My first visit, very impressed! Clean, friendly staff, great food, atmosphere. . I had the chili omelette for breakfast. My only minor complaint; the coffee was weak, needs to be a bit stronger, more flavorful.
Great place for breakfast. Were from Arizona and absolutely loved this place. It is small but they do have outside seating as well. Customer service was excellent! Food was amazing! Lots of variety. I'll be going back when we visit again.
I have always loved this place since it first opened and I had my house in the Santa Susana Knolls. Classic New York-Jewish / Simi Valley-American / California- Mexican style Dinner. Moderately priced, great taste and portions. Western Comfort Food
Best breakfast I've had in a long time. I had the wagon wheel breakfast two pancakes which were done very nice two Bacon's and two sausage. Sausages were very tasty. Service with a smile and answered all my questions since it was the first time there. I will be back
We finally stopped in after driving by a hundred times and were really happy we did. Great, friendly service. Awesome food. Nice location. We'll be back before the end of the month for sure.
I had not been in the area for years and we decided to check out this place for breakfast. Glad we did. It was crowded on a Sunday morning but the service was great! The food was delicious and we were able to sit on the patio. Just a great place!
Awesome pastrami roast beef. Sauerkraut had some bite and the fries were crispy! Service was fast and friendly. I love the little wagon out front and the genuine feel of this place. Go here for a quick lunch or a full meal with the family!
Great Cafe atmosphere, like from back in the 50's & 60's Dogs allowed in the outside eating area. Food has good sized servings of great tasting food. Always frindly servers. I would recommend to everyone. As close to 5 STARS as you can get. Not prefect, but when there is a problem they take care of it quickly. Thanks for doing it right.
After driving Woolsey Cyn, we wanted a coke, and wandered in. Nothing fancy, perfect and welcoming. Sat in the outdoor part with lots of others (seemingly locals). Staff was really kind, not fake. Their pink lemonade made my adult daughter really happy. We ordered the Pistol, a pastrami scramble that was delicious. Prices seemed fair. Frankly, a lovely find.
This is a good ole-fashioned cafe. The breakfasts are hearty, the portions are generous, the staff is gregarious, and the prices are reasonable. Nothing is fancy here, but things are done right. Honestly, what more could you want? A piece of cake to top it all off.
Best place in Simi to get quality comfort food before and during this current quarantine situation. The owner makes her own cakes from scratch and definitely provides a warm atmosphere. And if you're worried your take out isn't going to taste the same, forget about it. It loses absolutely nothing! Love this place!
Great community, feels welcoming and always great to talk to the workers. Food is a huge plus, never had a bad meal there. The atmosphere, the outdoor eating, everything fantastic Police should sit in that lot to catch people on that road tho, gets loud and fast lol
We were able to seat 8 guys on the shaded patio for Saturday breakfast. Short stack ($8) was perfect (nothing special). Coffee flowed. Definitely will try eggs next time
The four of us had a great breakfast
I must admit that I first come here because I had a discount coupon. What a nice surprise !We all had different orders and all our dishes were delicious. Belgium waffles are great. French toast ,fantastic. Also enjoy looking at the pictures on their walls. They are of the movie ranch Corriganville. This was once just next door to this diner. I remember going to this ranch when I was a kid. Brings back many memories.
can't say enough about this place. I get the Popeye (overload of Spanish, white cheese and eggs) side of sourdough bread with butter and syrup (I call it: the no egg french toast) and home fries, with a side of water. Sometimes when I want to ruin my diet. I'll get the wagon wheel: 2 pancakes, eggs, homefries, bacon, sausage (I'll get this one on a Sunday, knowing I'm not going to be needing lunch). If you go and visit, let Donna know that Chad sent you, it'll brighten up her day.
I don’t usually leave reviews on places I stop by but this cafe has been so good to me the few times I went there bussboy with blonde hair is so sweet and respectful such a good boy. He’s very professional and thoughtful and most of all hilarious he always seems to put a smile on my face. I would recommend this place to anyone just from customer service 👍
Great staff great food! Busy for breakfast but staff handles it pretty well. Two thumbs up!
I came here over 50 years ago. I'm so glad that it's still open.
We had been looking for a family owned breakfast place and kept coming up short. After finally stopping in, we've found our breakfast go to. The menu is crazy extensive and everything they brought out looked amazing! The staff was super friendly and the restaurant clean. Our food was DELICIOUS and I'm already looking forward to the next visit. They also have an outdoor seating area and the shrubs are covered in jasmine, so it smells divine!
