty much order one of everything from the apps and desserts. The food is 100% quality cooked to perfection. We have been to the restaurant many many times and honestly I cannot say anything bad about anything. If your on the fence about trying it out, just go. You wont regret it. 5stars all the way.

My wife and I had our 27th wedding anniversary dinner at this place. We were looking for a quiet place to celebrate our anniversary and to our surprise, Sapore delivered more than our expectations. The place is very clean, food is exemplary (food is subjective) and I do believe you’re going to enjoy this place. Staff are attentive and kind. This is a kind of place you don’t feel being rushed. Great wine selection and dinner price is amazing!!

I'll always come back. The food here, the large menu and specials, the fresh food and delicious seasonings make this place one you can't forget. It's a beautiful dining room, nice music and cozy atmosphere just leave you to relax while you eat with family or friends. When you want a dinner you can rely on to leave you happy and satisfied, Sapore will be your best choice. The meats and seafood are all fresh, everything is in house and homemade, the deserts and wide drink options leave you wanting for nothing. It's not everyday you find a place like this. I brought my sister and brother in law after their marriage and it was an amazing evening. I love to come with my family for steak, veal, pork, pastas, ravioli, fish and other seafood. Cappuccino and desserts bring everything to a perfect close. I love this place, and I can't wait for you to love it too.

I was here this Sunday, I set at the bar. The oysters were a standout. Super fresh and incredibly good, hands down some of the best oysters I’ve had. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the curly haired bartender was awesome!!! So friendly, warm, and genuinely nice. She made the whole experience even better. Fishkill Prime is absolutely worth it. Definitely coming back.

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience tonight and it was all thanks to Dominic! From the moment we sat down, Dominic was incredibly attentive, genuinely kind, and so personable. I had such an amazing experience at Fishkill Prime! We started with drinks at the bar and they were absolutely perfectly well made, strong, and delicious. The food was just as impressive. Everything came out cooked exactly how we asked, hot, and full of flavor. You can tell they really care about quality here. By far my husband’s new FAVORITE restaurant. And that’s saying something… This place exceeded our expectations for our much needed date night. There are a ton of options like sushi (my husband got a delicious roll), sashimi, nigiri, maki and more. We each got some delicious red wine, and then I started with the soup of the day which was absolute perfection- I could have eaten a vat of it. It was a creamy butternut squash made with fresh ingredients/herbs with the perfect flavor. The highlight was our porterhouse steak for 2. WOW - well worth the price for the size and quality. It literally melted in your mouth. We had potatoes au gratin - to die for - and asparagus as sides. Needless to say, we were full, but also thrilled that we found a new date night spot. We can’t wait to go again and try more items on the menu!

First of all, thank you to Niti B and the other servers who sang happy birthday to my mama. She was really happy. The service was really good. The place is clean, and they have a parking spot at the back. We ordered the soup of the day, which was lobster bisque, and OMG it was so good. We had fried calamari, which was good as well. We had the porterhouse for two, which was so good as well. I loved the truffle fries because they were so good, and the asparagus was good as well. Overall, the foods that we ordered were really good. We ordered dessert, a tiramisu with coffee and it was a good dessert as well. Ohh the bread wa so soft as well We will come back to this place again when we are in the area.

We came tonight for a last minute reservation and were seated immediately. The service by Anthony was excellent, his knowledge of the menu and specials was top notch. I will only order dirty martinis when they have blue cheese stuffed olives & they didn’t disappoint. The bacon appetizer was delicious and Anthony recommended the bone in NY strip which was cooked perfectly (medium rare of course). My wife had the spicy rigatoni with burrata which she loved. I highly recommend especially for the sizzling steak and delicious drinks. Pricey but worth it.

My closest friends treated me to a surprise dinner at the new spot. I was super excited and was pleasantly surprised. Sushi was delicious, steak was perfect, set us up in a private room (loud group). Djelza took care of us, she was so helpful in making decisions. Checked in between each course. Very attentive! My steak was cooked to a perfect medium. Djelza suggested this when I request medium-well. (Guilty of drenching it in their Parmesan peppercorn sauce ) Delcious! 10/10 recommend.

Lovely restaurant in historic building. We sat outside under the covered porch. Perfect night for outdoor dining & the ceiling fans kept the air flowing & comfortable. Our waiter was very attentive, had all the specials memorized & was able to accommodate our separate check request. The food was fantastic, although a bit pricey. Would definitely recommend, especially for a special occasion.

