Tip: The mala xiang guo is a must-try, and you can adjust the spice level to your preference. Consider ordering the chicken soup if the mala xiang guo is too spicy.

Recensioni di Atto 아토 Gardena
Atto has amazing authentic Korean food, outstanding service, and old school charm that really stands out from the crowd. The army stew was such a cool dish.. ramen noodles, sausage, spam and all sorts of great ingredients in a delicious broth. The spicy pork with tofu was perfect.. not too spicy but great flavor. The sweet and tangy pork loin was friend perfectly and the sweet and tangy sauce is a must try.. it is perfectly balanced with very bold flavors. The chef came out to chat with us and gave us the history of the army stew which was quite interesting. The dining room is cozy and comfortable with plenty of seating. We have tried so many Korean restaurants in the South Bay and Atto stands out for incredible food and a unique experience. Very highly recommended.
ATTO delivers the kind of meal that grabs your attention from the first bite and doesn’t let go. The service is outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming — the kind that makes you feel taken care of without ever hovering. The ribs are the undeniable star. Clean, beautifully prepared, and absolutely incredible. Tender enough to melt in your mouth, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with the kind of confidence that only comes from a kitchen that knows exactly what it’s doing. Every bite hits with richness and balance. The space is spotless, comfortable, and inviting, adding to that sense of quality and care. It’s the kind of place where you immediately start planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your plate. I’ll be back to explore the soups and other dishes — if they’re anything like those ribs, I’m in for something special.
I went here for a friend reunion, and we tried all the menus here. We all loved and enjoyed all the foods here and especially, Atto’s Mara Xiangguo and GUO BAO ROU were the best! Period. If their Mara xiangguo is too spicy, I will recommend order their chicken soup with it because the combination of these two menu will make balance of flavors and really tasty. By the way, the service was good and also their interior was cute and trendy! I will definitely comeback here soon and I highly recommend this place for you all! :)
We happened to stumble upon this restaurant by chance, and what a lucky find it was! First of all, the interior is beautiful... super clean!!!!! It instantly put us in a great mood. We ordered the Mala Xiang Guo, Guo Bao Rou, and short ribs. The Mala Xiang Guo was absolutely delicious...you can adjust the spice level, and it came loaded with both meat and veggies. The portion was generous and the price was very reasonable. Our 3 years boy, who usually doesn’t eat much meat, grabbed the short rib with his hands and devoured it! And the highlight? The Guo Bao Rou! Even after 20 minutes, it stayed perfectly tender and the sauce was incredible!!!!!!! sweet, tangy, and not overly sticky. A MUST TRY. We already agreed we’re definitely coming back. So excited to have found a new go to spot!
Real Gem Found! To the point: - Taste: GREAT! - Vibe & Service: Relaxing :) - Price: VERY GOOD - Recommended: YES - Returning: YES 1. Price At first you might feel likes it’s overpriced until you see malatang being $33. But this is for 2~3 people! In fact, this portion is more than enough for 2 people. You don’t see this kind of deal in a lot of restaurants. Keeping that in mind, all prices are very good deals! 2. Vibe & Service Nothing to complain about. It is currently on soft opening. 3. Food This place was marketing “Korean style” malatang before opening. As a Korean, traditional malatang generally does kick your palettes with full roundhouse. Their malatang was interesting because I could tell that they didn’t put too much mala but definitely didn’t lack any of classic malatang flavor. I wanted to make a comparison with another restaurant but to be honest, ATTO might be the first one around the town in terms of real Malatang. I’d say closest one would be Ruiji in Torrance. But they are not the same kind of malatang. Guo Bao Rou was on point, exactly how I tasted before and expected. I mean it was great! But I wish i could’ve ordered this with Mala Xiang Guo. My 6 yo son had Soy Garlic Pork Ribs. And yes it was good too! 4. Comment I am DEFINITELY coming back here in the near future (maybe even this coming weekday)! I was very satisfied of the level of food quality, portion, and price. I guess the only downside is that, to my selfishness as a Korean, malatang could be so much more “fun” to eat with any type of noodle they could add to their menu, especially ramyeon noodle, Chinese flat glass noodle, or udon noodle. They do have knife noodle as an option but it doesn’t cut for me. Flat glass noodle with ATTO’s malatang would be ABSOLUTE FIRE.
The Malatang is pretty good! I came with my boyfriend and the portion was enough for both of us. Will come back 👍🏻
Was driving by and saw this new place and wanted to try it. They just opened a bit over a week ago. Got the chicken stew, which was a huge portion! It tasted very delicious but healthy. Make sure to add the noodles! Their pork ribs were my fave. So tender and flavorful!
Tried multiple dishes from their menu and every single one of them were excellent. I can see that they put a lot of care in the details, and both their chinese and korean-based menus were a perfect balance of authentic and easy to enjoy. They have a beautiful space with ample seating and nice intimate lighting. Looks like they are still waiting for their liquor license, and I'm super excited since their menu would perfectly pair with some beer. Still coming back just for the food until they get that beer license though. Oh and I wasn't able to take a picture of it but their GuoBaoRou is chef's kiss.
Loved the ambiance and the food was very tasty. Very solid choice for comfort Korean food
I was really craving malatang. It was so good and spicy… Nuroonggi seafood tang was great!!!! I would recommend to all my friends and family.
Finally a place that serves mala xiang guo and mala tang in Gardena! My friends and I really enjoyed our food here. We tried a variety of dishes, and they were all good. Especially, guo bao rou and dakgangjeong were super crispy and tasty. Prices were fair. We would definitely recommend a visit.
Beautiful interior and even better food. First place I’ve been to that serves mala close to asia. I love the vibes and can’t wait for them to get their alcohol license😆 한국인이 정말 좋아할만한 식당임
Heard about this new place from a friend and went there for lunch. The atmosphere is really nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. And the food was just amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes on the menu!
A nice find. We had a lunch meeting. Good service, good food.

