I love OTC! It's a weekly (almost daily) work break for me and others in the area. The owners and staff are so friendly and take the time to get to know everyone. The food is tasty. The coffee and tea is excellent. I highly recommend making this a regular coffee stop for those in or passing through Old Town Goleta.

Finally got a chance to try this place out and OMG, blew me away! Such amazing pastries and the BEST coffee in such a cool atmosphere! Didn't know they had the whole back patio area and a cool game room for kids/families. Looking forward to going back for wine in the afternoons too!

Great place to get great coffee while getting some work done. Kind, welcoming baristas and fast service. It gets crowded during midterms and finals, and finding a parking spot can get tricky sometimes. They have a big patio at the back and a game room.

Love this place. We went to see the nutcracker last week and afterwards needed a pick me up. Requested 2 flatwhite espresso. The best we have ever had ♡. We will be back. What is the brand name of your espresso machine? I am assuming the espresso beans were buck off espresso . See you next time we visit, Thank you!

Great coffee shop! The storefront doesn't do it justice, it is huge with multiple different areas for you to relax or work. I was able to sit outside in the shade and do my school work, with my infant in the stroller.

Nitro cold brew slushy was unique and sweet. Can be shared by two.

I love this coffee shop. It is the best one in town. Their coffee is very good! Absolutely my favorite. Try the Gibraltar. They just need to sell chocolate candy bars. I alwayse need to have chocolate with my coffee in the afternoon :-)

A shout out to the new owners! We loved the ping-pong table out on the (spacious) back patio. Overall, a really nice atmosphere... I look forward to my next Santa Barbara trip!

Awesome service, great, friendly environment and empanadas! 2024 edit; whoa, the burritos here are excellent! It's not a mexi-wrap. You need to try it, subtle tastes and a clearly reworked recipe!

The staff at this place are wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Tons of room to sit and do work. Indoor and outdoor seating. This is my go to spot in Goleta. Highly recommend.

My favorite coffee in Goleta. Wonderful kind people, fast service, yummy coffee, clean bathrooms, and a beautiful patio out back. Lots of little nooks and crannies to tuck yourself in with a friend and catch up.

Want a break driving up 101, stop here. I did. Nice staff, lots of seating, and a great cappuccino. Barista dude was a pro. I see they also have Kombucha on tap. Great vibe, cool music. I didnt try any food. I seek out coffee all over the world, and these people do it right. I will come back here on future travels. Nice, clean, generous sized bathrooms.!!!

My favorite coffee shop on town! They've got plenty of outlets and a productive vibe if you're looking to escape the home office. I love how big the space is too and how they can change the vibe up for a game night, comedy show, etc.

Just what I was looking for! Old Town Coffee is a great new local spot for coffee, kombucha, baked goods, and atmosphere. Staff is friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable, and the place is huge (and well decorated). I'll be coming back with more friends next time!

Nice place in a small part of Goleta. Good coffee, danish, etc. I did find one not-great part of the iced latte: the plastic cups have a fairly big cap between the edge of the cup and the hole you drink thru. Not terrible but a different cap on the cup would be good. Otherwise: drink up!

My friends and I LOVE this place. We are students at UCSB and come here almost 2 times a week because of the amazing atmosphere, the friendly workers, and the quality of the drinks. The drinks are not over priced like other coffee shops around Goleta. I highly recommend coming to Old Town and supporting this local coffee shop!

What a great spot! Great tasting coffee, wonderful lounge area and super family Friendly with its arcade and back patio. I love that they have ping-pong, pool and foosball. Eclectic mix of people coming in and out all day.

My favorite coffee flavor of the places I visited in Goleta. Also had the best almond croissant! Would give more stars if I could. Parking is a bit of a pain sometimes.

Old Town Coffee in Santa Barbara is my family's go-to for coffee beans - we don't use any others! Their locally roasted beans make our cold brew and aeropress coffee taste super yummy. Plus, the family that runs it is really nice, they love coffee and care about our community. It's awesome to support them and enjoy great coffee at the same time!

E
Evan Miyakawa

I can't believe I had never been here before till today, I drive past it all the time. It's incredible. A huge indoor and outdoor space, the coffee is probably cheaper than you find anywhere else in SB (I got a great ethiopian pour over for 4 dollars), and they even have ping pong tables. I will be coming back as often as I can.