A co worker recommended me to try this place out. I am always willing to try different venues. Nice, cozy spot to bring a date. The staff was very attentive. Our waiter was very detailed in explaining the food items, and all the specials for the night. I enjoyed all the food from the soup of the night (Lobster Bisque), to the Seafood Platter for two as an appetizer. I even tried Duck for the first time, and it was enjoyable. The drinks were also good. Overall, a very nice night out.

The place is beautiful, romantic and cozy; the food is delicious and the portions are pretty big. I ordered the Regina salad with no cheese but it still came with it; nonetheless, our lovely waiter apologized and wanted to know if I wanted another one and I kindly declined. I just removed the cheese and ate the rest. A real delicious green salad! The service is fantastic as well, a great place to have dinner.

Solid place to eat with family and the service was stellar. The space was nicely rustic and broken into smaller rooms so it felt cozy. Dessert was the best course. I ordered the crab pasta and really enjoyed it. The sorbet was good but the semifredo was the star of the show. Apparently the scallops weren't great, but everything else looked fine. We were all especially pleased with the service – the staff was attentive and very accommodating to our requests. I would recommend this place for a nice meal.

Restaurant is lovely. Very charming atmosphere. Look out for the little butler near the door. I had the dry aged Ribeye (special) it was delicious. The salad is good and dessert were absolutely tasty. Staff was very attentive.

Atmosphere could be better - we sat in front of where they roll the sushi so we didn’t have the best table and the fake flowers on the table were a little tacky for my liking. Food was great..but we thought it was very odd they do not have any kind of wine list or drink menu? How do you not have a selection of wine to pick from and how much the drinks are? I feel wine and steak go hand in hand. Other than that we were satisfied with our meals.

We ordered 2 hanger steaks and a pasta dish (3 of us). The hanger steak was good but for $26 it seemed very very small and I was shocked when they brought the dish out. I've been to my share of steak houses and this was just ridiculous! The bill was $100 for 3 people, I wouldn't mind it if the food and portions were good but at this restaurant they were not.

Service was very good. Steaks were good but not great. Double check your bill. The three of us had a cup of tap water each and the wife also requested a cup of hot water. Checked the bill at home and they charged us $3 for the 3 cups of tap water and $3 for the cup of hot water.

Business brought my wife and I to Fishkill around dinner time. We decided to stay and eat out there. We usually go to Trattoria Locanda, a restaurant featuring southern Italian, but wanted to try something different so we walked up and down the block. We paused in front of Sapore, a word that for some reason makes me think Japanese - maybe it’s Sapporo the beer? The restaurant featured northern Italian. The owner was out front and told us that the salmon was great today. We reviewed the menu on our cell phones. My wife saw the rack of lamb and was really in the mood for that, so we went in. The decor was convincingly atmospheric, like a Coppola or Scorcese … or better yet, like a Franco Rosi film set, except it had me thinking southern Italy, not northern (and the so-called southern restaurant Locanda across the street feels more like Milan, go figure). A waiter greeted us and we had a choice of three places to sit: the large dining room, the outdoor patio, or the one we chose, a smaller more intimate room with booths. 4.5 stars for decor. The water was uncompromisingly punctual and polite in his demeanor, and he clearly had an excellent memory: he ran through a very long list of specials without missing a beat. The staff get 5.5 stars. We each ordered a cocktail: a cosmopolitan and a gin martini. Both excellent. 5 stars. We ordered an appetizer special to share, which was excellent. 5 star. My wife ordered the lamb, and I got the swordfish special. I jumped the gun on desert, and asked if they had ricotta cheesecake. He said yes and pointed it out on the menu but it said NY cheesecake. Ricotta is light and fluffy, NY is dense and creamy. We have been living in the Hudson Valley for 6 years and have yet to find one restaurant with good ricotta cheesecake. He insisted it was the latter, and so it was, and it was perfect! They need to change the name on the menu! The wife ordered a carrot cake. Deserts: 5 stars. Sadly, the main entrees failed to meet our expectations. My wife’s lamb was bland. My swordfish was also bland, and overcooked to the point that the texture was dried out. Not bad, just not good. The presentation - not something that one used to think much about even only 10 years ago but seems de rigueur these days at most better restaurants - was also lacking. 2.5 stars. My wife has been to the sister restaurant in Newburgh and says it is excellent, so maybe the chef was having a bad hair day? We will give the place another chance the next time we are in town.

