Not a whole lot in El Cerrito it's mostly a place between over there and somewhere else, that is except for Romano's Macaroni Grill. So the next time you find yourself between two places you'd rather be..look for Romano's Macaroni Grill, it's not one of those places where everyone knows your name, and its not trying to be ..and that's a good thing. But...What it is, is a place that serves honest to goodness home-cooked style food, delivered hot with a friendly smile at a reasonable price, oh and you don't have to do the dishes! What more could you ask for! 5 stars for sure! ☆☆☆☆☆

Sebastian is a great server. He was Attentive and got our food with speed. Didn’t really try to up sale us, and got us the unlimited bread without us asking for it! We still ended up getting soup and salad and he made sure we got our refills. Best of all, He prioritized our kids! Thank you, dude!

Phenomenal! I had the most wonderful lunch date with my wife today (7/21). The front end manager was our server and she made our visit a perfect experience. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was very elegant and cozy. The food was perfect. All of it. I’m not overselling this at all. Everything, I mean everything was perfect. Hats off to the kitchen staff for the fast and delicious meals. And sincerely thank you for the warm service provided by the Manager. We really needed this today and you made everything sublime.

I wish I knew the name of the front end manager. She was great. My wife and I had lunch here today (7/21) and everything from the ambiance and customer service, to the food and the pricing was just stellar! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If I were to compare this place to other restaurants of the same caliber, Romano’s gets a five star rating and I have to drop everyone else’s rating by a half or one star that I’ve reviewed. I cannot thank her enough for the pleasant experience we had today. And hats off to the kitchen staff! Everything served was delicious and fast! Seriously needed this. Thanks again!

I absolutely love this place. When you sit down you get a fresh loaf of bread with some olive oil with vinegar. The Alfredo pasta is absolutely delicious. Honestly the best wether you like shrimp or chicken, it is the perfect creamy taste. I go out to eat here and go out on dates with my fiance here. Always fun to also catch a warriors game. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I would honestly give them higher stars. I have had no bad experiences with this establishment.

Haven't been here for over a decade! Shrimp Portifino and caeser salad are my fav!!! The cannolli does not disappoint! A must try! Our server, Hollis is exceptional! Remeber that packed restaurant you had to wait for a table? Currently its not like that. You get a great cutomer service and in a timely manner. All of your favorites without the crowds. My only complaint was cold stuffed mushroom appetizer. Everything else was great. They even have a unlimited side salad option.

Great dive bar for the Fremont area. You can bring your own food, great variety of beers on tap. Bartenders are really the best and make very good cocktails. It is a dive bar so usuals will take all the attention. Very nice set up for some evening drinks. Live music, karaoke, poker game nights.

Casual local bar. It has pool & bar games. They have multiple TVs & can show any football game on Sunday. Currently, they have a new owner & the kitchen is being redone so there is no food other than some packaged snacks like potato chips. They have a full bar & soft drinks. Service is friendly, casual & low key.

Great little dive bar. Excellent beer selection. Bartenders are fast and friendly. There's also an outside enclosed smoking area with TV's. The problems I have is that some of the IPA's they have they don't serve you a full pint. It's like 8oz or something, but they still charge you full price. Also, if you come on the weekends they have live bands and the music is WAY too loud. You absolutely can not hold a conversation. If they fixed that I'd definitely start coming on the weekends.

Mojo lounge is one of the few fun night clubs/bars in Fremont. It’s a nice place to hang around, have some drinks and listen to live bands. It has a pool table and darts. And has regular line bands playing in the nights with a small dame floor if you feel like having fun dancing for the beats of the live music. Good place to hang out with friends, have fun and meet new people. And the prices of the drinks are not expensive either.

Went for Bollywood Fusion nite. DJ was ok, transitions btwn songs was good. Was hoping for more creativity. DJ was not the friendliest, kind of a bummer. "Dive bar" with super-friendly bartender; he was attentive to everyone and very aware of who approached his side and in what order. Professional with no attitude. Drinks are reasonable price! Awesome. Door guard, "Wes" was super friendly and respectful to everyone! Checked ID's, and told us to have a great nite! He was talkative, approachable and down to earth. Shared more info about future Bolly nights. Your door person can make or break your night. I invited my Bollywood students, around 15 to meet me. In addition, I ran into my kickboxing students as well! Willing to try it out again one more time for the 28th only because "Wes" promised a fun, positive attitude & friendly atmosphere. We will return!

Been to this place twice, staff is always nice, patrons seem to be a mix of locals and visitors. Locals are both white and blue collar and seem to either be nice or mind their own business. They have touch tunes which is always good in my book. I've only had beer here, no mixed drinks but both times, the people I came with said mixed drinks were good. Yeah I'll be here again.

I hadn't been to this Macaroni Grill in a couple of years. I wasn't disappointed. I had the steak and mashed potatoes dinner as well as a chicken, shrimp, asparagus and spinach fettuccine. It was delicious!!!

2023-11 Went to Macaroni Grill over the weekend and got the lasagne. It surprised me that is was quite tasty! I liked it. Something I would recommend or definitely get again. 3 yrs ago Today, the food chosen was good.

First visit to Romano's in several years and first time visiting this location. Went here before 6pm on Friday and not busy at all and was seated quickly. The fococia bread was hard on the bottom and not quite as fresh. Penne rustica was hot and don't think I would order the mix of chicken and shrimp on the future. It was tasty but little too fishy sauce. Chicken marsala was good. Service was attentive and courteous. I wasn't wowed compared to past visits to other locations. Not a strong recommend for me.

