Nicer local bar and grill - definitely date place capability. Plenty of seating, full bar, huge menu, excellent service and great food, much locally sourced. I went with the steak tacos - locally sourced wagyu beef strips tacos with sauce that would make any latin restaurant proud. Spouse went with a burger, cooked to order, again with prime beef, locally sourced - and yes - you can taste it. Server was outstanding, knew her menu, and had great recommendations. Generous servings - no dessert for us, unfortunately. We would have though - everything we touched here was good. I think you will find the same.
Great place to eat for all ages. Our daughters got the wild mushroom and the snake river burgers. We got the blackened salmon and smothered chicken. Everything was prepared fresh and nicely done. Fries and onion rings were perfect as well. Loved the atmosphere as well. Four people with drinks and appetizer $103 with tax
We were sat very quickly, they got our drinks quickly and there wasn't very much of a wait for the food. Good food and good service. We got the baked brie for an appetizer. Biscuits and gravy, the fish tacos with soup instead of fries and the Hoback chicken sandwiches. All was really good.
Such good food! The fish tacos and Cajun mac ( the special) were excellent!!! Great service and would definitely go back.
Support your local downtown Idaho Falls restaurants! The snakebite is a great place. Good food. Nice people.
Good place , will be nice more beers on tap .
Edited review: Fantastic restaurant! The burgers are amazing!! One in our party had the tacos. A nice option is to sub a side salad for the fries which come with the burgers. Great tasting food, great waitress! I also had the non- alcoholic Huckleberry Lavender Mule. It was tasty! My son and his wife brought me to this restaurant for a late Mother's Day dinner. I forgot to photograph the burger, but did take a photo of the Mule drink. Pleasant atmosphere and would definitely eat here again on my next trip to visit family in Idaho Falls!
Staff was very kind and on the ball. We arrived just before 6 pm on a Saturday and had just a short wait that wasn’t very long. Despite it being a bit busy the staff was great! Food was delicious too and the drinks were great too
SnakeBite is a 30 second walk from our office so it’s a regular lunch spot. Popped in again around 11 yesterday and had another great experience! Restaurant is super clean and the personality/ history is obvious all over the dining room. Food was fantastic (fries are some of the best in town). We were lucky to come in when it wasn’t busy but either way, yesterday and all of our visits in general, the staff have been kind and attentive. Always happy when somebody in the office recommends SnakeBite!
Delicious and reasonably priced food. Very kind and attentive staff.
Stopped in for a quick bite. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food (onion rings, chips & queso, salsa, guacamole).
One of the best restaurants in Idaho Falls, a must if you live here or are just passing through. I highly recommend the fish tacos with fries. This place offers an intimate atmosphere with good food that isn’t too expensive. You can easily find menu items for $15, which is only 2-3 dollars more than you end up spending on crummy fast food.
Buzzing restaurant and bar in downtown IF. Busy at lunch and dinner, but usually a seat at the bar. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Full service bar with nice local beer selection and good cocktails. Bar staff stay busy, so food may be slower, but they do a good job. Table service on second visit was prompt and efficient. Orders were spot on. Food moderately pricey but not ridiculous, and tasty. Local HS students produced the artwork throughout…with wandering around to view while enjoying your beer!
Was a Great Place with a relaxed atmosphere for casual dining. Food was Excellent with so many unique things to choose from on the menu that I wanted to try them all and hard to settle for one. I ended up getting the Hoeback Chicken Sandwich and Waffle Fries. They were Delicious! My Husband got the Snakebite Burger with Waffle Fries and Loved it stating he wanted to come back for sure! And yes...we paid the $.95 each for fry sauce which was definitely unique and we had plenty of. Definitely Recommended Place to try, but it was loud so if you don't like loud I recommend sitting outside.
Service: Friendly and professional Food: Great. Better than expected. Ambiance: Main Street/ Americana Thoughts: they have a little bit of everything, but if you are into a good bite of salmon or a juicy burger this is the place to go. They also have a very good beer selection. Fictional: I’ve heard the owner catches the salmon fresh each morning and prepares it by hand.
Wait staff was excellent. Food was perfectly cooked and came out fast. Cucumber drink was 10/10.