I was thoroughly disappointed with the food served. We had grilled octopus and calamari for appetizers. Both had extremely small portions, barely enough to feed more than 2 people. Octopus was extremely chewy and severely lacking in flavor, we did not eat it and thankfully the staff was nice enough to remove it from the bill. The calamari was very low quality and chewy as well but much more edible than the octopus. The fettuccine special had no flavor, neither did the Cornish hen. Even the rolls were hard and cold. Only good things experienced were the steaks, salad, and tiramisu. Servers were also very knowledgeable and attentive. Others seem to have had very good experiences here so maybe it was an off day or maybe we just ordered the wrong things. Either way I do not believe the high price was reflected in the quality of the food at all and I do not plan on returning.

First time here under Fishkill Prime Land & Sea. I’ve been to this place twice before when they were other restaurants. One thing remains the same, it’s never packed. Interior is nice, this space is large and always feels empty when I come. Nonetheless service is great. Anthony was very nice and made good recommendations. We opted with sushi to start since everyone raves about it. It was good however it was also very big, compared to most sushi rolls. I would recommend this. Dinner was the NY strip and chicken Milanese. The steak was average, lacked flavors that would leave a lasting impact. Good presentation. The chicken Milanese was underwhelming, the chicken itself had no flavor. I was disappointed. Cheesecake was good.

The food is just okay, kind of disappointing. We ordered the Tomahawk steak which wasn’t bad but felt a little bit dry. The sea bass was underwhelming, poorly served in the plate. The pasta we tried (Penne al vitella e salvia) was the worse of the all dishes, tasteless and bland. Also don’t order the calamari, felt like it was just microwaved. The salad was unappealing as well. The lamp chops saved the night, juicy, tasty and perfectly cooked, we ordered it twice because it was really good. The staff was friendly and fast, the ambience is comfortable and spacious and they have a terrace too. Overall, it’s not a great spot for Italian food. The food is relatively pricey and the food quality disappointing.

HIGH END PRICING BUT MEDIOCRE FOOD! Nice ambiance and friendly staff, but it quickly goes downhill from there…. Ordered calamari which was OK, but the squid still had a tough membrane on it and could make you choke if you weren’t careful. I ordered the T bone 45 day dry aged steak done medium. DON’T! It had over an inch of fat all around the perimeter, was extremely tough and chewy (very difficult to cut with a steak knife) and gristle laden and was only about 3/4” thick. For an aged steak it should have been over the top especially for what they charge for it! I also had mashed potatoes that were cold and had the appearance and texture of potatoes out of a box! The creamed spinach was soupy and literally missing the spinach. A total disappointment……So I complained about my steak to the waiter, and it was replaced with a bacon wrapped filet mignon that was acceptable with no upcharge, however it took some time for them to serve it. The decaf cappuccino was watery IMO, but the chocolate gelato was good. This was my son in laws birthday (3 couples and 2 children split 3 ways) and for $222 my wife and I paid including a 15% tip it was far to expensive for the inferior quality of the meal we were served. We will not be returning……

Food was great, service was slow but there seemed either to be a language barrier with the server or he lied to us to get us to order the Seafood Platter special. My wife specifically asked him if the clams were steamed, he said they were but then they came out raw and when I asked about it, he said "No, they're not steamed, but they're better this way!"

On a not busy Tuesday night, another group came in and were sat RIGHT next to us. Why seat people right next to each other when you didn’t need to? I asked for a drink menu and was told “there’s a full bar, order anything you want”. No wine list was provided, no drink specials, nothing. The specials list was almost as long as the menu, but the waiter spoke them all off, so it was hard to remember what he said or what each dish fully entailed. I got a risotto fish that had lobster, and the lobster was chewy. For a restaurant that was busy, and had so many “specials,” I was expecting a much better quality. Needless to say, we will not be going back here.