Excellent food. Reasonable prices. Friendly service. The patio dining is great. Easy to keep a social distance, and there are several large umbrellas to protect from the hot sun. I was kind of randomly driving last week and discovered it. I've had an omelette and a tri-tip salad, and both were very good.
This place is rustic and charming! The food is DELICIOUS! I got The Wagon Wheel/French Connection and the French Dip. Both meals were yummy! The Roast Beef was perfect, very lean. Generous portions too. It is a local favorite. The Owner is very friendly and takes the time to make sure that customers are Happy! When in Simi Valley, be sure to go to the Old Susana Cafe!
My husband and I come here for breakfast several times a month. We love the staff and the menu is very good with specials on a white board. We also like that we can bring our puppy and sit outside on the their shaded patio. Family friendly.
Visited here because my family lives locally and I hadn’t ever been here. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was, and the service was just right. Our party had omlettes, croissant sandwiches, eggs Benedict, etc. And it all tasted delicious. The cafe is a cute little local place you don’t want to miss.
Met some friends here. They are regulars, it was our first time here. Very cool vibe. The service was really good, the people are amazing. I had a great omelet, hash browns and toast. My daughter had the chicken and waffles. We had them put fresh strawberries and whip cream on the waffles. Very yummy!! Her breakfast was better than mine. Lol
This is truly a Hidden Gem in the city of sune valley. They have an amazing staff and outstanding food that is fresh. There are so many healthy options for people like me that had cancer and are now on food restrictions. They have also made me things at their suggestion that were truly wonderful. It is a pet Friendly restaurant out on the patio plenty of shade for everyone. If you were in Simi Valley this is definitely a must stop. My wife truly enjoys the crab cake breakfast. They have a vegetable burrito, that contains all French vegetables and avocado. The sauce is made fresh every morning.
Nice little getaway from commercial dinning. Food was very good fast and friendly. First time visit. Lived within walking distance of this place years ago but never took the time to eat here. They were always packed on weekends for the traditional motorcycle meets........ I will definitely return.
We love this family owned restaurant which is our go to place on the east side of Simi Valley. We absolutely love the food and the friendly kind staff who tend to their dining guests. Feels almost like family serving home cooked delicious country/American cuisine.
Friendly with great food. Very reasonable prices. Inside and outside dining. Warm and inviting.
I happen to love this Diner, it's pretty Standard Diner menu but they have a few cool things on the menu like the Simi scramble. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. There is an outdoor patio for dining as well as plenty of seating inside. I've been there dozens of times and never seen it packed out and always been able to get my order in 15 minutes or less. Great Diner!
Just had an early dinner at Old Susana Cafe, our waitress Meredith was amazing! From taking our order, giving us a pitcher of tea to keep our cups full to suggesting the outstanding chili cheese fries and secret pup menu! Our party had meatloaf, philly cheese steak, a turkey sandwich, and of course a chicken breast for Bug, all the food was soooo good. The service, food and atmosphere are without equal here in Simi Valley. Do yourself a favor and make this place a regular stop.
Three friends got together, and each had 3 delicious breakfast meals. The Croissant French Toast w/Berries was amazing w/a side order of bacon. The fruit was fresh and sweet. Hospitality was very good, and the place had various age groups represented at the cafe, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. We will definitely be back.
Excellent lunch, food fresh & well prepared. Excellent service, very friendly staff
Fried stk n gravy with biscuits delightful.....except the home made biscuits were hard as if put in a microwave.(which should never be in a kitchen -home or restaurant- ruins the chemical make up of good prepared food.... I digress....but you can put bisquits on the griddle and cover for 30 sec so they're fluffy and warm please. My friends had breakfast omlette and side of gravy and said it was a tummy full of happiness 😊 The other one had a lunch sandwich equally as good. Waitress was great at checking on us and keeping drinks full :)
Me and my bf come here from Porter Ranch. I love the vibe here and the food are delicious. We are International student here and will like to try something more local. This spot is pretty good and want to try the sweet next time!! ❤️
Great food and excellent service. We’re guys from Belarus, and we really enjoyed this place. Highly recommend!
Spot-on diner feel and fare. Very friendly staff; great food and generous portions for the money.
Great food, great atmosphere. I haven't been here in over 10 years, and the prices are a little bit higher than I remember but that's inflation. I'm not complaining. The food was amazing.
