Delicious NY style pizza, and the friendliest workers! Celka went above and beyond for our group. It was a pleasure getting to meet her, and she helped ensure we and our visitors had a fantastic first authentic NY style pizza experience.
Cozy little pizza spot. Happily made some penne pizza for me even though it was late. Delicious food, great service!
Great pizza!! We heard pizza in NY is on different level and Uncle Paul’s Pizza did prove that 😋
Exceptionally good pizza. Perfect anytime of the day. Really hits the spot. Highly Recommended!!!
Nice little pizza place right behind Grand Central Station. Very good selection of different pizza slices. Very friendly staff which explained all types of slices to us. Did not expect such a good and tasty pizza! Can really recommend this place :)
If you are visiting NYC just stop looking for another pizza place & go here. Truly the best pizza I've ever had. Im dreaming about it daily.
Stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. They get pretty busy around lunch time and there inside is a little small. There is a good selection of specialty slices and entrees. I decided to so with the standard plain slice and a grandma. The guy working the oven were very pleasant and they were joking with each other and it added to the character of the place. The pizza was very good and the prices are reasonable for Manhattan.
This was a great little Italian restaurant. The staff were very friendly and, during our second visit in a week, they recognized us and engaged in conversation. The pizzas were New York style, but a bit more artisan. The meat balls were amazing, and a very good sized portion as well! We highly recommend!
Quick stop after checking out Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Radio City. Needed a good New York slice. Stopped in for a slice of white, margherita, and a sicilian slice and a drink. It was the perfect lunch before heading over to Grand Central Terminal. Great dough and a hot slice for the afternoon pick-me-up.
Wasn't even on my radar, until we walked by saw the cozy atmosphere with wine options and we stopped in. The pizza was incredible.
I’d be snobby enough to say I’m a pizza vet growing up around these parts and I was surprised I never tried this spot being as I’m always in and out of GCC. Very solid. Marg on point. I live abroad where NYC pizza is nonexistent and I grabbed this fresh off the taxi from the airport before MetroNorth to CT. Good call!
Great pizza, awesome vide and amazing staff that are friendly and know their pizzas very well!
Fantastic new York style pizza!! We orderd a Margherita pizza slice and a pepperoni pizza slice, both slices were delicious and had the satisfactory crunch one would expect. We also ordered a chicken calzone, it was very tasty and massive. We also ordered some hot chicken wings and they were massive, delicious, crunchy, and tasty. The staff are very friendly and well mannered. The bathroom is one of the cleanest is NYC! I will come back again.
My favorite pizza in the city. I love their regular crust and Sicilian slices. The service is great and it is a nice laid back atmosphere. I’ll always go out of my way to get Uncle Paul’s, even when there are tons of other pizza places to choose from. It’s that good! I love the regular cheese slice but it’s always fun to try something new as well.
We tried many different places around town for the best pizza 🍕. This place had the best tasting pizza. The customer service was excellent. The staff members are excellent and the ambiance had this classic Italian feel to it. Hands down 5 stars. Not greasy and full of flavor. We bought a slice of pepperoni and came back for a while cheese to go. Yummy yummy in our tummy 🤤😋
The BEST pizza in New York City, hands down. You have to try the buffalo chicken pizza - it will blow your mind. We had a group of 7 and we were able to sit down right away, grab some beers and order food. Sammy was AMAZING and the staff was exceptionally friendly, plus the food came out fast and hot! Seriously, if you're looking for somewhere local - with great food and no frills, this is it!
The pizza here is excellent and rivals the best we have had on previous trips to Italy. Who would have thought that lobster and corn pizza would taste so good? We also tried both salads and desserts here, which were equally as delicious. Service was excellent too and the atmosphere is very cosy and friendly. All good!
