So good! My favorite KimBap place to go !

This place has the best service I've ever received anywhere. Kind, attentive, informative. The hostess cheerfully answered all my questions about Korean food (since it was our first time having it). The kimchi with pork was delicious and flavorful and very spicy! It was a chilly day and she was kind enough to put the heater by us without even being asked. My boyfriend and I ended up staying for a few hours just chatting and enjoying the atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting again!

Glad we found this nice little gem. Been here twice and both times the food was excellent. If you can ear spicy highly recommend the tteokbokki. But you pretty much can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Oh if you like Kimchi you might want to buy some to take home as it’s one of the best I’ve had.

Besides the fact that the food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, the servers are very friendly and kind, and they helped me pick out some foods that I wasn't really familiar with. Also it's very clean and the food was made quickly.

Aside from some dirty dishes still on tables and behind the counter, this place was amazing. The lady working behind the counter was friendly and helpful. She gave us extra things to try with our plates. The food was DELICIOUS! Definitely will be back.

UPDATE: I literally drive 45 for the 짜장면 and I live right near a lil korea, this is the best authentic Korean food I’ve had yet!! 잘 먹겠습니다🫶🏻

Absolutely great authentic Korean food! Might be some of the best we found in the United States. The Ja, Ja, myun and tong su yuke and Jambong are absolutely delicious. The owners are so gracious, and kind that we will drive from San Antonio to eat at this restaurant.

black bean noodle is one of my favorite foods, and this place has the best one by far! my parents couldnt stop talking about how it tastes just like how they remember from growing up in korea. definitely authentic and delicious!

Great food, I had the Bibimbap with tofu. It was a very large meal, with veggies, noodles, rice, and meat. Amazing flavors, I can't wait to go again.

My girlfriend and I came across this place by accident and we decided to give it a try. Growing up, my best friend's mother was from Korea and she made Bulgogi quite often when I would go to visit and I fell in love with it! I tried making it myself once using a recipe that I found online and it just didn't taste right. I have talked to my girlfriend many times about that particular dish and her and I ordered it from Kimchi Cafe without setting our expectations too high. Not only was it delicious but, I even loved the kimchi which I was never to fond of! This restaurant brought back memories with every bite and we will be going back as often as possible. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I highly recommend to any and everyone!

It's not really necessary to order online as food is prepared when you arrive. No biggie it was out in minutes and hot. Really good and a decent portion for the price. Will definitely be back.

Omg..... awesome food. The menu is simple and traditional (or so I hear). The prices are affordable and the portions very affordable. My family keeps going back. It's quickly become a family favorite or a "comfort" food.

This little restaurant is on the way home from work for me, and ever since discovering it, I stop by at least twice a month. The food is simply wonderful, and VERY fairly priced. If you go to other Korean restaurants in town, you'll see how low cost this place is. I especially recommend the kimchi fried rice with pork. You get a large portion of pork, rice, kimchi, and even a fried egg on top plus soup. All for $8. Compare with other places that charge $15+ per entree. Also I think this is the only Korean place in or near Katy, great for me since I live all the way past grand pkwy on I-10. Overall, highly recommended!!

Owner operated great place for good Korean / Korean fusion food. Freshly prepared while you wait, the soups are terrific, the bibimbap is lovely and the savory pancakes (pajeon) are delicious. Worth the drive.

It's really authentic Korean food, which is hard to find in Houston. I lived in Korea, and my wife is Korean so we are so happy to have found this place. Try dipping tuna kimbap in the tteokbokki sauce!!

I find myself eating here at least once a month. The spicy seafood noodle, the sweet and sour spicy pork, the black bean noodles, the tuna kimbap are all really good.

I’m Korean and I stop by here several times a week for their doenjang jjigae. I could make it at home but they make it so well and it feels good to support this cute family run restaurant. Everything I’ve tried is delicious and pretty healthy. My favorite meals are the doenjang jjigae and the champong rice. The beef mandu is also awesome. You will definitely feel full afterwards.

Awesome Korean food! Try the pork tacos, vegetable pancake, beef bulgogi and the Kimchi is a great addition. It's usually not crowded and you get to watch them cook behind the counter. The pork is spicy and the bed is sweet!

