We didn't have reservations for Valentine's Day, but fortunately, the restaurant still welcomed guests. We ordered their specials along with artichoke appetizers and a recommended bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. My husband and I enjoyed our meals, with the creamy artichoke appetizer standing out as the best dish. The service was excellent, and even though the place was busy, we never felt neglected, making for a wonderful experience.
Delicious and wonderful atmosphere. The server (K) was so delightful 😊! Her recommendations were spot on. Service was also well timed. The out door area is covered with heaters and fire places. Made everything feel so warm. For the garlic fry lovers, they use real garlic, so yes! They were some of the best fries I've had. The happy hour menu had lots of tasty options and the cocktails/mocktails were so good! They have shareable plates which was nice great selection an there is something for everyone.
Back Bistro treats us so well every time. The service is always great. I took my parents out who were visiting from out of state. Our server, Drew provided excellent recommendations on both drinks and food that were a hit! It was really nice that he remembered me from a previous visit over a month ago. That level of attention to detail goes a long way in the food service world. Also shout out to the rest of the staff, chefs for quickly preparing such a delicious meal and the bartender, Garrett, for always making the best cocktails! After your first visit to Back, you will definitely want to come back soon!
Our company had our Holiday Party here. The manager, AJ, did a great job preparing the place for our gathering. He coordinated everything we needed several weeks before the date and made sure our requests were followed. Service on the day of the party was excellent. All food came out as scheduled, and everything were delicious - from the appetizers to the steak/salmon and desserts. We will definitely come back here for future group gatherings.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Back Bistro in Folsom, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled in the Palladio, Back Bistro offers a chic yet cozy atmosphere perfect for any occasion. We were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The culinary delights began with the Eggs Benedict, which was perfectly executed with creamy hollandaise sauce and perfectly poached eggs. The French Toast was a delightful surprise, rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness. For the main courses, we tried the Short Ribs and Steak and Eggs. The Short Ribs were tender and juicy, falling off the bone, and the Steak and Eggs were cooked to perfection, with a flavorful sear and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance of Back Bistro adds to the experience, with elegant decor and a relaxing vibe. Their craft cocktails are exceptional, complementing the dishes wonderfully. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, making our visit even more enjoyable. Back Bistro truly stands out as a gem in Folsom’s dining scene. Whether for a casual brunch or a special dinner, I highly recommend Back Bistro for its outstanding food, excellent service, and charming atmosphere. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu!
The lamb burger was amazing and tasty, highly recommended! Great selection of entree salads which I will have to come back and try. The goat cheese appetizer was spectacular. It came with an optional side salad that was fresh and delicious. I’m embarrassed to say I forgot to take a picture as I dove right in. Doing some OMAD fasting so was pretty hungry when I arrived. The shortbread was homemade and the strawberries were sliced thin and whipped cream perfection. The coffee was remarkable and from a local roaster and French pressed! Back Bistro is the kind of place that takes care and thoughtful attention to their menu, dishes, and environment. The service is outstanding and attentive. They have a huge outdoor seating area as well. Will definitely be on my list of favorites in the Folsom area.
My husband took me for brunch on my birthday and it was soooooooo good 🤤 My new mimosa spot, for sure. Bottomless 🥂 $18 a person. We both got the Local moco, The meat just fell apart in my mouth and the gravy was on point! I don't mess around when it comes to my gravy. LOL but really. Added a side of country potatoes and I'm happy I did because the were so good.
This is my second review of this place. We went for Happy Hour. We opted to sit indoors. The place was not too crowded and service was prompt. All dishes we ordered were very good and tasty. We enjoyed the steak and potatoes which was juicy and delicious. The Champagne cocktail from the Happy Hour menu was very tasty.
A culinary delight from start to finish! This eatery offers a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. Each dish, from the goat cheese fritters to the grilled chicken and gnocchi, was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. The sticky toffee cake and seasonal crème brûlée sealed the deal. Impeccable service and unforgettable flavors make this a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Pleasantly surprised.....in the heart of Palladio in Folsom is a restaurant that caught my eye, Back Bistro. Today I made a stop just after 3pm, what a find! Happy hour everyday from 3 to 6pm. Great selection of happy hour appetizers and drinks. My favs were the Tequila Sour, Ahi Poke Wontons, Philly Cheese Steak Sliders, and Cajun fries. Limited but good beer specials as well. Great bar service, good value and specials, see pics. The place does not disappoint. I am definitely coming back.

