The food is classic diner, coffee is endless, but the best part is the waitresses. They are so fun and nice and make the experience

Excellent waitstaff with personality. I got great help finding things on the menu for my very picky children. When I gave the waitress a little gruff for her pronunciation of a word, she gave it right back to me, with a smile. My kind of people! The food was good and well packaged with all the plates, napkins, ketchup and sauces, as well as everything to complete our meals on the road.

My friends and I were traveling through and we stopped and had lunch. It was one of the best lunches on a road trip that we’ve done in many many years. I highly recommend this stop for anyone who is hungry with a great atmosphere and great service.

My first visit to a genuine American Diner and boy it didn't disappoint. Great service and great food, a very warm welcome to boot. It even had an original Donkey Kong machine. Though on our visit it was temporarily out of action. Do visit and enjoy the Diner Burger! 6oz of epic burger patty.

Stopped in here during one of my motorcycle trips. It was one of the best stops I made. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic and the people were friendly. Only thing I would suggest is having cash on you before you go on. They don't accept cards.

Ate here once with my girlfriend while passing thru on our way home and had breakfast, one of the best breakfast I have had eggs Sunnyside up perfect and the toast was even great buttered perfectly. This is a real local.place kind of place everyone knows your not a local but the service was great and me and my girl both thought breakfast was really good

Best diner ever, run by the right people, friendly, home fries that are real home fries, not those bland flat, paprika laced and undercooked potatoes you get in most diners, and the portion was plentiful, and the diner itself was airey and cheerful, with beautiful slab wood tables, that don't rock, and the service was perfect, so in all of my 74 years I have to say this was the best diner I have ever been to. What a surprise, after having driven miles looking for a place to have breakfast, it was like an oasis of sorts.

This is a quaint Country Diner sitting in a little town called Prattsville. We got chicken breast sandwiches and we were surprised at just how tasty they were, and fairly healthy. The prices are low as one would expect and they have most of the diner staples you're looking for.

Stopped in traveling through NY and had some of the best breakfast around bacon, eggs, hash brows very fresh and the staff is awesome definitely recommend trying this place out!!

Decided to stop here while traveling because parking lot was full, always a good sigh of good food, and because we were hungry. Crowded so we sat at the counter, ordered Rubens and a drink from friendly waitress. Within a few minutes she came and got our drinks and moved them and us to a table behind us that had just been emptied and cleaned. Nice move, bigger tip, lol. If I lived close by I'm sure I would be there frequently as we were made to feel welcome and right at home. Did I say the Rubens and coleslaw and Mac salad were delicious? Yes they were and for $40. Including a very nice tip.

The staff was so kind and welcoming, they made our family trip all the better. Both waitresses were fun, helpful and friendly. The servings were large and they were very accommodating to a variety of preferences. The food was well priced and tasty.

It was January of 2018… four friends showed up to what is still considered the greatest diner we have ever been to. Nothing will ever top the authentic delicious breakfast we were served. Best biscuits and gravy!!! The mushroom swiss burger is on point!! The food was amazing and inexpensive. Service was a delight, staff was seen cleaning and being very friendly with guests. I can't wait to come back and have their sausage gravy on pancakes. Apparently, it's a patron fav!

Nice little diner in Prattsville, NY. Mostly locals as its a small town. I pass through occasionally. The Attentive staff made the best of a power outage while we were there. They managed to keep the customers happy with an abbreviated menu. No power and I still received a great breakfast. ...and they're the only (halfway decent) diner for miles around.

Absolutely excellent omelets and all fresh home made ingredients. The home fries and blueberry pancakes are delish!! Quick service. Reasonable prices. We eat here every time we visit NY. Best breakfast.

Was in the area hunting and needed a bite to eat. Friendly staff and great service. The French fries with brown gravy made a great addition to the meal also the best macaroni salad for miles!! If your in the area stop in grab a seat it will make you smile. Lots of friendly local folks as well

We found this little spot nestled in a corner of the Catskills on the way to a hike, and it was great. The decor is warm and homey, and the food was lightening fast and good as hell. Our server was super friendly; we'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

The food here is outstanding, and the service is even better. I was in town for three days, and came here every morning and always left with a smile on my face. The people of Prattsville are lucky to have this joint, and I’m lucky to have been able to experience that for a few days. I’ll be back!