Amazing coffee, amazing staff and amazing atmosphere! They nailed what I think a coffee shop should be in every way. You know an establishment is good when you start looking at real estate in the area to see if you can afford to live near by! I mentioned what a good looking espresso machine they had and how I’m trying to learn more about making good coffee drinks and the owner gave me some of the tools he thought would be helpful! I’ll gladly support this crew every time I luckily find myself in town! Thanks again, Tim and crew!

This coffee shop was amazing! This location appealed to me since it was not overcrowded. This location has a fantastic vibe. The coffee they had was not very nice. The cakes were likewise freshly made and delicious. Keep up the wonderful and trustworthy service in our region! Thank you!

Awesome family - owned coffee shop that's always hosting great events every week. OTC always supports other local businesses and it shows. From the live entertainment, to the food and art pop-ups out back, you can really tell they take pride in their community. It's been so awesome watching this place grow over the years and I will continue coming back for the fun, the people, and of course the top-notch coffee.

This is one of the best local coffee shops around. The atmosphere is great and the coffee doesn't miss. Ive been here a few times and enjoy it. The prices are fair and product is great. It balances fun and chill for people to decide how they want to spend their time.

T

This coffee shop has grown to become a social center of its neighborhood! It's always busy, but never obnoxiously so, and the addition of beer on tap and more food options has made it a suitable hangout for any time of day. I'm proud to see Old Town's resurgence, thanks in no small part to businesses like OTC.

I'd read great things about the ship but I'd not had a chance to go. What a surprise awaited. outstanding food. delicious coffee and so much room! I was taken aback at how large it was. It makes it so much easier to plan to go and not be concerned about finding a table.

R

So we were looking to get a coffee and decided this would be the place to visit. However, upon arriving we saw the sign that said you had to have a mask to go inside. That is due to the health dept requiring every business to mandate it. Since we didn't have a mask we were contemplating on where to go. While deciding, the manager or owner approached us and said he had two new masks if we wanted them. We politely accepted and went inside. We ordered an iced mocha and a vanilla cold brew coffees. They were perfectly balanced where you could taste the coffee with the flavoring. Neither one was over powered the other. Just right. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. A great gem in Old Town.

Love this coffee shop! Coffee is great + the space is LARGE and nicely decorated. I don't anticipate having a problem finding a table here, which I often do at other local coffee shops! They also have a cute outdoor space that has a ping pong table and corn hole. Staff is kind as well. Good luck OT coffee!

Wow, loved this place! I googled around for good coffee places and was really happy with the latte I got here! The barista was awesome and gave me some good tips for steaming my milk! I would come here regularly!

One of the best all-around coffee shops I’ve been to in a while. Quick and friendly service, extensive food options (for a coffee shop), and great coffee. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors on the patio, which has sufficient shade under the “pavilion” and umbrellas. Beer and wine available and a small arcade/game room as well.

S

I recently moved back to SB and have found the local coffee scene a little lackluster in my part of town. Everything nearby seems corporate or has a nice atmosphere but the coffee is lacking . I was pleased to discover OTC nearby and brought the family with over the weekend. They have a great space, with an amazing patio out back, the whole place is much larger than I would have thought from the street view. Everybody seemed extremely friendly, coffee was great, and our 8 month old little girl enjoyed looking at all the different plants and canine friends that seemed be hanging out with their respective owners. Very pleased to know I will have a new go -to spot, and I'm looking forward to bringing the in-laws when they arrive this week.

We’re driving from Simi Valley on our way up the coast to Cambria for a few days of r&r. We decided to stop for coffee and a break from driving and found Old Town Coffee on Yelp. The place was filled with students studying quietly. We ordered a couple of their baked goods (bagel and croissant) which were quite good. My husband ordered black coffee and I got a Chai Latte, both were excellent. The restrooms were decent and the staff at the counter were very nice and helpful. Prices were average. Next time we’re in that area we’ll be stopping there again!

We are from out-of-town and have really enjoyed stopping here almost every day during our stay. The cinnamon rolls are excellent, along with coffee and teas. There are some table and video games in the back, along with an outdoor patio. Service was quick and very friendly and prices were reasonable.

