Compared to 3 years ago, this place is like night and day, huge improvement! The fried shrimp drizzled with sweet and sour sauce (from the sweet and sour pork station), the steak, and the mango pudding were the clear winners for the food for me. Avoid the Mongolian bbq unless you can get the flavors just right, sushi was edible, but not the best. Fruit was excellent quality 👍

1st timer at this buffet restaurant and there's a good variety. The choices are good enough. One of the favorite is shrimp, oysters, as well as pork feet. Desserts were good too, not too sweet caramel flan. So far will be a repeat customer.

I recently visited A Star Buffet and Banquets hoping for a great dining experience, but overall it was just okay. For example, the fried rice was a little dry, and the chicken dishes were somewhat bland. The service was polite but a bit slow, especially during busy times. It seemed the staff were a little overwhelmed, which affected how quickly the buffet was replenished. The dining area was clean, but the decor felt somewhat outdated and could use a refresh to make the atmosphere more inviting. Portion sizes were good, and the price was reasonable for an all-you-can-eat buffet. I appreciated that they had vegetarian options, but overall the quality and taste didn’t quite meet my expectations. In summary, A Star Buffet and Banquets is a convenient spot if you want a quick, casual meal with a variety of choices. However, it doesn’t quite stand out in terms of flavor or ambiance. I might come back to try again but probably wouldn’t make it my go-to place.

Worst buffet I’ve been to. Expensive, dirty, bad food. Don’t waste your money. This place is so bad they use plastic utensils. There was kids eating at where the food are. So unsanitary.

As of this review. Mask are required. You can take them off at the table. During the weekday you can get normal plates and utensils. Still have to tell them what drink you want. You no longer have to use your own tongs on getting food. They do have gloves if you wish to put them on. The price from opening till like 1or 2 pm is pretty good. The lunch price. I don't think the food to good enough for me to come and enjoy on dinner prices. Most of the food is decent. Some are hit or miss. The sushi is just alright. There are some that I won't eat at all. I don't know what it is but it is some kind of mush. XD. O don't mean to bash it. Wish they had miso soup but no. I would still recommend it for lunch and know what you want to get and enjoy that food. Right. Staff are pretty good at keeping things clean. Some don't speak English that well but you can get across what you mean. Also on busy days i have seen plastic plates and utensils used again. Just to let you know. // Photos added are when they only had Plastic plates and utensils last year. Things have changed back to some more normal things.

You get what you pay for here. The table was sticky and it seemed like an inconvenience for the Asian waitress to wipe it. Utensils were plastic forks and spoons. The food was mediocre. I do have to say the vermicelli shell was delicious. The ice cream already pre scooped in the freezer was melting. Other than that most of the food was stale. The price for 2 people including drinks was $57 not including tip.

Perhaps decline in quality is temporary? A waitress made a scene when I came back to leave cash tip on the table.. she immediately dropped her voice & tone when she saw.. she'd thought I was trying to take leftover cookie.. I was already walking out with bitten cookies... I didn't see the point in holding an entire round table to finish stale hard nasty almond cookies... I already touched them. Hundred dollars later they can eat biscuits for my dog.... Rude... She didn't need to cause a scene... Perhaps she was going to resell the Bitten touched cookies.. Was rather comical when she saw I was leaving cash.. There's no need to feel special about going to this place.. Hope what appears to be cutting corners works out..

I just finished eating here. Customer service was decent. Dishes weren’t stocked. I had 3 plates, 3x I went around to check if they added more shrimp, luck wasn’t on my side here. $51 for 2 adults. This place is trash. The watermelon didn’t have seeds in it nor did the grapes, sushi was stale as were some desserts, some foods were cold. A peanut butter type of dessert was as hard as a rock. Their chicken sticks had an odd type of taste to them.
