Me & my husband got married on Valentine’s Day in Galveston & then ate at Landry’s for our wedding dinner. Landry’s was top notch ! Everything from the service, to the food, to giving us a beautiful table with ocean view for our wedding dinner! This IS the place to go!
This place is amazing. Our servers, Shayne and Jymes, provided excellent service, and the food was phenomenal. This will definitely be our go-to place when we’re in town.
José 8's service was great. The garlic flavor bread was a 10 out of 10. I had a wedge salad to start with. The bacon was amazing. I have a dairy and shellfish allergy that they accommodated with excellence. I ordered a bone in Ribeye that was prepared perfectly and had amazing flavor.
Our server Dale was excellent. One of the best waiters that has served me recently. The Oyster Bar Trash was amazing (suggested by Dale). The Founder was cooked to perfection. It had been a while since I had been to the Landry's in Galveston. Now I must decide if I continue going to Kemah or Galveston for my next visit.
Went here last week during our trip to Houston. Wonderfully located restaurant. We were sat with the view of the beach. Only restaurant that took reservations of a party of 8. Seated us in 10 mins. Our server was really good. She kept checking on us constantly. The food was a lot. Lol. They were delicious. The kids enjoyed it as well. Definitely recommend this place to anyone
Went into the restaurant as a party of 4 (me, my parents, grandma), hearing so much good thing about it. After going inside, the vibe immediately struck out. So much energy, so much noise, everyone dressed so nicely, making the 31st night at the restaurant fully mesmerizing inside out. Sarah, who was our server, was the sweetest lady who tried her best to make us feel significant and welcome. We ordered the coastal seafood pasta, IPE fish and chips, and 2 penne Alfredos with grilled and blackened shrimp. Everything was really tasty, it helped as we were very hungry too, the quantity n quality of the dishes were A1. The complimentary Italian bread was so good. Will recommend everyone I know about this place. Yes, its price is on the high end, but it is a high-end restaurant, so not much complains!!
Went for my Aunt's 75th birthday. Our server Melissa gave us great recommendations, kept drinks full and flowing, had such a great attitude and is a master at service. The manager, Michael, was super helpful and kind as well. Would recommend you visit for all occasions for a fantastic meal with great service and a wonderful hospitable atmosphere. 100% would recommend!
We all really enjoyed our meals and service. Our server Amour was amazing and made our dinner awesome. Started with the lobster bisque and it was delicious. Very creamy and good. They gave us some complimentary garlic bread which was amazing with the bisque. Had a top sirloin cooked medium rare and it was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. It came with mashed potatoes and they were on point. I added a lobster tail on the side. It was perfect. Nice addition to dinner. We finished dinner with 2 deserts creme brulee and bread pudding and both were amazing. We had a bottle of the featured wine which was delicious. Great meal. Will return for sure.
I had a great experience. Amy is a wonderful waitress. The food was delicious and there were great selections for the whole family. We Will come back again!
Stopped by Friday night for drink and appetizers. Excellent food and service. The host even opened the door for me. The waitress Ana was very attentive. I said I wanted a single malt scotch and she told me about the Balvenie Scotch "flight." Perfect way to compare side by side. Her description of the appetizers made me want them all but the tuna poke and the octopus really caught my attention and delivered. 5 star for all. Food, Atmosphere and Service.
We booked a privae room for our group tonight. Our server Gerron S was spectacular. He was attentive to the group and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. He made suggestions and listended to the group.
We were spending the weekend in a hotel nearby and decided to dine in. First of all, the location is great. It’s situated on Seawall boulevard, with a view on the Gulf of Mexico, beachfront, near several of the nicest hotel in the area. The wait time wasn’t too bad considering it was Saturday evening on a busy weekend in Galveston, and without a reservation. The staff was very welcoming. The added us on the waitlist for a table and although they advised it would take about 2 hours to be seated, we only waited 45 minutes or so. Once seated, we were greeted by a very nice server who was professional all the way. The food was wonderful. I started with a half dozen oyster on half shelves. It was excellent. Then I ordered a steak while my wife had a pasta plate with some seafood medley. Overall the food was good and serving turnaround was acceptable. I have been to a few Landry’s before and as usual was not disappointed.
Last week I ate here with my family, fiancé and future mother in law. We had a few appetizers to start: Fried Calamari, Crab and Spinach Dip, and Crawfish Bread. The appetizers were quite tasty with the crab and spinach dip probably being the best out of what we had for appetizers. We also had a few cocktails between us along with some quite delicious food. The Almond Crusted Mahi looked and tasted really good if I had to recommend one dish. I personally had the Jumbo Shrimp platter which itself was good and very filling. In retrospect, I probably should have asked for a different side other than onion rings because I wasn’t able to finish it all. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re wanting a nice intimate family get together with a friendly staff, good food, and clean restrooms. One tidbit, beware of the limited parking and don’t be surprised if you’re looking for a spot somewhere close by.