Simply the BEST! I GIVE IT TEN STARS. A must eat, eatery. Snug into the beautiful Knolls area of Simi Valley aka Santa Suzanna. The food and staff are wonderful. You will not be sorry! I promise. Go. Yep!
This was the old Former Walk In A Frame walk up window service place over 35 years ago. The owner commented fire fraud and was arrested many years ago. It sat sadly half burnt. But because it is partly historical being so close to Smith Road where you turn left to go to the end to find the old Historical Corriganville Park. This used to be a park where many films were born. Run Tin Rin, th famous Rescue German Shepard, but mostly noted for The Masked Hoodlum who stole from the rich to give to the poor, Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest, the actor was Errol Flynn. The old saying back then and today, "In like Flynn" because he was so famous he got in everywhere with Woman and uh hem, Men. And many Bars and Restaurants gave him Proprietary entrance to a crowded Establishment. The Park is also next to the Train Tunnel that Metrolink runs through built by old time Immigrant Chinese workers. It's also famous for the original Pony Express Road that deliver d Mail from Los Angeles to Ventura County. So back the old Walck In, it got purchased and it became the Santa Susana Cafe. They have a historical Stage Coach to represent the Pony Express or to indicate how many settlers traveled from afar to buy up land for farming in Simi Valley. Many Black and White pictures line the walls inside with old movie stars. The area is famous for people like Bob Hope and Roy Corrigan. The food is plentiful They also have an outdoor patio for fresh air dining.
My church, Faith Christian Church, we all met there Saturday morning at 9:00 and the service was phenomenal. The food was excellent! And all the employees there are extremely professional and helpful. We had a wonderful time I recommend this place highly
I love, love love this little country cafe because, in my opinion... the chef goes above and beyond to serve up the best sausage, waffles, and eggs, among other delicious eats, and the tastes is the best in all America! So, that twenty dollar bill could get you something pretty darn satisfying food for that grawling, stomach! Oh, and let's not forget the great customer service. Also, the owner, "Geri," has a legacy behind this world famous cafe where Ms. "GERI" shared with me that while teaching school for decades, she also tirelessly worked her cafe business seven days a week! Wow! Now that's dedication to her late husband's dream for the Old Susana Cafe. I highly recommend the Old Susana Cafe to everyone on the planet! And I give this place five stars!.
Drove up from West LA specifically for breakfast here and I’m happy that I did so. I am working through a long list of recommended breakfast restaurants and diners in Los Angeles County and Old Susana was on that list. I would describe it as a local gem and more of a to go breakfast spot that also caters to indoor dining. You can order at the counter and grab it to go or you can sit down in the dining room and have full service, which is what we did. There is a large parking lot attached with free parking so finding a space is very easy. Pricing is also very fair and all the sizes of the dishes are quite large. Our server was also very polite and everything that we ordered came out very quickly. This was our first visit so I wanted to get one of my favorite things to order which is Eggs Benedict. I saw that they had a Crab Cake Eggs Benedict so I selected that and I’m very happy that I did so. The crabcakes had a lot of flavor, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the side of hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. I was honestly impressed with the meal and it was a better breakfast than I had last weekend at another breakfast restaurant close by. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area and plan to be back sometime in the future once I get through my list.
The food here was great. I met with some friends for brunch on the patio. My friends brought their Samoyed, so the restaurant is dog friendly, which was nice. I had the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict with the Country Potatoes and everything was delicious! This restaurant had great service and a nice atmosphere.
first time trying out this place. let me tell you, the food does taste as it looks. we ended up getting the chile reyeno omelet, the wagon wheel, n a combo plate for my son. the chile reyeno came with your choice of home style fries or hashbrowns also side of toast. the wagon wheel I got had French Toast, eggs n 2 bacon, and 2 sausages. the portions were huge. the service was excellent. I definitely recommend you live in the area or visiting simi Valley.
This is, by far, Simi Valley’s very best breakfast place. The food is always delicious and plentiful. The waitstaff is always so nice and super attentive! The outside patio is perfect for any sunny weekend morning! And there prices are very REASONABLE! When every other restaurant in this town is raising their their prices by more than 50%, this owner has held out and just recently had to raise her very reasonable prices by a nominal 20%. And she felt terrible about it. She still has the best price/value ratio in town, by a long-shot! Lastly, you can really tell a lot about a restaurant just based on its bathroom situation. Although this place may have a small bathroom, it is apparent that the staff and ownership keep it in a very clean and pleasant condition. When an owner maintains a clean bathroom, it is often a very good indication of their kitchen! At the risk of seeing some potential wait times, I highly recommend this wonderful place! 👍😎🍳
We love this place. Stop in and enjoy a bite to eat along with learning a little history about the area. There are pictures on the wall showing what the community looked like years ago. The service is always great and the food is reasonably priced. Breakfast is delicious and they offer a great selection of lunch and dinner options too. They even have a really nice outdoor dog friendly patio area. Locals, you gotta support this place! They deserve your business!
