We had an amazing dinner here with my family and friends! The food was great, but what really made the night special was Luis — his service was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and had such a great sense of humor that kept us all smiling throughout the evening. Thank you for making our night so enjoyable, Luis!

The team made our lunch very special. They were super attentive, explaining all the dishes as they came out. The ambience was incredible and you could tell every detail was thought through. The paella was exceptional and I will be referring everyone!

Wonderful evening at Arros. We were a group of 7. Started for the table with unbelievable presa and fabulous tuna as highlights. Paellas were top class. Watching the cooking on open fire was heaven for me as a smoker/bbq lover. Great atmosphere, fabulous decor and excellent service. £170/head but we did get stuck into the wine. Worth it. Loved it here.

This is our second time at this restaurant and it wound be the last! We were very happy to book another dinner at ArrosQD thanks to the outstanding customer service provided by the entire team, especially Adrian. The paella is absolutely amazing—l which it brings back memories of the months we spent in Andalucía, with its warm flavors and incredible attention to detail. Their entire food selection, including the starters, is of the highest quality—everything we tried was delicious. I truly believe this is some of the best Spanish cuisine you can find in London. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Authentic Spanish flavors in the heart of London! From the moment I walked in, the aroma of grilled seafood and rich spices transported me straight to Spain. The Carabineros Paella was perfectly crisp at the edges and packed with deep seafood flavors. The Truffle Bomb was an explosion of creamy richness, and the Basque Cheesecake had the perfect balance of smokiness and sweetness. The ambiance is elegant, making it ideal for a special night out. Pricey but absolutely worth it. Make a reservation – it’s always busy!

Visited for a friend's birthday, we had a private room for 20 people and had the set menu. The food was really varied and tasted excellent all round. Although the portions looked small, there was enough brought out so everyone could try each course. The main course of paellas were massive, we had a lot left over at the end! Service for drinks was pretty slow.

My niece fancied paella. I’ve heard this place and walked pass few times and it is such beautiful restaurant with open kitchen and fire pits that makes the atmosphere so romantic! Lovely place for a date night. We had a kid who fell a sleep before dinner and the staff brought extra chair so he can lying down while we had our dinner which was so kind! We had paella and some steaks and octopus. As much as I want to say it was amazing… but paella was a bit too salted even for my husband who is addicted to salt. But steak was perfect! Overall very pleasing with our meal!

Came for a work lunch! Food was incredible. Highly recommend the king scollop. The rices were lovely, although very big, could probably do one between 3. But big portions is never a complaint haha. Wine list was comprehensive and delicious. Staff were lovely very attentive and friendly, service was fast. 10/10

We had a wonderful lunch at Arros QD. The wood-fired black ink paella was outstanding — deeply flavourful and perfectly cooked. The appetisers were well balanced and tasty, and dessert was innovative and delicious. Thank you to Louis for the friendly, considerate, and professional service throughout the meal. His service really elevated the whole experience. We’ll definitely be back!

A great experience! The place is super nice, we got received nicely at the reception. The sommelier was very polite and attentive. The open kitchen with the wood fire and grill is amazing to see and the paella was sublime. We had king scallop with iberico stock and pan with aioli to start. The flavour of the stock was incredible. Although, i was a bit disappointed about the size of the scallop. we then had mediterranean paella and it was outstanding. Flavours and the fish was really fresh. To finish up the gorgonzola basque cheesecake, was delicious. Good for sharing tho.

We went to Arros QD for the first time and loved it. You can eat real paellas cooked over fire in London. The place is very nice, with a great atmosphere. David was our main waiter, who advised us wisely on how much to eat and recommended the txangurro (crab) paella, which was delicious. He was very approachable and kind. Marina was our sommelier and took care of us. She was also very approachable and shared her knowledge and love of wine. We went for a very nice Rueda. Adrià was the other waiter who took care of us and made us feel comfortable. He was very approachable and empathetic. Those three worked very well together and made our night and experience unique and familiar. I really recommend this restaurant if you want fantastic service and very, very good authentic new Spanish food.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable dining experience at Arros QD! Arros QD delivers a truly exceptional culinary journey in the heart of London. Beyond their spectacular wood-fired paellas, the tapa-style starters and beautifully crafted mains showcase the unmistakable signature of chef valenciano Quique Dacosta — precision, creativity, and deep Mediterranean flavour. A special mention to Sommelier Marina, whose pairing suggestions were absolutely brilliant. If you enjoy sparkling wines, don’t hesitate to let her guide you — pairing the entire dinner with Cava was a revelation! It’s also a wonderful surprise to enjoy top Spanish producers like Cava Jaume Giró i Giró and Gramona right here in London. Fantastic food, impeccable service, and a warm, vibrant atmosphere. Highly recommended! 🥂✨