I found a place that if I was running a coffee shop I would design and run the same way. Old Town Coffee in Goleta. The place is wonderful. They thought enough ahead to install electrical outlets everywhere. Nearly all of the tables and chairs have their own outlet. Something simple, but shows you how much they thought of everything. The decor is rustic, laid back and comfortable. The patio is such a relaxing place I lose track of time. I need to be more thoughtful as sometimes all of the tables are full and I need to leave so that others can enjoy the view and the friendly people. The owners are the best. They remembered my name after the first time. I drive several miles out the the way, past numerous good coffee shops to spend a nice relaxing morning there. Oh, and the coffee- excellent, served with warmth and love every time.

Old Town Coffee is a true haven for anyone seeking a cozy spot to work, unwind, and indulge in delicious treats. With ample outlets strategically placed throughout the space, it is a haven for remote workers and students. No more scrambling for a power source! Coupled with their blazing-fast Wi-Fi, it's a productivity paradise. And when the weather permits, their outdoor space has comfortable seating, plenty of shade, and yes, even more outlets – it's an oasis for those who prefer a breath of fresh air while they work or socialize. You can also take a break and play board games, ping-pong, billiards, air hockey, video games, and more. The coffee and food is delicious! A local BBQ popup was there for lunch and the brisket was amazing! The staff members go above and beyond to ensure your experience is nothing short of stellar. They're always there with a smile. Old Town Coffee is a special place with its combination of great coffee, delicious food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance. Whether you're seeking a spot to power through your workday or simply unwind, this place has it all. Highly recommended!

I love this place. It has a nice environment for hanging out outside and plenty of room indoors to work with table space and outlets. The service is always really good and the people working here are very nice and attentive. I really appreciate that they have great loose leaf teas that they serve in a pot with a timer, which is not something many cafés offer. I'm not a coffee drinker myself, but my friends say it's good. They also have a selection of pastries, empanadas, and other small foods. Great place and I keep coming back!

Stop to get our coffee on our way back from Cambria. A pleasant surprise. We did not plan to stay , but we did. We were greeted by friendly staff. The place is much larger than it appears. The oat milk latte was excellent. It has been my habit to check for the potential art works under the coffee cap. To my surprise, it was there. The outdoor patio is spacious. Available outlets are everywhere. Would come back here again on our next trip.

I don’t usually go to a coffee shop to study, but I find this cafeteria that it is close to my house (2 blocks away), it is a comfortable place to study, hangout, and to come with the family. This is one of the best places in Goleta to go an drink coffee meanwhile studying. I highly recommended!

Wonderful spot in Old Town Goleta. Great coffee, very nice burritos, lots of space inside and out. Not quite sure how parking would work - but that may be an issue for this whole area, to actually post signs for where parking might be (not a store issue, of course, a city one). Stop in for a break - won’t be disappointed!

I would be honest with you: if you like coffee, this place is a MUST. Tim and his crew were amazing. The Latte and Cappuccino are made with perfection - from the amount of milk, temperature, texture, and ....THE COFFEE. Home roasted (you can also purchase the beans) and simply amazing. And why not grab some food as well? The area is cozy, pet friendly, high speed internet, and some games there as well. We visited there 4 days (out of 5) that we were in Santa Barbara. HIGHLY recommend 👌 we will be back soon.

Came here for the first time today! I was waiting for my car at Toyota and wanted some breakfast so I walked to Old Town. Vibes were nice when I walked in and it was decorated for Christmas. They also have a special going on right now that if you bring in an ornament to put on the tree, you get a free 12 oz drink! So cute! I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and the bagel was really fluffy and soft and toasted perfectly. I also got a hot gingerbread chai and it was soooo good! Staff was very friendly and I would 100% go back!

Passing through after a visit to UCSB and needed a place to do some work for 3 hours. Great vibe, friendly, relaxed atmosphere, lots of space, power outlets and great coffee. They have a cool patio area (also with plugs) and even an arcade! Seems like a mix of locals and visitors. Was able to park along street in front (1 hour free). I got a cortado (50:50 Espresso:Milk). Their baristas are trained and they know what they are doing. They’re not undergrad students, they’re actual baristas (this isn’t Dune). They gave me a perfectly balanced espresso shot with perfectly silky milk. Even the art was awesome and this is an 80-100 mL drink (that’s hard). Solid 5/5 Espresso drinks. They are the definition of a great chocolaty coffee. The roast was a little too chocolaty for a cortado to my taste (COMPLETELY SUBJECTIVE, their shots may fit a cappuccino or a latte better to my taste). The barista is extremely experienced and he pulled a 10/10 shot. I would love to try other espresso roasts from them but unfortunately I only saw one espresso bag for sale (which I bought instantly). I would love to see the owner getting creative and taking more risks on flavor. I would love to see them expressing either more earthy, or fruity flavors in other roasts being sold on the side or as special editions. They are simply too good to not visit and they are too good to mess up a drink by under or over extracting it. The milk was silk!

