Simply beautiful dinning experience. When we walked into the inn, we were immediately greeted and seated. We got to sit next to a cozy fireplace. The decors and vibes in the restaurant are perfection. The food was delicious. From appetizers to desserts, everything was seasoned perfectly. Portion sizes are well worth the price tags. The servers are also really nice and accommodating. We will definitely come back again :)

We were treated to a fully catered Thanksgiving dinner from Michael and his staff, and it was incredibly prepared! I highly recommend the Hamiton Inn and Michae's Restaurant for any occasion, truly a top notch experience.

The Hamilton Inn and its employees were so accommodating, helpful, and supportive. We had a four night stay in January relayed to a family funeral, and they could not have been more sympathetic. This is a gem of a place to stay in a geographic area with few options. The service is remarkable, and the rooms cozy.

Awesome dinner after our great niece's graduation. We were there late but everyone was great. No one made us feel like we had to hurry. Food was spectacular!!! Chris our server was awesome!

The food was excellent I had the special which was salmon with a spacey risotto. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The risotto was the best I have ever had. The chef stopped by our table to check on us. A really warm and friendly place.

Fantastic little up scale dining in central New York! This hidden gem is a must for those who love restaurants that use local ingredients and change their menu constantly. Reservations are encouraged even for an early dinner at this is a popular spot with the locals, as well as those visiting the local colleges. They also cater to those with special diet providing many options both vegan and vegetarian! Delicious, well priced, and fantastic service!

We spent two nights at the Hamilton Inn. It was a home away from home. The general manager, Will, is terrific. He is there morning, noon, and night making sure you are taken care of whether for your accommodations or your dinner reservation. The owners are lovely as we met them at the weekly Saturday farmer's market in Hamilton. It truly seems like a close knit community where everyone knows everyone with a lot of "bumping into". The inn has 5 rooms that are beautifully appointed. You feel like you're staying at grandma's house with some modern touches as the bathrooms are remodeled in a farmhouse/modern look. To be expected, the walls are thin but you are staying in a former residence, not a corporate hotel. Dinner was very delicious with homemade comfort food soup and probably the most soft rolls I've ever had that come from a local bakery in Hamilton Village. Their menu seems to change by season as items on the menu were more cold weather type of meals. The wine list was good and the prices were reasonable. We were seated next to a roaring fireplace in the center for the dining area which made it extra cozy. In there morning, there is a continental breakfast of fruit, yogurt parfaits, and specialty breads. The owner brings over fresh homemade blueberry muffins which have probably won a prize somewhere. The sausage bread is unique and delicious if you don't mind meat. Like being at grandma's, you're served coffee in cute little teacups that is brewed just to the right strength, or can have an assortment of juices. Even though the fare was continental, I was surprised how filling it was. If ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again for the comfort, quality, and attention you receive whether you're dining, lodging, or both.

Welcoming, tasteful and cozy setting, with creative menu (for all palates), professional yet unfussy servers, and a relaxed feel. (The scallops are fantastic and the filet is done to perfection.) Wonderful cocktails (and a bartender always up for a bespoke challenge!) Our family's and friends' favorite Hamilton restaurant.

We had to reschedule many times because our flight was cancled and because of the long drive from the airport and Will was extreamly accommodating. We were not expecting a free breakfast, but they also offer one as well.

My family and I stayed there and had a wonderful time! The hotel is very cozy and was decorated so festive for Christmas. The food at the Inn was delicious, especially the beet salad! The service was amazing, very responsive and helpful! It’s walkable to everything in town. We will be coming back for sure! Thank you for a wonderful stay. The puzzle table in the lobby is a nice addition, something fun to while waiting in lobby.

The last 2 night's we've ordered carry-out and they did not disappoint. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer both night's and they were honestly the most incredible dish we've ever had & we pray they stay on the menu.

Had dinner on the front porch which was shaded by several large trees on a hot day. My husband and I had the clams casino and calamari for starters. We shared the pork chop and house salad for our main meal. Plenty for both of us and delicious! Then we shared the flourless chocolate cake which was like a slice of rich chocolate fudge sitting on a bed of this amazing raspberry sauce. It does take a bit longer to get your food but that's because its made fresh as its ordered and we were aware of that by our server Heather, who did a great job serving us. It was a beautiful evening, great atmosphere and delicious food. Loved spending my birthday dinner there!

drinks took 25 minutes to be served on a busy nite...calamari and steak with shrimp were good...stuffed flounder was terrible...onion soup was very salty...brussel sprout hash was tasty but heavy

You have one job. Focus on the food. When someone orders a burger medium rare, under no circumstances it come out well done. Why ask people how they like their meat when all you can do is well done.

