Fantastic Sunday lunch. Varied menu. Very friendly and efficient staff. What more could you want from a fabulous Hampshire dining experience. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I now have a new favourite pub. Staff is friendly and professional, food is great and the atmosphere very cosy.

A lovely gastro pub, that makes excellent use of the village green to provide extensive outdoor seating. Came for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed some tasty calamari followed by well executed pork belly. This was all washed down by a good selection of beer, which include hogs back TEA.

Very nice and cozy pub, great food also!

Never had a bad meal here. Food always outstanding and portions are generous. Always best to ring ahead and book a table as they get very busy.

Fantastic customer service! Rang at 12pm booking table for 1pm and preordered food as we didn’t have long . Table and food ready for us exactly on time and meals were big portions and tasty . Lovely friendly staff too who couldn’t do enough for you . Well done everyone !! And thank you again

We had an excellent Sunday roast and chocolate fudge cake dessert. It was absolutely delicious. We were warmly welcomed by Fabio who had remembered my request to sit near the fire. It was warm and cosy. Fabio and all the staff especially our server Arabella were friendly and super efficient. The Queen’s Head Dogmersfield was recommended to me and I have no hesitation recommending it too. Wonderful experience- thank you all !!

We had Filet Steak and Fish and Chips. Both were excellent. The Steak was one of the best during our holiday in England. The staff was friendly. Had a great time. Thank you 5 Stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had the beef burger and it was perfection – juicy, flavour-packed, and beautifully put together. Finished with the sticky toffee pudding, which was rich, indulgent, and absolutely unforgettable. Friendly service and a great vibe. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely love this pub, we had Sunday Lunch there last week. It was the first time my mum had agreed to come out since my dad died, and this fabulous place surpassed all our hoped and expectations. The food was just gorgeous, the staff were lovely and the ambiance was fantastic. Will definitely be back!!

This is a cozy pub with some of the friendliest staff I have met at a Pub in a long time. We went back twice in 24 hours and everyone was lovely, the food was tasty, and even though it was busy you still felt you were in your own cozy space.

From the first smell of gorgeous food when walking in, to the roast on my plate, this little gem is fantastic. Great staff and a cozy place. Not cheap but where is these days? Good quality food and dessert portions were very good.

What a lovely country pub in a great village. Pav and his teams made us so welcome and the menu was great. We had the salmon/ prawn risotto and the linguine. Fabulous. We returned on Sunday and had a full roast lunch. Superb pub / restaurant with great food and superb service. What’s not to like.

We just had a family lunch, nine of us in all including kids. It was busier than expected for noon on a grey Tuesday. The food was delicious, friendly service, and a good choice of beers too. Everyone had a great time. Thank you Queen's Head.

Our dinner and visit was a highlight of our visit here. The food was delicious but the service and welcoming atmosphere was exceptional. Ted and Edmond are terrific!

10/10. Sea bass followed by apple crumble and custard. Cider and IPA to drink. Could not be improved upon.

We had a fabulous lunch at The Queen’s Head again! Friendly staff and a great menu. There was a good value set lunch menu or choice of à la carte. Also, one of us had a dairy free dietary requirement and the fact that everything is freshly prepared meant that a large number of dishes could be tailored to meet this was fantastic! 5 star plus, and can’t recommend highly enough. 👏

A Fantastic place. Gorgeous food and such friendly staff. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone! The specials are always delicious however the menu itself is full of brilliant British dishes. Got a big outdoor area for an outside drink where you can come with your dog. They do some nice events too with bands and things.

Came here for my family Christmas get together meal , and I have to say that is the best roast we have all had! The quality of the food was amazing and amazing service! We will definitely be returning! Merry Christmas!

Bitterly disappointed with The Queens head as we are used to drab furnishings, surly staff,overpriced menus and bland,lukewarm food,this place failed on all counts,excellent friendly welcome, great service and excellent freshly cooked,well presented food,the atmosphere and ambience in this full of character 17thth century Inn was spot on.Roaring log fire just added to a fantastic visit,highly recommended.

