First time coming to Hungry's. Came with my besties. Do make a reservation and they also have valet and self parking if you find a spot. Cash tip or apps. Be courteous! The food was great. I ordered the Traditional Breakfast. The drinks delish. Waitress was very nice. Atmosphere is very chill even tho it can get loud.
Hungry’s has become one of my regular go-to places. The restaurant offers great options and everything is delicious. The baked goat cheese appetizer is definitely my favorite starter. Every plate I have tried (Gyros Plate, Baja Chicken Wrap, Beef Tenderloin Steak Sandwich, Honey Ginger Salmon, etc) have all been great tasting. The drinks are good, not the strongest, but reasonably priced (especially during happy hour).
Excellent spot for lunch and dinner. Expansive menu with Mediterranean feel. I loved the gyros platter. Great wine selection and cocktails.
Can’t say enough about this place! Great atmosphere, good service, and a good happy hour. You have to try the Brussel sprouts pizza and the beef fajita salad! Everything I’ve had here is yummy and I will keep coming back for those items specifically because I love them that much. Sitting upstairs in the bar/patio area is perfect for first dates and getting together with friends. Parking does suck but “free” valet is available.
My coworkers and I frequent this place often. The restaurant and the food is always super clean and service is friendly. Haven’t had a dish, dessert, or drink that I haven’t liked but my favorite is the Tuna Poke Bowl. Their happy hour is reasonably priced and is held in their upstairs bar area which is really nice. Parking can be tight but they offer complimentary valet.
Vibe- Very nice restaurant in Rice Village. They have PLENTY of inside and outside seating. They even have a bar area too. They have happy hour from 3-6pm and they offer quite a variety of cocktails and bites to eat on that menu. Customer service- The only people that I didn’t like were the host that were the first people I encountered. There vibe was not good and it almost made me feel unwanted :( the only reason I didn’t go with 4 stars because of their rudeness (what it felt like to me) is because my server was awesome! Food/drinks- I got a spicy pineapple margarita from the happy hour menu and the fusion (grateful)bowl with crispy tofu. The drink was alright I probably would order something else on my next visit. The food was so good! Parking- There’s a lot with plenty of spots, you can either self park or valet.
Hungry's on Rice Blvd in Houston is a true gem! Recently, Tykes Need Bikes had the pleasure of being invited to discuss ways to positively impact the community at this wonderful establishment, and we were absolutely delighted by the experience. The food at Hungry's was exceptional, with a diverse menu offering something for everyone. Each dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quality and care put into the food were evident in every bite. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Their genuine hospitality made our meeting even more enjoyable and productive. Hungry's provided the perfect setting for our discussions on community impact. The inviting atmosphere and excellent service created an ideal environment for meaningful conversation and collaboration. We highly recommend Hungry's to anyone looking for a great meal and outstanding service in Houston. Thank you, Hungry's, for supporting community initiatives and offering such a wonderful dining experience!
So great! The service was remarkable! From being seated to desert, everything was on par with top restaurants. I accidently dropped my mimosa and it was like a NASCAR pit crew that came out and cleaned up and provided me with another. The food was cooked to perfection and there is such a variety to choose from. I highly recommend Hungry's and the prime rib. One of the best prime ribs I've had and they aren't even a steak place!
Thank You for addressing my issue with my company. The company confirmed it! It was a miswriting and your restaurant addressed my issue. I really appreciate it. I apologize for my confusion. I experienced bad service here but your company made it much better. 5 stars
Hungry’s is one of my little get away in West University right on the corner of Rice & Greenbriar. The environment and the culture of entries says it all, the kebabs, Beets hummus, and crab cakes were Absolutely Devine, the atmosphere is so nice we normal sit on the patio, the staff of waitresses and waiters are excellent in serving, and the friendliness is just lovely to me. Great place to dine. If your in the area definitely a must to check out.
Very good! We were a party of 9 for a friend's birthday. Had zero complaints! I had the gyro wrap with the wedge salad and a few cocktails. Everything was delicious! Plenty of food. We were grateful for the last-minute reservation for so many. I know Hungry's more for their brunch, but their dinner was also great. Worth a try for sure!
Hungry's is a great place for casual outdoor or indoor dining, drinks with friends, or just catching the game. Our dinner choices were hamburgers with fries and tacos with Cuban beans. Both were delicious. Our waiter was attentive and kept our drinks topped off. It was nice to sit out on the top deck. We'll done, Hungry's.