Absolute best fine dining in Galveston, hands down. Our server was amazing and I wish I had asked his name. Landry's, you can call me if you want to find out who our server was using my credit card to backtrack our purchases. It was my wife's birthday and they made it an experience for us, and the food quality was incredible. The price is quite reasonable, if not a bit on the lower end for such exquisite and carefully crafted meals. This is the only time in my life I have ever been actually amazed at a dine-in restaurant and we will absolutely only ever eat here for our fine dining in Galveston going forward. I applaud Landry's and their staff for this experience.
Let me start with this is the best steak I have ever had. Their bread was amazing and their loaded mashed potatoes were also great. For the service it was some of the best I've ever had. The waiter was very polite and even got my brother strawberries without us asking. He also treated us with the best respect. The atmosphere was great and they had very good music for the restaurant. The bathrooms were very clean and the food got there very fast. 5/5 100% recommend.
A group of 7 of my friends and myself enjoyed drinks, appetizers, and dinner. We all ordered an array of items and we each greatly enjoyed our meals… from shrimp, salmon, steak…to meatballs ( to name a few). Our waiter was excellent and the atmosphere was nice.
Landrys Seawall Make the stop. It’s worth the price of admission! I’m not a big fan of crust or thicker shells on bread- I was ready to eat a second loaf of this to myself. I wasn’t terribly pleased with a fluted champagne glass for an IPA… but I guess I get to be extra fancy today. The crush city IPA was a great pairing to the seafood. Not too strong. I remember one of my first oyster Rockefeller- here- decades ago. Today was just as good or better. My favorite dish on their menu. I got talked into the fish and chips- then was filled with instant regret when I watched the surf and turf walk by. The banana foster crepes were flavor perfect but the ratio of ice cream because the crepes were filled made each bite too cold in the mouth. I needed something served warm. Saw the crème brûlée… ugh. Kicked myself again. I know for next time.
Great food made 100x better with the service we received from our server, Shane. He was prompt, kind, personable, quick-witted, and professional from start-to-finish. Even more, his menu familiarity and ability to make quick recommendations / personalized meal adjustments was exactly what you'd hope for from an up-scale restaurant like Landry's. We were also fortunate to be able to talk on a more personable level with him about our shared faith as Christians, and it was certainly a conversation to be remembered. Nothing short of a memorable and wonderful meal!
Eating at Landry’s was an amazing experience. The food was great! I tried their octopus, oysters, and ordered the fish and chips. When it came to customer service, our incredibly awesome server, Shane, was very friendly and so helpful with my family’s ordering! He made our experience feel very comfortable and we enjoyed his hospitality. Shane made sure that all of our needs were met, and he went above and beyond when it came to special requests, providing us with guidance, and making sure we enjoyed every part of eating at Landry’s.
We had a fantastic lunch at Landry’s in Galveston today. The weather was exceptional so we dined on the patio. The music was perfect to heighten our experience. We ordered a crab cake, pasta dish, and a seafood platter. Bada Bing! It was all on point. I also drank a delicious hurricane and let me tell you, Laundry's doesn’t play. They should own the rights to this drink. Last but certainly not least was Gerron!!! He above and beyond stole the show today. His mission was accomplished on service. Please thank him for making our culinary experience a 10 out of 10. We are also thrilled that he helped us to join Landry’s select club to make our next dining experience even better than today’s event. Thanks!
My first time here and the experience was great. Our server, I wish I remembered his name, was awesome! I changed my dish back and forth at least 4 times before I told him final answer, put it in before I change my mind lol. He was kind, never frustrated, repeated the order and even double checked again after he put it in. He continued to check on us throughout our dining experience and definitely made our experience a great one. I would dine here again when in town. Great job and great tasting food!
This was my first time here. I came with my husband, our server was Shane, and let me tell you! From water to whip cream the food and the service was out of this world. Shane recommended a dish that had the filet, lobster tail , shrimp wrapped in bacon and broccoli. OML It was to die for. Plus customer service was top notch. He over heard we were celebrating our anniversary so when he brought out our dessert, he surprised us with a candle and happy anniversary written on the plate. Overall, the service and the experience was the best I’ve had in my life. I will definitely be returning thank you Shane for this experience.
Wow! What a fabulous experience. Great menu, and our food was prepared and presented excellently. We were able to sit at a table at a window across the front of the restaurant, which means we had a fabulous view of the Gulf during dinner. But best of all was our waiter Gerron. He was everything you want a server to be: efficient, professional, attentive and knowledgeable. Best of all, he was gently personable, without hovering. This was a really great experience. If we lived closer, we'd be back often. Thanks, Gerron, and thanks to the chef!
My husband and I dine at Landrys whenever we find one. As always, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The atmosphere was nice with music in the background, which was not too loud, so that conversation was easy. I had my favorite stuffed jalapeños which for me, is the main reason for coming. The tasty salad was plated so beautifully that I didn't want to eat it (but I did). The salmon was cooked perfectly. My husband had a meatball Poboy that was also season well. Thank you Landrys for consistently providing good food and great service. If you come to Galveston, make this one of your dining choices.