Absolutely loved how flexible and considerate the staff / owners were and glad they were able to make an interesting spicy drink. Next time I’d like to try something else like a lavender latte. I come here EVERY. DAY. I always get a pour over, and it always tastes amazing. Something about the roast is 95+% consistent and so is the brew. These guys know what they’re doing, and they can explain what makes it great, which I enjoy. This is a great spot to go and work, to chat with a friend or let the kids run. There are a variety of games in the enclosed patio at the back that the littles (or bigs) can play with while you enjoy your coffee and a friend. I didn't get a chance to try the food but the coffee was good and I will be back!

Adorable interior. Simple and charming and inviting. The employees are lovely, I was taken perfect care of and received exactly what I requested which is a "tiny bit" of flavor. Most places dont get it right. This one does. The coffee is excellent, made quickly but well. Service made it even better. Thank you for a lovely start to my morning!

Great coffee and friendly staff. The cinnamon roll is very good. Indoor seating plus large, enclosed outdoor patio out back. Can put your bike out there if riding. The patio is also dog-friendly.

I like this place and I'm glad it exists. I study here for a couple hours, a few times a week. You can order a mug of coffee "for here" and it comes with refills. They also have a nice beer selection.

Thank you to Izzy and Malcolm for a splendid oak milk latte and great conversation. These guys have excellent taste in music! Hey Siri play Taken For a Fool by the Stokes.

They have decent coffee and a good selection of empanadas. The place has great spacious seating and friendly employees. My only complaint is that my latte had way too much milk added for the espresso.

Coffee is good nothing special, but the bagels are really good. Great spot to sit down and get some work down

Nice, local coffee shop that has good coffee and a great selection of quality pastries and sandwiches. The owner/manager is really kind. The reason I give it 4 stars is that I asked for a “splash of milk” in my drip coffee, but the owner told me no, that there was half & half, and that I could help myself. Milk and half & half are not the same thing, and I personally find half & half disgusting. I asked for milk, and she told me no. Overall, a nice local business that I encourage all to visit when in Goleta.

Really good coffee and empanadas. Super friendly staff who remember your face. I used to come here to work. The only downsides are the outdoor music (which isn't concentration friendly, but definitely would appeal to others), and the smell of fumes (which could be temporary). I would still recommend Old Town and will probably come back for more.

The coconut milk and the oat milk can be kinda yucky. Please serve up your caps and lattes for non-cow milk drinkers with something delicous for customers who want nice yummy drink sans chemical after taste. Hope so! I aslo noted the great Danish pastries were replaced by something nowhere as good?? Darn. ....... Today Nov 2024 my oat latte has a terrible after taste. Upsets my stomach and such a wretched taste. Why is this? What happened!!! Using sour oat milk??? Bad coffee? Hope this never happens again. .................. Prior Review Love this coffee shop, sometimes parking is difficult and I do wish they offered more non meat savory options however the coffee is excellent, the food they do offer is great, esp love their cinnamon buns and the service is fast and friendly. They also offer interested pre-packaged snacks including fine chocolates and crickets!

Super roomy interior and patio. Great coffee and fantastic cinnamon roll! Highly recommend! ------ Edit: bad iced matcha... Don't get that, not worth it at all

Very good staff and they have good options for coffee. I am not a regular coffee drinker, but during my stay in Goleta I made quite a few visits here for the latte.

Excellent Service. INCREDIBLE remote work spot. TONS of seating and outlets. Coffee was not great. I have a high standard for my drip, this did not meet it. Would still absolutely work here again for the vibes, next time I’ll try the espresso.

It's a great spot! But during the day they play music so loud. They seem to be unaware that most of their clientele is on their laptops there to get work done. But they blast 80's music as if there is some sort of party.

