The chocolate fountain for marshmallows is a unique dessert feature. 100% my newest #1 go-to buffet in the Houston area! Superb service — a wide variety of foods — the establishment is clean — and everyone is friendly!

It was a really nice place very friendly people nice atmosphere. And the food was very delicious and had a lot of great food to choose from. You will not leave hungry and if you close to my age. You will definitely be ready for a nap.

It was our first time visit and we celebrated my mom’s birthday. Nice place to eat. Good buffet price. I highly recommend this place. Good location. We enjoyed the spicy shrimp, butterfly shrimp and mango jelly.

Service was outstanding. I love that they don’t have huge hot plates - that way ensures that fresher food is coming out all the time. Relatively chill. Fried fish was awesome. However, they do not have Coke products only Pepsi products.

I live close to this restaurant but today is my first time eating here. It’s a big place and clean. Food is fresh with variety of dishes. Especially the price..very very good. We dine in on Sunday night in a group of 5 (1 kid) and the bill is less than $100. We will come here more often for sure.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Great Dining Experience at Texas Buffet! Texas Buffet is a hidden gem that truly delivers on quality, cleanliness, and value. The food selection was impressive—everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, from the classic Southern-style dishes to the flavorful international options. I especially appreciated how frequently the trays were replenished and kept hot. The restaurant was very clean and well-maintained, including the dining area and restrooms. You can tell the staff takes pride in the environment they provide for customers. Best of all, the price was extremely reasonable for the variety and quality offered. Whether you're coming with family, friends, or just craving a hearty meal, Texas Buffet is definitely worth a visit. I'll absolutely be coming back!

A typical Chinese buffet with pretty much the same variety of dishes, plus a sushi and a hibachi section. Overall the food was good, the flavors were there, quality was up to standards, especially the hibachi. The service was the highlight. Staff was amazing, so helpful and welcoming. The whole experience was satisfying. Highly recommended and definitely coming back!

Food is good. Lots of variety. Reasonable price. The fellow makes a very good fried rice at the hibachi station. You can exercise creativity at the dessert station, i.e. using sauce from the chocolate fountain to elevate the assorted cake varieties, creating warm apple pie a la mode with the available ice creams. You'll eat a filling meal here.

The atmosphere is very nice, good music, and service. The sushi is very good for a buffet it is pretty fresh, but the best part is the hibachi very good seasoning and meats. All that for $18 for adults and $10 for kids.

Texas Buffet is a solid spot if you’re hungry and want options. The food is good, portions are generous, and everything stays hot, which says a lot for a buffet. Nothing worse than lukewarm trays, and that wasn’t the case here. The service is excellent. Staff is attentive and keeps things moving, and the wait time isn’t long at all. You can get in, get seated, and get to eating without feeling like you’re camping out in the lobby. Now, the price is a little on the higher side for a buffet. For a family of four, it can add up, so shucks, it’s not exactly pocket change. But it’s still doable, especially considering the portions and the variety you get. Overall, it’s a good choice for a quick date night or a relaxed family dinner when you don’t feel like cooking and want plenty to choose from.Texas Buffet is a solid spot if you’re hungry and want options. I'm only giving it 4 starts because I did not go in the bathroom. The restaurant was very clean. Food was hot, and fresh. The staff kept the buffet and tables clean. Offered reliefs regularly. And a napkin dispenser on every table made my day.

Stays true to the “buffet atmosphere”, a lot of delicious options but there are some misses as well. Service is very friendly and helpful as well. It is a repeater, especially if you are wanting big portions for a reasonable price.

Came with the wife and 1 year old. $13 each for the lunch buffet. With one drink was $30 total after taxes. Food was good. Hibachi was really good! Restaurant seems clean and the service is nice. Way better than the previous golden coral that was here. Overall not bad. And my baby got to eat as well and she’s a picky eater.

We decided to come after seeing for couple months of announcing their opening. The food was ok, the service was very good and prompt! The restaurant was clean and every employee greeted you with smiles. I tried the hibachi, which had great variety of choices of meat. Some of the food looked like it had been there a while and reheated too long, but it’s a buffet so I’m sure it’s a challenge for most. 4 out of of 5 stars for me, I’m not sure I’ll be back, sorry 😔

I was up around the Cypress area and thought I'd stop in and see what they had. With a name like Texas Buffet, I didn't expect an Asian buffet! It looks like a converted Golden Corral but they did manage to change it up inside. Pretty standard selection of food on the buffet and it wasn't bad but nothing really stood out to me. They did have a habachi station but I didn't get that far. Seems like really nice staff and everything is pretty clean as well. They've been open for like 9 months and if I lived or worked in that area, I would probably try them again and update my review. The one positive thing that stood out to me was the pricing that made it worth the visit.... including giving seniors, military, FD and PD discounts!

