I decided to meet with a dear friend for lunch and..... Midwk lunch was a hit! Lisa, our server, was amazing! She was very attentive and helpful. The manager on duty was great as well. They were both very nice and personable. The food came quickly and tasted great! We had the Calamari, Fried Catfish, and also the Blackened Catfish. Everything was hot, fresh tasting, and flavorful. I will definitely be back. The portions are of a good size as well. This was definitely a good first visit.

Megan was amazing. Diablo sauce was Hot!! So excited to find something that made me feel like it was hot. Crab was slightly overdone. They had crawfish but it’s end of Jan and they’re a little small. Can’t wait for March when they get the right size. We will be back again.

I had the blackened catfish, it was wonderful; so tender & flavorful. The broccoli was also great, cooked to perfection. The rice was a bit lacking, no flavor. Also had the hush puppies, those were very good; firm outside & tender inside, just right. They tasted really good in their tarter sauce. Was also able to try the ocra, that was also very good; great flavor & not overcooked. My wife had the crab daddy feast, she really enjoyed it. My father-in-law had the MVP, he also was very impressed; loved it. I was disappointed by the service charge, this was ultimately the gratuity. I'm not a fan of being forced to pay 20%, let me decide how much I want to tip. Would have given 5 stars if not for this.

Awesome food. Terrible service. Spent over "150" for a datenight "to-go order". No napkins, utensils, 1 cup if dipping sauce.for alot of food.. no utensils or a way to eat any of the food. Just a hot literal "clear trash bag/sack" of food. Delicious food tho. Bad Service, presentation and extremely expensive for crab "sacks"... ate in the parking lot... while kids ate Mc Donalds.. luckily "Mc Donald's" gave us extra utensils and napkins... Comes down to training your staff. Management issue honestly. Hopefully, the owner sees this and makes changes. Real review. Real customer... Don't forget to check your bag "well" before leaving the "Shell Shack", which is good advice anywhere.. Don't expect good service it take it for granted. Shout out to Mc Donald's, management team.

Tried Shell Shack for the first time with my wife, and I have to give a shoutout to our waiter, Cliff – he was awesome! Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. My po boy was just okay, and my wife was pretty disappointed with the MVP meal. She thought the seasoning was way too overpowering, and we both agreed it wasn't worth the price.

We have been going to this Shell Shack for over 6 years. I’m not sure if they are under new management but let’s start. Our waiter seemed like he might have had a lot going on. Trying to put our drinks and appetizers in seemed to have confused him. All we got was Crab Tots and Caesar Salad. When I got my salad I had to wait another 5 minutes to get my silverware to eat it. When we got our food my crab legs were cold but I had waited so long I just ate them. The when it was time to pay he left with my card to the back for over 15 minutes when the register was at the bar. Oh and I know the times are right because I kept looking at my watch and the register at the bar was working because I watched someone use it multiple times. I think I might be done with Shell Shack.

I got the shack salad and half of the stuff that was supposed to be on it was missing. Our waitress Megan, who was very nice, went to the back to ask for the stuff that was missing. I nibbled on the salmon and whole waiting. About the third nibble in I noticed the taste was not right, my salmon was completely raw on the inside. I felt so sick after that. The manager came to out table and all she kept saying is that she was sorry. She gave us a 20% coupon to use next time we came but it had to be used in less than 10 days. That's weird. But I won't be going back. I feel so sick because of this.

Took my family here last night…. So disappointed. I ordered a MVP and an extra pound of shrimp. BOTH had RAW and uncooked shrimp in both bags. I was sharing it with my 9 and 12 year old. Sent it back and got raw shrimp AGAIN in both bags. I had already lost my appetite biting into a completely grey piece of shrimp. But I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it so I let them remake it. They did waive the 1 lb of shrimp but didn’t even discount the MVP platter. Woke up this morning with my kids and I as sick as a dogs. Spent almost 200$ and completely unsatisfied. The only plus was the manager and the server were super nice… but I feel like more should have been done and I’m paying the consequences.