Had a great experience YET AGAIN! Got to sit outside on the beautiful patio right before and during sunset and enjoy happy hour. My server Ana was outstanding as always and made great suggestions. First tried the whiskey flight which was delicious — we even discussed what each option would pair best with — and then got the crab and shrimp pot which was an amazing value and surf and turf. 😋 Can’t wait to keep coming back now that I have my LSC 😃
This place is an absolute gem for seafood lovers! The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a welcoming atmosphere and the delightful scent of fresh catches. The menu offers a fantastic variety, from their signature grilled salmon to the mouthwatering shrimp tacos. Each dish is prepared with care, showcasing the natural flavors of the ocean. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, ready to recommend the perfect pairing for your meal.
This was my second time at Landry's and my husband's first. I went back in 2022 and again Feb 2024. Amazing place for a fancy dinner and high quality seafood. My husband opted for ribeye. It tasted amazing too, although he wasn't a fan of the glaze sauce they provided. At least it was on the side. Both times I had the chef's special, red snapper. First picture is more recent, and the second was back in 2022. Obviously now they use WAY more sauce, and it's better for it! Snapper is my favorite fish and this is definitely my favorite dish!! The sauce was lick-your-plate delicious!! Price wise, it's actually not bad for what you get. You also have amazing views out the windows during the day, and I'm sure the patio dining would be lovely. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's quiet and the atmosphere is great for a romantic date. <3
Very nice staff. Gerron was our server and all I can say is top notch service. Awesome service! The food was excellent. I had a house salad but wasn’t sure about the lemon ginger vinaigrette. I asked for it on the side but had ranch on the side for back up. Have to say the vinaigrette was very tasty. Never used the ranch. Ginger was not overpowering. For sure will be back and hope to see Gerron there. Thank you God bless and Happy 2026 !
Went on a cruise aboard the Mariner of the Seas. Got there a day early and stayed at the Hilton Island Resort to take in the atmosphere and the food. Landry’s is walking distance. This was a culinary dream. From the moment I entered, the maître D sat me in a booth in the middle of the afternoon. The service was as good as the oysters and the fish. Dessert and coffee with cognac brought an end to this delight, but not before I complemented both food and service to the Manager Mr. Davila. Later that evening I went to Katie’s seafood house by the water, but it didn’t hold a candle to Landry’s. If you’re ever in the area, visit this A1 establishment!
We went for a late lunch around 12:45 no waiting our server was professional and very friendly made our experience great the food was exceptional I had the ahi tuna in the bowl and my partner had the fried shrimp platter. Fresh hot and lovely presentation, I commented on the dirty rice in the appetizer we ordered ,best I have ever tasted! We were given a dessert for our celebration anniversary we were not going to order any but it was $1.00 we took it to go and ate it later. The bar tender was very knowledgeable I had 2 glasses of a 2022 Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon I would recommend it and I would definitely be going back. To try my favorite single malt scotch options, was a lovely experience and the weather made it absolutely gorgeous. My partner is a tequila guy the bar was well stocked for those who enjoy cocktails before during or after…..top notch and not stuffy type vibe
While in Galveston for a conference, I decided to give Landry's a shot based on the recommendation of a fellow conference attendee. I was definitely not disappointed. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, was very nicely appointed, and the staff were amazing including my server. I decided on the 9oz top sirloin and added a skewer of grilled shrimp along with their sizzling mushrooms. Prior to my meal arriving, they brought out an very tasty loaf of bread that had a nice garlicky buttery taste to it. My meal was absolutely divine. The steak was cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes were very tasty, the shrimp were incredibly flavourful, but the mushroom skillet was the star in my opinion! I don't know what seasoning they added to those mushrooms, but let's just say that every scrumptious morsel was eaten and any remaining juices were soaked up with the remaining bread that was brought out earlier. It's probably a good thing that I don't live anywhere near Landry's Prime Steak & Seafood, both for my pocketbook and my waistline, as I would be here way too often!
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious – a true culinary delight. The Margarita was perfectly balanced and complemented the meal beautifully. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was impeccable. I will definitely be coming back!
We met at Landry’s Seafood on Seawall Blvd for my dad’s birthday. We had a 14 person party and Gerron was our waiter. Gerron was so amazing, giving us some of the best service I’ve ever experienced, and the fact that I am retired from being a restaurant manager, I know what great service should look like. Gerron worked our section as well as another area of the restaurant and he never missed a beat between taking care of our needs, as well as the other section he took care of on that Saturday afternoon. Since we had a 14 top, gratuity was automatically included on our bill, but none of us had a problem tipping extra cash to show Gerron that he did his job extremely well. I know from experience that the staff is the reason restaurants make or break it. All restaurants need guys like Gerron on their staff to keep the service above average. Landry’s is very fortunate to have that guy. Gerron made our dining experience and my dad’s birthday even better.