An Exceptional Birthday Lunch at Arros QD! My girlfriend's birthday lunch at Arros QD was truly an unforgettable experience, setting an exceptionally high bar for contemporary Spanish cuisine. The entire meal was a masterclass in flavor, presentation, and atmosphere. We chose the Pella de Txangurro (Spider Crab Paella) as our main event, and it was a rich, smoky showstopper. The depth of flavor in the rice, infused with the essence of the sea and the delicate, sweet crab meat, was astounding. It delivered that perfect, coveted socarrat crust—a mark of a truly great paella. Seeing the crab shell beautifully placed in the center made it feel like a celebratory feast. For our starters, we savored a stunning array of small plates: Octopus (Pulpo): Served over a smooth, creamy potato purée with a vibrant drizzle of paprika oil, the octopus was perfectly charred—crisp on the outside, incredibly tender within. It was an artful dish. (Pictured first) Scallop: Presented in its natural shell, submerged in a savory, aromatic broth with a hint of herbs, this dish was pure elegance. The scallop itself was flawlessly cooked and melted in the mouth. (Pictured second) Ceviche: This was a bright and refreshing palate cleanser, featuring delicate cubes of white fish "cooked" in a creamy coconut-based leche de tigre, beautifully garnished with slivers of red onion and edible blue flowers. A perfect balance of acid and creaminess. (Pictured third) Beef Tartare: Served on a piece of perfectly toasted brioche, the tartare was richly seasoned with a complex mix of spices, topped with fine radish slices and more of those beautiful blue flowers. A delightful bite of texture and intense flavor. (Pictured fourth) The atmosphere was sophisticated yet warm, and the service was attentive, making the entire occasion feel special and seamless. The Arros QD team created the ideal backdrop for a celebratory birthday. If you are looking for a unique, upscale dining experience—especially one that celebrates the best of wood-fired Mediterranean cooking—Arros QD is a mandatory visit. It made my girlfriend’s birthday incredibly memorable. Every plate was a five-star experience.

We were looking for a different place to have Sunday lunch and discovered Arros QD, what an incredible surprise! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. A big shout-out to Henry and David, who truly gave us a full Michelin-level experience. We started with jamón and cheese, and our main course was simply spectacular. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of authentic Spanish flavors. The atmosphere and taste really transport you straight to Spain. We’ll definitely be coming back, absolutely worth every moment and bite!✨

We celebrated my birthday lunch here and it was such a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely amazing — we shared one of their paellas, which was full of flavour and perfectly cooked, followed by the most delicious Basque cheesecake. The service was truly five-star, and a special thank you to Luis and Harry for making the occasion feel extra special. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I went to Arros this week and honestly left delighted. The food was amazing, reminded me the taste of Spain that you really miss, and the place has a super cozy atmosphere and beautiful set up. I would like to highlight David, who took amazing care of all of us. Very professional, friendly, and attentive to everything, non stop making jokes with us :). It’s great to meet people like him, who really put heart into what they do. Thank you, David, for doing such a great job! I’ll definitely be back and recommend this restaurant to my friends 😋🇪🇸

I had the absolute best paella at Arros QD – truly unforgettable! The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced, with every bite reminding me why this place is so highly praised. The presentation was beautiful, and the attention to detail made the whole dining experience feel special. The staff were warm, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. If you’re in London and want to experience paella at its finest, this is the place to go. Can’t wait to come back!

The shrimp in the paella were sweet shrimp, and the flavor was amazing; the rice was perfectly cooked, not undercooked at all. The grilled octopus legs were just right, better than what I've had in Spain—not soggy, but very chewy.

This place will definitely be my number one recommendation for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic paella in London! They've absolutely nailed it! All paellas are for two to share. Portions are generous and the price is fair for this quality and service - which was attentive but not disturbing.