My first time here. I really enjoyed it. The service was amazing. The server we had was really friendly and attentive to us. Ordered a strawberry lemonade and was really good. Got a Margherita pizza with fries. Very delicious!! Will definitely be coming back and recommend to friends and family!
Yo, foodie friends! Let me spill the tea on the brunch I had at Hungry’s. It was all kinds of awesome, and if you’re all about treating your taste buds, you gotta check it out. So, we went big and ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast platter, and let me tell you, it didn’t just meet expectations; it did a full-on, epic mic drop! The chicken fried chicken was like the rockstar of the plate—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and rocking that country gravy like a boss. Every bite was like a high-five to my mouth. And it didn’t ride solo; it brought along some dope sidekicks. The eggs were on point, and the toast was the perfect crunchy buddy to soak up all that yummy goodness. The vibe at Hungry’s was super chill, making it the perfect spot to kick back and dig into some serious brunch action. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the service was as sweet as the syrup on the pancakes. So, if you’re looking to up your brunch game and want to dive into a plate of comfort food heaven, hit up Hungry’s. That chicken fried steak platter is legit a game-changer! 🍳🥩🤘
Hungry never fails to impress me with its homey ambiance and selection of tasty food. The wait staff are always friendly and attentive, Which adds to the experience. We started out with the hummus sampler appetizer which was fantastic and flavor packed. The tomato bisque was tasty as well. I went with the Gyro plate which included plenty of meat and fries. The pita bread Was warm and tasty And went well with the perfectly seasoned meat. I also had the chance to Taste the burger and pepperoni pizza as well. Those were delicious seasoned.
The Hungary’s in Rice Village worked with me to accommodate 40 high school juniors and seniors and about a dozen chaperones. The event manager, Karah, worked with us to craft a select menu for the event and the staff (Christian, Gustavo, and Edwin) provided an exceptional experience for us!
Great experience. On the weekend and during happy hour try your best to get there early. It gets packed quick, but the service and quality of food is good. They have complementary valet and you can tip the valet personnel. The food is awesome! This time I went I had the chicken and eggs. It’s not your typical fried chicken batter, nevertheless, it was great and not greasy! The mimosa carafe’s are good as well. Definitely worth the visit.
Excellent restaurant with a awesome outdoor patio. Try the michelada if you like a spicy drink. I've been a few times and have had a chance to try the gyros plate and the tenderloin tacos, both were terrific. Cant wait to go back, especially on a nice day when I can enjoy the patio again.
I really enjoyed my lunch here. They have many vegetarian and vegan options. I had the Fabulous // Tuscan Tofu. The sauce is delicious and goes really well with the rice. My husband ordered the Southern Chicken-Fried Chicken and it was pretty good as well. The service was excellent and fast.
Great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and all the above. The staff is amazing and the food is fresh and delicious. The fried food is not greasy. This is a trendy place to dine in sole, couple, group, and certainly with kids. I’ll be coming back. As a vegan I’ll also mention they have vegan friendly options. ❤️
One of the best "freshest" restaurants in the city. The selection on their menu is amazing. They have some of the freshest vegetables in town and you can definitely tell that all meals are made to order using the freshest ingredients. What I love about this place is it can be considered casual dining and be appropriate to celebrate a special occasion. Their cocktail menu is very good. My personal favorite is the cucumber martini. This fabulous drink has a Ketel One Cucumber Mint Vodka base, a fresh Cucumber slice, freshly squeezed Lime, a touch Liquid Alchemist Ginger, and for added spice a Tajin Rim. This is my go to drink in the hot summer months and well for that matter the hot fall. It is very refreshing but be warned you cannot taste the alcohol so it does sneak up on you if you're not careful. They've recently added a new dish mahi-mahi, served on top of creamy potatoes with a side of the freshest green beans you will ever taste. They have an excellent selection of soups, burgers, sandwiches, and other signature dishes. This place has been around for 45 years and once again is the "freshest" restaurants in the city. I continuously use the word fresh in my review because this is what everything tastes like. Fresh. They also have a very good vegan section with plenty of selections, which if I was vegan would definitely come here due to the freshness of their vegetables. I highly recommend this restaurant for every day dining all the way to special occasion dining. They have a beautiful sunroom where you can eat. They have their normal dining room on the first floor, and a very cool bar and lounge on the second floor. Such a great place with great food.