We had family visiting and they wanted a steakhouse. Reading the reviews we decided on Sapore. Should have gone to Outback. The hostess and waiter were very friendly. The wine was good. Not one appetizer or main meal was anything to rave about. The lobster bisque was bland. The stuffed mushrooms were soggy. The lamb was passable. The lobster tail was cold. The steak was overcooked. For three hundred and forty dollars not including the tip was expecting much more. Drive the extra half hour and go to the steakhouse at the casino and have a great meal

Had dinner last night and was so disappointed. The food was delicious and the wait staff was attentive. But the manager was so rude. There were three other tables around us and the manager came out and spoke to each table, brought dessert menus for them, even gave them dessert on the house. All three tables! But avoided our table like the plague, stared daggers in our direction, and never uttered a word to us. I know this world isn’t perfect. But you could at least be happy pleasant to ALL of your patrons, no matter what they look like. Definitely not going back where I’m not welcome and I’ll make sure no one I know visits the establishment either!

Below average. Broiled brussell sprout appetizer just okay. Caesar salad was small and the croutons tasted like eating a pat of butter - should have done better for $18. Filet was cooked well for med rare but the outside was like cardboard. The asparagus side dish had a total of 5 spears most of which were burnt and room temperature. For a Sat night, they were not busy (bad sign) and the wait staff came every 2 minutes asking if we were finished - very annoying, Only redeeming item was the wine, Montepulciano - this was a winner. Won't be going back and do. not recommend.

Cute restaurant, nice waitstaff, food met expectations but was nothing special for how pricey it was. Service was atrocious, we waited 45+ minutes to order and had to ask (sometimes numerous times) anytime we needed a water refill and when we asked for the check. It was Valentine’s Day so my partner and I gave some slack to the waitress who seemed overwhelmed, but every other party around us was miserable and kind of killed the mood with their bitching about how long they (also) had to wait and because their steaks were not cooked enough. I think one couple sent their steak back 3x. Ours was a little undercooked in some areas (ordered medium) but overall was solid. Probably won’t come back🤷🏻‍♂️

I enjoyed my meal however unfortunately had a severe reaction directly after leaving the establishment. I have celiac, and requested my pasta dish gluten free. I did call the establishment and spoke to the owner, who gave information but was overall unclear. Unfortunately, I had a severe reaction and must confirm what I consumed, and this conversation did not help me confirm or deny this confidently. Thanks for speaking with me, but thanks for not taking allergies seriously also. I own my own bakery- I take this seriously myself in my own work. I fear an audit such as an allergy case. Exceptional atmosphere! The steak and fries sans truffle oil and salt reminded us of Peter Luger Steakhouse in Great Neck NY! Salad delicious, my husband loved the shrimp cocktail, the lentil soup was perfectly seasoned and even the warm bread was amazing! Update 8/15/2025 Went a second time. We received old bread. Ordered a cocktail, amaretto sour (tart and disgusting). Waitress insisted we order a different drink. We finally caved and requested a mojito! That was even MORE sour and tart than the first drink! Male waiter came over and stated that the drinks were made EXACTLY according to the recipe/s…ok. They were still AWFUL! 🤦‍♀️ We received our salad still delicious! Tried rigatoni pasta alla vodka. Cooked al Dante sauce eh. But tasty. Got the same steak requested same temp medium rare. Fries sans oil and salt! Fries came out with salt and truffle oil. Steak was TERRIBLY Bland and cooked horribly. 👎 Waitress tells us that we never asked for no salt smh. Overall, we suppose some days are better than others for this restaurant. Additionally, there was NO ONE THERE both times. Two couples came in after we were leaving however. But how can they make such mistakes with so little customers? Lastly 7 pieces of Asparagus for $8 is pretty ridiculous!

Made the trip to Sapore for dinner, which would prove to be the largest dining mistake I would make in a long time. Everything about it was disappointing. The dining area reeked of cigars, and there was no ambiance whatsoever. The lights were bright and it felt uninviting. Ordered grilled calamari and a tomato, prosciutto, and mozzarella dish to start. Both dishes were terrible. The calamari was rubbery and tasteless with what seemed like a canned bruschetta topping over it. The tomato was covered in oil and made the whole dish slimy. Ordered the tomahawk steak for dinner and asked for it to be cooked rare. When I first cut into it felt a little strange that I was having so much trouble. Upon slicing my first piece it was revealed to me that this corner of my steak was quite a bit underdone and closer to raw than rare. As I made my way up the steak I realized somehow the chef managed to cook the top half of it medium and the bottom half raw. On top of the inconsistency of the cooking, the steak lacked flavor, and was seasoned poorly. The potatoes were bland and the sautéed spinach was also unpleasant. Please save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. This was a disgrace to steakhouses across the globe. Wish I could go back in time and have gone somewhere else to spend my $130 for two people.

