Fue una recomendación de una amiga que vivió en Granada unos cuantos años y cumplió las altas expectativas. La verdad es que estaba todo muy bueno: las croquetas de rabo de toro, los pimientos de padrón, el boquerones frito al limón y los chopitos. También hemos degustado la bebida con vermut - vargas, que estaba muy curioso, lo recomiendo.

Recomendado, este bar restaurant ofrece gran variedad de platos, nosotros hemos pedido unas cuantas tapas, como alitas, costilla y papas con alioli, esta ultima no fue de nuestro agrado, la salsa alioli le faltaba algo de sabor. El resto de la comida fue estupenda y la atencion de primera. Aqui tambien nos pusieron una tapa cortecia riquisima, fue tostada de jamon asado, que fue una pasada de sabor

Avila es un bar de tapas algo mas sofisticado. Es un lugar muy concurrido por lo que se recomienda ir al momento de su apertura Acompañan los tragos con tapas, que si bien no son en platos individuales están mas que bien. Se debe probar obligatoriamente el jamón asado, que es increíble. Las tapas son muy abundantes, la atención de los mozos un 10.

Sin duda uno de los mejores bares de tapas de Granada, tienen dos creo que muy cercanos. Importante: llegas y que te apunten en la lista para comer, según orden de llegada. Está muy concurrido así que buena opción comer a partir de las 15:30 esperarás menos. El personal de 10 y una vez te sientas en 5 minutos tienes todo en la mesa. Recomendación: lo mejor JAMÓN ASADO, CROQUETAS RABO DE TORO. Muy buenos los boquerones. Y para entrante una ensalada de tomate com Melba. Un 10 en todo y si volvemos seguro. Muchas gracias

this bar gets super busy so get here early or you’ll have to wait a while for a table. luckily, we managed to get a spot at the bar. their sangria was delicious and they very generously let you choose the complimentary tapas that come with the drinks you order. all of the food we tried was delicious though the best bite was undoubtedly the jamon asado. on top of the free tapas, we also ordered the boquerones with lemon which was delicious too!

This is my favorite place in all of Granada. I don’t want to tell you that because you’re only make the line longer get there at least by 7:30 because the line gets long quick. The food is fantastic. The drinks are terrific. The vibe is wonderful if you want a table get in line I go right to the bar and hang with Jesus. He is the man and he knows it. Services quick fast generous I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is definitely my favorite. I went there five nights out of the five that I stayed in Granada actually I stayed there six but they were closed on New Year’s Eve or I would’ve been there.

This is hands down my favorite tapas spot in Granada. The food is great and the staff makes you feel at home. Definitely the best jamón asado in Granada, just make sure to get there a bit early or before they open if you want to get a table because it is always packed due to its great tapas and raciones.

What a spectacular place, the roasted jamon bacadillo is the best i had in Granada. Marinated dogfish was recommended by the waiter and thoroughly enjoyed. When you come in, go straight to the waiter who will write down your name and call when the table is ready. In the meantime you can enjoy a drink at the bar. In the spirit of Granada, a tapa of your choice comes included with the drink for free.

Great place full of locals. Amazing food. Baked ham is out of this world, same with fried fish mix. Huge portions. If you are not extremely hungry- take half portion. You get random tapas for free with your order. Place worth visiting.

We tried the ham that everyone orders and the oxtail croquettes — both were delicious! The portions were quite generous, so it was a bit much for two people to share. If you’re ordering drinks, I’d recommend waiting to see what tapas come with them first — we ended up getting another meat dish with our drinks, so in hindsight we would’ve chosen something lighter like the tomatoes or seafood to balance things out.

This restaurant was fantastic! The employee was super nice and moved us to a bigger table once it was free. We asked for jamon assado, flamequin, croquetes of touro and jamon ibérico. Our favorite was croquetes de touro. They also gave us a free first dish with fries and Bolognese and when we asked for another beer a free tuna patê! Overall great tasting experience.

Went here on a Saturday. It was pretty crowded. At 2pm we already had to wait outside but continue reading cause it was worth it. They write down your name and call you when there is a spot. Luckily enough we only had to wait 20min. You can go inside and order a drink while waiting and you get a little appetizer. That was so good (black rice) that I ordered it again after. With every drink you get a tapa but obviously we also ordered tons. Specially recommend the jamon, the tomatoes and the fried octopus. I also really liked a wine from Granada. Also my messy husband spilled on his shirt and the waiter was so kind to give a proper spray for his shirt. Worked like a miracle. Thank you!