There are not many good options for NY cheese slice close to the NY attractions for the tourists. Uncle Paul’s is located in the right place. Pizza at Uncle Paul’s is just the way I imagined NY pizza to be. It was the best. The employees are really friendly. It is one of the reasonably priced pizza joints that is ideal to grab a quick pizza before or after a visit to the summit - Vanderbilt
Best Pizza in the area! Fast service and affordable prices for a quality meal. Can’t beat $5 pizza in the middle of Manhattan.
A recommendation from the staff at our hearby hotel- and incredibly on point. We had slices of the buffalo, spinach, Hawaiian, and Lasagna. I never knew pizza could melt in your mouth, but this sure did. The crust was perfectly crispy- not hard, toppings were portioned to allow the flavors to blend without losing any taste, or overwhelming any one flavor. It's small, so i feel like we were lucky to get a seat, bc it was quite busy. The staff were super nice as well.
Working in the area, also on the prowl for a tasty meal at a reasonable price. Hard to find here in Midtown.. Cheese pizza, the crust was a bit floppy. Pepperoni pizza bomb. Crispy crust, just as a NYC slice should be ! Friendly smile. $9.80 for 2 slices. Will make this a regular spot, grab it to go, and eat outside.
I stopped in here Monday morning on my way back to Chicago. Customer service was great. Plus lots of seating. I initially had one slice of pizza went back for a second one that was recommended to me absolutely delicious and I hold pizza in a high regard because I’m from Chicago if I stop in New York, which I will be very soon I will be back. ❤️
Shoutout to the entire staff here. Today was my birthday and everything was shutdown because of the blizzard rightfully so. We were trying to make the best of it and find something opened to just grab something to eat. They were troopers being opened and working so hard. We could see they were working on to-go orders like crazy and delivering everything rapidly. The pizza was delicious especially the buffalo chicken with bacon slice.
Really nice small by-the-slice pizzeria. Met a friend and had dinner with her on a Friday evening. There were in people and out while we were there, but we were able to sit at one of the tables and chat and catch up. It was very cozy and nice! The employees were friendly and polite, and the pizza was delicious. 😊
Came from Connecticut with my family and was looking for a place to eat after long walks. Asked around for places to eat and no one would give me a good recommendation. Went on Google and UNCLE PAULS PIZZA was about 5mns away from us. Walked over and it was packed however it was soooo worth it. I know CT is #1 in Pizza lol (dont be mad 😛🤣🤣) but this small place is reeeally good. And the service was great. Employee's were all very nice and not rude like every other place I went to buy from << (not food wise) Even tho it was packed we only waited about 3-4mns for our 1lg 1md pizzas. And let me tell you the Pizzas were soooo soo good. They gave us free soda just because.. My husband was gonna pay for the sodas and they said "its on the house" . Idk why 🤷🏻♀️ We also had their cheese cake. I recommend this place 💯👌🏼 (BY THE WAY I AM A PICKY EATER) That should tell you a lot. ❤️
I came with a young boy, who is Autistic, and wanted pizza, but, didn't have enough $. Apparently, the owner overheard me. He made the offer to give the pizza for free for the boy. It was such a blessing.. Happy New years to you sir 🎉💐💯🎁
Man! You wanna talk about REAL NY pizza? Right here, no cap! Massive slices, nice and greasy and walking distance from anywhere worth being. Stopped in here, didn’t get charged for ranch to go with my pizza and it was cozy warm which was great because it was freezing outside! Awesome place awesome pizza! 🍕
The gluten-free pizza was big, delicious, and exceeded my expectations. Great flavor, great texture, and excellent value for the price. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty gluten-free option!
The space feels welcoming from the moment you enter. They delivered our order quickly. The pricing remains competitive. The staff's professionalism was particularly impressive. I'm happy with this restaurant and think you'll be too.
The food here exceeds expectations and this is my first experience. Our selections all showed freshness, good flavor and proper cooking technique. The service team showed great skill. This spot deserves recognition beyond standard ratings. Every detail here was well-executed.