Entered, went to bar and sat for a really long time before we were even looked at. Then a brief exchange that we wanted to see wine list, took forever to see wine list...picked bottle...he brought wrong one. Then dinner, bad appetizer, stale bread, cheap bitter salad. The only thing that was good was the Osobuco which was done well but lousy risotto. Our waiter was a nice young gal, took decent care of us. Everything else was mediocre. We will not be going back.

Never before have I walked out of a restaurant. Until now. I have eaten there a lot, and always loved it ! Tonight was a disaster, never before have I experienced such poor service, never before have I been ignored. Mentioned it to the host, and. It a care was given. For those of you that think, wow News Years Eve I am not being fair the place was not anymore busy than usual. A dinner that runs a couple of hundred every time should not be this way. Old saying “take care of the customer, or someone else will” Embrace it. You lost me ! You lost my money ! You lost me telling people about a great place ! Happy 2020 !

Went there for an early dinner. We ordered calamari which was rubbery. One of the main dishes was a ribeye (which was the special) and was asked to be cooked medium rare. I could tell as soon as I was cutting it that is was raw. I sent it back for it to be cooked a little longer. In the meantime, I ate some of my wife's chicken- which was bland and tasteless. The steak came back out and it was still raw. I ended up boxing it up to cook at home. When the waiter saw and brought back our bill he apologized and compped our drinks ($17) for our $55 steak that came with no sides. The best part of our meal was the bread and olive oil! Sadly, we will not be returning.

We visited during restaurant week. This was the only restaurant that we visited which we felt like we were treated as if we didn't belong there. My husband and I eat out a lot and we usually stick to the same places. We like to go outside of our box and our comfort zone during restaurant week. Sapore is definitely not a place we would return to. The portions were laughable, the bar service was so ridiculously slow, there were only a few people there and it took about 10 minutes to even be greeted. The waiter was snooty. The only person who was kind and attentive was the host at the door. Thank you, but no thank you. One and done for Sapore.

It was a first date. I’m Italian and was looking forward to a great night, which I had in spite of the horrible food and mediocre service. I come from a FAMILY of chefs!! Could hardly understand the waiters with their heavy accent. Our appetizer ( Fried Calamari) was under cooked. I ordered Hanger Steak Medium Well... came out rare. Ordered Ricotta cheese cake. It was a Sliver if a slice and it was horrific... I think it was mixed with cream cheese. If this place was Zagat rated, it had to have been with a different chef. Do not eat here. Eat across the street at the Trattoria.

My husband and I decided to have lunch at Sapore. It was under new ownership. We saw a waiter we knew, he explained the situation to us. We decided to stay. We should have left. My martini tasted like a gallon of olive juice. Two appetizers,one was good the other tasted like it came out of a can.. Lunch was a disaster. I ordered a Rib eye rare my husband ordered Papardell. My steak came on a red hot plate drowned in screaming hot oil all cut up completely well done with a dot of pink in the center. I had to wait ten minutes before I could touch the plate. My husbands was worse. A dry pile of meat on macaroni run under the broiler. The waitress seemed to not be from this planet. I paid my $250.00 plus a generous tip and left. I will never go there again.

We had such high hopes. My family of four dines out regularly and I cook and buy quality food, so Sapore seemed like a perfect option for a Sunday night meal. Sadly, we had some of the worst meals any of us have ever eaten. My husband and I ordered the halibut, but they both came out raw in the middle and I had to send mine back (he dealt with it but hated it). The fish had clearly been frozen for several months before they cooked it. When they brought mine back, it had a hard Skin and was very fishy in taste (and still not flaky and weirdly dense). Every time I cut into the halibut, it crunched which was nauseating. If you’ve had good halibut, it should be flaky and light and delicious and not fishy at all. My meal was the exact opposite yet they charged $50 for it. The couscous they served with it was also very poor quality. The hanger steak my daughter had was extreme salty and tasted like rehydrated beef jerky. It was covered with a thick layer of caramelized onions that were also very poor quality and possibly came out of a jar. The only thing that was edible was the bread and olive spread and my other daughter’s octopus was okay. Unfortunately the chef does not know what he is doing, and they overcharged us tremendously for what we got. Four entrées and two glasses of wine came to $255 plus tip. The only bright side was that our waiter was excellent and ended up taking one halibut meal off the bill after I complained to him. I NEVER complain, but this was above and beyond bad and I felt I had to say something. Unfortunately, we will never go back. We all left with stomach aches. My advice, if you do go, order the pasta. I think it’s the only safe way to go.