We attended for an event and as a first timer I was blown away by the food and atmosphere. The open patio was cozy, yet it felt secluded from the restaurant. The buffet included a juicy chicken and teriyaki salmon, both of which melted in your mouth. I rated the service lower because there was a large gap of time where the food trays were empty and the staff took a long time to refill.
First timer. Not a last timer! Thoroughly enjoyed this place. Great patio seating. Food was sensational. Vegan? Vegetarian? Still love a good chicken fried chicken? This is the place for you. I didn’t have an appetizer, but I DID order The Nutritious Bowl for my meal. Absolutely amazing. Washed it all down with a refreshing raspberry lemonade. Hubby had the mint tea and chicken fried chicken. I seriously enjoyed being here.
We ate upstairs on the second floor of the Rice Village Hungry's to enjoy the great view on the balcony. Due to the time of day, we lucked into the weekday Happy Hour (3-6 PM). So our excellent Basil Gimlet and draft beers came with a good discount! Hungry's Happy Hour also came with a special menu. And everything on it looked good, but we skipped it (and the associated discounts) to order two of our favorite dishes off the main menu: ●Honey Ginger Salmon $24 (officially... Basmati lentil rice, seasonal vegetables, garlic toast). As usual, the salmon was cooked perfectly. ●"Nurtured Falafel Bowl" $16 (officially... falafel balls, beet hummus, turmeric roasted veggie quinoa, a blend of Persian cucumber, cherry tomato, radish, Kalamata olive, red onion, lemon wedges, pita). This is a beautiful dish, and offers many different tastes and textures. Ideal for vegetarians. Everything looked great, and tasted great. Bonus points for the excellent service. Our waitress was very helpful and kind. Like most of Rice Village, the parking spaces are very small, but overall, we give Hungry's 2 THUMBS UP! We'll be back.
Hungry’s Rice blvd….Normally would dine in because i love the refreshing atmosphere. Was craving some delicious crab cake but didn’t want to get out in the bad weather. I decide to have my order delivered. When i receive my order i was very surprised that my came crab still had a nice crisp to them. Food was still hot and fresh no need for the air fryer. Will be using delivery more often.
Loved the food and environment of the restaurant. I thought I had found a piece of plastic in my gyro, so I mentioned it to the server. The restaurants’ kitchen manager came outside to reassure me that it was in fact a piece of onion, so for that, I commend their customer service. (Loved their strawberry lemonade!!)
This Rice Village location had the perfect patio to end my weekend. The spicy pineapple margaritas were perfect. Highly recommend the Artichoke spinach dip, blackened fish tacos, waffles & chicken, Chipotle Beacon burgers & falafel plate. Afterwords you can take. 5 min drive into Herman memorial park and walk it alllll off!
Our absolute favorite place in Houston. It’s perfect for something “different”. Their food is very fresh and light tasting so it makes a great lunch. It’s always super filling! We love to get the lemon pasta with chicken added. It’s just outstanding. This time I tried the chipotle hamburger and it was so delicious.
Hungry's Restaurant is a hidden gem for brunch enthusiasts! The menu offers a delightful array of dishes that will satisfy your cravings and leave you wanting more. But that's not all—their cute patio adds an extra touch of charm to your dining experience. Whether you're enjoying a leisurely brunch or soaking up the sun outdoors, Hungry's is the perfect spot to relax and indulge in a memorable culinary adventure.
Our last day in Houston and Hungry's did not disappoint. The food, drinks, atmosphere and service was amazing!!! The spicy pineapple margarita, brussel sprouts and pepperoni/wild mushroom pizza was delicious. Our waiter Jesus was absolutely wonderful!! Looking forward to visiting again when we return to Houston.
My first visit here and it was AMAZING! First I’d like to point out service, Derius provided the best! I got the Anaheim Chile grilled chicken, the rice was good and the chicken was juicy. I felt the portions were good for the food as well. You definitely have to try the Spicy Pineapple margarita they have, so good. My friend had the cucumber martini and she enjoyed that as well, very fresh tasting. I like the environment and parking was easy!
This place is wonderful. Awesome waiter, awesome drinks, awesome food (a little pricey, but you pay for quality and this is top tier food without a shadow of a doubt). We also ordered these mini sausages that were insanely good (forgot to grab a picture of them) Edit: I'm trying to be as objective as possible, so only thing I will note as a con/negative was the toast. Felt like it was prepared before the meal. But seriously not a big deal and I'm sure if I said something they would've INSTANTLY rectified the situation and brought me another. No doubt.
