the atmosphere was absolutely amazing and comforting. we got the pistachio croissant and that is an absolute must try! their special tiramisu dream latte was perfect and not overly sweet and their espresso drinks were very tasty. would definitely recommend!

Love this place! Been here about 4 times already and it’s amazing every time! The staff is very kind and welcoming. The desserts they have are very yummy and so is the coffee! My favorite is the caramel macchiato with oat milk! And my favorite dessert is the pomegranate milk cake. Come support this amazing coffee shop!

Taj is truly revolutionizing the cafe game here in Houston. Not only is it beautiful aesthetically, with the mix of modern and traditional furniture, but the vibes are warm and welcoming. I work as a nurse, so I greatly appreciate Taj being open late hours. The lattes are delicious, so far I’ve tried the Spanish latte and Biscoff latte. Mahmoud made my drinks and he was so inviting and kind. Just for following their acc on IG, I got a free baklava 🥰 I’ve already told everyone at work they need to come here on their breaks. Highly recommend!!

Amazing hospitality, ambience is the perfect balance of work and community. Ordered strawberries with chocolate and pistachio, they made it fresh and it tasted perfect. Also if your an espresso lover their espresso is perfect strong but smooth! Will be a regular!

Me and my friend went to Taj to chill . Very cozy atmosphere.Love their Aesthetic decor and tasty authentic middle eastern dessert. Their staffs( chef, manager or owners) were really friendly. Shout out to Chef Mahmoud, brother from Palestine for his amazing service and hospitality . Definitely will come back.

Been there couple of times and the Arabic / Turkish coffee is great! Tried this time the pistachios latte & it’s delicious not that sweet! The doubt chocolate is good as well! Love the deco. The only thing the music is a little loud.

Loved our experience at Taj today. The moment you walk in, the place feels elegant, warm, and beautifully designed. I tried their avocado smoothie with their signature in-house cream, and it was incredible. Fresh, silky, and not too sweet (although they add honey so if you’d prefer less honey on the side of the cup let them know) — one of the best specialty smoothies I’ve had anywhere in Houston. Their desserts are also house-made and taste authentic, just as good as they look. The service was amazing — friendly, attentive, and really elevates the whole experience.

Coffee is strong and so delicious, and the place looks amazing. There’s a lot of outlets near the tables too so it’s a nice place to get coffee and study. The workers are really nice and we sat for so long to get work done. It was $18 for a specialty coffee and a slice of cake.

Wow! This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Houston, and it was actually my first time here! I haven’t found anywhere else that even comes close. Today, my partner and I came in with a friend and had such a wonderful time. We ordered a few different items and ended up staying for at least three hours. Not once did we feel rushed, if anything, we felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated the entire time. The service here is outstanding. The staff goes above and beyond to provide exceptional customer care, and it truly shows. For a first visit to leave this strong of an impression says everything. Highly recommend! But the real showstopper is the outside patio, where hanging pots of bougainvillea add a splash of vibrant color. It’s peaceful, inviting, and thoughtfully styled—definitely somewhere you’d want to linger. What we tried: • Hot Chocolate + Walnut Croissant: The croissant was delightfully crisp and nutty, pairing well with a creamy hot chocolate that wasn’t overly sweet. • Flat White + Banana Bread: The coffee was spot-on—smooth, rich, and balanced. The banana bread was moist and comforting, with just the right touch of natural sweetness. • Halawat el Jibn and Mango Tiramisu were simply delicious—beautifully presented and full of flavor. It would be wonderful to see a broader selection of croissants and dry pastries on the menu, especially with a few less sweet options to offer a more balanced range of flavors. I’ve been seeing the build out for the last few months and I’m blown away by aesthetics. This cute coffee shop is absolutely a must visit. The drinks are very good. I’m a coffee shop owner myself in another state and I love how the owner has created such tasteful recipes. I got the tiramisu iced latte for my sit down visit and it was phenomenal (pictured) . I also tried the Carmel latte to go and that was also really good. It’s the espresso and coffee he uses that makes the drinks taste well. He has the consistency down just right for me to taste all the deep rich flavors and notes. This will be my to go spot .

Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone in Houston or visiting the area! Atmosphere is great, the decor is beautiful and it feels like you’re transported to another place. Try the mint tea, the chocolate and pistachio oush bolbol, adani tea and the coconut babousa. You will not regret it! I used to live in the Middle East and have been wanting to pick my Arabic back up and practice. Muhammad allows me to practice with him when I come in with no shame. It’s like having a small piece of the Arab world back here in the states. As someone not of the Muslim faith, I never feel uncomfortable here and there is always a diverse mix of people present. They cater to everyone exceptionally. I can work here comfortably and love to come here for both long working sessions alone and quick chats with friends or family. I am bringing everyone I know for the quality of food and service alone. There is easy parking, vegetarian options and the prices for everything is extremely reasonable. Come visit soon!

