Perfect place to eat during these cold winter days. The ramen is very flavorful, fried oysters have a soft crunch and the spicy dumplings are just right ! Not too spicy not too mild ! Matcha IPA gives the right kick alongside the Thai iced tea. Turned my ramen into a combo too 🙏definitely coming back all winter🙏
The Experience: We had a 7 PM reservation, but after hitting some brutal traffic, we ended up ditching the car and walking. The location is very unassuming—keep your eyes peeled, because we literally walked right past it! The Atmosphere: Once inside, the space was smaller than expected, but in a very nice way. We were seated in a private closed-in booth with a curtain, which was a nice touch. It felt very secluded and cozy. They also have a convenient call button in the booth for ordering and service, so you never have to hunt down a server. The Food: We ordered the Honeycomb Appetizer Platter and two "C" Combo Chicken Ramen Platters. The Ramen: Absolutely delicious and surprisingly filling. The Sides/Drinks: The iced tea was excellent, and the bulk of the appetizers were good as well. I'm not a big edime fan, but I was told they were good. Price: Prices were reasonable. Complete meal for two (appetizers, entree, drinks, dessert) was just under $90. I can't complain. Verdict: Altogether, every piece of the meal complemented each other perfectly. It was a great experience from start to finish. From the food, to the privacy and atmosphere. I will definitely be going back!
Favorite ramen place in New York City! I’ve tried various ramen restaurants and I can without doubt say this is the best one so far. Personally, I always order the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and it never disappoints! Good for spicy lovers! Ambience is cute too— from the music to the rooms!!!
Food was prompt, fresh, and delicious. Popcorn chicken - crispy and tender Fish seasoned Fries - seamless and crunchy Sauce - the cherry on top! Curry Ramen - rich broth, meat was juicy, and noodles had the right texture to soak the flavor Staff were professional, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a genuine restaurant from the region bearing its origin Would definitely come back!
We, 3 adults and 2 kids, all liked our ramens! The noodle and soup were very well balanced. The dish would had been better if the braised porks were warm in the soup. (I understand the egg being a little cold.) The service was okay, but it was very hot and noisy sitting right next to the kitchen.
Perfect place to go after a cold winter day all at a reasonable price. Loved the texture of the noodles, the tenderness of the skirt steak and the warm broth.
I had a amazing here overall. The ramen broth was flavorful and clearly made with care — rich without being too heavy. The noodles had a good texture, not overcooked, and the toppings were fresh. The pork was tender and well-seasoned, and the egg was cooked just right. The place itself has a nice atmosphere, casual and comfortable, making it a good spot to eat in. Service was friendly, though it did take a bit of time for the food to come out when it was busy. A couple small things kept it from being perfect — the portion size could be a little bigger for the price, and I wish there were more customization options for spice levels or add-ons. That said, the quality of the food definitely makes it worth coming back.
The food was amazing for my first time getting ramen with my friends. Two floors, nice space. Service was mostly good.
There are two types of people in this world. Those that eat ramen and those that eat Top Ramen. If youre an avid ramen enthusiast and go out of their way to find a good bowl of ramen, this is worth a skip. As I believe you will not be impressed. If this is your first time trying something outside of a package or you are trying to introduce your friends to ramen, this place is worth trying. There are a number of locations around New York City, this particular one in Flushing is a bit tucked away. They have very attractive combo sets and enough of a selection (even vegetarian) that there will be something for everyone. Excluding their vegetarian ramen, they serve Tonkotsu and Shoyu broths with variations that include spicy miso. Their noodles are wavy instead of straight so if you like that little extra bounce with your noodles it is a plus. They have a reward system where at the bottom of the bowl (once you finish your soup) you can be rewarded with either a free drink, popcorn chicken, dessert, and one other (i forgot) on your next visit. I think it is a rather fun and clever way to make sure you return!
Simply good ramen. The black garlic broth was on point. The portion is on the smaller size but the flavor is fantastic. Recommended
The workers were very welcoming and polite. They seated my friends and me in a small private room. I ordered the katsuobushi pork ramen topped with braised pork belly, scallions, katsuobushi, shichimi, nori, bamboo shoots, sesame, and corn. It was warm and deep, perfect for the cold weather. The only complaint I have is that there could’ve been more toppings, but overall, great experience!
I could not come here last time as there was a long wait time, but I was able to get a table on my 2nd attempt. The food are delicious and the waitress was polite and helpful. We ordered a combo set and omurice. The demi-glace was suggest for the omurice since it was sweeter, but the waitress also claims the curry sauce was just as good. The noodles had good flavor, especially the spicy Miso Ramen. If you are not a fan of spicy food, do not worry since the spice level can be adjusted. The desserts were also sweet and beautiful looking! My advice is to plan your arrival since it could be crowded and there may be a long wait time.
Honestly I usually come here for the ramen lunch combo and the food is decent, there was a time thou our desserts had sour spoiled milk but the server helped us replace it once we voiced our concerns. However I was very disappointed with the collab, the tonkatsu part was extremely small compared to the picture and I’ve seen other influencer videos where theirs matched the photo. I’m not sure if its just me or a kitchen mishap, but the tonkatsu was extremely tough & chewy to bite into, the breading itself was fine though. The fried shrimp was good. But half of the rice was hard, the kind you eat thts like at the bottom of the rice cooker and you can barely chew. Maybe bc it was the evening thts why, so leftover rice? The curry sauce was not bad, not too spicy. The chasu prom bun’s bun part was fluffy and soft but the actual meat inside tasted terrible. Overall normally i dont mind go to here, maybe it was just a bad day. But if u’re going for the ultraman combo, go to another branch to be on the safe side
Had early dinner here before going to the concert at Citifield. Food was good but service was terrible. Every table has a bell to call the waiter. We pressed the bell and nobody came. 30min later, out of the blue, a waiter shows up and yells: what do you want? Very rude. Then we were ready to leave so we pressed the bell to get the bill. Nobody. We pressed a second time and still nobody. I had to go see someone at the counter for someone to come. Really not impressed with this place.
Lack of service when you press the button in the booth ruined the whole visit. My GF ran out of water and wanted another, and my GFs mom just wanted a fork because she was having a hard time eating the noodles with the chopsticks. They only came straight away with the bill as soon as you press the Pay button. Simple service things of ignoring customers calls shouldn't be this difficult. Writing this review stinks because when we asked a local, they said this was the place to go for great ramen.
I visited the Flushing location and the experience was very disappointing. I had to walk in and actively ask to be seated—no one was at the front desk, and I watched a family wait around 10 minutes without being acknowledged. Staff behind the bar and nearby were scrolling on their phones, and one server was sipping coffee while scrolling right next to guests. Delivery bags were placed right in front of diners, leaking personal phone numbers and creating clutter with boxes everywhere. I was given a paper cup and had to ask for water, and later I was handed the wrong receipt. Overall, service felt disorganized and inattentive. There’s nothing wrong with the food itself, but the management, cleanliness, and service at this Flushing location are detrimental to the Kyuramen brand. This location seriously needs better front-of-house coordination and attention to basic restaurant standards.