The food tastes okay or better. I've been going here nearly monthly for he last year and the best thing on the menu is the tiramisu. Their espresso machine has been broken at every visit yet espresso is still on the well-worn, beaten up menus. They never have decaf coffee. It's hit or miss if they'll have San Pellegrino water (not the sweetened soda). The service is usually very slow despite the fact that it's not a busy time (1:30 - 2:00 ish). It's like they didn't take pride in their place anymore.

’m not sure, since this was a takeout order from Uber Eats. The food was, honestly, far below expectations. I ordered a chicken Alfredo that barely had any chicken. The spaghetti Bolognese also seemed to have almost no beef. The $10 cheesecake was tiny and felt like something you could get at a supermarket with better quality. The menu is similar to the cheese cake factory, however cheese cake factory 's portion and ingrident is much better.

Like the interior design, the fare is a pastiche of Italian food. Lacking being cooked with love, it should be cooked with skill. For the price point, not much of either was evident. The single server was very nice but she was the only one.

Pretty good food, pretty tasty. My only complaint is that it seems a bit pricey for the overall quality of the food. We got an appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 side dishes and dessert (no alcohol) and it was $120.00 for 2 people. It could have been $150+ if we had drinks on top of that. The food was decent, but I expect better at this price point.

Nice friendly people but bartender treats you like she doesnt care what she serves you. There is a hott waitress thats cool but the other one i tried asking for a beer with tge highest alcohol content and she had no idea how to help me or what i wanted like she doesnt work there so i had to ask a customer and they told me right away and was very helpful. Its an older atmospher that may what ive heard has gang members. The police like to roll in through the parkinglot and check out the car whos drinking so they will catch you on your way out. Also i passed by the place at 12:10am and had a cop follow me with its lights out. I wouldnt drive near that place.

Well, let me tell you, Romano's Macaroni Grill ain't exactly Nonna's kitchen. Let's start with the good stuff: the location is pretty convenient with plenty of parking, which is always nice. We strolled in at 5 PM on a Sunday, and the place was practically a ghost town. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess, but it was a little odd when she just pointed to some booths in the bar area and told us to go sit in one of those. She followed us with an extra plate for the third person in our party and mentioned that the server would be right with us. Well, it took about 10 minutes of sitting there before our server finally showed up and asked what we wanted for dinner. We decided to start with an appetizer and drinks—three sodas for the table seemed simple enough. But both the sodas and the calamari took their sweet time to arrive. There was only one other table in our section, so what was the holdup? We were promised bread when we arrived and were told it was on its way, but it never showed up. Once our main courses came, the disappointment really set in. The Pollo Caprese was underwhelming with tomatoes that were barely passable and massive chunks of what was supposed to be mozzarella. At this point, we asked for the bread again, and the server said, "Oh, I didn't think you wanted it, I didn't put the order in." The bread was a non negotiable for us. Yes, always bring bread. The Italian chopped salad was equally sad, with lettuce that looked and felt lifeless. When our drinks were running low, we had to remind the server for refills, and he looked at us like it was the first time he'd ever heard of such a thing. For the price, this place ain't worth it. If the service was good but the food was so-so, or if the food was great but the service was lacking, maybe I could overlook it. But when both the service and the food are subpar, forget about it. We won't be coming back.

Had a terrible experience at Mojo Lounge We arrived around 1:30 AM, bar closes at 2:00 AM, hoping to enjoy some beers and play snooker. Unfortunately, the staff's behavior ruined our night. Shockingly, the staff treated us badly because of our race. They made rude comments about our skin color and called us brown people. They stopped us from playing our game intentionally, When we asked why they were acting this way, they didn’t even giving us an proper answer. They even took our drinks away from our hands forcefully. They are asking us to leave the place using very offensive words which is very unfair. We want to tell other immigrants and people of color to be careful about this bar and think twice before going to this place . Let's spread the word and fight against racial discrimination. We requesting bar owner to check the CCTV footage and take action against the staff who treated us this way. I'd give Mojo Lounge a rating of -5 stars if I could. Giving it 1 star only because there's no option for lower. I have noticed many other negative reviews about Mojo Lounge, indicating it's not just our incident seems like other people also faced the same that i can see based on their reviews.

I will never step foot in this bar. There were rats in the main bar area.

It was very bad food and service. My wife and I both ended up having stomach problems next morning. My wife ordered spaghetti and they were out of it. Which Italian restaurant runs out of pasta! And that too took them 15 mins to tell us they don’t have the food we ordered. After ordering food in an empty restaurant on Sunday it took them well over 30 mins to get the food. I would not go back there and also I would not recommend anyone to go there. I normally don’t write bad reviews but this restaurant had very low quality and quantity of food for the price they were charging.

Terrible service. The waitress Betty (an old Asian lady wearing glasses) demanded a 15% tip and kept insisting tipping less than that is not ok, and did not offer an option for me and my friends to split payments. We paid Betty 20% in cash just to get rid of her bothering even though she deserved 0. We were very nice. Betty acted very rude and unprofessional. Do not recommend and will not come again. Even if you come, beware of the aforementioned waitress.

I’ve been a regular at this place for some time now, and the food quality has always been consistently great. However, during my recent visit, I did experience some service issues that I’d like to highlight. The unlimited soup and salad, which are usually a delightful part of the dining experience here, were not refilled even once throughout our meal. Additionally, the famous bread and oil, which I always look forward to, were served after the main meal, and only because I inquired about their absence. The same goes for the water service

Everything is looking good and taste terrible here except the bread they provided for everyone. The pasta are way too salty that make me and my aunt unable to finish it. The brussel sprouts are overcooked which made it too bitter. The table and plate was not very clean. There are even flies flying around. Very disappointed for spending that much of money.