This SMALL pizza joint on Vanderbilt in NYC is a little gem! A bunch of different choices for pizza, both toppings and crust alike. You make your choices and pay them and stand there until they call your order. Eat in or take out. Tables may be hard to come by if it’s during lunch or dinner time. Delicious pizza! One hundred percent authentic New York pizza. Not overly clean, but cleanish inside. Great NYC food and experience!
Man, how happy was I to having found this place. I have been so tired of all the rubber like buns that they sell all over the US. One of the best pizzas I ever ate, the dough was great and crispy not too pricey, beer was cheap. The cook was from Spain so we had a nice chat. What do you want more?
Right outside of Grand Central Station across from Met Life Building. Small Pizzeria with outside seating. Had a sausage slice & a sausage & pepperoni slice. Both were really good. Crust was burnt which I like. They have bottle beers & can beers & wine. Sign says $5 drafts, but there draft taps had no heads on them so I didn’t ask. Staff was friendly. Better option for pizza rather then inside Grand Central. Sausage slice & 1 Peroni beer was $11. They also make pasta dishes, hero’s, Pannis, Salads, Rolls & Stromboli’s, Chicken dinners & a few appetizers.
Small spot but the pizza’s good. And you gotta have it hot and fresh
Ok pizza, there was no line-up, compared to other places. Pizza is warmed up, so all oil comes out. Service is ok. We stopped here since it was close to place we were visiting. Wouldn't go back.
I once had the grandma pizza and I could tell it was so fresh and flavorful. A great pizza spot!
My partner and I headed here shortly after arriving in NYC after a long trans-Atlantic flight. We'd been looking forward to trying one of NY's most famous gastronomic specialities, and this was the closest to our hotel with a good rating so we headed over. I had a slice of plain cheese pizza, and a slice of the aubergine one, and both were absolutely fantastic; the crusts were nice and thin and crispy along the bottom. Service was really good too; the servers were very friendly and the food arrived quickly. They have a decent selection of beers too.
I did outdoor dining and it was a very pleasant experience, weather was a Lil breezy. Server Zelka was very sweet, I had a slice of Spinach Pizza with wings , half hot and half barbecue. I tried the Cannoli for dessert . Food didn't take.long to serve and it was hot on arrival. Food was tasty, Overall this a place I would come from time to time.
Stopped in for a slice of pizza on a Wednesday evening in mid May. Very tasty slice. Cost a bit over $4 for this slice of cheese pizza. Wasn’t too busy inside on my visit so was served quickly. Staff was friendly enough. Convenient location near Grand Central. I would happily revisit this place to try their pizza again.
Great pizza selections with nice seating options and friendly service. The one thing that was annoying, is that they have so many drink options that when I went to pick two different ones, I was told they only had what was in the back fridge (which I could hardly see) so I had to ask what the cashier had in the back fridge before I could choose a drink. Other than that, the pizza was a little bit greasy but delicious!
25.06.2018 Walking the streets at night can make you hungry. We had asked the guy at our hotels front desk (Jonathan) for a Good Pizza and he recommended Uncle Paul's. So off we went trying to find this place a few blocks from our hotel. Its a small joint off one of the main roads. Even though it was almost midnight it was busy and people kept coming in for Pizza. I had the Chicken and Bacon one with Chipotle Mayo, and my friend had the Grandma Pizza. Both were delicious - the base was thin and crispy and the flavour was yum. I only had one slice but it was more than enough. Service was very quick and friendly. #TheFoodMusketeerTravels #TFMTakesNewYork #TheFoodMusketeerEats #TheFoodMusketeer
Stopped in here for a slice of vegetarian pizza. In terms of the pizza itself, it tasted good. However I didn’t find the service all that friendly. I was the only customer in there, and I felt like I was really being a nuisance to the guy working there asking what the different toppings were. Every time I asked what topping was on a specific pizza he rolled his eyes and seemed annoyed. If it’s that annoying, top tip, stick a label next to each pizza, it would save theirs customers asking what pizzas they were. Personally, it feels very dark in there too, could also do with some more light.
$5.75 for one margarita slice. The most I’ve paid for a slice in my life, and I live in Manhattan.