Met some friends here for lunch, and I gotta say this place is pretty legit. Nothing too fancy, but great food at a reasonable price with friendly wait staff. Not too far from the freeway, it's tucked far enough down kuehner to be a quiet setting. Fairly clean, good food, decent wait times, fair pricing... a nice place to gorge on a lazy Sunday.
The waitstaff at Old Susana Cafe are attentive to detail, not pushy, and I believe that this is what brings customers back. Additionally, the menu provides plenty of options at a good price. I prefer a little bit more seasoning in items like biscuits and gravy (coming from years spent in the Southern USA), but for the typical American breakfast, there are definitely no complaints. Inside offers a historical perspective on the local vicinity via old-time pics, and outside is a large nicely shaded patio, which I recommend—weather-permitting. We'll definitely plan to return.
Food is fresh, reasonable sized portions, nothing fancy just a very good value for you dollar. Service is friendly, tables are clean, nothing more or less than you would expect from looking at the retro exterior. If we lived closer we be taking advantage of this place more often. They let us roll our bikes inside, not sure if this is policy or we just got lucky twice. I suspect it is just that kind of place, if you don't make a fuss and don't bother the other dinners, you are good.
There's a reason this place has been around for many decades. Good quality, solid breakfast and lunch entrées, and many interesting and unique offerings. Great eggs, omelets, pancakes, etc. and always enjoy their sandwiches and burgers. Something for everyone, including a cold beer if you're so inclined. Always worthy of a stop when you're in the area.
Used to be our GO TO every weekend. We do love this place and the people that run it, but unfortunately, things aren't as good as they used to be. The coffee used to be the BEST!! It seems that their supplier has changed, and what they are serving now is not good at all. We have had issues with our food the last few times we visited and it does really pain me to say, we just haven't wanted to go back. I hope they are able to regroup, and get back to where they were in the past.
Excellent little cafe! The staff are almost always friendly and helpful. The food is very good and I love the fact that they will offer you a salad instead of fries with your burger. They're dog friendly and have a great, well-covered patio. Excellent parking. Although they close a little early for dinner and aren't open on many holidays, they are a nice place to hang out with friends. If you ride a motorcycle, show up for bike nites on Monday.
Decent food and good prices. Got the breakfast enchiladas, very good service, staff was friendly. Refried beans tasted canned and had some black specks from the grill or pot but otherwise fine. Would go again
2021- Service a lot better. Food plentiful and tasty. They were not in any big rush to ask if what we wanted for drinks. Had to talk my Mom into Not leaving since no none acknowledged us after 5 minutes. I had to go get menus for us to look at. Food was so-so.
We sat outside on the patio. Overall it was a great experience. The service can be a bit more attentive. The portions were a good size and the food was delicious.
Good breakfasts, large servings. Their ham steak was delicious, and their home fries have bell peppers and onions - very good. Service is excellent. Good parking area and indoor & outdoor seating.
First time here and will definitely be back. Very old main structure and nice patio in the back. Pulled pork didn't have much flavor which was a bummer, but willing to try so many other options. Hope they work out!
This is a great local cafe on the east side of Simi Valley. Breakfast is served all day. There are plenty of options for everyone to choose from. They have a nice little patio to sit outside or you can sit inside in a bit of nostalgia. The food is good. The staff is friendly. Parking is plenty. It gets busy on the weekends. I came on a Thursday and it was busy, but we were seated right away. My omelet was perfect. My hash browns were crispy. The hot water for my tea was kept full. One thing that I really liked was that they brought you a selection of teas to choose from instead just one plain black teabag. Come by and try Old Susana Cafe for a great meal with friendly service!
I like bringing the kids here for breakfast on the weekend. The inside seating is on the small side but they have a huge patio with seating as well. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The service has always been really good. Everyone who has ever waited on us has been nice and accommodated my kids substitution requests with a smile. I have had omelets and breakfast burritos and like both choices.