*Update - as always, we enjoyed my birthday at Laundry's where the weather, breeze, views, and food are always perfect. Landry's is a beautiful restaurant with scenic views of the gulf. Today we stopped in for lunch and everything was wonderful. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The crawfish etouffe and gumbo was delicious. Can't wait to return.
I highly recommend this place for a great dinner for seafood and steaks. Really well cooked food. This was an early Valentine’s dinner and we were very happy. We had the Landy’s gumbo (4/5), Lobster Bisque (5/5), 14 oz Ribeye (5/5) with asparagus, sizzling mushrooms (5/5), shrimp (4/5), shrimp scampi (4/5), lobster tail (5/5), NY cheesecake (5/5) and Banana Foster’s (4/5). This is definitely a $40-$60 for steaks and about $25 to $45 for pastas and seafood dishes. The service was exceptional with Melissa Hart (10/5). Highly recommend her as your server. I’d recommend this location. Come with an appetite.
We were part of a very large group from the RV Park where we stay in February. Probably 30+ people. The group opted for the bar to take advantage of Happy Hour. We hope to return for a “just us” meal at some point. We had wine, calamari with red peppers (not hot), shishito peppers (so yummy) and two sauces, neither of which I cared for. Also an order of coconut shrimp which was delicious and served with a sweet spicy sauce. The service was very good for the number of people that were in attendance. Kudos for his patience and service!!
I proposed to my now fiancé tonight at this restaurant. From the moment we entered until we left everything was done with so much class. What a beautiful ambience looking over the seawall. The door staff, waitstaff Jackie, all the managers, even Chef Charles came to the table to greet us and encourage us. The food was so delicious with HUGE portions. They all truly catered to us and made the night most memorable. We will never forget this wonderful experience!!!! Thank you for making our night and engagement so special
I had the best experience here! I went for happy hour and sat at the bar top. The whole bar team was excellent, but the bartender Isabela was a standout. She was so welcoming and attentive. She made sure every bar guest always had what they needed while also taking time to make conversation with the guests. The food and beverage were all phenomenal. Landry’s offers a great happy hour which is a nice way to enjoy the experience at a more approachable price point. The crab cakes, coconut shrimp, and spinach crab dip were excellent. The bar beverages were all on point! Thank you Landry’s team for a perfect experience, I look forward to returning.
Had an outstanding lunch at Laundry’s!!! Perfect timing for lunch, almost had the restaurant to ourselves and our waiter was very entertaining… perfection all around. The portion sizes were perfect for lunch, we left feeling satisfied and not overwhelmed. Every bite was full of flavor and tasted fresh. Had to sample a little bit of the dessert menu after the lunch was so tasty, it also did not disappoint. Another year of perfection at Landry’s and I always look forward to coming back to Galveston for an amazing experience. Thank you for such wonderful food & service!!
I had lunch yesterday with my husband, and my son and his wife at Landry Galveston on the seawall. It was an excellent experience in every way!! The food, the atmosphere, and the service!! Gerin and his team provided us with an excellent experience and service!! Our waiter Kevin was amazing!!!! He was welcoming, friendly, courteous professional, knowledgeable and very attentive! The food was delicious and the outdoor patio seating was refreshing!!
I decided to visit Galveston, Texas for my birthday. After googling & driving around, we chose to dine at Landry’s for my birthday dinner. It looks like a fancy place! I was able to make our reservation just a few hours before going. We showed up a little early but were still seated right away! They seem to have a lot of staff and they were all very polite and welcoming. The inside looks just as fancy as the outside! But, I would like to give a special shout out to our waiter, SHANE; who took very very good care of us. He was attentive, quick, kind, informative of the menu & of the area since we are from out of town. He made me feel special for my birthday, something that hasn’t happened since I was a kid (lol). Shane was on top of everything from refills to getting everything we asked for & singing the birthday song <3 I want to move here now! Thank you Shane & Landry’s for a visit & birthday I won’t forget.
James was our server, he was so kind and did a wonderful job. Our food was all delicious and we enjoyed some fantastic coffee after our meal. It’s not a place to go in a rush, it’s meant to be a leisurely experience. Beautiful atmosphere and fantastic view of the ocean from inside the restaurant. They have many great options for kids on the kids menu as well.