I have been eating at the Snakebite for over 20 years (I think) and it is a dependably tasty and fun place to eat! The interior is cool and funky and it is almost always bustling with activity. On a weekend you may expect to wait if you go at a peak time of the day. Because it is often busy, it might be better to avoid going at popular times for a date night or just make sure to sit outside (weather permitting). It can get pretty noisy in the main dining room. Though, this can be a distinct advantage if you have to go out with family members you don’t particularly like. Then you have a legitimate reason to not listen to them or pay attention when they start to criticize your life choices! There is a children’s menu and you can take slightly older children but I wouldn’t recommend taking toddlers or children under the age of five during peak hours. The food can at times take a while to come out if they are slammed, although generally it can be fairly quick. But it can be tough on little ones to have to wait, and again the noise and bustle might be too much stimulation. So just plan ahead a bit with your little ones and you’ll be golden! The majority of the food I have eaten there is almost always a 5. The only thing I wasn’t as as impressed with recently was the steamed clams. I think it could use less cheese and more garlic and herbs. Additionally because it’s served in a wide pasta dish if cools down quickly. However, the pesto bread that it comes with it and that accompanies other pasta and salad dishes is amazing. The house salad with cranberries and their own vinaigrette is lovely, but you might want the dressing on the side as it can sometimes be intense. Service is always friendly and efficient without being annoying. The interior of the restaurant is clean and bright. There are vegetarian and pescatarian options on the menu, though it would be nice to see those expanded and the addition of Beyond or Impossible burgers as an option for their amazing burgers. Their South Fork Salmon Sandwich is the bomb and their Grand Teton burger is amazing as well (according to to my meat-eating friends). Overall it is a lovely place to go if you’re visiting in town or if you want a delicious meal with friends and loved ones.
We went for lunch on a Wednesday. I got the grilled salmon sandwich with waffle fries and fry sauce. SSOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD! I was very impressed with the cucumber and dill spread on the delicious sandwich and the seasoning on the fries. I would definitely recommend for meetings, friends and family. We sat outside and it was in the shade. I was also impressed with the potion size. I was stuffed, in the best way possible!
The price is the only factor that could bring this to a four. Otherwise everything was amazing. The burgers match what you would see in a picture, and they are fresh and delicious. Our whole table got sandwiches and they were all amazing. The fries are spectacular, be sure to get them over the mediocre salad. Atmosphere is fun and down to earth as well. THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH! be aware of that when you go
Wow ! Stop it right there, this place needs a spotlight the manager is so much full of life (very few people out there with that zeal), great beer collection, very friendly staff and the food is simply the best. Highly recommended. I’m sorry for the other local guides who had a bad experience or something holding you back. Common giving a one star doesn’t make you a star. Ignore them and hope for the best. I had great service loved everything about this place. Reminder - Carry cash no cards accepted. Will visit again. Kudos from Salt Lake City.
One of the best restaurants in Idaho Falls in my opinion. The coconut shrimp is absolutely to die for and the hamburgers and fries never disappoint! I also highly recommend the chocolate cake!
The food is excellent. We were in Idaho Falls for a couple of days and had lunch here every day. Burgers are fabulous, nachos outstanding. Looks like we might be here two more days and will most likely have lunch there two more times.
My burger was one of the best I've had in quite a while.. I know that's a bold statement as burgers are far and wide but this burger which was one of their specials for that week or month was deliciously juicy and all around good. I'm not a fan of the fry sauce but that's no big deal. Highly recommend for a lunch stop!
Great little place. Always busy, especially on the weekends. The food is to die for and you won't be disappointed. Great service, great atmosphere and a wonderful place to bring friends and family. Thank you to the Staff!!! You guys are amazing!
Visiting from out of state and stopped here for a bite. The food was fantastic! I got the teriyaki chicken sandwich, which was great. And my friends got the Wagyu smashed burger with fries. I was blown away at how great the food was! And I LOVED our waitress, she was so attentive. Really great joint!
Really lovely bar and restaurant down town Idaho Falls. You can sit at the bar for drinks only, good beer and wine selection, or have food either inside or sit out on the sidewalk, watching the world go by. Service is friendly, fast and efficient. The ambience is of a typical American diner style, with leather boots and sports playing on screens but it has a lovely vibe and atmosphere. The food is mainly burgers but they do have some interesting entrées too, including seafood and fish, as well as other mains like pork or salmon fillet and vegetarian options. They are also happy to meet personal requirements such as keto. All in all very pleasant and we had a delicious and healthy meal.