We booked a table at Arros QD last Friday for a birthday dinner and it turned out to be a really fun night. I actually called ahead earlier in the week to ask about bringing a cake. They said it’s £4.50 per person for cakage unless you also order desserts from them. In the end I didn’t bring one, but good to know if you ever want to do a proper celebration there. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. It is quite dimly lit which feels dramatic when you first walk in, but it makes the whole place feel cosy and a bit fancy. The open kitchen is amazing. There is so much fire and movement that it makes the whole restaurant feel alive. They even do a chef’s table right by the kitchen which sounds like such a cool experience if you are into seeing the action up close. The service was honestly perfect all night. Everyone was warm and friendly. I have to shout out the Spanish sommelier because she was a whole vibe. She is very high energy, which just adds to the buzz of the space, and her dessert wine recommendation for me at the end of the night was spot on. I liked it so much I looked up the bottle afterwards, although the markup made me do a double take. We started with Olive Oil Coca Bread, Traditional Allioli and the Valencian Kale Salad. These were fine but nothing I would rush back for. Worth mentioning that the allioli is very light on garlic which some people might prefer. The Tuna Tataki though was amazing. The Bluefin Atlantic tuna had a lovely meaty flavour and the whole dish felt really fresh and clean. For mains we had the Presa Ibérica, Paella Valenciana and Mediterranean Rice. The pork was perfectly cooked, beautifully pink inside and really tender. The leek ashes added this subtle smokiness that made it extra special. Both rice dishes were packed with flavour, but the rabbit in the Paella Valenciana was a bit on the dry side. The Mediterranean Rice ended up being my favourite dish of the night. The rice was cooked just right and the sea bream on top was meaty and so satisfying. Dessert was an easy choice because we had to try their Basque cheesecake. They add Gorgonzola to it which sounds unusual but works so well. The salty blue cheese lifts the flavour without overpowering the sweetness. I am absolutely stealing this idea for my own home baking. The dessert wine I had with it tied everything together perfectly. Random side note, the bathrooms are upstairs and when we went up there we realised the second floor is absolutely stunning. It feels like such a shame they did not seat people up there because it was a great dining space. The bill came to just under £400 for five people which worked out at about £80 each. We are not big eaters or drinkers so that felt like a lot for what we had. Still, considering it is a central London restaurant with gorgeous interiors, flawless service and a proper special occasion vibe, it felt worth it. The birthday girl had a great time, which is what matters most.

Fantastic experience. Incredible food, service and atmosphere. David who served us was fabulous- knowledgeable and also encouraged us to try the incredible coca bread which I'm so glad he did! The bread was one of the best breads I've ever eaten and the dips were delicious! Great for catering for gf and the paella was so tasty and authentic. The picante cocktail was perfectly prepared too! We will be back!

The food at Arros QD is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is truly elegant. There’s also the option to book a private room, which adds an extra touch of exclusivity. I’ve been there both for a client lunch and a romantic dinner, and it’s always lived up to the occasion. I tried two types of paella: the one with crab, topped with an incredibly soft crab cream that was absolutely breathtaking, and the Mediterranean one, rich with shrimp and various kinds of fish—simply divine. Their fusion twist on Spanish cuisine is creative and refined. One of my absolute favorites was the crab roll—exceptional in every bite. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything here. Everything is top quality, and the service is impeccable.

My favourite part about my visit here was the service. We were well catered for by our servers. The attention to detail and quality of service is one of the best i’ve experienced in London. We ordered 4 starters (oysters, tataki, kale salad, ceviche) which were delicious. The squid ink paella, which served four of us, was excellent.

Amazing food and fantastic staff. As a Spaniard living in London, this place is a must for me. The Mediterranean rice paired with their alioli trio is absolutely delicious. The food truly makes the difference, but what really sets this place apart is the team — they’re incredibly professional and welcoming. A special thank you to David and Luis, who bring the very best of Spanish hospitality to the UK.

Your place in London for the perfect paella valenciana experience cooked in wood fire. We also had the black ink rice which was delicious! We were served by David who was an excellent host and provided a super professional service. We felt like home! An amazing selection of wines too! This was my third time and defo will be more. Highly recommend.

As a Valencian person, I extremely recommend this place. Went with my partner (Valencian as well) and we had the best paella we could have ever had in London. Food in general was delicious (including starters and dessert), and honestly, the balance between quality and price is more than fair. I would like to highlight the service; everyone was so friendly and attentive. I will repeat without any doubt. Special mention to the waiter (I am sorry I am not able to remember his name) from Ourense. He, alongside another of his Spanish colleagues, made us feel at home. Thank you!