Service and setting was great. Vegan food options limited. Black bean burger dry. Spring rolls were good. Gazpacho was good. Quinoa salad was just okay.

This had been a favorite and perhaps this was an off night but the food was heavy, salty and greasy. The mushroom ravioli was served in a thick, oily cheddar cheese sauce which was almost inedible. (Not what was described on the menu). The calamari was served on top of mashed avocado that was way past its prime, an odd choice of garnish but if you're going to experiment at least use fresh ingredients.

Not that he probably wouldn't have been attentive, but it appeared as though there were only two or three servers for a very large2 dining rooms and bar room. when we got our dinners my $36 skirt steak was well done when I asked for medium rare to rare and there was no chimichurri sauce on top of it, couldn't help myself. I had to say something. I couldn't see paying that much and not having it done right. quite frankly, it was literally four 1/4-in slices of skirt steak for $36, three potatoes and a dollop, I'll go with a quarter cup of arugula salad on the side. The cauliflower steak he was flavorful but very ..el Dante almost raw. we had been there twice before and it was outstanding. it's been a few years. We went there to bring my mother and her husband for her birthday dinner before she goes back home. quite frankly, under impressed. In making the reservation they asked if there was a special occasion and we had said that it was her birthday and outside of us making mention of it there was no acknowledgment. For a $250 dinner for four ,not including the tip I would say I wouldn't go back.

Start to finish not so good. completely inconsistent 3 of us had the 21 day aged steak and 2 of those were surprisingly awful. The parking was risky at best no pattern and over crowded, then we we're faced with two undecorated back entrances to an old house... I've got to stop, their new and so I will give them another chance if I can convince my wife too do the same.

We waited two hours for our first morsel of food. This is not hyperbole. My friend was served soup with no spoon. The server promised to come right back with one and disappeared. Three times, I had to get up and hunt down the manager for basic things. Dessert was disgusting and our server agreed that it was an awful dish (margarita sorbet with giant chunks of salt). We barely touched it, but we paid for it. We received no apologies and no effort was made to make up for this display of incompetence. I gave two stars instead of one because there was good music and lots of local people that I like were there.

Drove there from Verona yesterday for dinner based on reviews. Sat down at the bar for drink and was totally ignored until i left. How hard is it to give a hello to acknowledge that you have a customer?

Not sure where exactly where to start, except to say that this was one of the worst dining experiences I can recall. It was a Saturday night at 7pm and clearly the staff and kitchen were overwhelmed. (The inside dining room was mostly empty, however.) After being seated, our server eventually came over to “take care of us.” After we asked for a few minutes to figure out drinks (with no drink menu provided), he disappeared for about 30 minutes. We asked the host to have him stop by and take our order. When he came by he apologized for the delay and took our drink and dinner order. When the drinks were finally delivered nearly an hour after we sat down, we were told that they ran out of skirt steak (which 2 of us had ordered) along with 2 other entrees. So one of us went with a burger, another with a ribeye, both medium rare. To make a long story short, the food was terrible. We ordered 2 heirloom tomato and peach salads. What arrived were 2 plates full of arugula with a few scattered bland cherry tomatoes and four or five thin slices of a hard tasteless peach. This was followed by a burger that was burned to hockey puck status and a quarter inch thick bland steak(?) buried under goop. There were other issues, as well. We informed the server that a Coke that was served was flat. So they brought another flat drink to replace it. The salads were comped for the ridiculous delays, but truthfully, having to pay anything for this experience was insulting.