A Wonderful Gluten Friendly Seafood Experience I recently had lunch at Landry’s Seafood in Galveston with a large group of six, including both adults and kids, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. As someone with a gluten sensitivity, I was immediately impressed by the fact that they offer a dedicated gluten sensitive menu. It made ordering simple and stress free, and I truly appreciated not having to second-guess my options. I decided on the broiled sea bass, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. I’d asked our server, Landon, for guidance on the different preparations broiled, pan seared, or blackened and he explained the textures and flavors of each with care. Based on his description, I went with the broiled version, which had a delicate, flaky texture and rich flavor that was exactly what I was craving. I also asked to substitute the usual rice and vegetable sides for double vegetables instead, and they were more than happy to accommodate. The spinach was especially delicious and paired beautifully with the sea bass. The rest of the group had an equally enjoyable experience. My son ordered the Fish Po'Boy sandwich, which arrived in a portion so generous it could only happen in Texas. He loved it and couldn’t finish it all, though he certainly tried. My younger son had the salmon, one of Landry’s signature dishes, and he thought it was fantastic. My husband went with the red snapper topped with crab meat and said it was one of the best seafood dishes he’s had in a long time. While I usually avoid sweet drinks, I decided to try the peach sangria and I’m so glad I did. It was light, refreshing, and had a wonderfully unique flavor. It was the kind of drink that feels like a little vacation in a glass, and I highly recommend it. Our server, Landon, deserves a special mention. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely attentive throughout the entire meal. He made sure all of our needs were met and helped make the experience even better. All in all, Landry’s delivered a fantastic lunch, great food, wonderful service, and a menu that truly accommodates different dietary needs without compromising on flavor or variety. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Galveston.
Melvin & Shauna Watson, Jr. here. My wife and I have been married for 32 Years Now!! This was a very, very special dinner for us. Mr. Mason Absolutely was Amazingly Awesome for making this Anniversary Dinner night a very special night to remember. Ten (10) Years ago on our 22nd Wedding Anniversary, at this same Landry's in Galveston on the Seawall, we were taken great care of by the entire staff. They Celebrated us by putting our 22nd Anniversary up on the Marquee Sign outside in front of the restaurant. When Mr. Mason heard that it was now our 32nd Wedding Anniversary (10) Years Later, He made sure that we were Celebrated & Honored by Landry's. The Amazing Staff once again put us up on the Marquee Sign for our 32nd Wedding Anniversary ✝️✡️🙏🏿❤️. We are forever grateful to The Landry's Organization for trusting in Mr. Mason as he represents your brand well and have Landry's best interest. We felt like special guests whom he served with Excellence!!! Mr. Mason, Thank You So Much Sir, You made my Amazing Wife of 32 Years feel really really special and she is Above & Beyond Amazing!! We are still talking about it. Please see both of Landry's photos attached, 22nd & 32nd Wedding Anniversary Dinner at Landry's in Galveston!! We look forward to celebrating our 42nd Wedding Anniversary at Landry's Seawall, Galveston, Tx. U.S. ARMY Veteran Melvin & Shauna Watson, Jr
Absolutely loved our experience at Landry’s! We ordered the Glazed Bourbon Salmon and Calamari — both were fantastic. The salmon was perfectly cooked with a sweet, smoky glaze, and the calamari was crispy and flavorful without being greasy. The location is beautiful, with a great view of the water, and the ambiance was just right for a relaxed evening. What made it even more special was the complimentary birthday dessert they brought out for my cousin — such a thoughtful and generous touch! Service was top-notch from start to finish. Highly recommend if you’re in Galveston and looking for great seafood with great vibes.
We recently had a small family gathering of 10 people for dinner on a Friday evening at Landry’s on the Galveston beachfront, and once again it did not disappoint. This was our second time dining here, and it continues to be one of our favorite places to eat when we visit. My husband and I decided to share a plate that included an appetizer, a main course, and the option to add sides. The portions here are huge, so sharing worked out perfectly—and we still had leftovers to take home. The fried fish was absolutely delicious. It had just the right amount of crispy crust without being overcooked. The shrimp brochette was also amazing, served with a rich garlicky butter sauce that honestly made you want to dip the bread in it to soak up every bit of flavor. The wedge salad was delicious and had a sprinkle of crispy bacon, red onions and split cherry tomatoes. This was large enough to share with another couple. The au gratin potatoes dish was also large portion and creamy and delicious. The atmosphere and ambiance are romantic and relaxing, especially with the view of the beach while you dine. Of course, you do have to look past the busy street in front, but the beach view still makes it feel special. Overall, great food, generous portions, and a lovely setting. We will definitely keep coming back.
We stopped at the Landry's Seafood House in Galveston and were genuinely impressed. The standout was the lobster bisque. If you appreciate a proper lobster bisque, this one delivers. Rich, creamy, and full-bodied without being heavy. The flavor was deep and refined — the kind of dish that makes you want to go home and try to replicate it yourself. At $13, it’s more than fair. My wife and I shared it, and it was worth every dollar. We also ordered the Captain’s Platter, and it did not disappoint. The fried shrimp, oysters, cod, stuffed shrimp, and calamari were all done right. Clean taste, not fishy, lightly coated, crisp without being greasy, and seasoned properly. The breading complemented the seafood instead of overpowering it. The sauces tied everything together nicely. They also had a strong selection of beers on tap which we were happy to try . They also have an extensive wine list. If you enjoy wine or consider yourself a bit of a connoisseur, you’ll appreciate the options available. Overall, a very pleasant experience from start to finish. We would absolutely return
Our first time here despite visiting the island countless times, and we’re so glad we finally stopped in. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. None of it would have been the same without the impeccable customer service from our server, Marcos. He was incredibly attentive, personable, and made stellar recommendations—because of him, we will absolutely be back to this location!