Not only have we been trying the wonderful fresh, made to order menu items. Beth has been pouring her heart and love into family meals that we treat our crews with at TWO sites on Fridays. The food is always delicious and you can tell it is prepared with love. This has done more than just kept our crews bellies full , it has kept our crew's morale and energy upbeat and ensured that they all feel appreciated and valued while enjoying this treat. We stopped here on our way back from Cooperstown; good food, (one of the few places where the coleslaw is actually enjoyable!) generous portions, and wonderful atmosphere. The server was very pleasant. Diner was clean considering we arrived an hour before closing. I was impressed that even though closing time is 2pm none of the staff complained when diners came in 15 minutes prior. As an added plus there was plenty of room in the back lot to park our camper rig, and there's actually YooHoo in the cooler!

Food, service, and atmosphere are good. A few times when I went they were not too busy. But the last time I went, we had to wait a while for a seat. There might have been an event in town that day. I do you like eating there.

The food was pretty good. The burgers and breakfast food is tasty. No syrup for diabetics so do not order pancakes or French toast if you require sugar free. They are cash only.

Lovely little diner, friendly staff, meal was exactly what you expect from a small town diner. Our group had the eggs, home fries on rye, lasagne special, chicken tenders and broccoli chedder soup. Everyone was satisfied, left happy.

The burger was pretty small. No blogger than a Wendy’s burger. And about the same price. I doubt I will go there again.

Sorry.. in hindsight I’ve change this review at the end.. it just didn’t feel right. Prattsville diner seems to have changed hands since the last time I was there. It is still a fine restaurant.. in fact it is better managed. My only complaint would be the pricing is very high for the quality/quantity of food. Serving me a garbage breakfast bowl in a soup cup and slapping a piece of processed cheese on it for 13.99 will have me stopping at other area places. I would like to add i moved to the south were garbage plates are common in mom and pop diners. Lots of peppers, onions, potatoes, meats on a plate. eggs are an unneeded extra if you want. The prices run around $7-8 and its all you can do to finish it. This meal was.. somebody scoop their regular breakfast in a bowl and called it something different🤷‍♂️

Inexpensive country diner... Had breakfast... Waitstaff is friendly ( a little too friendly) ... problem is the food is at best average... The breakfast sandwich I had seemed half cooked and bland... My gf had a pancake that looked greasy and wafer thin... Not a good experience...also bring cash, they don't accept cards

It was clean, wait staff was nice. Food was horrid. They definitely need a new cook. Ordered two eggs over easy and they were so well done you couldn't eat them. Fries tasted like the oil hasn't been changed in 6 months or more. Will I go back? No.

I like to support local, small businesses. I wish I could recommend this diner. The atmosphere was as expected, the waitress was pleasant, but the food was not up to par. Special cheese burger 8 oz, bun, burgher, bun fries, no lettuce ,tomato or onion. $15.50. Chicken noodle soup tasted like Lipton with some chicken added. Not classic small town food. Expensive, minimal. I wish them luck. Any new fresh competition might do them in. Pastries and pies may be worth a try looked good, maybe I will try coffee and pie one day next season.

The waitress was very rude and condescending to every question I had about the food. And then what was perhaps the owner came out, she sarcastically asked a question to him that I had, and he gave a smart remark back, it was just really appalling. I ordered a sandwich that was on bread like white wonderbread. And I substituted the chips for fries and paid the full price of 2.75 and it was maybe a handful, a very small amount. So overall, very rude people working there, sad sandwiches, and portion sizes that arent matching up with the price. To top it off, they are cash only. As a local, I will never be back.

The place has really gone in the toilet since Kenny retired. Today was my last day there, been eating there for over 40 years. They are only open a half of a day, service sucks, I mean really sucks, came in 2 weeks ago on a Saturday at 12:45……. They are open until 2, watched the cook having a melt down, slamming dishes around. I’ve had enough, will be going to the Horse Shoe Cafe from now on.

Just left left after sitting for 10 minutes and 2 cups of coffee they took the menus away but somehow forgot to take the order. They were not that busy only 2 other tables with people. Tables were sticky had to ask for sugar. We were there a couple of weeks ago. Portions were very small service was a little better at that visit. Definitely not the same diner It was a couple of years ago. Unfortunately we will not be going back.

We love visiting little diners and enjoy diner food... Prattsville Diner will not be on our "re-visit" list. The food was barely edible. The eggs were fine and done to order, but the cottage fries were both burned and raw. How that was managed is anyone's guess?!?! Even worse than that, they were "gritty"..... Not a pleasant experience! I would not recommend the Prattsville Diner.

Been here a few years ago, Sunday afternoon, it was packed with people, I remember we enjoyed the place. This Sunday it was a different experience, the cheeseburger with fries was absolutely horrible. It's there on the menu: french fries. not the overfried potato chips that I got! "under new management" banner probably explains that... and prices... manhattan prices away from manhattan!