It began with us being seated and then left alone for thirty minutes. I had to get up and find the host to let her know no one had come to our table to take a drink order. The waiter came eventually and was apologetic. He took our drink order and let us know that already (at 7p.m.) they were out of three of the specials. No drinks arrived until 50 minutes after we arrived at the restaurant. He took our food order (two heirloom tomato and peach salads, lamb chops; two skirt steaks) and went away for another twenty minutes, only to return to notify us that they were actually also out of skirt steak. My husband opted for the rib eye and I chose the burger (no cheese) on the theory that it was hard to screw up a burger. The salads were piles of arugula with blue cheese. There were no heirloom tomatoes, just a couple of grocery store grape tomatoes and two slices of hard-as-a-rock peaches. It was awful, but not to be outdone by the entrees. The lamb chops our daughter ordered were actually not bad. But the medium rare burger I ordered was cooked to oblivion—a hockey puck. I asked how long it would take to get a new one if I sent it back. Before I got an answer, the waiter brought out a plate with another burger, slathered with what looked like cheez whiz (I’d ordered mine with out cheese). I accepted it and just scraped off the cheese. But it, too, was an inedible, charred puck. Meanwhile, my husband’s steak was not overcooked, but it was most certainly not a ribeye; they clearly had subbed it for a cheaper cut of steak (but charged us $40 for the ribeye nonetheless). It was flavorless, except for a distinct taste of gas. The restaurant was a total disaster. My guess is that they are in financial straits and have cut so many corners that they cannot function even as a pub, let alone a fine dining establishment. But the food was terrible, and service was atrocious. I would never go back.

Made a reservation 10 days before hand at 6pm on our Anniversary to see the entire place booked out to a wedding. When we eventually got a manager to ask what happened to our reservation there was more concern about who we talked to then the actual mix up. Zero attempt to make anything right by us. It was going to be our first time there. Definitely will not be trying again.

He took our food order (two heirloom tomato and peach salads, lamb chops; two skirt steaks) and went away for another twenty minutes, only to return to notify us that they were actually also out of skirt steak. My husband opted for the rib eye and I chose the burger (no cheese) on the theory that it was hard to screw up a burger. The salads were piles of arugula with blue cheese. There were no heirloom tomatoes, just a couple of grocery store grape tomatoes and two slices of hard-as-a-rock peaches. It was awful, but not to be outdone by the entrees. The lamb chops our daughter ordered were actually not bad. But the medium rare burger I ordered was cooked to oblivion—a hockey puck. I asked how long it would take to get a new one if I sent it back. Before I got an answer, the waiter brought out a plate with another burger, slathered with what looked like cheez whiz (I’d ordered mine with out cheese). I accepted it and just scraped off the cheese. But it, too, was an inedible, charred puck. Meanwhile, my husband’s steak was not overcooked, but it was most certainly not a ribeye; they clearly had subbed it for a cheaper cut of steak (but charged us $40 for the ribeye nonetheless). It was flavorless, except for a distinct taste of gas. The restaurant was a total disaster. My guess is that they are in financial straits and have cut so many corners that they cannot function even as a pub, let alone a fine dining establishment. But the food was terrible, and service was atrocious. I would never go back.

Not sure where exactly where to start, except to say that this was one of the worst dining experiences I can recall. It was a Saturday night at 7pm and clearly the staff and kitchen were overwhelmed. (The inside dining room was mostly empty, however.) After being seated, our server eventually came over to “take care of us.” After we asked for a few minutes to figure out drinks (with no drink menu provided), he disappeared for about 30 minutes. We asked the host to have him stop by and take our order. When he came by he apologized for the delay and took our drink and dinner order. When the drinks were finally delivered nearly an hour after we sat down, we were told that they ran out of skirt steak (which 2 of us had ordered) along with 2 other entrees. So one of us went with a burger, another with a ribeye, both medium rare. To make a long story short, the food was terrible. We ordered 2 heirloom tomato and peach salads. What arrived were 2 plates full of arugula with a few scattered bland cherry tomatoes and four or five thin slices of a hard tasteless peach. This was followed by a burger that was burned to hockey puck status and a quarter inch thick bland steak(?) buried under goop. There were other issues, as well. We informed the server that a Coke that was served was flat. So they brought another flat drink to replace it. The salads were comped for the ridiculous delays, but truthfully, having to pay anything for this experience was insulting.

Made a reservation 10 days before hand at 6pm on our Anniversary to see the entire place booked out to a wedding. When we eventually got a manager to ask what happened to our reservation there was more concern about who we talked to then the actual mix up. Zero attempt to make anything right by us. It was going to be our first time there. Definitely will not be trying again.