This place opened up recently near my neighborhood, and I have to admit, I was excited to try it. Me and my mother visited it today, noticing how packed the parking lot was too. We got our seat, got some food, and hoped for the best, but DEAR GOD were we wrong. I tried almost everything the buffet had to offer and a good 90% of it was either bland or disgusting. Never before have I been so unhappy at a buffet. I'll eat anything in front of me, but even I wouldn't eat this. The fish? Dry. The chicken? Bland. The only good thing I can say is that the coffee cake was moist, and the sushi wasn't bad. The frog legs were also pretty good, very juicy. Everything else? Horrible. I will say, I didn't get the chance to try the hibachi station, so that might be good (I've read some good reviews about it). If you decide to eat here, PLEASE don't underestimate how much you'll need the complementary salt and pepper. The chef(s) have no intention of seasoning the food, so the job falls onto you. The soup was bland and gross. On my first plate, I had fried rice, broccoli and chicken, stuffed mussels, and a dumpling. The fried rice was just white rice with egg in it. The chicken and broccoli wasn't horrible, and by that I mean the 'broccli' part wasn't horrible. The stuffed mussel was just mussel and cheese. Not bad. And the dumpling reminded me of the frozen ones I'd get from Sam's club. After that, I had the wanton soup, which was just oversized wantons swimming in water seasoned with a pinkie-sized pinch of seasoning. Imagine making instant noodles, except you refuse to use the seasoning packet and drink the bland broth by itself. Then, thinking that it was the only bad soup there, I got a small scoop of the seafood soup, which ended up being worst. I never had seafood stock, which is what I'm guessing the soup base was, but it was horrible. Bland and oddly thick? I couldn't even identify what 'seafood' was in the soup itself. Then I had some sushi, a frog leg, and a piece of the coffee cake. These were arguably the highlight of the whole hour I spent there. The coffee cake was sweet and moist, like any cake should be. The frog leg was juicy and the crust was crunchy. Pretty good. The sushi is a little dry, but soysauce fixes everything for me. They also had a wide array of sushi and a bowl of seaweed salad as well, and both tasted good. I gave the food 1 star because... obviously. I give the service 4 star because it wasn't bad. We weren't asked if we wanted a refill or anything, but they lived up to normal expectations. They didn't spit in our faces and demanded we left, so 4 stars is good. I gave the atmosphere 3 stars since there was little to no ambience. It's just a large, white-walled restaurant with basic furniture. All in all, the old Golden Corral that used to be there was better. Maybe I wouldn't have been as angry if we didn't have to pay 46 dollars (with military discount) for entry (6 dollars for 2 iced teas, 40 for 2 adult entries). There are definitely cheaper & better buffets compared to this one, but at least I know not to go back. If you do go, I suggest you try the hibachi, as I did not and could not speak on it. Personally, they can keep the money. I want the hour I spent back.

Horrible food poisoning. First time ever in a buffet. I will never do this again. The food seemed Luke warm. I noticed it wasn’t hot. I got super sick. I’ve had chills. I’ve been throwing up a few hours after I ate. This was my only meal of the day it’s been horrific. Now I’m in the hospital! This is crazy.

It says lunch togo is $5.99 lb but they dont tell you if you get hibachi charge you $7.99. it doesn't say that anywhere on the menu, so i find that misleading. Especially with the limited variety food they offer. I'll be happy when Lins Grand buffet open up on hwy 6

Everything about this place is HORRIBLE! Food looked, smelled and tasted rancid, old and tasteless. Bland at best! The grill guy looks absolutely upset like he couldn’t stand being there. Lady at the front was nice but that’s it. And the atmosphere was crap. An employee even came out of the restroom stall looked at the mirror and went back to the kitchen. 🤮 🤢 Be wary of this place if you don’t want to get food poisoning. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

This was the most horrible Chinese food I ever had. Even the fruits were nasty. The noodles looked like they had been dipped in food coloring. The ribs were boiled no seasoning and water tasting sauce. On top of that you had to pay before you eat. I should have lefted then. I don't recommend this place to anyone. The service was fair. The tea wasn't tea but that's what they said my taste says 😌