This is a nice place to have lunch with all the outdoor seating. Food is a little pricey but everything is pretty good. Service is top notch. Limited parking, there is valet when self-parking runs out Edit: Food is pricey for broke people*** it is located in a nice area. Not a spot to bring your whole family and pick up the tab. Maybe once a month is fine or special brunch with the girls. That goes for the rest of the restaurants around the area
Hungry’s Cafe is an absolute delight for anyone seeking a culinary experience that tantalizes the taste buds and satisfies the soul. From the moment you step through the door, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. The ambiance is inviting, with cozy seating arrangements that make you feel right at home. The menu is a masterpiece, offering a diverse selection of mouthwatering dishes crafted with passion and expertise. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty sandwich, a vibrant salad, or a comforting bowl of soup, Hungrys delivers beyond expectations. Each dish is meticulously prepared using the freshest ingredients, ensuring an explosion of flavors with every bite. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite during your lunch break or indulging in a leisurely meal with friends, Hungrys is guaranteed to leave you craving more. It's a culinary gem that deserves all the praise and recognition it receives.
I came here today for brunch, and everything my friends and I ordered was so delicious! This place has improved so much since the last time I was there. It is worth coming here and spending time with your friends and family. We sat in the upstairs area (which is only open for 21 years and over) The ambiance is nice. The service is excellent, and there are plenty of parking spots at this place. And if there is no space for self-parking, there is a valet option. :)
I definitely choose to go here when I'm hungry. There are some traditional food options as well as some unique and you can always bet on fresh ingredients. There are not many low carb options, but there are healthy ones, nonetheless. I have yet to try their drink menu but will update once I do. Seating consists of indoor/outdoor and open dining area with tables (no booths). Pricing is a bit higher, but in my opinion worth it.
Glad I had the opportunity to try out Hungry's. Living a vegetarian lifestyle, I look forward to establishments that have multiple vegetarian options. I actually picked up food 2 days in a row. On the first day, we ordered the following: Hummus and Pita Bread, Southwestern Chicken Tortilla Cup, Ginger Glazed Salmon, Garlic bread, House Salad, and the Vegan Cowboy. On the second day, we ordered the following: Once again, the Honey Ginger Glazed Salmon, Pita bread, House Salad, and Brussels Sprouts Pizza. Everything was fantastic on both days. The staff members were pleasant as well on both days when I picked up the food. Looking forward to picking up a different dish on my next visit. There are 2 floors to the establishment with outside dining available.
We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Edwin at Hungry's during our recent work Happy Hour Social, and he truly made the entire experience exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Edwin set the tone with his warm, welcoming energy and genuine kindness. Hosting a group during happy hour can be a lot to juggle, but he handled everything seamlessly. He was incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive — constantly aware of our needs, refilling drinks promptly, checking in at just the right moments, and making sure everyone in our group felt taken care of. What really stood out was his deep knowledge of the food and drink menu. Edwin offered thoughtful recommendations, explained specials in detail, and helped guests navigate options with confidence and enthusiasm. Whether it was suggesting the perfect cocktail pairing or describing appetizers in a way that made them impossible to resist, his expertise elevated the entire event. Beyond his professionalism, Edwin’s positive attitude and calm demeanor created such an inviting atmosphere. He made our Happy Hour Social run smoothly and truly stand out, ensuring everything flowed perfectly and that each guest felt valued. Edwin is a true asset to Hungry’s. If you’re planning a gathering or simply stopping in, you’ll be in excellent hands with him. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you again, Edwin. Chris
We really love Hungry’s — it’s our go‑to spot in Rice Village. They offer plenty of vegetarian options, which is always a plus. If you’re craving a vegetarian wrap, they can easily make the Baja Chicken Wrap with the Iceberg Wedge Salad vegetarian by swapping the chicken for falafel. Their fire‑roasted tomato basil soup was also incredibly delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place. There are a few self‑parking spots available, but if you can’t find one, you can park in the Rice Village garage.
We had the absolute best experience hosting our private event at Hungry’s - Rice Village! From start to finish, the team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They made the entire planning process feel seamless and stress-free. Edwin truly went above and beyond to take great care of us and our guests. He was attentive, professional, and made sure every detail was handled perfectly. The space, the food, the service everything exceeded our expectations. We loved having our event there and couldn’t have chosen a better spot. I highly recommend hosting a private event at Hungry’s in Rice Village. You and your guests will be in the best hands!