Fantastic local spot in downtown Idaho Falls. The food is fresh and flavorful. I had a great meal and really liked the casual, friendly atmosphere. Service was quick, and the location on Park Avenue adds to the charm. A must-try if you’re in town!
Best New restaurant in idaho falls! Timeless, classic, flavors and modern relevance! Best management I've known.
We were passing through Idaho Falls about lunch time and decided to stop in for a bite. We had the white chili and the hobach chicken sandwichb with tots. Both were very good. The bun spread on the chicken set it off perfectly. Our server Julia was pleasant and efficient. They have a very tasty beer list to go with your meal. The decorations inside were funky and eclectic. Loved this place!
Shout out to Mikey! We had him as our server tonight and a couple weeks ago, wonderful and friendly service. And the food is delicious. You gotta get the artichoke dip. We come from Pocatello mainly for the dip! I always get the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and am never disappointed. This place is a must go and always the highlight of our visit to Idaho Falls
I suggest obtaining a reservation. Our entire table of four had four different burger plates - all had rave reviews. A couple had the side salad and those were a pleasant surprise! Our server, Natalie, was excellent! She was thorough with the allergies at the table and had some great recommendations. Great value - highly recommend!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My boyfriend and I come to Idaho Falls from Poky just as an excuse to come to SnakeBite. We think about the artichoke dip at least once a week! And special shout out to Mikey. He was our server twice in a row now and I love that I don’t even have to ask for lime with my Diet Coke. He is very attentive, quick, and fun!
The food was amazing! We tried the baked brie appetizer. It was creamy and delicious! We tried the special of the day, which was a hamburger with tri-tip steak. It was phenomenal! For dessert we had the cookie skillet. The cookie was a tad overbaked, but the vanilla bean ice cream made it delicious!
While it might be a touch loud as it's a sort of pub grill, the food and service couldn't have been better. Fast efficient and tasty food. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing burger.
Good burgers. Got the Grand Teton and the Cowboy (I think) with waffle fries. Daughter got the gluten free and they put the put 2 things of sauce. One was their fry sauce that went well with the waffle fries. The other was a “bun spread” that they put on the side just to be safe because of the request for gluten free. We tried the second sauce with the fries and both loved it. Tasted like chikfilet sauce with an aftertaste with a bit of a kick. My daughter ate it all on the waffle fries and loved it. Try that sauce with the fries. Great server. Would have been nice to know what the two sauces were when we got our plates. Arrived without a reservation and only had to wait 10 minutes. Sounds like a reservation is suggested.
The food is OK. Definitely nothing special. The inside of the restaurant is incredible. Very modern and well designed. The staff is great as always. I've got the fish tacos for the last 20 years. They definitely aren't the same as they were 10 years ago.Portions are good, overall the food is pretty good. Would recommend people to go there and try it out.
Friendly staff nice atmosphere. The food was good 👍
Overall a great experience. Even though they didn't have a beer they advertised and had run out of an appie we wanted to try, my house salad and clam chowder were very good. Our server, Mason, was very polite, friendly and attentive, even though the place was very busy. Great atmosphere, although if you're sitting close to the entry door on a snowy day, there was no wind break, so request a table outside of the path to the door. We hope to dine here again the next time we're in Idaho Falls.
Nice place. Good tasting burgers. Wasn’t busy on a Wednesday night. Nice bathrooms. I forgot to get pictures, but I had the half-pound buffalo burger for $20 and my girlfriend had fries for an appetizer ($9) and the river plains burger for $15. It’s worth a visit to get a nice genuine burger
Our first time at the Snakebite. It was busy but we had made a reservation. Waitress was friendly and attentive but clearly they needed more help. Ordered the waffle fries to start- huge plate. Fry sauce was the star of the show. Split a salad that was tasty. Snakebite is moving across the street in next few weeks. We will definitely be back to see our waitress “Summer” who made the whole experience worth coming back for! Can’t wait to try the chocolate cake!
