I had not been happy with the food recently but heard the ownership had changed and gave it a try. Ordered two sandwiches with sides. Food was excellent. Service by Cheffon, Maria and Keke was EXCELLENT. I will go back.

I went to Uncle Dan's and I could hav3 been happier with the pulled pork and brisket I received. It was seasoned great and melted in my mouth. The service was superb and the staff was down right friendly as could be! I'll be back!!

me and my family come often and never disappoints tonight specifically with amazing service, and catered to every need even when my toddler was tricky and needed extra attention. cheffon and chloie are great and always smiling, feels super hospitable.

I visited the Hewitt location on November 6th. I placed my order in the drive thru and the lady that took my order made me feel so special. I went to the window, picked up my food and the overall customer service atmosphere knocked me off my feet. Incredible experience. I saw a change in that location in just one visit… I called them back and found out the new Manager is Tiata. Please go by and meet her and her team. You will be glad you did and the food was great as well. Thank you for making my day!

I made the mistake of going to Terry Blacks. Never Again. Uncle Dan's BBQ in Hewitt and Woodway ís The BOMB 💣💥!!! They take care of you there ❤️. Don't go to Terry Blacks. It is not worth it at all. They are TOO HIGH!!!

I'm picky about BBQ, especially brisket. The brisket here is not top-shelf, but it's better than many of the other places I've been to in Waco. I believe they have premium brisket on Fridays and Saturdays until they run out. I've never actually tried it, so I can't comment on it. The Slovacek pepperjack sausage is great. There are two different types of chicken. Sadly I can never remember what they're called, but one of them is excellent. It's a nice quiet place to eat lunch. The old staff were great, but some of them have recently retired. The new staff is excellent. They are friendly, energetic, and seem genuinely happy to serve. I eat lunch here with friends about once a month. The price is right, the food is good, and the staff are friendly. I couldn't ask for much else.

Basic smoked BBQ. Got brisket, ribs, jalapeno sausage with ranch style beans and potato salad. Brisket, they smoke the brisket all the way without wrapping so you get that deep hard, crusty bark. My brisket was tender but dry. Ribs were tough, dry and the bark was almost impossible to get thru on one. Jalapeno sausage was great and flavorful. I had to dip everything in their spicy BBQ sauce to eat it, but the sauce was absolutely delicious. Ranch style beans tasted like Black Label straight from the can White potato salad was ok but was heavy on the dill. The flavor was very good on all the food but it was overcooked to the point that there was no more juice in the meats. Will try again later and will update if better.

Basic smoked BBQ. Got brisket, ribs, jalapeno sausage with ranch style beans and potato salad. Brisket, they smoke the brisket all the way without wrapping so you get that deep hard, crusty bark. My brisket was tender but dry. Ribs were tough, dry and the bark was almost impossible to get thru on one. Jalapeno sausage was great and flavorful. I had to dip everything in their spicy BBQ sauce to eat it, but the sauce was absolutely delicious. Ranch style beans tasted like Black Label straight from the can White potato salad was ok but was heavy on the dill. The flavor was very good on all the food but it was overcooked to the point that there was no more juice in the meats. Will try again later and will update if better.

It was okay. Sausage and sides were good. Brisket was mushy and had no flavor. Reminded me of roast. And this plate was over $20.

Customer service definitely needs work. Went in because if dissatisfaction of quantity of the dessert, the price and the taste. Rather than apologies I got run arounds and it would take days to refund me. I finally said don't worry about it. Never had to go through all that for dissatisfaction. Definitely wouldn't recommend bite size desserts that cost $4.

Bbq was passable, but high cost for what you get. Beans were ok. But oh my goodness the banana pudding! 4.00 for a teeny tiny cup that tasted like vanilla mashed potatoes mixed with lard. Just forget them.

had not been to Uncle Dan's in quite some time. Decided to grab some coleslaw, potato salad and brisket as take out. Ordered and was first shocked to learn I spent $39 for 1/2 lb brisket, a quart of white potato salad ($13) and pint of coleslaw. The prices are outrages for the portions you get. I asked specifically if there was bbq sauce in my bag and she said yes. Alas, I got home and no sauce. With other choices of BBQ in Waco, I'll chose Terry's as the quality is better for the price. Sad BBQ , got ribs and they smelled sour, got sliced brisket and its fat all the way, paid $66 for this , should have looked at the reviews , I almost went to Rudys , but I saw this place and there were cars outside. My dinner treat is just a vacant pile of crap.

If I could give this Uncle Dan's, zero stars, I would. I ordered $24 worth of food and I should have had a feast. But on the contrary, the portions of the meat were small. I tasted the chicken and it was so tough to chew. See the photo. Honestly, I should have just cooked my own food and not bothered to give my money to a place that jips their customers on the size of the portions. I didn't get any plasticware with my meal and that should be included for the amount I paid. If you risk the chance to go to this restaurant, and you use the drive through, make sure to ask for plasticware, a straw for your drink and sauces to drown out the tough chicken they will serve you. Shaking my head at this place. The food was straight awful. Spend your money elsewhere.

Ordered brisket, was the worst I've ever had, it's disappointing because I've visited in the past and had a similar experience so I offered a second chance to prove me wrong but no same experience. The brisket tastes like it was boiled, no flavor.. the fat wasn't even rendered and no bark.. The lady at the counter was nice though.. Waste of money once again.

Highly disappointed with my visit here today. We came at 7:30 meaning the restaurant was still open for 30 minutes however was served as if the place was already closed. If that’s the case the closing time needs to be adjusted if it’s an issue for customers to come We paid over $40 for 2 plates and hardly received any meat and what was served to us was extremely crunchy and dry. We also only got a small ramekin of bbq sauce to eat with the dry meat. We requested all the fixings and didn’t receive that either. As a former bbq restaurant manger this is shocking and unacceptable Never again

$70 for lunch for three. Rude service! Not a single hospitable word. And flat out rudeness when I asked for the order to go. The young lady told me she was having a bad day. I informed her that was not my fault but it made no difference. And thank you for giving me nothing but the fattiest cuts of meat. An absolute waste of time and money.