Thanks for making me feel like a celebrity when I visit. Literally! You guys are the BEST! Never a time have I not walked in meeting someone for a bite and you are Forever complimenting my style, my outfit, priority seating, just the BEST! Like I say The A List Treatment and I LOVE IT!!!
First time visit last night for our family of 5. Appetizers: Parmesan Fries & Spinach Artichoke Dip (came to table sizzling) With Tortilla Chips were sooo delish! We all enjoyed our entrees! I had Eggplant Tacos for the first time which I’ve never heard of before! 😁 Very scrumptious! Generous portions with 4 of us taking home To-Go Boxes. Atmosphere: Very comfortable ambiance except where we sat was quite noisy due to a larger party being in the same section. Other than that we’ll visit again & still highly recommend this restaurant.
“I’d like to recognize Mo, the manager at Hungry’s, for his outstanding service. His attention to detail, excellent communication, and calm, professional attitude made our entire dining experience smooth and enjoyable. He made us feel welcomed and truly valued as guests. Managers like Mo are the reason customers want to keep coming back. Thank you for your exceptional leadership and hospitality 4 stars for restaurant and 100000 stars for Mohamed erfani
Love coming here for brunch - always good food, great service and a fun, cool vibe. We tried chicken & waffles, chilaquiles, and bacon cheese omelet plus mimosas - everything was fantastic !! And, we come before the Texans game and they are always great at working with our schedule to get us out on time. A real win-win!
I’m not from Houston, but every time I’m in town I make sure to stop by Hungry. The food is always amazing—fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. The service is just as great, with friendly staff who make you feel welcome every time. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. It’s definitely one of my favorite spots in Houston!
Super fun, whole food kinda based restaurant. There’s lots of vegetarian options, even a plant based entree section. The fries and goat cheese app was good but not amazing. Didn’t have, but was told the ceviche app was delish. The poke beet bowl was really tasty however the beets were overcooked. Would try again, hoping they won’t be overcooked the next time. Overall everyone was really happy with their entrees. With the price of food these days, this restaurant seemed reasonable for the quality and quantity. Would go here again.
Had a hankering for Hungry's. This classy yet casual resto welcomes all diners. Hurricane Beryl don't dampen your foodie spirit with their Mediterranean fare. The food is extra special and delicious, full of flavor! At your table, enjoy the perfect lighting for your food pics. A special thank you goes to Bryan and staff for their attentive service.
This was THE BEST Customer Service Experience that I have ever had! The manager Karah was so nice and accommodating regarding my dietary needs. She went ABOVE and Beyond to ensure that I had a great experience! We also had a great server, Sarah! She was sweet and helpful. But the food was FIRE!!!! We had Sweet Potato fries, Pizza, and Eggplant Tacos! My friend had the Salmon and a chocolate Lava Cake. We both agreed that the Eggplant Tacos were definitely top 5 tacos we’ve had ever! All in all this is now one of my favorite restaurants because of the awesome experience and the awesome food! Only area for growth would be the parking situation. Valet is complimentary but blocks off the designated self parking spots for valet use.
Came here for a Saturday brunch and there was surprisingly no wait, we were seated quickly and attended too quickly. The place is huge with plenty of seating inside and out. The vibe is fresh and clean. The waitress was super attentive and nice and welcoming. The drinks did take a bit to come out but the food was very fast which surprised us lol everything was delicious and fresh. Definitely recommend.
Will definitely revisit this place. We went at around 1pm on a Sunday and the place was very busy but we still managed to get a table on the patio. The food was great, including the kids meal. The fresh pressed juices were good too. They Hungry’s kabob plate was the best out of the dishes we ordered. Flavorful and well made. The Baja wrap was good too although I didn’t care too much for the wedge salad. Our server was friendly and helpful. All in all a good for a nice family meal or to celebrate. We were not allowed upstairs because it was only for adults.

The ambiance was really cool and our server Edwin Cruz was so friendly and efficient. The Bacon Jam BLT, caramel latte and Brussel sprouts were delicious.
Food was really good and service was great. Izzy was our waitress and she was exceptional! I would recommend the upstairs outdoor patio it was a nice environment

Good burger. Cool outdoor vibe and not overcrowded on our weekend late afternoon sunday stop. My mom had the crab cakes which looked underwhelming but she enjoyed. My wife had brussel sprouts that were good. Beautiful outdoor seating which makes the good food worth a stop if you are looking for a spot to chill eat modestly priced food in a solid outdoor setting.