We’ve been loyal patrons of Sapore for years, recommending it to many who also loved it. But since the change in ownership, the quality has completely tanked. Our recent visit to Fishkill Prime (Land & Sea) was a disaster from start to finish. First, trying to make a reservation was a nightmare. I had to call *three times* to even get someone on the phone to book a table for my boyfriend’s birthday. When we finally arrived, things went downhill fast. We ordered crispy calamari, a NY strip for my boyfriend, and a filet mignon for myself, with mashed potatoes and asparagus as sides. The calamari was fine, but that was the only highlight. Then, we hit a series of blunders. My boyfriend received the wrong steak, and the waitress tried to pass it off as the correct one. After a long wait for his actual order to arrive, my filet mignon had gone cold. Not to mention that the top of my steak was burnt and overall dried out. The steak was lacking any flavor as well. Meanwhile, my boyfriend’s NY strip came out *sizzling* and popping grease all over him, ruining his clothes and napkin. It was too hot to eat and, when he finally could, it tasted like nothing but grease—no seasoning whatsoever. To top it off, the manager didn’t bother to check on us after he apologized for the initial mishap with the wrong steak, and the waitress failed to acknowledge my boyfriend’s birthday, despite me mentioning it at the start. No dessert, no gesture—nothing. They comped the wine (the least they could do after all the mistakes), but honestly, who sends out a steak that’s literally shooting grease? The worst part? The bill was still over $200 with tip for this abysmal meal. After this experience, we won’t be returning, and we certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone ever again. We come here 2 times a month because we love the food and the service, usually come with either 4 or party of 12 everytime…. We came Sunday day after Valentine’s Day and have so far had the worst experience yet. Walked in and was told to seat myself, have to go up and get my own menus after waiting 20 minutes for someone to come up to us, to then waiting another 15/20 for someone to take our order. Then it took an hour for us to get our appetizers and waiting even longer to get our main meal that we ordered at the same time. Really disappointed to walk in and see that the gentleman and his wife are no longer here because they really brought amazing customers service and energy to this place, always made sure our food was on point and came out in a timely manner really overall was a great team and brought good energy to the rest of the staff. Our sushi sat on the counter for 20 minutes before it was brought over to us, when we said something to the waiter about it he proceeded to let us know how busy and overwhelmed he is. Had to go up to the bar constantly to get a refill on drinks,Really all around disappointed in the service and the food. Will come back again if I hear they are back

We were seated at 7:15 and offered water and then completely ignored for 45 minutes. Not a single server came to our table to take a drink order, explain the delay, or even acknowledge us. Meanwhile, a table seated after us gave up and went to the bar themselves to get drinks. Plenty of staff were walking around pouring water, but apparently no one was capable of actually taking an order. As a couple who rarely gets the chance to go out, this was especially disappointing. We were really looking forward to the night, and instead we sat there invisible for nearly an hour before finally leaving which, at that point in the evening, left us with very limited options elsewhere. Absolutely unacceptable service.

Food was horrible. Started with the French onion soup which was flavorless with bread in it that I needed a knife to cut. Had the $65 filet which was charcoal on the outside and insanely dry and unseasoned on the inside. Also had the potatoes au gratin which was potato mush covered in a mix of flavorless cheeses. My son had the same awful filet with a side of French fries which tasted like they came from a truck stop. I can understand why it was so empty on a Friday night. I also like how 95% of the google reviews are from sapore, kinda misleading in my opinion.

Gross! Steak was cooked to every temperature possible, from rare to cremated. NY strip tasted oven baked with a lil broil, unseasoned and by far the most chewing I’ve ever done. Placed on a hot plate with unsalted butter. Steak keeps cooking even after you’re done eating. Au-gratin had the taste of wet potato chip’s covered with flavorless, five cheese, in powder form. Nothing prime except the decor and the hit your wallet will take.