Wished it was a better experience but nope. Had driven by here numerous times for quite awhile so I figured what better way to check it out than on my birthday with my wife. From the moment we pulled up, the vibes were mixed. We were promptly greeted and seated. The restaurant was nearly empty at 6:30 pm this Tuesday evening. Our waitress was awkward and not particularly worried about being fast as she sauntered about. We ordered the Crispy Calamari ($11.99) which was more soggy than crispy. For entrees, my wife had the Southern Fried Catfish Platter ($15.99) while I went with the Fried Oyster Platter ($20.99). Thankfully, there were many television sets to watch as we waited and waited and waited before our food arrived. Plating was average as was portion size. My wife’s platter was a letdown as she ended up eating only less than half. I powered through mine but now feel like a greasy, bloated mess. Overall, this was a complete miss. Maybe you will have a better experience than us.

Im a avid crawfish guy. I love to eat good crawfish dont care what it cost. I had a friend tell me about thid place said it was on point. So i drive 1hr over there to eat. I get there and it is a cool placr for sure. Sign says voted bedt Sea food in DFW 8 yrs right. Im thinking man this is going to be good right. I got seated drink order taken. My drink vome with hardly any ice and the tea was soured yep. I ordered my crawfish kitchen sink. Corn potatoes and sausage was extra at this place. My food comes out in a bag. The waiter goes to shaking the bag to get the seasoning on the crawfish. I knew right then and there i messed up. Listen up this place is along ways from Louisiana boiled crawfish. 2lbs of crawfish a corn sausage and 3 little potatoes and a drink was $32. $38 with tip. It wasnt all that good really. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT LOUISIANA STYLE BOILED CRAWFISH!! You will be very disappointed.

I literally almost lost a veneer on the stale French breach that was used for my poboy. Very disappointing, especially considering the price. Won't be back.

We came in at around 7pm and there were like 4 tables. It took them an hour to bring our food out. We ordered a crab daddy feast which included 2 king crab legs. The waitress asked if we wanted to up charge our crab legs so we get bigger ones so yes we did. When out oreder came no king crab legs anywhere to be found! We called the waitress over and she send another lady over to look and at first she didnt see it either so sje just picked 2 legs out of our snow crabs legs and called it kingcrabs legs which they look exactly like the one with the snow crab cluster that we had. My daughter is a waitress at a seafood restaurant in the area and she said those legs were not kingcrabnlegs that we paid for. Anyways, we wont be back here again. I included the so called kingcrab legs in the picture

When we went there a couple years ago it was a good place. Last time we went there we were snubbed. Host said pick anywhere to sit with more than 2 hours to closing. For 30 minutes my wife and I made eye contact with practically every person that works there. No waiter came to us. No person came to our table. There was 2 or 3 other tables in entire place that people sat at. For 30 minutes we sat there. Im not sure if it was because of the way we looked the way we sat at a table. We were ignored for 30 minutes, and when we left they immediately came and pick up our menus. I would recommend the crab place not 2 miles down the highway. Worst experience my wife and I ever had.

I hate having to leave comments like this, but I am so disappointed. I ordered crawfish/sausage through DoorDash. I ordered the kitchen sink with Diablo and I can’t express how horrible it was it was DRY, unseasoned, taste like they boiled it in plain water and took em out to serve, they also taste very old. It’s crawfish season and before I ordered I did call to make sure they were serving live crawfish. Unfortunately I just spent 70 bucks & can’t even eat them. Save your self the money and trip.

I put in an order through Uber eats and got the MVP which I have gotten before at a different location and was really good before but today I got the most scrawny little crab legs that I’ve ever had and tiny bitty shrimps. It tasted very fishy and I was actually really surprised because the last times I’ve gotten shell shack. It was not like this so I’m just confused as to why I got some anorexic crab legs this time being that I had to pay 50 something dollars for barely any meat is crazy. Just a waste of money. The sauce is super good though I won’t lie. I got the kitchen sink, medium sauce.