Fantastic ambiance, amazing food, and great service. Taking one star away from 5 because of parking and the complimentary valet service they provided which was very rude. We ordered Mimosas, Artichoke Dip, Chicken and Fried eggs, and French Toast. The food was as good as it looked on the menus, and our server, Wendy did a fantastic job!
Went for brunch with a larger party. We went they opened and was seated quickly. Restaurant had a great patio space and the inside was very sunny and pleasant! I had the crab cake Benedict and the accommodated my request to scramble the egg. It was really a large portion. It was accompanied by a refreshing side salad. We also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip to start with. It was perfect for sharing. Over all the entire party enjoyed their brunch. Was really nice that they accommodate for kids too with a kids menu.
It’s always good to be back at Hungry’s. I went with the family Friday evening for dinner. We started our dinner with some cocktails. A pineapple spicy margarita and blackberry ginger margarita. Both margarita were good but my favorite was the blackberry one. The blackberry margarita was sweeter and more refreshing than the pineapple one. To eat we order lemon pasta with chicken and hamburger. My pasta was delicious but a little spicy for my taste. My husband had the burger and he liked it a lot. We always have a good time at Hungry’s. Delicious food and good cocktails.
Having not been to Hungry's in many years, we decided to revisit for brunch. Overall, it was pleasant but nothing to write home about. Food: We had crab cakes Benedict and the gyro sandwich with fries. Crabcakes were good but not great. Gyro meat was good, but the pita bread was oddly tough. Fries were ok. Service: As expected but not above and beyond. Drinks were often empty. To be expected with how busy they were. Atmosphere: Semi casual but stylish. Busy and kind of loud as usual. Nice building, though.
I had crispy chicken burger and everything on my plate was so fresh. The chicken was juicy. I would definitely come back to try more. I went back to hungry's for a quick snack. The pizza was thin crust, crispy and has the yummy pesto sauce. Molten lava cake was scrumptious. It was a chocolate heaven.
Spent a socially distanced evening upstairs and it was a great experience. They have an extensive vegan menu and vegetarian options also. All staff wore masks and the tables were placed a good distance away from each other. I had the falafel wrap and while it was a decent size, it didn't really deliver. As with many restaurants that have vegan options, the wrap was basic and didn't have much flavor. There wasn't an option to add fresh pepper or anything to it. The fries were decent. Overall, it was a good dining experience but definitely wish the food had been better.
First time coming here for a friend's birthday. I love the place structurally. Very huge and spacious! I tried the espresso martini i loved it fire just all around. I also had the spicy pineapple margarita the jalapeno wasn't overpowering the pineapple it was perfect. To eat, I had the beef tenderloin sandwich with caramelized onions and bell peppers it was perfect the beef was extremely tender and full or flavor even the fries were on point. I also tried the ahi tuna tartare is was amazing! One thing i tried and did not like were the parmesan tots, just wasn't a app to rave about or anything i actually had them removed from my ticket because why. But other than that love this place. Alejandra our waitress was very delightful and nice on point and catered to us I only wanna sit in her section if possible. You guys add gratuity and i still tipped on top of that thats how great she was!!!
The atmosphere here for Sunday brunch was lovely. I liked the modern layout with indoor and patio seating. The flight of mimosas had three flavors: orange, raspberry and strawberry; all of which were refreshing. I ordered the Hungry's kabob plate with a combination of chicken and beef served with rice, vegetables and garlic bread. The meal tasted good, and got better when I added some jalapeno hummus. Overall good visit. I intend to try out other items on their menu.
Really nice atmosphere, perfect for a lunch out or brunch. The food was great, I got the beef tenderloin Bahn mi and it was delicious. The nurtured falafel bowl is super delicious as well. Parking can be a bit difficult in the lot as the spaces are pretty cramped, however they do have valet available as well.
Hungry’s is a great brunch spot! I’m a vegetarian and they have amazing vegan options as well as vegetarian. The service is always great, I’ve never had a bad experience in the 5+ times I’ve been there. My sister is vegan and she raved about the Veggie Burger! Also, make sure you get their Spinach Artichoke Dip, IT IS DIVINE. So I definitely recommend this place!