I sat outside on the patio on an amazing sunny Monday and had the best service ever by an amazing man named Jaymes who made my whole groups experience really worth it. He was extremely personable, funny ,and professional. The food was also all cooked really well and would recommend literally anything on the menu to someone trying for the first time.
We visited Landry’s for Valentine's Day and it was an amazing experience. The food was great and the service was excellent. The general manager Micheal made sure everything was perfect and the executive Chef, Chef Charles also came out to see us to make sure our food was prepared to our liking. Definitely one of the best dining experiences!
The atmosphere is wonderful, welcoming and comfortable. Had the crab, spinach and artichoke dip, followed by the crab and shrimp linguine. The shrimp were over cooked but it was delicious in spite of that. The service was phenomenal. If you go to this location, ask for James. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and so personable. Five star service all the way.
My husband and I went to Landrys for Our 4th Anniversary Dinner. The Atmosphere was Absolutely Warm and Romantic. Our Waiter was Wonderful, very sweet and helpful. The Food was delicious and exquisite!!! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed at the large portions and couldn’t finish and opted for a Togo box after my husband and I gave it our best effort to because the food was so good, I’m a bit embarrassed to say that we definitely tried to eat every bite. We were Surprised with a Delicious Anniversary Dessert that was more than Satisfying and a great way to end the Perfect meal! We were treated like Royalty, catered to like we were Kings and Queens. We will Definitely recommend Landrys and look forward to dining there again soon.
We took a trip to Galveston for our honeymoon and we took a chance on Landry’s. Let me tell you from the moment you walk in you are treated like family. The waiter we had was outstanding. His service and level of attention was 5 star. The meal itself was amazing!! The view was also incredible. You can sit on the patio and literally feel the ocean breeze. Everything made fresh to order with homemade everything. Great place overall!!!
Excellent Experience at Landry’s! We had an outstanding dining experience at Landry’s thanks to our amazing server, Cliff. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The Mango Mojito is must! The Oysters Rockefeller were fresh and flavorful—definitely a must-try appetizer. For dinner, we had the Maple Bourbon Salmon with potatoes and broccoli, and it was cooked to perfection. The balance of sweet and smoky flavors on the salmon was incredible, and the sides complemented the dish perfectly. Cliff checked in often without being intrusive and made great recommendations throughout the meal. Overall, it was a wonderful evening with excellent food and even better service. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Kevin was our Server tonight and he did absolutely excellent, very great service with a very good and infectious attitude! I think that was the best service I’ve had in awhile from staying on top of refills and requests, to personally seeing us out . We’re not from Texas but will stop by here anytime we can make it by! Highly recommend.
Mandy, was awesome! Food was extremely delicious. Mandy’s customer service was superior. She recommended top dishes. She gave stellar communication and kept drinks, and condiments full. I wish she worked at all restaurant establishments. She exceeded the Chick filet Bar. Please go see her. Mr. Moore
If I could give more stars I definitely would. Chef Nick came out and made us feel like family by explaining the menu and its background. Truly an amazing experience and the attention to detail in the food was 10/10. Our server was professional and recommended a few dishes and drinks as well. Will be doing the drive to come back! In the picture is their meatballs, and a mango mojito!
I spent 4th of July in Galveston and made reservations at Landry’s and so glad I did. The server was amazing, energetic and attentive to my needs. I ordered the oysters for starters and was very delicious, then I ordered the Seafood Americana for my entree. The food was flavorful and the night was so lovely. My boyfriend ordered the mixed grill entree. He did mention the bacon wrapped shrimp may have been overcooked but overall he enjoyed it. Their Lemon drop was good as well, I will definitely be back.
Audrey was awesome, very friendly, timely and attentive with our order at the bar and made helpful recommendations! She ensured we were well taken care of

Food is great and I really like the environment! Our waitress, Ana, was super friendly and funny
Landry's has the best stuffed jalapeños anywhere! We were upset they were not on the menu, but waiter told us we still get them! We also shared a yummy shrimp poboy.

Great location for a lunch if you’re at the Galveston Island Convention Center for a conference. Unfortunately, wait times were long because of all the conference attendees and the restaurant appeared to be extremely understaffed. Ate at the bar, to avoid a 20 minute wait at 11:30 (despite plenty of tables available for dining, they didn’t have enough staff to seat everyone). Food at the bar took about an hour as well as there was only one staff at the bar. Food was good. Got the lunch box, which is a great option for a fairly light meal. Fried fish tacos were not that great, but the shrimp and fish option hit the spot. You can’t go wrong with their shrimp. Love the onion string and fries as well. Fries are not oily as you’ll find in many other restaurants. The sweet iced tea at Landry’s is always welcome!