Really good tapas. I had the Jamón Asado and the Manitas de Cerdo. Must try. Service was quick and kind enough. Cost was good for three tapas I paid about 12 euros. Go early, it gets full quickly.

Our Alhambra tour guide recommended this place to us, coining it as a local favourite and it did not disappoint. We arrived a little past noon just to find it already packing with locals mingling with their drinks. We ordered some dishes and was told we had more than enough. The really friendly, non English speaking server then asked us gesturing on the menu if we'd love a dish that we didn't order, he made it clear through body language it was his favourite, so we said yes. Portions are so big we recommend to order the smaller portions whenever possible, we are a party of 4 and we had more than enough of each dish to share. We highly recommend the tomato salad, which was just tomato slices soaked in olive oil and herbs, yet it was divine. We also really loved the fried mixed seafood, the batter was ever so light and it was just perfect for the fresh seafood! We were surprised to find that at the end of the really delicious meal that, the dish we initially didn't order but was recommended to us, wasn't charged and was on the house, offered to us for free with drinks, a Granada tradition where free tapas is given with drinks order! It was such an amazing and authentic experience, I can't recommend it enough and I'm so grateful for our guide for his recommendation!!

Free tapas whenever you ordered a beer or wine! They have a pretty extensive menu of tapas to choose from (see photo). We came around 1PM in March and although it was pretty busy, we were seated quickly. You can also eat / order at the bar like true Spanish style! This place was busy and you can understand why. Service was also pretty great for a busy place like this. We got the jambon and Avila burger and they were both absolutely delicious and must try. They don’t look like anything crazy but it was well seasoned and delicious. The burger especially was the perfect balanced of sweet and savoury. Also recommend trying the Protos white wine. We would 100% be back!!! Gracias 🙏🏼

It’s ridiculous how good this place is. Jamon, albondigas, boquerones con limon and croquetas were our top choices, the only thing I didn’t like was the calamar. And the service is the best. Great free tapas (everything on the left side of the menu) with wine and beer. Very good prices for what you get. At night, arrive around 20 minutes before opening or you won't get a table.

Awesome tapas, great vibes and great service even tho is a very busy bar. Is a most visit place if you come to granda. The Jamón asado is the best

Buen sitio para tapear en Granada. Una parte de la carta la tienen para poder elegir como tapa por cada bebida que pidas y el resto son raciones y medias raciones. A destacar de lo que pedimos la tapa estrella que es el jamón asado y también nos gustaron mucho los boquerones al limón que pedidos en media vienen generosamente servidos. El resto de tapas que probamos más normalitas. El local es amplio y moderno y el servicio de camareros muy eficaz y servicial. Todo muy limpio. Por último llegamos 5 minutos antes de apertura del turno de noche y ya había una cola de gente esperando por lo que es muy recomendable acudir con tiempo.

Es un sitio bueno para tapear y tomar algunas raciones. Se forman largas colas y necesitas apuntarte en lista para poder pillar mesa. MUY NECESARIO SABERLO, por suerte teníamos a alguien que ya sabía de esto... Sino capaz esperamos media hora fuera para que luego digan que no podemos pillar sitio

Bar que si vienes a Granada debes de venir si o si. Debes de pedir el montadito de jamon asado, riquisimooooooo. También probé la tapa de callos, me lo recomendó mi amiga que esta muy bueno. Recomiendo ir temprano para no tener que esperar a una mesa

Recomiendo ir con tiempo ya que se forman muchas colas y hay un largo tiempo de espera. La comida un 10, te sirven largo bebida con una tapa a elegir, y todas las que probamos estaban muy buenas. De primeras te ofrecen el jamón asado y la verdad que sorprende de lo rico que está. Lo único en contra es la organización en cuanto a mesas que están esperando, la puerta se colapsa y no sabes que te tienes que apuntar en una lista nada más llegar para poder conseguir mesa. Creo que haría falta un poco más de organización en ese aspecto, alguien controlando la puerta e impidiendo que entrara más gente dentro si ya está lleno, apuntado la gente que va llegando y una mejor gestión. Todos los camareros y el jefe fueron muy amables con nosotros y la verdad que disfrutamos mucho de la comida.