Fantastic Sunday roast last suday28th. Really well presented and home made yorkshire pudding. Plenty of meat and really lovely vegetables. Couldn't fault it. The cheese platter was really large and plenty very good price.

Did a last minute booking on a Sunday, welcomed with a smile and shown to table. The Sunday roasts were really good and the kids enjoyed their meals. First time here but certainly won't be the last

My family have travelled from Kent & the Cotswolds every Christmas for the past 8 years to enjoy a get together at this beautiful olde worlde pub with it's warm & welcoming owner & staff and delicious food. We are looking forward to next Christmas already!!

Food was good, although the chicken wing portion is very stingy for the price, mains were nice, good portion size. Friend had bruschetta, which it wasn't.. cherry tomatoes cut in half with basalmic vinegar on ciabatta bread.. My main gripe was the service, it took 20 mins to take our starter order (pub was virtually empty) received them nearly an hour after sitting at the table.. The young ladies serving were polite and friendly.. easily fixed, to make a better experience for next time.

Food was good, but took a while to arrive. We enjoyed the breaded Brie, and halloumi on salad for starters, followed by a steak Diane and duck breast for mains. Staff were friendly, but often we were both left with empty glasses and in need of another round. The steak Diane dish seems a popular choice, though my rare steak was more medium-rare, but nevertheless I enjoyed it, plus the creamy mushroom sauce, chips, and salad that came with it. The most annoying part was how dark the pub was. We’d been sat in a dimly lit room at the end of the bar, and there just wasn’t enough lighting at all. It was also frustrating when I went to wash my hands that they were rationing soap out in minuscule amounts from an automated soap dispenser like it’s 2019. Overall however a very good meal in a pretty area, and good value (about £85 for two courses for the two of us, and various drinks).

Stopped here purely at random after our second disappointment at a local farm shop, and had a delightful lunch. The service, from the new trainee to all the other staff was really friendly and attentive. The food, although we only had a main meal, was good and the bar well stocked.

I had a good meal with a traditional prwn cocktail and avocado starter and a halibut fillet sitting on a home made mash potato with asparagus. The criticism would be the small quantity of fish for a 25.95GBP dish.

The service was efficient and attentive but slightly on the cold side. The staff members were friendly and smiling with each other, maybe share this with customers? I had fish and chips from the lunch menu, nicely presented and well cooked. Dessert and coffee were adequate. Not very many customers for a Friday and a quiet, awkward atmosphere which was not improved by piped muzak. Overall experience was satisfactory but unremarkable. Reminded me of an English seaside town - out of season, on a wet Monday.

Not what I remember it being unfortunately, a pleasant enough little local on a small green, food was hot and fresh but had better roasts in other places. The fish and chips were ok. No table service in the garden and no dogs inside. Not the most child friendly of gardens, right on the road and only a small chain link fence. Service was friendly enough.

Was a little disappointed with the food, ordered fries and got normal chips,the fish was on the small size and expensive for what I got. My colleague ordered prawn linguine and was surprised at the size thought it was a small portion but found out it was a large! The staff where extremely helpful and courteous though,overall thought it rather expensive for what we got!

We visited for Sunday lunch with high hopes given the local reputation but the food was a significant letdown. The roast potatoes had the distinct texture of being old and reheated as they were dry and tough rather than crisp and fresh. The rest of the plate did not fare much better as the meat quality was poor and both the Yorkshire pudding and gravy lacked flavour. It felt like corners were being cut in the kitchen rather than a freshly cooked meal. This was a very disappointing experience and certainly not the standard we expected.

Christmas party main food did not meet expectations. After a very long wait for the main course, food was cold including the gravy. Surprised the chef let the food leave the kitchen in that state. Utterly disappointed with the main Christmas turkey dinner. Starters and puddings ok. Staff friendly and very helpful in meeting our requests. This is the only reason I have given 3 stars overall. Will not go back .