A great place for breakfast (or lunch)! Don't expect mind blowing flavor on what you order, but you'll defintley feel at home and the history at this restaurant! Service was super friendly and feel like you're just part of the family! Will be back with my family to try different dishes, as their menu has a wide selection!
The food is amazing. Never disappointed with my order. Sometimes this place gets very busy since it is a small place. The outdoor seating is nice but the service tends to take longer outside. If you sit indoors, you will have better service. There are some cool old photos of Corriganville inside too.
Food was good but a little bland. We ordered omelettes and I was able to sub potatoes with cottage cheese to make it more keto. Food took a little long to get to us so kitchen was probably backed up but other than that service was good. We sat on the patio with our pup and there was lots of shade. We will definitely go back.
This is a tremendously unique and wonderful restaurant right over by Corriganville, which is a fun place where they film movies with a western town, a lagoon, etc. see my separate review for that. Old Susanna has the most fantastic breakfasts. But they have lots and lots of other food too like a really good burger. It’s a little bit loud inside, but they have an outdoor patio that looks like it was imported from Beverly Hills. It is just really soothing and beautifully decorated. They have an extensive menu and we come here regularly, you have not eaten in Simi Valley until you have eaten here. It is just fabulous. All of their waiters and waitresses are very kind, very attentive and really good. I like to get the wagon wheel breakfast. I think that’s what it’s called which basically just has everything: French toast, bacon, two eggs, hash browns. Yum.
Great little place we found while in Simi Valley. I asked our server "What is good?" And she replied with "everything". A little skeptical, because that could also mean that nothing is good. She mentioned Chile relleño omelette and I was sold. The others I was with also ordered off the breakfast section. My omelette was delicious 😋. The Chile relleño was not as fluffy and just a tad greasy, but that omelette was fluffy and delicious! Hash browns were on point as well. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Atmosphere was cute and clean. Server was friendly.
Place is super cute! And the outside area is super nice. 👌 food is a bit expensive but we split plates and it was a nice brunch/snack to hang us over until lunch 😀 but other than that the food was good! Got a vanilla and chocolate shake! Also some chicken tenders. There was a spill of drinks but the waitress was super nice about it and helped us clean it up :)
Had the Jalapeño Omlette, Croissant French toast with berries, chicken fried steak dinner. It's a really cute small cozy place, old Homestyle (if you're fancy this probably isn't your joint). Located on the corner with its own parking lot in the plaza. The food was really tasty and had good flavor. Staff was super friendly and very welcoming. She checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed and we enjoyed the food. I think my favorite was probably the country fried steak, the mashed potatoes were nice and thick. The hash browns were yummy too, asked for them nice and crunchy. Washed it all down with a nice coffee which wasn't watered down.
Inside is a bit noisy because of the acoustics. Service was friendly. Omelettes are made with American cheese so be sure to specify something else. Good sized portions. French toast and hash browns were good.
Went there recently and I wasn't to happy with the service there. They used to have amazing service, but now I don't know what happened. I went there with my family sat down, maybe 10 minutes in they took our drink orders. We waited about 15 to 20 minutes for our food and as soon as we got it the waitress gave us our check right after, before as even started eating... I didn't like that very much, I felt rushed to eat my food. We got our food the hash browns were crispy on the outside, but very squishy on the inside, kind of looked like mashed potatoes they weren't good. Everything else was edible... Not as good as before. Overall, it's ok, but not great.
The staff were great and very nice. It was incredibly busy so you would think it would be amazing but the food was just mid. It was a good serving size. But the potatoes were incredibly bland. Salting and peppering everything is a must. The breakfast sandwich I got had no seasonings and the cheese was only partially melted which made for a weird consistency and it seemed a presliced orange cheddar (kraft singles anyone?) so it tasted funky.
Onion rings were excellent. Cole slaw was simple and refreshing. Breakfast items also solid. I would just steer away from the pulled pork-- was a bit dry, and not really pulled but chopped, bbq sauce all right. Wait staff were friendly and accommodating, soda refills easily requested.
This place desperately needs an update. The eggs Benedict had about a gallon of hollandaise on them. Food was middle of the run for everyone. If you still have your teeth this place may not be for you.