When my partner and I visited, there had been a glitch in the reservation system and they were overbooked. I also found out they were understaffed due to illness, and there was an event upstairs - and if I hadn't been told, I'd never have known it! Our experience was wonderful. We ended up seated in the bar section instead of the main restaurant, but it did not lack atmosphere (in fact it almost felt like our own private dining room), we were given complimentary drinks, dessert and a discount on the main, all to make up for an issue that I probably wouldn't have realised was a problem in the first place! The manager and all staff were also consummate professionals - no hint of the stress they must have been under came through. I visited with someone who isn't a big seafood fan, so I'll definitely be back with a different co-diner to try the squid ink rice!

Amazing place. Great food. Lovely people. Special thanks to David for making us feel welcome and such great service. The food was wonderful and we left full and happy. Kiko cooks amazingly. Seeing the paella cooking is an event in itself. Definitely going there again.

It’s not easy to find authentic paella in London, so we were very happy to find that this place does. Cool atmosphere without being excessively trendy, and very nice food. Also very happy with how they looked after my wife’s allergies (although the QR code didn’t seem to work). We had excellent service from David, Mariana (the sommelier), and Adria - all providing charming service and taking the time to ensure we really enjoyed our meal.

The music was great in the bar area as we waited to be seated . Had champagne whilst we waited and when sat through had to ask waiters to bring through. Took a while when there was a lot of staff on. and the front of house girl, didn’t seem like she wanted to be there . However the food was great. Had steaks which was delicious and the starters were a good sharer. And the paella was a tad burnt, when scraping out . But maybe because we took longer to eat the meat selections,it was perhaps left longer?! Overall was great food otherwise. Would still recommend to go!

A beautiful, large restaurant space with open kitchen and contemporary Spanish cuisine. Delicious food, not the best service, waited ages to have our plates cleared whilst we had a business lunch. Otherwise excellent!

If you’re looking for a dining experience that leans heavily into "theatricality," Arros QD in Fitzrovia delivers. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this isn't your average tapas joint. It’s a high-end, high-concept temple to Spanish rice, led by the legendary Quique Dacosta. The Showstopper: The Open Fire Kitchen The heartbeat of the restaurant is the massive six-meter open-fire stove. Sitting on the ground floor is a must; watching the chefs orchestrate a dozen or more paellas at the exact same time over leaping wood flames is mesmerizing. The smell of woodsmoke adds an "invisible ingredient" to the atmosphere that really sets the mood. The Food: From Fire to Table The menu is impressively varied, catering to more than just the rice-obsessed: Meat Options: The wood-fired grills are top-tier. The Iberian Presa is stunningly tender, and for those in a group, the 40-day aged Tomahawk is a masterclass in charcoal cooking. Vegetarian Options: Unlike many traditional Spanish spots, vegetarians aren't an afterthought here. The Mushroom Rice with truffle cream and the Braised Cauliflower with cashew nuts are genuinely accomplished dishes. The Bread & Cheese: Do not skip the Olive Oil Coca Bread—it is delicious, salty, and perfect. The "Cheese Stones" (parmesan and manchego cream in a cocoa butter shell) are a technical marvel and a total flavor bomb. The Catch: The Price Tag Here is where the "exorbitant" reality kicks in. While the staff are excellent—highly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive—you can’t help but wince at the bill. The bread and cheese are highlights, but when you realize you're paying nearly £10 for a small portion of bread or £9 for a few "stones," you start to do the mental math. The paellas often start at £30–£50 per person, and while the socarrat (the crispy rice at the bottom) is authentic, the price-to-portion ratio feels steep. Final Verdict Go for the theatre, stay for the flavors, but bring a heavy wallet. It is undoubtedly some of the best Spanish food in London, but you are paying a massive premium for the Fitzrovia zip code and the Michelin-starred name.

Great food, good atmosphere and amazing service. We had the brown crab salad and the kale salad, both were very tasty. The squid from the fire was amazing, grilled to perfection and the portion was generous. We came here for their paella and it did not disappoint. There are many options on the menu, we picked the Mediterranean rice, the rice itself was full of flavour and the red prawns, sea bass pieces on top were very tasty. We had the apple pie and almond ball as the desserts, both were very good as well. Overall a great experience, will definitely come back again.