Bulogigi Bibimbap, Tangsooyook, Tonkatsu, Spicy Pork Bibimbap - all these dishes were equally good. For the price, their portions are very generous given that most places are shrinking volume and/or increasing prices. Staff is super friendly and family like. Highly recommend.

Really good homemade korean. We’ve had kimchi fried rice w bulgogi, spicy pork over rice, jjamppong and bibimbap. All of them are delicious.

If you love Korean food, this place is a must! Best Korean food I've had in Texas! The service is great, the people are really nice, and the location is nice and cozy. You get a lot of food for a great price, the kimchi is delicious, and the bulgogi is always well seasoned. If you haven't tried it yet, please give it a try!

One of my fave korean food. I always go for the sundubu jjigae. I notice that there’s a lot Korean expats visiting so a good sign of taste authenticity.

One of my go-to places for quick bite. Their preparation time is very quick yet the food taste great! My favorite is Gim-Bap(all are good but Spicy Tuna is the best!) and BeanSprouts Ramen.

This feels and tastes like when my husband and I lived in Korea. We had jjampong and jjajangmyeon and tangsuyook and they all tasted amazing. This is one of the best Korean restaurants I have had States side. Will be regularly returning!

By far the best restaurant in the area. The short rib is excellent. Everything is good. The lady cooking is a sweet heart. I like add things to my food and she has never once said no I can’t do that. From the beginning she has been very nice to me. I literally go here 5 times a week.

After a new owner take over recently the food taste awesome! The place is so much cleaner and the price is so much cheaper than other Korean restaurants. Maybe because they don't give you 10 side dishes, but the food is so good!! I wish this restaurant was closer to home. I have to drive a little over an hour almost every weekend to eat here.

I’ve had my fair tastings of kimchi stew from a lot of different Korean places but this cafe by far has the best kimchi stew I’ve ever had. The broth was so flavorful and this is one of the only Korean places that isn’t skimpy with the tofu. I would 100% recommend this place for the stew alone

10/10 place. Everything we got was made to order. The bulgogi bibimbap was amazing, the Donkatsu was so tender yet the outside was crispy. The portions were a decent size not to mention the customer service was also 10/10. Woman seemed very genuine and kind. Very helpful and patient with us. This place is definitely a gem. Will be returning soon.

Food was amazing and came to the table about 10-15min after we ordered. The price was a bit higher but the quantity and quality of the food made it worth it and I didn't feel like we over payed for what we got. Very friendly and nice staff, the facility was clean as far as I could see. Kimchi is very good. They also have house-made kimbap for sale! I have wanted to try this place for while and I finally got the chance today. Although I have never been to Korea i truly feel as if the food tastes like your Korean Grandmother poured her heart and soul into your meal. I ordered the spicy beef cabbage soup and it was amazing. Definitely a comfort meal that would be perfect on a cold rainy day. I will definitely be bringing my friends and family back. This establishment deserves more notoriety.

Usually I four star atmosphere for diner type surroundings, but KimChis has The Best Hot Pot Bulgogi Bibimbap!, and the environment is like visiting your Korean family, if you are lucky enough to have one. ❤️ I think it’s because one giant television has a cooking show and the other has the Korean national news, or music videos, or a drama. Very low key, and I almost hate to recommend, because it’s just the right amount of crowded. 🌸. With the location at Barker Cypress near I10/Katy Freeway I sometimes stop here if traffic is too bad, have dinner, order takeout for the family and relax before heading home.

OMG, try their 돈까스(pork cutlets) it is HUGE and so tasty. It reminds me real Korean 돈까스 I used to eat when I lived in Korea. Edit on 1/9/2025 Revisited after year. Still good. Huge portion. Their new menu cheese pork cutlet is amazing. Missing mushroom in pork cutlet sauce though.

The hot stone bibimbap is the BEST!! We love it so much and everything is amazing, the amount of sauce, the portion of vegetables, the rice texture! I love their tofu and seafood soup too. Their Kimbap is also amazing! Price is very nice too. Service is self- serving, but all usitils are clean. Recommended to who love to try Korean food.

You have to prepare both water and chopsticks on your own. The restaurant was a little cold because there were many people taking out. The food came out quickly. All the food was delicious. Especially Champong was very delicious to my taste. It's a bit spicy, but it's a taste that keeps getting amortized. I want to eat again even now when I write a review. If you like Korean Chinese food, I recommend visiting here.