Overpriced food. Not quality
I normally don’t leave negative reviews. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years, so I am very understanding! But I can not for my life leave a positive review for this place. I came here on a Sunday around 10:30, and they were packed. All the servers and the host looked panicked. It was very chaotic. My dad and I were seated about 25 min after arriving, which didn’t bother me, I figure good food is always worth a little wait. We were seated in the front lawn section. Now I don’t know how they operate here, but everywhere I’ve ever worked before, we work a particular section, so the server is well aware of their tables. 10 minutes after sitting down a busboy brought us drinks (he’d probably seen us sitting there for some time with nothing). Now in all of my career as a server and bartender, the very first priority is greeting your new tables, so they know you exist at least! Bring water, so at least they have SOMETHING, after almost an hour wait. Maybe 10-15 min after this, a server walks over and says “no one has taken your order yet”? Clearly, menus on the table, that’s a negative. This is getting super long so I’m going to summarize, the server we NEVER saw. Like ever. Getting a refill on water was impossible. My order came out wrong, but after 30 min of waiting I wasn’t about to send it back. I’m really not the type of person to do that, in any case. I don’t understand why all of these people were waiting so long? The food was extremely mediocre and mostly pretty cold. The service, was a joke! I feel bad for the owners of this place bc clearly they are hiring sub par employees which HAS to affect their business. I won’t be going back. This is my second time (first was to-go) and both times I was entirely disappointed. Best of luck to them in the future, hope they can figure it out!
Personally I do not recommend this place . My father and grandmother seem to like it, they are frequent flyers. We went in on a Sunday (usually this place is packed but at the time we went there was lots of empty tables) we sat down got drinks but our waitress didn't come to take our order for 30 mins (we arived at 10am) then finally she came to take our order (we had a table of 5 people) a good amount of time has passed and we noticed we still have not received our food . My father was on his 3 or 4th cup of coffee... I didn't understand because at this point a lot of people had left there was maybe 4 tables in the whole inside dinning room. So we finally got our food a little after 11am. I can't say the food was horrible but it definitely wasn't "good" . I'm sure service could be better on other days maybe we got them on an off day but it's nothing to write home about .
My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for breakfast. He had the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast, and I had the Simi Scramble with home fries. The food was really bland. It had no real flavor at all, even the gravy was bland. The homemade biscuits were really, really dry. The staff was really very friendly and the service was good though. Still, we will not be eating there again.
Love the restaurant but didn’t love the service! We always come here and ALWAYS have great service. Today our waitress was extremely rude! She was in a hurry to get us to leave. I get we get there at 2:20 our waitress said our restaurant closes at 3 so you’re limited by what you can order which is fine. She takes our order on her phone because she failed to get more paper because she didn’t expect more people. We get our food and gives me sausage instead of bacon. I had to tell the other waitress our food was wrong. Our waitress came back and apologized and said that’s what she gets for taking our order on her phone and not going inside to get paper. While all of this was happening she never gave us utensils but expected us to eat our food and run! We had to wait 10mins just to get a fork! After getting our fork she hands me the check and said we’re closing. While others patrons were able to enjoy there food outside w/ us we were rushed. We asked for a to go box and instead of saying ok she tells us “can I have your card we are closed” she made us feel like a to go box will be held hostage until we paid our bill! While all this was happening the other table was not forced to hand over payment right away they got to enjoy their food and paid when they were finished. She made us feel like we were inconveniencing her because she wanted to go home!
Worst service in town. The lady working in the front has a horrible attitude. She is too old to be working there. Definitely won’t be returning 👎🏼
I've been to this place twice. The first time was well over 10 years ago. The service at the time was slow and the food was cold. My second visit was a couple weeks ago. It took 35 minutes for them to bring me a turkey/bacon/avocado sandwich which contained broken tooth pick parts. And yes, the fries were still cold. They compt' the meal as expected. I'll try them again in another 10 years or so... maybe.
Disappointed for the first time. Hopefully they haven’t changed the chef. Food was subpar. Poached eggs overdone, sausage not cooked enough, toast barely toasted. Brought a guest today bragging about the place but left displeased. Saw the same look on other tables nearby. Usually great service but the gentleman today only took the order and gave us the bill.
We were so looking forward to trying out this cafe. Unfortunately we were utterly disappointed in the food. I had Huevos Rancheros. There was a pile of refied beans that seemed like they from a can, a slab of cheese that wasn’t even melted, eggs not cooked right and then what I swear was a 1/2 bottle of pace picante sauce. My husband had the traditional Mexican Breakfast which wasn't much better. Maybe we ordered the wrong things for this place. The waitress was great and really did everything she could to make it right & not to make me feel bad for sending my dish back.
