Ran in here to get some fish and chips and I was pleasantly surprised with the prices and the food. The French fries were the bomb! Definitely recommend, but there is very little seating and hard to find parking.
The best place for breakfast in Key west. “Fisherman’s Café in Key West offers a lively, no-frills breakfast experience with real local flavor. Their breakfast sandwiches, Cuban coffee, and guava toast are all excellent, and the outdoor setting by the seaport is charming. Their new bacon-egg-cheese pancake sandwich sounds like a creative and indulgent must-try—combining savory morning staples with the sweetness and fluff of pancakes. If you’re looking for something uniquely delicious to fuel your day in paradise, this spot delivers.”
A must-see place for lovers of good breakfast. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with an attentive and friendly service that makes you feel at home. The dishes are prepared with fresh and quality ingredients, presented in detail and with a flavor that exceeds expectations. The portions are generous, ideal to start the day with energy, and the variety of the menu ensures that there is always something new to try: from classic options such as eggs and pancakes, to more original and creative proposals. The coffee is aromatic and perfectly prepared, the perfect complement to an experience that is enjoyed from start to finish. In short, a restaurant that combines good atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. Perfect for breakfast as a couple, family or friends. Totally recommended!
Walk up restaurant with excellent food. Counter/Table stools. Great menu with lots of choices. Two of our favorites were definitely the fish and chips and the burrito both were excellent.
What can I say…this is a must when visiting Key West. We love tacos and tried many different establishments while we were there, and I can honestly say Fisherman’s Cafe is the best! Too bad they didn’t have lobster that day, so we ordered the pulled pork and fish tacos which were unbelievable. Pulled pork was seasoned well and not salty (which I find too often) and if getting the fish, get it blackened. The food took a bit of time, but it’s expected since it was made fresh. Plantains we’re made just how I like em - soft and sweet. Portions are sizeable so you definitely get your money’s worth. Can’t recommend this place enough…don’t second guess and just go!
This is the best little hole in the wall in Key West. We were only on island for 4 days and ended up eating here twice because it was so good. The menu is small and simple. All the food is spectacular. Our whole family are huge foodies and we were all thrilled with everything we got from here. They even have options for the non seafood eaters, a club and a burger, (much appreciated) and I can attest that both are delicious. You walk up to the window, place your order, and it is made fresh while you wait. There is extremely limited seating, so you may have to take it to go, but don't let that deter you. It is more than worth it to have go sit somewhere else and eat it.
Great customer service. Great food. Even tho their menu was very small and the store was very small. But the food was amazing. The fish we got was very fresh and the shrimp wrap was great too. Be sure to get their sauces too.
If you're seeking a satisfying street food experience, look no further than this hidden gem near the old port in key west. The lobster bites and fish tacos are absolute must-tries. The fry was flawless - crispy, golden, and not the slightest bit greasy. Very recommended!
This was such a great choice!! I had the shrimp tacos and my family tried the fish tacos, turkey sandwhich and shrimp wrap. They were all so so good! The value for the pricing is great and everything was truly delicious. The staff was also super nice 💛 Note: limited seating avilable and is outside seating bit has fans.
This place is fantastic! Ordered the Caribbean turkey sandwich and fried plantains. The food was ready in less than ten minutes. The plantains were served piping hot, crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly sweetened. The turkey sandwich was perfect too. It had crisp lettuce and juicy, ripe tomatoes. The counter server came out to check that I was happy with my meal.
We had lobster tacos, catch of the day tacos (yellow tail snapper), and an island bowl. They were all very good. The breakfast looks good too. I’d like to try the guava sesame toast and coffee next time. **Edit** I came back for breakfast and had the sesame guava toast and a cafe con leche. So good
One of my Key West favs! Maybe the best blackened fish sandwich in a town with a lot of great blackened fish sandwiches! Grab one (or one of the other delicious items @ Fisherman's), stroll down Lazy Way, then head down Greene St. to Capt Tony's for a Capt Tony's Amber. Pairing perfection! UPDATE: Temporarily closed, but should be reopening, with a slightly different menu, soon. Please keep the fish sandwich and yucca fries! Please!
Second time I have eaten here and I love it! Food taste is great! Prices are good on some items but a little high on others. Portion size is decent as well. Would go back and eat there again.

This place is always a favorite whenever we're in town. Friendly local (shop small) family-owned and operated. Keep up the great work. They have diversified menu options. Diane D. is the best.
Every time we have eaten here the food has been excellent. Their service was friendly and they use produce grown locally. We will stop here again!

I know I rated the atmosphere a 5 star - and it's exactly what it should be where this is. Counter service, great food, great people. I'm getting something from here every time I can. Thank you George and Diane. Get the coffee. The breakfast sandwich was huge.
Great spot to grab a decently priced (for Key West anyway) sandwich on the go. We opted for the Shrimp Po-Boy and Spicy Chicken wrap. Both were a good size and tasty! The fries were also pretty good. Service was quick and the food was hot. It is also nice they serve their breakfast menu all day. Good spot to grab a coffee before you head out on whatever excursions you have leaving from the marina.
Tiny place but has some outdoor seating possibly good for 3 or 4 couples. Little pricey but food was very good and took about 10ins to serve. Staff was friendly and gave good recommendations. You'll be served with take-out utensils and packaging.
If you find yourself down by the historic seaport--this makes both an affordable and quick breakfast. The staff here are unbelievable kind. I watched a tourist barrage staff with questions for five straight minutes and the staff answered with a smile. I would recommend the visit!

My hawaiin chicken salad wrap was fresh, had a load of delicious crispy seasoned friends, and a good dill pickle. It was made and out quickly. It was a good value for my money.
Oh man, I was disappointed! All the highlighted food photos seem to be from an outdated menu, which the employee confirmed. I showed him multiple items which I came for, and he said they stopped serving them almost 10 years ago. It’s a relatively inexpensive restaurant so I can’t complain too much, and the food was pretty good. The vibe was very cute & fitting for the keys, and they have a couple tables, all outside. We ordered the Chinese chicken salad and the Cuban sandwich. The salad was lacking- I really struggle to pay $15 for a salad that is 90% lettuce- BUT the house-made dressing was good and it was fun to try palm hearts. The Cuban was crunchy and well-made. The battered fries were great! The staff was friendly and another customer said “you’ll definitely be back”.
Small cafe with a service window being the restaurant. Seating is outside. The menu is limited but has some seafood type options. We had the blackened shrimp wrap with fried plantains. It was fresh and the taste was okay. Service was very friendly and patient when questions were asked. The price of the meal is cheap compared to the area it is located.

Lady was rude - chef was rude - no empathy after finding HER hair. Yelled at her staff because there was hair but still took no accountability and have attitude. Disgusting behavior We ordered a breakfast sandwich and found hair in the other half. When we asked for a refund, the staff gave us attitude. The chef only offered 50% off and said, “You want a refund for half a sandwich you ate?” as if we were at fault—when it was their hair in the food. It’s not like we ate it and didn’t like it. We’ve stopped here every year, but this experience will be the last time. The way the lady and gentleman working on 8/17 at 8:00 AM handled the situation was unprofessional and dismissive. Sorry we “inconvenienced” you by finding your hair in our food.