Absolutely stunning cafe! I finally found a coffee shop that not only has an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and environment but equally as great coffee. I tried the Tiramisu speciality ice coffee and it was delicious. Usually at other places latte’s taste watered down or too sweet, the coffee here has so much depth and richness to it. I’ve never had coffee this smooth before. We also tried some pastries, I like the coconut dessert and the little chocolate balls were delicious. Our first time having Turkish coffee, very nice staff here as well, I can tell this place is well loved and is a community staple. I’m happy I found it! I will be back for the coffee and to repurchase the chocolate dessert balls!

I was taken a back from the service, presentation, and their coffee! This is how coffee should taste like bold, creamy, with a touch of sweetness. I have been telling all my family and friends about this place. If you haven’t checked it out you must! I have gone back over a handful of times and every time the coffee is made to perfection! My personal favorite is the Spanish latte as well at the biscoff cloud. The dessert is also very good compliments the coffee that doesn’t over power.

An absolute hidden gem! We enjoy regularly traveling to Houston to enjoy some multicultural cuisine. In the Middle Eastern realm, there are quite a few places in the Houston area. When it comes to knafeh, there are a few spots in town. We were in the mood for something sweet and stumbled upon this cafe after a Google search. We are so glad we did! The selection was vast and included various Levantine sweets like lady fingers, baklava, ghouribeh, oush bolbol (an old country favorite of mine), and many more. The knafeh was fantastic, both the coarse and the fine. The coffee was spectacular, the Biscoff Cloud was delicious. Three shots of espresso and of course, Biscoff! The staff were all quite amazing and very welcoming, we felt right at home. To top it off, the decor was spot on. I know this is a relatively new place, however I HIGHLY recommend it! You will not be disappointed.

Excellent service, the kanafeh is freshly made, and the coffee and desserts are served at your table. Barista Mahmoud created perfect latte art for me. I'd been to two places before, and neither could create the art Mahmoud did. The prices are affordable, and the atmosphere is exclusive, clean, and quiet. The staff is very friendly. we came across this Cafe on Tiktok and based on the videos we wanted to try it right away, we love the fact that they are open late since we work late and most places to hang out are closed around that time, as soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a beautiful ambiance, the place is very well decorated from the walls, chairs tables and even small details!! the staff was amazing everyone had a smile on their face and was very polite, helpful and accommodating to whatever coffee we were looking for which wasn't on the menu but they were still making which was the brown sugar shaken espresso, came out delicious, we got a few different pastries to taste (also brought some complementary desserts from the staff) and ended up loving them all, the staff was very attentive Maria is whose name i got she was very very sweet, multiple staff members came to our table and made sure thay we enjoyed our drinks and pastries!! i highly recommend this place if you are looking for a cozy spot to spend with friends or family, especially late evenings!! they mentioned they have breakfast sandwiches as well which im hoping to try one day as well!!

This cafe is so pretty! I think it’s fairly new but is 2 minutes from my house and I am very excited I stumbled upon it. The decor is so warm and inviting and the staff is friendly. They offer a variety of sweets that can pair perfectly with your drink and they are bite size pieces so you can get a few to try. The staff is friendly and even hand me a free pistachio finger with my tea to try how sweet and the tea is great. I’m sure this place will be buzzing once it’s discovered!

Was visiting the area from Florida and came across this cafe! Absolutely beautiful spot to grab a drink or a quick bite! We were greeted by the friendly staff who were very attentive to us. The drinks and food were delicious! I ordered the Bounty cake & the Tiramisu latte and was absolutely delighted by my choices, the coffee was bold with just the right amount of sweetness and the pastry a coconut and chocolate delight!! we came across this Cafe on Tiktok and based on the videos we wanted to try it right away, we love the fact that they are open late since we work late and most places to hang out are closed around that time, as soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a beautiful ambiance, the place is very well decorated from the walls, chairs tables and even small details!! the staff was amazing everyone had a smile on their face and was very polite, helpful and accommodating to whatever coffee we were looking for which wasn't on the menu but they were still making which was the brown sugar shaken espresso, came out delicious, we got a few different pastries to taste (also brought some complementary desserts from the staff) and ended up loving them all, the staff was very attentive Maria is whose name i got she was very very sweet, multiple staff members came to our table and made sure thay we enjoyed our drinks and pastries!! i highly recommend this place if you are looking for a cozy spot to spend with friends or family, especially late evenings!! they mentioned they have breakfast sandwiches as well which im hoping to try one day as well!!