Lovely upscale American restaurant in Rice Village Food (4.5/5): the dishes here are pretty tasty, well-seasoned and feature fresh ingredients. Value: (3.5/5) Our brunch for 6 came out to just over $180 ($30/person. While this included tax and tip, we didn’t order drinks / desert. Entree portion sizes are pretty large. Service (3/5): around New Year’s brunch was pleasant could’ve been more attentive. Ambience (4.5/5): The interior is well appointed and gestures a modern open-kitchen design with tasteful decorations.
Although their parking situation did not welcome me kindly- I parked at a parking spot that had no cones and had to walk back to my car and repark because it belonged to valet. Mind you, there was no sign or a way of me knowing. The attendant told me that “everyone knows” and me being there the first time is supposed to be a mind reader, I guess. He didn’t want me “to damage valet guests cars”. Yup. No comments. Their Self Parking area is smaller than Valet, so getting a parking spot there is a sport. However, our time at the restaurant was amazing. Avery was the kindest. Exactly what I needed after the workout at the parking. Food was incredible and Avery was able to answer all our questions about meals, drinks and deserts. Loved it.
This restaurant boasts a lovely patio right in the heart of Rice Village. They offer a variety of menu options as well as wine & cocktails. I ordered a fresh squeezed lemonade and it was perfect! My girlfriends and I shared baked goat cheese dip appetizer served with toast strips and we all agreed it was delicious. I ordered a Bacon Jam Club Sandwich with homestyle crisps. While the portion of sandwich ingredients were hefty, I, unfortunately, did not like the overall flavor. The bacon jam was too sweet and the combination of flavors just didn’t work for me. I figured it was my fault so brought it home and my guy loved it. Our waiter Gustavo was very pleasant and attentive; however, our food was delayed unacceptably too long. He told us the kitchen was running behind and we patiently waited over half to :45 mins. My girlfriends each ordered salads and one ordered a pizza. I’ve shared pictures of those items as well. Overall, the restaurant is welcoming and has a charming vibe on a beautiful day outside. This location is celebrating 50 years in business! They are offering a special menu celebrating their anniversary. I think it’s a good place to meet up with friends for a quick bite. I think I’ll visit again and try something different.
Food is varied and delicious, a must try. Dining rooms are crowded though. Often wait for an open table is 15 minutes or more.
We came for Sunday brunch and there was about a 35 minute wait, which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. It was chilly outside so there weren't many people sitting outside. The croissant Fr…
Good atmosphere in a great neighborhood. They have a full bar and plenty of food options. I would say the food is good, but not great. We were a large party so it did the trick.

This is my third time here. Environment is nice. Parking is horrible, service was not great every single time; they were kind of slow and inattentive. The food is nothing to write home about, hollandaise is bland, waffle unremarkable, the baked goat cheese as an appetizer was delicious, and the mimosas were good too. But that was about all the good things so far.
I am broken hearted because the chicken orzo salad was my favorite and I'm going to desperately attempt to find a bootleg recipe online where I can mimic this at home. It seems like some of the Houston menus are getting "white washed". Where they all just have a burger and pizza, ect. What made Hungry's unique seem to be dissipating on this new menu. I got a croissant version of eggs benedict when I thought I was ordering a breakfast sandwich. I want to say it was good but it was so drowned in the sauce that it was really heavy/mush and I wasn't able to finish it. The sauce on it reminded me of a biscuits and gravy type sauce ( in case that happens to sound delightful to you). The atmosphere and the waitress were both lovely, I would give it another try but I'm extremely disappointed about them removing that orzo salad which was to die for.
This was my first time visiting and I must say it was nice but not what I expected. There was seating outside and in and upstairs. However, upstairs was only outside balcony seating due to a baby shower that was happening in the main dining room upstairs. It was pretty cool with the fans but all of a sudden it got really hot and uncomfortable. I’d definitely recommend sitting inside if you don’t like the heat. The food choices were not appeasing to me or my friend so we just ordered mimosa flights. They were good. The strawberry one was my least favorite. Cranberry and pineapple are the BEST ones. Our waiter was great and attentive. We may try again and sit inside, order food and see how it is. Valet is great and they accept tips.

Food is not as good as you may think. I ordered Burger , Omelette, Spinach dip I would say they dont know how to make good potatoes. The French Fries that came with the burger did not have a good bite to them. The Rosemary Potatoes that came with the Omelette had tooo much of a strong Rosemary flavor. The tortilla chips that came with the Spinach dip were stale & not fresh. Overall I'd say 2/5 stars. The best thing I ordered was the Mimosa how crazy is that.