The place is cool inside. The decor is Idaho themed. We went for lunch on a Friday. The place was poppin’. We both got burgers and the waffle fries. I wasn’t feeling a burger, but the majority of the menu is burgers. The burger I had was good. It was the Rocky Mountain Burger. The Kaiser rolls they use as buns are great. I asked about how they cook the patty and the waitress said there is normally some pink in there. Like most burger places around here, the patty was cook more on the well done side. The fries are easily the best part of the meal. They have really flavorful sauces, but they charge you $1 per sauce. No sauces come with the meal. Do you want fry sauce with your fries? That’s a dollar. Did you want ranch? That’s another dollar. Maybe I’m old fashion, but $1 per little cup of sauce is ridiculous. Overall, I felt the hype of this place fell a flat.
We stopped here for lunch today. The food was good. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. The people with me had burgers and they both liked them. This is a decent local restaurant that everyone should check out.
The snakebite restaurant is located in downtown Idaho Falls. The surrounding area is just absolutely gorgeous. This restaurant has a really cool atmosphere. Overall, I thought the food was OK, maybe I just didn’t order the right dish.
First time in their new location. It is a definite upgrade from their previous location, as it is very spacious and has the best-looking bar among our local eateries. The Artichoke Heart Dip was outstanding! (although it could have used a little more bread for dipping). We tried a couple of their chicken sandwhiches and burgers, and everyone was happy with the quality of their order. They also do catering and have a separate entrance for takeouts.
Am gluten free so I’m limited on what I can order. I had a chicken dish and it was hot, juicy, and tasty. We both enjoyed our meal. Service was ok. My only complaint would be how long it took to get our meal. If you’re going to eat there ask for your silverware before your meal arrives because both times we ate there I had to wait for silverware too long after I received my meal. I’ve never been to a restaurant that didn’t have your silverware before or at least with your foods arrival. The table behind asked twice for theirs, after they got their food. So you sit and wait too long for your food to arrive and then you have no silverware to eat with. It’s a simple fix.
We visited SnakeBite in Idaho Falls and overall had a nice experience. The burger was really good — flavorful and cooked well — and the chicken salad was fresh and tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, and the service was pleasant. The only thing is that the next day my stomach was a little upset, but I’m not sure if it was from the food there or something else I had. So I can’t say for certain. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and the food, and it was a good American cuisine experience.
MORE SEATING IN THE BACK / MAKE A RESERVATION. First of all we drove around for 10 minutes until we found a spot just 1 block away from the restaurant. We had a reservation we made on our way there so we were able to sit down right away. It looks small, but there are 3 rooms with seating. There's the main one, the bar, and another you have to walk by the kitchen to get to. I would say the main and bar rooms have a great atmosphere, but the back room is kind of empty. The food was good. If you live in Rexburg expect something similar to Red Rabbit Grill. The burgers are well cooked and the ingredients seemed really good. They are very juicy and salty. The fries are fine I guess not better than any other place, very salty though. The salad has a combination of strong tastes which was really nice. Service was very attentive and friendly. The food came 10-15 minutes after ordering. They do have bathrooms, which according to my wife look like "venue bathrooms". I would recommend it for an inexpensive date (we spent $33 before tip).
My family and I ate here and were very disappointed. Our waiter was wonderful! But the food was mediocre at best. My husband and I both had burgers. They were both very over cooked, dry and lacked seasoning and flavor. The fries that came with them were very over seasoned and salty. The worst part was the $5 burnt cheese less quesadilla I ordered for my son! (See photo) We will not be returning!!
The place has a very cozy feeling, unfortunately whatever is on the menu can't be altered which I find that very particular. The restaurant is a cash only establishment so if you don't have cash I don't recommend you come here unless you want to use your ATM and get charged a fee, I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and a Coke. Unfortunately after I took three bites out of the sandwich it was an non-edible. It had a very mildewy cheese flavor, almost like spoiled milk. The fries are very great that's all I can say.. Besides that the servers are very friendly and kind. I personally don't recommend this restaurant even though it's like one of the only things in a 50 mile radius that you could probably can eat after 5:00pm
The menu states their burgers are cooked to perfection ( Medium well ). However, we all received Hockey Puck type of burgers tonight - the fries were also too well done, service from the Bar ladies was non - existent. Don’t come here for a great meal.