Cute coffee shop with decent food but beware. I was having a pleasant Monday afternoon until while using the restroom (after drinking my coffee), someone jiggled the locked door which I yelled occupied and didn't think anything of, only to have the locked door manually unlocked and opened by the girl working behind the counter. As the door opened I yelled OCCUPIED once more but it was whipped open regardless. Needless to say, having the people seated outside of the bathroom see me on the toilet was not how I anticipated spending my work break. There was no real apology, just a quick 'sorry' and then a partial re-shutting of the bathroom door. Mortifying.

I was so glad for a coffee shop to open in old town. OTC has a really nice layout, I have been four times. The empanadas are a great snack. I have not tried any espresso but the regular coffee is weak and has the flavor associated with not using enough coffee for the amount of water. The music (at least in the back) on two ocassions was somewhat distractingly loud but I had one experience where the music was unbearably loud. I finally turned it down only to have it turned up again a few minutes later. I tried to give it one more chance but it was unpleasant for reasons I don't care to mention.

Cool atmosphere, great coffee. I think they nuke the food because I burned my lip on the breakfast burrito. Had to open it and let it sit for over a minute before eating. Otherwise good little place Friendly staff though only some were wearing masks. They lose two stars for personal freedom over public safety.

The food was delicious. The customer service could do better to improve the atmosphere. At the time of my visit, I noticed one of the employees was not wearing a mask (it was an older gentleman with grey hair) and the young lady who took our order was unkind and had no welcoming customer service skills. Carry out might be ideal if you want to try their food.

I would rather have to go through a machine with prompts of options instead of a wall that reacts only if I do. I understand the people working there want to be as friendly as possible however, a heavy sigh and a visibly drained customer isn’t apparent to some of the people that attend you here. Suggesting what you’re promoting or inquiring if a customer would like anything more or would like to make any sort of adjustments to their order would be a nice start. The customer service may be lacking a bit, but the atmosphere is great for lounging, people who work from a computer, or for when you just want to hang out at the arcade they have. It’s great for all ages :) Empathy and attentiveness to a PERSON [not just a “customer”] is missing in my opinion and I tip simply because the food is good.

This place I found to be very welcoming. I was able to wait there while my husband worked around corner as we I re not permanent residentsn. when I used the bathroom. I was not in for more then 5 min when there was pounding on door demanding me to exit due to line . But truth be told it's because I have a skin condition that is a handicap and I'm always discriminated against. Great place just be sure not to use bathroom if your sick

Male worker with mustache and that wannabe vibe is so annoying he tries to butt into every conversation - narcissistic much? Self absorbed at best Didnt enjoy my food either the burrito was dry and crusty

I ordered a breakfast sandwich but inside was cold. And the blueberry tea no taste. It was like ice water.

Cool place, but didn’t care for their coffee or tea unfortunately. The banana peanut butter toast was pretty good though.

I ordered an iced oat latte yesterday. While I was waiting and causally checking my phone, I saw the barista pouring regular milk in an espresso cup. I was thinking it might be for someone else and later my name got called. I asked him is it oat latte, he said yes. Don’t understand why he chose to lie in front of my face and the coffee also sucks!Don’t GO!

So disappointing. We loved their location downtown so wanted to swing by this location on our way out of town. One person was handling all the orders, while the two other workers just chatted with each other. Then another person, who had been chatting with a friend, came behind the counter and just watched the women making all the coffees rather than helping her. I waited almost 20min for a coffee, even though there was hardly any customers waiting. When the coffees were finally ready, they weren’t even made correctly. Such an unfortunate way to end an awesome trip… i want to support local businesses but it is experiences like this that make me go to Starbucks.

I wish I could give zero stars. I just witnessed a worker, maybe the owner, be absolutely racist to a PAYING customer. Not only did she feel the need to harass this customer for not buying more than one coffee for the time he was there. She was rude with with and the customer left without a hassle, maybe a few words, but they left. She still felt the need to run out of the shop and chase him down the street to harass him even more. Never ever ever supporting this place again. It was absolutely horrendous to witness

I went to this coffee shop and it was dreadful to say the least…The coffee was like water, and the service? Please! The staff didn't give a hoot about quality or customers. There are way better cafes out there