Amazing service, full of fast working employees! An empty plate wouldn’t sit on my table for more than 2 minutes before it was taken. The atmosphere is so comforting yet elegant. Comfortable seating! Amazing cocktails! We started with the pork belly, it was so crispy but tender and juicy. I got the prawns and polenta and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection! My wife got the braised short rib and subbed for the garlic crème fraiche mashed potatoes, they were so buttery! Every bite of the short rib fell off without pressure. I will be coming here monthly!! After note: who is on aux because every song is a bop
We enjoyed an absolutely superlative evening at “The Back Bistro” last night! From the affable and helpful staff, through delicious cocktails to an unbelievably good dessert, EVERYTHING was first rate! Kudos to the chef! His dinner creations were shockingly tasty! AND, the bartender provided the very best in cocktails! Every aspect of our visit was unexpectedly delightful. Our thanks to Colin, the manager, as well! We WILL be back!
Our food was delicious and the overall vibe of the restaurant was calm and classy. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and sat. Zoie was especially kind and helpful and had a gorgeous smile. Our server, Garrett, was very fun and we enjoyed chatting with him!! All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and we will for sure be coming back :)
We visited Back Bistro for dinner and the food and general atmosphere was amazing. And a shout-out to our waiter, AJ. He was so fun and gave excellent recommendations! We’ll definitely be visiting again!

I had an amazing lunch today. I ordered the burger, medium, with a side of fries. It was cooked perfectly, and the waitress Jordan was pleasant and prompt with everything. Dinner there is always on point t, but the lunch may be a hidden gem! Check it out!!
Back Bistro is marketed as an upscale California restaurant serving up American entrees in a polished and intimate environment. Does it live up to this? Well here’s the review: There were nine of us, six from out of town and three local. It’s our first time here even for the locals. Our criteria for selecting this place was that it had to offer an intimate dining experience with great food (with vegetarian options) and good drinks. We came here for dinner on a Tuesday (2/6/24) evening. Made reservations a few days prior for 5:45pm. Our table was able ready for us by the time we arrived. The restaraunt is located in Palladio, a neat and clean little shopping area. Parking along the street was impossible even for a Tuesday, but there were plenty in the garage. The restaurant is surprisingly smaller than what I was expecting. There’s patio seating outdoor that adds to the dining area which look like it might be a cool place to dine at during the warmer months. The interior decor is very neat and polished; definitely fitting of a more upscale restaurant. Definitely a 5/5. Our server (didn’t get a name… SORRY!!) was fantastic. A young man that paid enough attention to us but didn’t over do it. Service is a 5/5. As a group, we ordered some appetizers which included Ahi Poke, Goat Cheese Fritters, Cheese & Charcuterie, and Goat Cheese Fritters. All turned out great especially the Goat Cheese Fritters. Appetizers were a solid (5/5). Our dinner orders included Vegan Stir Fry, Grilled Chicken and Gnocchi, Scallops and Prawns, and House Cheese Burgers. The food arrived within 15-20 minutes after ordering. I surveyed the group on their dish. Presentation review were all very nice, a solid 5/5. Taste fell a little short however. While it was good, it wasn’t exciting, not something that one would crave for. Most would give their dish about a 4/5. Personally, I had ordered the Grilled Chicken and Gnocchi. My dish turned out ok but not great. The gnocchi was good and but with very few pieces of chicken in it. The chef had used WAYYY too much garlic that it took over the entire dish. Taste wasn’t bad however and I’m not a garlic fan. Portion size was much smaller than I had expected. Granted it IS a bistro but was expecting more. I would give my own dish about a 3/5. The drinks… all came out REALLY GOOD and did not disappoint. We had ordered Margaritas, Moscow Mules, and Barrel Aged Old Fashioned. Everyone in our group enjoyed what we ordered. A solid 5/5. We also got dessert ordering pretty much one of each from the menu to share. The Sticky Toffee Cake definitely tops the list as the favorite. Our bill came out to be about $75 per person with tax and tip for the experience which included appetizers, two drinks, and dessert. It’s definitely pricier for the dining experience. Overall value to price ratio is probably a 4/5. Overall experience is about a 4/5. Do not expect to walk away full when dining here. Personally I walked away feeling hungry given what I had ordered. If not for the great company we were with, the experience may be lower. Do check this place out if you’re in the area. The place is marketed as polished and intimate. It definitely lives up to it. Make sure you’re with good company however, grab a couple of drinks and hang for a while. Food is good but it’s not the highlight IMO. The drinks were. Cheers! We had a reservation for a large birthday party. The service was great! Our waiter was very accomidating & nice. The menu had a good selection of choices. And our food arrived quickly. Great atmosphere, we really enjoyed ourselves.