The young lady working the front desk wasn't welcoming at all. She made it seem like we were bothering her because we wanted to eat. We noticed her same behavior also with other customers arriving after us. How I'm initially greeted when I step foot in any restaurant is very important to me. It's telling me of possible services to expect. Our server was somewhat reserved but was professional. The food was excellent! We both had the reddish. We will be back.
Beautiful day and 'lunner' on a patio on the Gulf of Mexico... my companions and I enjoyed Calamari, spinach and artichoke dip, the lunch box items are a very good value... shrimp scampi, grilled salmon and Fish and chips with choice of starters for 20.00 usd per person. This is my favored Landry's location and it never disappoints

Menu was limited for a Louisiana restaurant, prices were high and they apparently only had one pepper mill in the restaurant and it didn't work. VERY disappointing overall

We had the worst experience at Landry’s. We offered us a 7:30pm reservation on Thanksgiving day. Had no idea it was buffet only and that the buffet ended at 8pm. There were empty chaffing dishes that weren’t being replenished and the meat carving station was completely torn down by the time we arrived. There was no salad, no shrimp, no beef meat of any kind, shrimp was rubbery, gumbo was cold and watery, and the buffet tables were disgusting. I wish I would have taken pictures. I had a slice of dry turkey, some mashed potatoes with some stuffing and some really runny gravy. Our waiter was nice enough but his approach was totally off putting. He said to me “Well, what isn’t out there that you want?” And at the point I immediately shut down because how am I supposed to know what I want that’s not there? It’s not there!!! What he should have done was bring us a menu and offered us a regular dinner. Oh, he did offer us a dozen oysters that he never delivered to our table, so just another let down. The restaurant was pretty and the atmosphere was great but just a very disappointing visit and the service seriously lacked. I doubt they will get another visit from us. Oh, and our table spent over $500 for this terrible dining experience.
The service and atmosphere of Landry's is great. Not too loud, family oriented, but also can be romantic if that's what you're going for. The service was a quick as it could be for such a busy night and the server was professional, kind, and helpful woth questions about the menu. The only downfall was the food. I ordered the filet mignon and my daughter had the broiled salmon. She thought the salmon was delicious, although it was flavorless. She's 10, so I suppose it was right up her pallet alley. The steak was ordered medium well, but still brought out closer to medium (medium is my preference but current circumstances require the meat to be cooked a little longer). The temperature of the steak was not the problem, the steak was flavorless and tasted like it had been boiled, yes boiled. The texture was strange and it did not meet expectations. I wouldn't return and order the same thing, but their garlic bread is really good.
I have celiac disease, and I ordered from the gluten sensitive menu. I am fully aware of, and understand, the risk of cross contamination. I ordered the cedar plank salmon, that was supposed to come with red potatoes, but came with rice pilaf instead. I was 2 bites into the rice, which has wheat pasta in it, before I realized that wasn’t what was on the menu. My husband, who ordered salmon, not the cedar plank salmon, off of the regular menu, and his was supposed come with rice pilaf, but his came with red potatoes. I do understand mistakes can be made, but this is a big mistake, and it did make me sick. If you look on the Find Me Gluten Free App there are reviews that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened at this restaurant. Please educate your staff on food allergies, and dietary restrictions. Make sure they are properly trained, and pay attention in the kitchen. The salmon was delicious though. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals.
We ordered filets and when choosing the side, we didn't realize that they were big enough to share. I thought they would be served on the plate with our steaks. I'm disappointed our waiter didn't advise us on anything. Also we ordered sweet tea and he brought us unsweetened. The food was ok but nothing great and not worth the 300+ $$$ I spent. Definitely not going back.
I'll start with the restaurant itself. Very beautiful place and not noisy, so very easy to have a nice conversation. The views are wonderful while you dine inside or out. We ordered the Cheesy Crawfish Toast as an appetizer and it was wonderful. The plate had six pieces which was plenty and very flavorful. Our main entree was the Snapper Hemingway and it was cooked to perfection. The sauce and with fresh meat just hit the spot! With all that goodness, it was the service that was severely disappointing. We drank tea and had to ask numerous times for refills. Once our food was dropped off, our waiter never checked on us to see if we needed anything else. It took forever to finally get the check. The server just seemed he really did not want to be there, did not want to provide good service and his poor attitude just put a damper on our otherwise wonderful lunch
Beautiful location and super close to our hotel. Staff was friendly but our server was not really on par with every other staff. Jaylen while he was very friendly and professional he barely came by. He only came to take our order and drop off our food. Never refilled our drinks. Had to wave him down to ask for the check. My steak was so salty that I didn't even eat half of it. Hubby enjoyed his hamburger though. Anyways, lovely place but will skip next time.

