Recensioni di Chicchi Genova
I must say, it's truly top-notch quality! One of the few places where focaccia is still truly made properly. They also offer a state-of-the-art coffee service where you can enjoy their delicious artisanal brioches. Congratulations on the attentive, courteous, and professional service, and kudos to the owner who runs this wonderful business. Well done!
A perfect spot for breakfast on the way home from the Côte d'Azur. They had delicious croissants and a variety of baked focaccias. It was popular with locals, which is always a good sign. The staff were extremely friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
The focaccia is excellent, almost always freshly baked. The coffee has a delicious aroma, and the shop assistants are all good, friendly, and nice.
Traditional focaccia is always hot. In addition to baked goods, it also serves as an excellent café, ideal for breakfast. Excellent service, and the staff are always very friendly.
Amazing, to say the least!!! The coffee was delicious, and the brioche was delicious...but the focaccia...can we even talk about the focaccia???? Each one was better than the last, since we bought several different types to take to the beach. The best, however, was the cheese one!!! So much so that we ordered half a pan and half a regular one to take home.
While looking for places to have breakfast and buy something to eat, we discovered this cafe. The best detour we could have made. Very friendly staff, and best of all, the focaccias and pizzas. Delicious and at a price you wouldn't find anywhere else in Barcelona. I would definitely go back.
We were traveling and this little place welcomed us in the best possible way: AMAZING focaccia (crumbly and light), DELICIOUS focaccia and cheese! And to make everything even better: EXCELLENT service (very kind, polite). A special mention for the girl at the counter. Very welcoming atmosphere. If we're in the area, we'll definitely stop here! Must try!!!
Honorable mention goes to the guys at Chicchi, because to open a focacceria right in Voltri, just steps from those historic focaccerias that taught even the foreigners that "Voltri means focaccia"... it takes courage first and foremost! But courage isn't enough: it takes dedication, excellent ingredients, commitment, customer service, and kindness to stay open right there and always have the shop full, whether for a coffee, a vegetable tart from the local farmer, a kilo of flour from the historic stone mill, or a liter of milk from cows raised strictly in our Liguria. When you walk into Chicchi, you know that the focaccia isn't just delicious, but, as my daughter Martina says... "it's the best focaccia I've ever eaten!" And I assure you, my daughter Martina, who goes to school in Recco, knows a thing or two about focaccia... congratulations!
Excellent coffee shop. Everything is incredibly good and at great prices, especially for me, since I'm from Turin. I'd just like to point out to those who are looking for it: it's set back a bit from the main road, and if there's a truck parked out front, like I was, you won't be able to see it! But it's worth looking for.
Fantastic!
A welcoming, well-organized space: a bakery with a wide range of products on one side, and a bar on the other. A double checkout counter to optimize time; cooperative staff, who present themselves in a tidy, uniformed manner. Well-organized and prepared, even with a verbal explanation of the ingredients used.
The space is very small and the staff unsuitable for large crowds. It takes 15 minutes for a pre-made croissant and a latte.
They don't know how to manage a queue, it's been happening to me for a while now and that's it, lost customer, whoever arrives at the bar then skips the entire queue at the counter after and it's normal that those who are in the queue have to wait, if this is how the queue is managed tell me because there's no way I'm going to wait for everyone who was at the bar counter
Unfortunately, contrary to what I've read, I have to say I didn't find the focaccia to be of acceptable quality (as it should be in the best tradition of Voltri focaccia): rather soft and undercooked, almost devoid of salt and therefore flavorless...not to mention its lightness (unknown to me). We also bought a package of corn polenta, but it was nothing more than plain flour, and despite being cooked for a long time in a copper pot, it remained a heavy mush...what can I say? It may be a slip-up, but I wouldn't recommend it.
