Our favourite kbbq in NYC. It’s so fantastic. Actually no notes, you can’t go wrong with anything. The cold noodles are actually so wonderful. And ofc the kbbq is just excellent. Great service too.

It is one of the finest places to enjoy Korean cuisine. The staff is attentive and quick. The tables and cutlery are well maintained. It was easier to get a table around 2 on a holiday. There's ample parking nearby. What deserves a special mention? Food is superb. No complaints. The tables are cleaned thoroughly after every session. The drinks menu is rich and diverse. What could be better? Nothing, they are doing a great job.

Today, I had the opportunity to enjoy Korean cuisine for the second time at this restaurant. I ordered the grilled mackerel set, which was served with steamed rice, a delicate steamed egg, and five assorted side dishes. The total cost, inclusive of tax, was $27.16 This set is ideal for solo diners and is reasonably priced considering the quality and portion size. Additionally, the menu offers a wide selection of dishes, catering to a variety of preferences.

Best Korean BBQ in New York! Jongro Sanghoe always provides high-quality, fresh meat and excellent service. The staff is friendly and well-trained. One of the best things about Korean BBQ is that the staff grills the meat for you, and they always do it with great care and kindness. This time, we ordered pork neck and bibim naengmyeon, and both were fantastic. The portion sizes were just right, and everything was delicious. Truly the No.1 Korean BBQ restaurant in New York!

Jongro BBQ is peak meat. I ordered Galbi combo with Soft Tofu Stew, Seafood Pancake and Seafood Bibimbap It was good I finished 2 bowls of rice 🍚 Water tasted good The kimchi is fire 🔥 Definitely coming back here

Finally tried Jongro BBQ. This building used to be the McDonald’s a long time ago 🤣. We called in advance for a table of 10 and they were able to reserve for us. This place is a la carte and on the more premium side, we wanted something different than the AYCE Korean bbqs across the street. The interior is beautiful, wooden tables and pillars, plenty of tables, and nice decorations. We started off with the steamed egg, mandu 🥟, seafood pancake, tteokbokki, japchae noodles, bibimbap, fried rice. I love the multiple grills on the table, the staff is able to heat up things or use it for grilling, it’s very versatile. Lettuce, a bunch of side dishes, and sauces are available for us on our table. You can also have side dishes refilled. The dishes we ordered were really good!!! My favorite part of Korean bbq is definitely the dishes besides the meat! Highly recommend that you order the above mentioned items. After, we ordered the beef/pork belly combo, and then subsequently the beef only combo after. The meat selections were great, tender, and high quality. It is definitely on the pricier side but the service was so good and the staff cooked and cut everything for us. The total for our bill for 9 adults and one child was around $500. I would come back with family!

Great service, great food. The menu is reasonably priced and portions are generous. The experience is fun with some of the food getting cooked right at the table. as part of the meal, they bring out an array of appetizers to sample while you're waiting for the main course. I got the short ribs, for which I savored every bite. The service is worth mentioning, as well. They have a large staff that is extremely helpful and ready to serve. Overall, a great experience.

Very good atmosphere and a great place for family dinner. They offer good quality prime kalbi and beef belly. The spare ribs soup is flavorful and delicious. They also made nice crispy seafood pancakes ~ Enjoyed our time here!

On non-busy days, the workers would immediately sit you down , no wait at all except for when it is busy .I’ve been going here for quite a long time and the same order I get always hits the spot, they first serve many foods to eat on little plates ,(I love to eat the seasoned broccoli that they give, sometimes I ask for more) . I always get the marinated beef and it’s quite flavorful combining it with rice, the fluffy eggs taste good too!! I always like to pair up my beef with the lettuce that they gave us . The service is nice too, you could ask for scissors to cut up your own beef and they will be glad to help u .

Great value for Korean table side bbq. We ordered med size marinated beef package and it came out with many side dishes. Steamed egg, soy bean soup, and many good condiments. Service was great and the server knew how to cook beef. Had a great time at date night with my husband.

I have tried Korean BBQ before but this was the best experience I ever had. I loved wrapping the freshly grilled meat in pieces of lettuce with some delectable toppings and sauce and eating it like a burrito! I do wish they cleared dirty plates from the table without being asked but overall the service was good. I would definitely come again!!

The barbecue is good but don't get the meals. For the short rib with rice on hot stone, it is 20$+ for only 4 pieces of meat. And each of them are bite sized. The taretare is also frozen

9 Years Later – A Huge Disappointment I used to rave about Jongro’s lunch special, but my recent visit left me extremely disappointed—and still hungry—after ordering their $22.50 bulgogi and soup combo, tips included, spent $45 for two. The portion was shockingly small, and the taste was terrible. The meat seemed like leftovers with a strange smell, which made it hard to eat. If they can’t serve a proper lunch special, it would be better not to offer one at all. A lunch special should feel special—a decent meal at a slightly more affordable price. Instead, this felt like a rip-off. Honestly, a $10 lunch box from H-Mart looks and tastes a hundred times better.

I can’t believe I spent $52 on this kind of prime kalbi. The macaroni salad was clearly expired—it had a sour, spoiled taste. This place definitely isn’t run by the same owner as the one in K-Town. The food quality is way lower, but the prices are just as high. Don’t not come here, go to K-town.