Mediterranean paella was great, red prawn very flavourful⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tuna tataki doesn’t tasted too “spanish”, with the japanese edamame and seaweed. Small portion, sauce is bit too sour

It's a gorgeous place with a fun atmosphere and totally worth it if you want to splash out for a special occasion. The squid ink paella and the baby lamb were both great. The coca bread and aioli deserve a special mention: the bread is light and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside — delicious! I was less impressed with the hen of the woods and the desserts. A lot of effort goes into the chocolate 'cake' and the pumpkin something, but they fail to convince. Enjoy the delicious meat and paella, then walk to Gelupo for dessert!

My Spanish dentist took us to have dinner there, said it serve best paella in town. And to our surprise it were not as good as we thought, the black ink rice way over salty, the other two taste also very ordinary. To say that as we always travel to Spain and taste authentic paella from different part of Spain including Valencia. The starter portion is small and pricey, sangria were strange taste and very weak, can't believe been charged 14 pounds per glass . In the end we paid nearly £900 for four starter, three paella, two desserts, two bottle of Spanish wine and four cups of sangria, two bottles of Spanish beer. Definitely we won't go back.PS, the service were very slow, the food been cooked( we saw it from our table) but it took a long while to delivery to our table.

As someone from Alicante, Spain, I was excited to try ArrosQD, a restaurant specializing in paellas and rice dishes cooked over fire. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the high expectations, especially given the premium pricing. To start, the front-of-house host was unwelcoming and unfriendly, setting a negative tone from the beginning. The waitstaff, none of whom were Spanish, lacked knowledge about the dishes, which diminished the authenticity of the experience. Despite the restaurant being half-empty, we waited over 30 minutes for our wine, and service was generally slow and uncoordinated. We requested to change tables due to uncomfortable seating, and this took some discussion with a host who wasn’t particularly accommodating at the beginning (she moved us finally). When our starters arrived, they brought alioli and bread at the wrong time, and they even tried clearing plates before all our starters were served. To top it off, one shared starter arrived with cutlery for only two, although we were a group of four. As for the food, the squid ink paella was overly dry, and the socarrat (the crispy bottom layer of the rice) was more burned than caramelized. One of the paellas required a £12 upgrade per person (as the one we ordered had mussels and there wasn’t mussels availability) without offering much flexibility in ingredient swaps. Overall, given the high price and numerous service issues, I wouldn’t return. For a better experience, I’d recommend the Iberica chain, which offers better food and hospitality at a more reasonable price, but I guess all depends on the day.. To finalise, I’d say not everything was bad, the starters were tasty and yummy.

J
Jie Chen

Really a big disappointment. The waiter said we just have 2 hours, but we’ve been waiting our dish for more than 40 minutes. The rice was too salty and undercooked , I gotta drink water to swallow it. And we don’t have a light overhead, so it’s too dark to have dinner

J
Judy S

Appears to mostly attract corporate meetings. Starters and initial dishes (burrata, lamb churrasco and octopus) were fantastic. Cocktail was smoky and delicious. Unfortunately, the whole experience was marred by the other aspects of the evening. The main star and the reason we had eagerly anticipated this restaurant, the Mediterranean paella we had ordered, was extremely lacklustre and of poor quality. It lacked a crispy base and was excessively salty and honestly tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while and had been reheated. Having a price point of £39pp was completely unjustified, I would rank this paella at the bottom of those I have had. The fire alarm also went off multiple times and the entire restaurant began filling up with smoke that was coming from the kitchen. However, the staff continued acting as if nothing had happened while the kitchen was unable to serve any further dishes. My friend’s eyes started watering and I started coughing as the smoke took 30 mins to dissipate. I then returned home with all my belongings, hair and clothes stinking of smoke. The waiter that had been assigned to our table also never returned to take our order (he was facing the wrong direction the entire time so we had to flag a different waiter) and our water was not topped up at all during the entire time we dined there. The final straw was being charged a completely different, higher amount upon paying for the bill (it appeared to be a different table’s bill) and having to get this refunded to then pay the correct amount. I am still waiting for the refund to go through despite being told “it should be immediate”. It was a truly appalling and abysmal experience for such an establishment.