6/5/25 Terrible steak sandwich. In Doordash description, it doest say it automatically comes with onions and peppers. It clearly says just steak and cheese. I Also payed for extra meat and cheese, this IS NO WHERE NEAR EXTRA..... Also requested mayonnaise, none was given. Cheff missed the request... then the lady said I should've mentioned no peppers or onions , but what for if chef didn't read my mayo request. Steak too salty aswell.. very disappointed. Their pizza is good. Stick with that.
I found this place first in 2015, and was instantly in love with their pizza, especially the prosciutto do Parma. I was a coming back customer until 2018. Years later something has changed. My husband and I visited this place and I was upset and disappointed beyond. First of all, they charged us 10 dollars more “by mistake”, my husband noticed that l. Then the prosciutto di Parma pizza which is all most 40$ comes with arugula, there was zero arugula and romaine lettuce instead. When I asked why there is no arugula, they said they were out and putting spring mix with “some” arugula in it. They also didn’t let us know, thus allowing to choose anything else. Tl;dr they can charge you more and serve you with something cheaper. Very very very disappointed. Whoever is running this place now is slacking, or their staff does.
Average Pizza, Friendly service. They are famous for their Mariana sauce ... but I'm not sure what the hype really is about this place. They have a good selection of pizza's but nothing out of the ordinary. Located by the Roosevelt hotel and walking distance from Grand Central station.
The pizza was enjoyable, but the service left a lot to be desired. This is a self-service pizzeria where you order at the counter, yet the cashier expected a tip and became visibly offended when I didn’t provide one. I initially planned to take my order to go but decided to have a glass of wine—also ordered and picked up by myself—and eat in, giving the restaurant more business. Despite no table service, I was overcharged for the wine, and the cashier tipped herself without permission. To make matters worse, she then lectured me about not wasting a pizza box in the future if I planned to eat in. A restaurant where tables are not waited should earn tips through service and kindness, not demand them. If customer generosity is expected, it should be reciprocated. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
I ordered delivery (which was fast) and my pizza still arrived cold but that’s beside the point because even after heating it up; it was still terrible. Hands down worst buffalo chicken slice I ever had. No ranch or blue cheese drizzle on it and chicken was chewy plus buffalo sauce had no flavor. My pepperoni slice was burnt with no sauce on it. My grandma slice was as small as a poptart; had hardly no sauce, dry AF and cheese tasted horrible like it was out for the whole weekend. I am baffled by these good reviews on here. I tried to get a refund on grubhub but they wouldn’t give me one. Only got a $5 coupon for a future order. and don’t think grubhub is to blame because they delivered it quick. It was just old, cold lousy pizza. Maybe it would be more fresh if I went to the place and chose my slice. But Uncle Paul’s definitely gave me the weekend leftovers and now I won’t be back after that shadiness.
Extremely arrogant service, I’m never going back there. It was my first time in New York and he was rude to me and my girlfriend, not giving us time to choose the pizzas and getting angry when we asked about the flavors.
Really appalled at this place. In an area where traffic and customers are no problem whatsoever they are charging $4.00 for a slice of plain cheese pizza? Sorry what? I can get a whole sandwich for $6.50 lol! I actually told them that I walked by 3 0.99 cents slice places and they accosted me for even bringing it up. On top of the insane price gauging and bullying you not to talk about it the place is filthy and dark. Not all of us work at the big banks that surround your location. Huge disappointment
I ordered a pizza from Uncle Paul's Pizza. It was almost 10 minutes late, so, therefore, it was cold. What's worse is when the pizza arrived, the box was smashed in. When I opened the box, all of the cheese and sauce had run off the pizza, and pizza was stuck to the top of the box. Horrible. I called Uncle Paul's Pizza to tell them of the issue, and the person I spoke to was exceedingly rude and proceeded to tell me that it's not his problem and refused to help me. That is the worst customer service I have encountered in ages, and it is completely unacceptable.