This cafe is so pretty! I think it’s fairly new but is 2 minutes from my house and I am very excited I stumbled upon it. The decor is so warm and inviting and the staff is friendly. They offer a variety of sweets that can pair perfectly with your drink and they are bite size pieces so you can get a few to try. The staff is friendly and even hand me a free pistachio finger with my tea to try how sweet and the tea is great. I’m sure this place will be buzzing once it’s discovered!

Was visiting the area from Florida and came across this cafe! Absolutely beautiful spot to grab a drink or a quick bite! We were greeted by the friendly staff who were very attentive to us. The drinks and food were delicious! I ordered the Bounty cake & the Tiramisu latte and was absolutely delighted by my choices, the coffee was bold with just the right amount of sweetness and the pastry a coconut and chocolate delight!! The owners truly care about their customers as I heard them asking other tables and us how we liked the food! If you are in the area please give them a try! You won’t be disappointed 😊😊

An absolute hidden gem! We enjoy regularly traveling to Houston to enjoy some multicultural cuisine. In the Middle Eastern realm, there are quite a few places in the Houston area. When it comes to knafeh, there are a few spots in town. We were in the mood for something sweet and stumbled upon this cafe after a Google search. We are so glad we did! The selection was vast and included various Levantine sweets like lady fingers, baklava, ghouribeh, oush bolbol (an old country favorite of mine), and many more. The knafeh was fantastic, both the coarse and the fine. The coffee was spectacular, the Biscoff Cloud was delicious. Three shots of espresso and of course, Biscoff! The staff were all quite amazing and very welcoming, we felt right at home. To top it off, the decor was spot on. I know this is a relatively new place, however I HIGHLY recommend it! You will not be disappointed.

Excellent service, the kanafeh is freshly made, and the coffee and desserts are served at your table. Barista Mahmoud created perfect latte art for me. I'd been to two places before, and neither could create the art Mahmoud did. The prices are affordable, and the atmosphere is exclusive, clean, and quiet. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend coming to Taj Sweet Cafe.

I came here with a group of friends, and this spot honestly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and made us feel right at home. They were attentive without being overbearing, and you could tell they really care about creating a welcoming experience for their guests. We tried a little bit of everything—Turkish coffee, cappuccinos, tea, and an assortment of traditional desserts. Every single item was delicious. The Turkish coffee was rich and bold, prepared freshly in front of you, and the cappuccinos had that perfect balance of smooth espresso and velvety foam. The pastries were the highlight—fresh, beautifully presented, and so full of flavor. We ordered a variety, and it was impossible to pick a favorite because each one had its own unique taste and flavor. The space itself is beautiful and cozy, with warm décor and a relaxed atmosphere. It felt like the perfect place to sit down, slow down, and enjoy good conversation over coffee and dessert. We ended up staying for quite a while just soaking in the vibes. This is definitely a place I’ll be returning to—not only for the amazing sweets and drinks but also for the genuine hospitality. It’s such a gem, and I can’t wait to see it grow. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to enjoy great coffee and authentic sweets with friends.

Recently visited Taj, and it’s easily one of the best Arabic coffee shops I’ve been to. The whole experience was a delight from start to finish. We tried the Tiramisu Latte, the Caramel Latte, and the Dubai Chocolate made in White Chocolate each drink was rich, freshly brewed, and full of flavor. Everything tasted so fresh and well-prepared, you can tell they put real care into what they serve. They also offer a wide variety of chocolates, sweets, knafa, and fresh breads so much to explore beyond coffee. The ambience is stunning and so aesthetic cozy, inviting, and beautifully designed. And unlike other “namely” coffee brands that have great social media presence but disappointing coffee, Taj is the real deal. The coffee here is just as good as it looks. I think Taj is an absolute must-try. Delicious menu, amazing presentation, and such a beautiful vibe. I’ll definitely be going back!

Knafe taste good but was cold , not the warm cheese that we expected. Macchiato was cold too , we order sage tea too and tasted perfect. Place clean and well decorated

Coffee: I enjoyed the iced latte. A little pricey. Barista: The barista was pretty polite. Manager: The manager asked me to move because there were no more seats available for another party. As a business owner, I found this approach inappropriate. It’s important to treat all guests fairly and not prioritize one group over another. Like most establishments, if there are no seats available, guests typically wait until a table opens. I believe seating should be handled in a way that is fair and respectful to all parties. And all parties should be accommodated fairly. -The manager came over and apologized. I do really appreciate this gesture. He even brought a few treats to the table. Atmosphere: Noisy if you are looking to study, work, lots of chatter and music. (Which is nice if that is your vibe)