After going to Seismique I was craving some Korean food and I’m really happy google maps suggested this place. The cafe is small so you order and pay first but the service was very fast. A must visit place for all the Korean food lovers. It’s a small restaurant with homely vibes and home cooked food. The food has so much of flavor in it. With the crunch of kimchi, the fried rice was really good and flavorful. The spicy pork added a nice kick to the fried rice. The kimbap which I usually had in other restaurants were very dry and had less flavor but this restaurant didn’t disappoint me at all. It was super moist and carried all the flavors of Tuna. I will surely visit this place again to try out other dishes. I highly recommend this place.

You don't have to go to katy China town to get authentic Korean tofu stew! This was 👏AMAZING. Please kiss the chef. The stew was light with the right amount of spice it was so good. I will be back. Honestly, I was surprised not to see it packed with food that good. TRY IT!. Side note it's a mom pop shop not too big inside, but food is delicious.

Consistently good. I greatly enjoy the spicy number 7, Kimchi fried rice bokum bap. Its a large hearty serving of rice mixed with Kimchi covered with chicken or pork in a very spicy red sauce , topped with a fried egg. The Kimchi lends flavor and crunchy texture to the rice. It arrives at the table sizzling away happily in an iron pan. For a lighter option I like the broiled mackerel or the spicy stir fried cuttlefish. Its a small restaurant and can get very crowded at lunch. The couple of times I've been there for dinner it has been almost empty.

Solid choice for quick Korean food. Beef bulgogi is from good cuts of meat and an easy crowd pleaser. Friendly and quick staff. Pay and order, then wait for the sizzling goodness to be delivered at your rable. Parent notes: High chairs available, no changing tables in restroom. Kid friendly dining environment.

Memorable Korean food! I had the beef bulgogi and my boyfriend had the spicy seafood tofu soup. He does not think it was very specify but he loved the flavor of the food. I went to Korea not too long ago and the need bulgogi was very similar to this place :) definitely coming back!

Not a full-blown Korean restaurant with tableside service and full bowls of different banchan, like a regular Korean restaurant with wait staff. You order at the counter from the small menu of items, pick it up when ready, and then take it to your table. The bibimbap was tasty. The fried yaki mandu was large, homemade, and delicious. They do serve a small side of kimchi with the bibimbap bowls.

Good food, fast service, very generous portions. Cute homey little cafe. Also decent kimchi which is hard for a picky person like me to find. Banchan was a bit limited (only kimchi and radish) but they were happy to refill.

Family run restaurant and it's next to work which is convenient. One of the very few Korean restaurants in the area without having to drive to memorial or Bellaire. Food is good and the service is quick. I Recommend this place if you're looking for some Korean food without having to drive into town.

A small restaurant hidden behind a strip mall serving delicious Korean food. Staff greeted me warmly once I stepped into the restaurant. I had the K-dumplings, kimchi-jjigae, stone pot spicy pork bibimbap, and bulgogi gimbap. The k-dumplings were pre-packaged frozen dumplings. I was expecting homemade dumplings like the one I ate in South Korea. Despite the dumplings were served piping hot, and the exterior was crispy and dark, the meat inside wasn’t warm. The kimchi-jjigae was spicy, sour, and served extremely hot. There were pieces of firm tofu, some slices of pork, and lots of kimchi in the stew. Super yummy! The restaurant served two kinds of bibimbap. One is in a stone pot while the other is in a regular bowl. I prefer the stone pot version because firstly, the food would remain hot after 20mins. Secondly, I like to scrape the bottom and sides of the pot to get crispy rice. The bibimbap was so so good. All the ingredients were seasoned well, and the pork was tender and spicy. I love it. The bulgogi gimbap was packaged in front of the order station where you can grab-and-go. I absolutely love the gimbap. It was tightly wrapped, and everything was seasoned well. I would go back for the gimbap, jjigae, and stone pot bibimbap.

The taste is good, but the rice used in the bibimbap wasn't fully heated, and the hard rice grains significantly affected the overall texture.