While the food itself was pretty decent, the service throughout our brunch was just awful. The entire experience started off poorly with a hostess with the worst attitude I can recall. I understand needing our entire party to be present for us to be seated (even if most places only require half), but that definitely wasn’t reason enough to look at or speak to us the way she did. The rest of our group arrived less than 5 min later, but that didn’t change anything for her as she maintained a disgusted look until the moment she finished walking us to our table. Easily one of the worst initial impressions I’ve ever had for a restaurant. While our actual waitress was friendly, we still ended up waiting for long periods of time between interactions. Took over 20 min for our orders to be taken, along with at least 20 min to have our CC charged for the bill. The manager did come to check in on us during the meal and was very engaging, but that obviously wasn’t enough to make up for the overall disappointment.
Hadn't been in months so we decided to go at 1:15 today. Unfortunately, the valet kept honking at us while trying to park in an open space. Sign says, "self parking available." There was NO CONE in…

I had placed a buffet order for eight people, and they refused and told us that the minimum was for 10 people. Watch out, they will try to nickel and dime you and are more focused on money instead …
My experience today was not good. The food and customer service was very sad. I ordered chicken tortilla soup. But received celery and carrot soup with tiny bits of chicken. But to add insult to injury they put scrambled eggs in the soup as well. OMG I've never had that type of tortilla soup before. I called and ask for a manager and someone name Ricardo said he was the manager. I explained what happened but he just brushed me off. So I asked for the phone number to the corporate office and he stated he didn't know it. No help, bad customer service...
I posted my review right after having my negative experience. The restaurant within a day publicly responds with an offer for me to fill out a form on their website, so they can apologize in person? This is code for: "The poster is an anonymous internet troll lying, and we want to confront this coward in person - let it be known to anyone viewing that we have integrity and the poster has none." I really do not respect restaurants that do this kind of grandstanding. It's just a way to save face while minimizing the complaint. Another option would be to ask the waiter if what happened is true. I posted the review, the day and the time I went to the restaurant, and a copy of my receipt, and it was 1 day ago. If true, refund the item for the pasta, and then come to google reviews and announce to everyone how you refunded one entree. Another option is to just ignore my review completely and take your 1 star review. If you believe that your chef accidentally put cellophane in my meal, is this the way to handle it? Also, what happens if I show up in person to accept your face to face apology? Sounds intimidating. -- Had a piece of cellophane in my wife’s sausage and pasta dish. I placed it on an unused butter knife and discretely asked the waiter to tell the chef. I heard a waiter tell another waiter “plastico” but that is all. Everyone pretended nothing happened. I didn’t want to make a fuss in front of my kids and it’s my wife’s birthday. Acknowledgement would have been good enough for me because I really did want the kitchen to know. An apology would have been appropriate. Import note: It’s disgusting that they cooked plastic and it made me wonder if my shrimp cerviche was handled with care. Monday at 4:30 p.m. (very slow). They probably wrap their sausages in cellophane and should just be careful. It made me wonder if they just heat packaged meals. The fact that I politely mentioned it to the waiter probably resulted in my feedback being ignored. I left with a strong impression that only two waiters knew of the problem and feedback wasn’t given to anyone. I will no longer go here. I have gone here and recommended this place for 20 years. I used to think the food was a bit expensive, but a pretty solid restaurant.
Completely unprofessional and unable to accommodate allergy needs. I am highly allergic to soy, however I am usually able to find something to eat. We came as a group of 12 to have brunch, the waiter was very nice and asked if anyone had any food allergies- I proceeded to tell him I could not have soy. The waiter did let me know they use soybean oil so I could not order anything fried. Not a problem, I looked at the menu and ordered the kabob plate. The waiter then came back to inform me they also use soybean oil to marinate all the meat in their menu. So that ruled out everything but the burgers since those patties are frozen. I asked if their mayo has soy for the burger and indeed it did. At this point, my whole party had already ordered their food- I was just trying my best to order something but could not eat anything. I asked the manager if I could bring food from outside for myself to eat since I could not eat anything from their restaurant. He denied this and said I could not bring any food from the outside, although there was nothing in the restaurant I could eat. I explained once again that all of their items had soy and I wad only asking to bring food for myself since everyone had already ordered food- I was told I could not. My whole party and I decided to leave. If you have food allergies, I would steer clear from here. The manager does not understand food allergies.