I think if I ordered anything else I would've had a better experience. I got the gumbo thinking well this is a top-tier seafood place, right? The gumbo came out slopped into a bowl. I got shrimp and crab in it as well. The rice was originally on the side but I just mixed it all together. The real issue here was the flavor. It really tasted kind of burned with some black specs in it and it was ENTIRELY over seasoned to the point that I should have just sent it back. I guess I was just tired and put up with it, so that's my fault. But I highly recommend never ordering gumbo from this place. Everything else was great so I can't give it 1-star due to that. We also had spinach dip with chips and it was really good. My wife had the chicken cesar salad and enjoyed it. One of my kids slept the whole time and the other ate half the pizza and fries. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I drank 4 or 5 cups of diet coke because I was absolutely dehydrated from running on the beach prior. Unfortunately, i'm not sure I will come back here just based on the gumbo.
Food was decent but the service made it not worth it. Went to celebrate my husband's job but got one of the most bizarre service experiences. We got there at 7:30 and didn't get our food until 9:00 p.m. and it wasn't even that busy. The waiter didn't let us know one of the dishes we ordered was out of stock until 30 minutes after we had placed the order. Then once we finally get our food, he started asking us a bunch of personal questions. Made something that was supposed to be special and drag.
We made reservations a week before Thanksgiving 2025 . I made our reservation through open table and was unaware that they were only offering buffet style dinner. With it being 730 on Thanksgiving evening, we decided to give the buffet a shot. We were very disappointed once we got our plates and went through the line . There was a minimal selection and the tables were filthy . We should have just left whenever we saw the buffet, but we decided to try and make the best of it so we grabbed a few items like boiled shrimp, gumbo, and some of the fish choices. The shrimp was over boiled and you could not peel them, and the fish and the gumbo was cold .This was our first experience at Landry‘s in Galveston and needless to say, we were very disappointed in the food however, our server was very accommodating And the manager did end up, comping Our meals. She did apologize and said that the kitchen staff and stopped restocking the food and that they had ran out of steaks along with several other items and that they weren’t prepared for the amount of business . It was Disappointing for our Thanksgiving meal. Next time I will do my due diligence when reserving through open table to verify what the menu is on holidays.
We waited over an hour and half for our food and the restaurant was not busy at all. Right after being seated a waiter dumped a large tray of eaten scallops behind me and got on my legs and shoes. …
Unimpressed, I’d rather eat Long John Silvers in a 7-11 restroom than spend another $200 here. Service subpar, food greasy. The only good thing was the Key Lime Pie. The pie was delicious. We got confirmation that there were no nuts in the key lime pie when asked - we just weren’t informed about the chocolate cake having pecans mixed with the coconut on the edge of the chocolate cake. Two people in our group had an allergic reaction to the chocolate cake because of the mixture. Irresponsible for no notification when making it apparent that we had a nut allergy concern.
Came here last night. The place looks nice but the food was a whole mess truly. It was plated nicely but it took from 7:13pm till 8:55 to get our food we got the fillet steaks medium rare. I love steak and can eat blue steaks fine you just have to know how to cook it and I feel like the chef last night did not know how to cook steak the center was cold and the lighting there is so dim we took out our flash lights to get a closer look and it was just pitiful really. We still tipped our server well but the poor lighting was just to hide the hideous excuse for meat they have. I really wanted to love this place but you could taste the raw meat. I had better luck grabbing a hand full of ground beef than the steak here
ZERO STARS!!! Fish uncooked, Augratin Potatoes HARD, Shrimp unseasoned. My husband’s steak was horrible (Steak was hard) not pictured. This can’t be a Fertita chain, if so this is a poor reflection of how he built his reputation on hospitality and great service. Perhaps the GM of this location should read his book “Shut up and Listen” this by far has been the worst experience ever.
The restaurant was less than half full when we went for dinner and remained that way our entire visit. Our server dropped a slur to describe the service by the hostess. Our cocktails took more than 25 minutes to arrive. The pear salad was awful - unripe pears and soggy lettuce. The server took that off our ticket, thankfully. The shrimp enbrochette was overcooked. The scampi just tasted of butter and everything lacked salt and seasoning. The manager wandered around the dining room, carrying glasses and trays, but never interacted with guests. We have no reason to recommend Landrys or come back.
This restaurant use to be a very good restaurant but probably won't be back again. Half the food was cold, calamari overdone they remade it. Oysters gritty Fried shrimp not warm fries cold. Had the captain's platter and really was disappointed. The manger michael Mason worst management I have ever seen, did adjust one captains platter but no apologies, just said I just got here i will see what is going on in the kitchen, he looked like he didn't want to be there and really could care less. Shrimp crab gumbo excellent on a positive note. I use to love Landrys High end at one time and it had wonderful management and quality food and service. Angie was apologetic but service slow for how slow they were. I would hate to see it extremely busy. I won't be back, very frustrating and when you spend 40 for a platter it should be a good experience and food should be something to brag about not have to complain about
What a Birthday 😩I was very disappointed with my experience at Landry’s. The food was served cold, which was surprising considering the prices and reputation of the restaurant. On top of that, the service was slow and not very pleasant. Our server seemed uninterested and it took a long time to get basic things like drinks and check-ins at the table. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and I hope the restaurant improves both the food quality and customer service.