This used to be one of my favorite places, but I think they changed ownership. The kimchi fried rice here just isn't good. Every part is very dry, and the rice itself just tastes old. The sauce used doesn't add much flavor, and there is very little kimchi in the dish at all. If there is, it's really undetectable. There also isn't any heat, and that spiciness is what I originally liked about the food here. My recent experiences here have just been very disappointing.

Super hard to believe the ratings, I was not impressed. As a lover of Korean food, i thought it was sub par. Could’ve been the time I went. I had visited sometime before and forgotten the experience and now I know why it took me a year to return. First, I was the only person the more for an hour so I already things wouldn’t be so fresh. I ordered the kimchi stew and it tasted like awful leftovers. My rice was hard and not hard like over cooked but more like it had been sitting at the bottom of the steamer and they didn’t want to replace until it was all gone so it sat there. Kind of disappointed but seeing as there’s not much business, I understand food probably sits in the wait. I ate it because I was very hungry but will not return.

I had to put 1 star because its the lowest on here but it really should be without a single star. Food was over priced, kitchen looked dirty, still decided to give it a chance since the reviews on here said "great Korean food" ... Well the food was awful I couldn't even eat the plain white rice, the miso soup looked like it had been sitting there all day and the noodles with chicken I got were the worst thing ever...I have never seen brown noodles before. Now I have the worst food poisoning ever...absolutely do not recommend. I'm posting a REAL review... Now that I think of it I didn't even see an inspection license for the restaurant.

Unfortunately, I had to change my review to a one. I came in wanting just the kimchi fried rice (just the rice). I was charged a regular price for just the rice (no meat no egg). No big deal I really wanted to just get the rice this time around and willing to pay the regular price. I come frequently and usually get my order pretty fast but this time around I walked in to a not so friendly staff. I understand that Lunch times are pretty busy and I could tell the girl/owner was flustered. We'll she took that out on me and got very confrontational. So I just asked her to switch it to white rice instead just to make it easier but that seemed to bother her even more. It really took me back that she would speak to a customer that way no matter how frustrated you may be (she needs an additional cook). They lost a customer and any future recommendations.

Disgusting this place is hot inside you will sweat the entire time you are therel. Don’t ask for a substitution because they will be hard willing to try to force you to eat food the way they make it. The chef is nice but the person taking orders and running the cash register should not be in the restaurant business. I’m a 20 year veteran of the restaurant business and I’ll never come back here again! I should’ve known that when we showed up at 7 o’clock there was only four cars in the parking lot and maybe seven people in the restaurant. I would never be there ever again!

No/bad flavor. Ordered the spicy grilled chicked and beef plate... terrible. Fried dumplings had a no flavor either. Sadly, the best part of the experience was my tea and free tiny salad. Will not return.

8.1.24 Jjamppong had decently sized seafood pieces, but the noodles were a little overcooked in all of our noodle dishes. The flavor of the jajangmyeon was good. Service was poor..middle aged Korean lady was so pleasant to other Korean patrons, but stiff with us, because she thought we were all a different Asian..typical middle aged Korean lady and her racism....aigoo..a shame. Would not recommend.

I didn’t get to eat because upon immediately walking in the door it felt unwelcoming. When I walked in the woman at the counter didn’t bother to speak before just walking off and leaving me standing there. After a bit she comes back and I start to order. I take a short pause to decide the second dish, but she turns around and grabs an order then proceeds to serve it leaving me standing there in the middle of ordering. At this point i’m irritated so I just say, that’s all. After that she says it’ll be 20 mins because it’s really busy. There were 3 tables seated with food already and 1 to-go. I wanted to be understanding but it was really a bad experience so I feared something would happen to my food. I’ll just go to a bigger Korean chain to spend my coins.

My sister and I ordered food to go at lunch time. It said to pick up to pick up between 11:55-12:05. I am writing this review while in the establishment at 12:02pm. The owner tells me the food will not be ready for another 30 mins and she just started a 30 min timer when I walked in. I am an Afro Latina woman. I was polite and communicated clearly and politely. She began to raise her voice and say that she cannot service me because she has customers. I informed her that I am also a paying (already paid for the food) customer, that is also in her establishment. As you can see above the only other customers were Caucasian or Asian. I feel she dismissed me as customer with prejudice. By 1- denying I am also a customer.. 2- offering to cancel the other as the only solution. That’s after I explained to her that I am also on lunch break and lost time driving here to not have food at all.