new place in gardena! the vibes, the food, the service was top notch. definitely a place you'll want to try!
Was craving malatang, so dropped by for lunch. Delicious, great portion and price!
Bomb! Fried chicken was super tasty, not spicy at all if that's what you're looking for though. Soy garlic ribs were really good too! Both were way too much for two people. My wife and I are stuffed and there's enough for ones of to have lunch tomorrow. Just have to wake up before she does and take it to work with me!
Best Chicken soup I’ve ever had in this country! Mala Xiangguo was very flavorful too. Great service, good price!
Great spot. We got the mala dry pot and Korean fried chicken and it was super tasty. Great atmosphere as well and the staff were super kind and helpful!
This is an unexpected gem. We stumbled across this place just driving by. We looked up their menu, which looked super yummy, and decided to give it a try. The food was remarkably good. It's a small menu, but you can tell that each item is curated with care and skill. We had the mala soup for two, adding glass noodles. Incredible. We are adding Atto to our list of favorites in the South Bay and work it into our family restaurant rotation.
We have a lot of Korean restaurants in the Torrance and Gardena area but most of them tend to have the same basic dishes. So it’s nice that Atto has things like mala tang and mala xiang guo. The mala xiang guo was excellent and flavorful. We asked for it extra spicy and that was perfect for us. The sweet & spicy Korean fried chicken was nice and crunchy with a very tasty yangnyeom sauce coating the pieces. I do wish they were bone-in though. The service was terrific and very friendly. Will definitely be back!
Tried their Army Stew and their pork ribs. Generous portions at fair pricing for good homemade food. The broth is flavorful and clean - not too salty or artificially flavored. You can adjust the spice level (just ask them!). The ambiance is clean and new and intimate. The service is family-like and the food is created by real Koreans, no fusion BS. Menu is easy to navigate and no nonsense.

Came here with a large group and had a great time! The staff were super friendly, the service was quick, and the food was delicious.

We were really hungry and decided to take a chance on this brand new Korean restaurant — and it turned out to be a great decision! The interior was clean and adorably decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the budae jjigae and dakgangjeong, and it was honestly the perfect combo. The stew’s broth was rich and flavorful — don’t forget to order a bowl of rice with it, it makes it even better. The dakgangjeong was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a sweet and savory red sauce. We loved it so much that we ended up ordering another portion to go. Even after it cooled down, it was still delicious! We’re definitely planning to come back again with our family.