My friends and I ate here for a surprise Bachelorette dinner and service was amazing! The food and drinks were so delicious. We got the Valentine’s Day 3 course meal deal for $69 per person. Making a reservation was super easy and even paying for the food was easy because all we had to do was scan the check and pay with Apple Pay. That is a must for me! The reason I didn’t rate 5 stars because it was a bit pricey, but overall… I definitely recommend coming here. Thanks for making it such a fun, easy and enjoyable experience Back Bistro! They even gave us a semi private room which was just a cherry on top ❤️. Two elderly ladies came to congratulate my friend on her marriage and I just loved that.
Back Bistro has a pretty good happy hour that I'd be tempted to go to again. The bar is nice and the mixed drinks and appetizers were appealing. As far as dinner goes, the indoor dining area wasn't very cozy. We ordered a New York strip medium rare and it arrived almost well done. It's not often I send food back but for the price being charged I expected the steak cooked as requested. The other dish we had was a short rib. It was ok - mine definitely doesn't look like the "popular" pic here - it was a little messy and covered with some garnish to hide its lack of beauty. The servers did bring a little dessert and sang for the birthday we were celebrating and that was really thoughtful.
Interesting food, style, and location. It almost seems like they are one step from perfection. We came in as a table of 3 for lunch around 1:45pm Thursday (1/18/24). Our server was Colin B. He was attentive and did his job well. The restaurant was extremely slow at this time, we had only seen two other tables sat during our few hour stay. Small note, but for those of you that run cold this restaurant does as well. Our server requested our tab after we had paid, which was fine as I understand they have to leave for the day before the next server shift begins. We received no additional service, water fill ups (we were out of water for an hour), or check ups from other servers or staff during the two hours after we had paid. Understandable, but for a slow day I would expect someone to check on us eventually. Food was very good, though also seems to be one step away from perfection. The Mac and cheese needed more cheese and herbs of some kind. The grilled chicken club and truffle fries were both very good, but nothing you couldn’t get somewhere else. The Caesar salad was the standout dish for our stay, perfect croutons and tomatoes. The steak and potatoes (appetizer) lacked flavor and just needed that extra something to make it stand out. Mac and cheese 4/5 Grilled chicken club + truffle fries 4/5 Small Caesar salad 4.5/5 Steak and potatoes + surf and turf 3.5/5 Quite the nice location, and we are interested in coming back for brunch one day. Hopefully management is able to take that extra step and makes this restaurant one of the best in Folsom. For local reviews or travel content you can find us on most socials @sunsetourist

There is a decent happy hour menu with decent prices, however the portions are extremely smaller than the regular menu portions. I'm not a big girl, and I don't eat very much but I finished the appetizers within a couple bites. The service is great. The waiters are attentive. I've only ever ate on the patio so the atmosphere is pleasant. I just really wish the persons were a little larger and they didn't try to trick us with the decent happy hour prices.

Had been wanting to try this place for quite a while based on neighbors recommendations. The food looks So Good! My cousin, girlfriend and I stopped in for a drink, were able to order from the railing as instructed because the bar counter was full. We were pretty excited when the server offered an ounce of fresh lime juice for each of our cocktail requests. Freshly squeezed lime is always a wonderful addition. However a few minutes after our order was taken, we were told by the same server that we needed to order food instead,d and that no drinks would be served. 😔 We had reservations across the street for dinner so we left with no fabulous cocktails and had a nice dinner at Pier 50 sushi but without cocktails, as we don't drink soju, sake or the types of beer or wine they serve. 🫤