I arrived 15 minutes before the 8 AM opening, and there was already a line. The line grew even longer in an instant. Despite the crowd, the staff seated everyone efficiently, took orders quickly, and served the food incredibly fast — truly professional. I tried the roasted jamón for the first time, and it was pretty good with a beer. It had a slightly dry, porky texture that didn’t really connect with the thin jamón I was used to, but it was tasty in its own way. The rest of the dishes were also unique and delicious.

Great spot for tapas. Glad we came early, because it filled up fast and the line outside was long. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the croquetas (plus the flamenquín) were my favorites. Feels like a lively family place, with warm and friendly service. Only minus: those tall wooden benches — your back won’t thank you after a while.

Fui a comer en este lugar de tapas, pero de tapas solo tiene el nombre, aunque claro está que cómo típico restaurante, colocan una tapa al pedir una cerveza, que en Granada es tradición y viene genial. Pero no vimos tapas en el restaurante, solo medias porciones y raciones. Nos pedimos costillas, alitas de pollo y papas alioli, la comida estuvo bueno, excluyendo las pagas que estaban incomible, no las recomiendo, las alitas de pollo están buenas, pero algunas estaban sin cocinar bien y tenían sangre, muy desagradable, lo que tiene un dies de dies son las costillas, todo el sabor que le faltó a la comida, lo tenías las costillas. La atención estuvo limitada, los camareros fueron poco comunicativos, pero muy respetuosos.

Went twice once in December 2023 and then again in December 2025. Visit in December 2023 was what convinced me this was the place to be at. Server accommodating my rusty Spanish, advising me on what tapas to order in relation to what tapas were accompanying drinks on the day, and even willing to make changes according to my preferences! But things seem to have changed in December 2025. Came back with family instead of a friend and the vibes are still the same but this time I noticed a few differences. Arrived just after lunch opening and a British group and my party (very obviously Asian from our skin and features) were served bean stew as tapas accompanying out drinks while the Spanish folk who arrived after us were served jamon asado and olives as tapas. While I recognize that it is the restaurant's prerogative, the two-tier treatment between foreigners and Spaniards couldn't be more obvious. Also, maybe I am mistaken but I got a second round of drinks and accompanying tapa was not served - maybe times have changed due to inflation and I am not understanding the local culture. Not bashing the restaurant because I understand they are trying to make a living but I wonder if the tourists and it's success have caused some changes. I would prefer to go to a more local smaller place next time. Still, servers were nice enough and food prices were fair though so I can't complain overall, but the difference in treatment did leave a little of a sour taste in my mouth.

La comida es decepcionante. Pedimos albóndigas “caseras” en salsa, sin sabor en lo absoluto y su textura nada agradable. Parecen pienso para perritos. La salsa parecía agua espesada. De caseras nada. La ensaladilla rusa papa aguada con un dejo a atún. Las aceitunas directamente incomibles, amargas que te cagas. El lomo asado safaba un poco más pero pasado de sal. Los chocos dentro de todo normalitos, pero evidentemente congelados. En fin, nos habían recomendado mucho el lugar, esperamos 30 minutos para sentarnos (para la barra no hay colas) pero no volveremos. Ojalá mejoren la comida

The experience was disappointing from the start. There is no signage or poster outside explaining that customers must put their name on a waiting list. We waited for a long time in the queue, only to later realise that others had added their names while no one informed us of the process. No effort was made by staff to guide waiting customers, especially those who clearly did not speak Spanish. What was most upsetting was the change in attitude. Staff were very chatty and friendly with local Spanish speaking customers, but noticeably rude and dismissive with us when we tried to ask for clarification. This created a very unwelcoming atmosphere and felt discriminatory rather than just poor service. As for the food, the fresh tomatoes were the best part of the meal. The fried squid was below average, the chorizo was average at best, and we tried dogfish for the first time so cannot fairly judge it. Overall, between the lack of basic organisation, no communication for non Spanish speakers, and the unfriendly treatment, this place did not live up to its reputation. If you are not a local or do not speak Spanish, be prepared to feel unwelcome.
