Went to Haymaker Bar and Kitchen in Manhattan for the first time over the weekend with a group, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, and the staff was attentive and genuinely friendly. Jimmy, the bartender, made great cocktails. The fries were perfectly crispy and delicious, a must-try snack. Great spot for drinks, food, and good vibes. Highly recommend!

One of the best beer selections I’ve ever seen in NYC. Great food and a fun place to go before or after MSG. The bartender (Jim) knows his brews and recommended some good ones. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m around there again.

Consistently delicious drinks and bites at this bustling midtown gastro-pub. Nice bartenders, lively afterwork crowds, and efficient kitchen that plates hot food fast. Crisp details add up via the cocktails, decor, and dishes to give the entire experience an elevated feel. Salty fries, zinging spirits, quick service, medium rare steak finished nice. Friendly vibes, clean joint. Nice spot for New Yorkers in a touristy area.

Honestly this is our go to bar in NYC! Everytime we are in town we come to Haymkerbar and Kitchen. We have been coming here for 6 years now…the drinks, the staff, the food and the atmosphere never disappoint. Today was our 1st day in the city and headed straight there after a full day of walking the city!! We are here for another 5 days and will be stopping in several more times. Had the popcorn chicken appetizer with dipping sauces, excellent. Try the spicy pineapple margarita or a vodka martini and you won’t be disappointed. Good beers too!

This is a Sahlid spot for a tasty beer and or a bite on the way out of the city. Tasty food & draft menus and nice beers to take away. My favorite near NY Penn to meet a friend, colleague or just score a tasty beer or 3

Came here on a Wednesday night around 8 pm and this place was busy. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the space looks pretty nice. The beer selection is great as others have mentioned. The food was a mixed bag. Spinach and artichoke dip with pita chips was very good. So was the bruschetta. The jackfruit sliders and fries were not that great. We didn't even finish them. Service was very nice and friendly. I would probably go back for the beer.

Stopped here before a hockey game and it was great a time! There was a great variety of non alcoholic drinks and they were very accommodating for food allergies/dietary needs in the group. The food was good, but didn't expect the mac & cheese and spinach & artichoke dip to be a bit spicy since it was in the description. Overall worth visiting!

Servers we nice but once it got busy it took some time to get their attention. The hummus and chicken wings were great. The ribs were tender and seasoned but not exceptional. The chicken tacos were bland. Maybe that was a bad day for the tacos. Overall, I'd visit again and try different foods on the menu.

Food has gone down hill. The chicken sandwich is tiny. The burger was very salty. Used to be a neighborhood favorite for food, now not so much. Great selection of beer and decent service.

Great beer selection and close proximity to MSG. Service and atmosphere were fine but the food was pretty average and portion sizes very small for the price point

Came on a Friday afternoon for lunch and the place was pretty dead (not really a problem for me). Went to sit at the bar and the person behind the bar just stared at me...didn't even get a hello. Overall the service just seemed kind of cold and indifferent. Sandwich and food was not bad but probably won't be coming back here.

My Kansas friends didn't believe NYC was rude and aggressive. Christina proved them wrong 😂 thank you for giving us a classic NYC experience. When Christina picked up our check, she was clearly unhappy that that our regular server had allowed us to spllit the check between a corporate card and a personal one. She accused us of lying to her to get an exception to their rules, then yelled at us and escalated the situation when we asked her not to be rude. It became clear that her issue was less with us and more with our server when she told us to not leave any tip. Not only was it a rude end to the evening but now my friend will have to file additional paperwork to take our drinks off of her company card. My advice? Order the prosciutto flatbread (it's delicious), pay in cash, and enjoy the workplace drama.

Usually great food but today Sunday evening we order popcorn chicken and a steak sandwich as a pick up order but unfortunately the chicken had to be thrown away- as you can see by the picture. Hopefully it's only a one time occurrence.
