My hubby and I came out for a date night and tried Agave for the first time. We have been told my many how amazing it is but it exceeded our expectations for sure! The food was absolutely amazing. So different and authentic. Waitress was wonderful and the owner was AMAZING. She works hard an you can tell she takes very much pride in what she does. Both ladies offered their opinions on what to try and so did fellow customers sitting around us. Definitely will be coming back! Want to try the tacos! Job well done to the staff at Agave!

Came in for happy hour and honestly didn’t expect this much value. The margaritas were excellent (the spicy mango was 🔥), and the food came out fresh and full of flavour. Tacos were packed. The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable enough to sit and chat. Great spot for after-work drinks. We’ll definitely be back.

Relaxed atmosphere, excellent and friendly staff. The corn on the cob was wonderful, and their spicy burger had just the right amount of kick. Highly recommend. The prices are quite reasonable.

Always come for trivia, Sam is a great host, you can tell the effort she puts in each week! Tonight was exceptional for the service. Beth went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of during our stay. Would also recommend the chicken quesadilla! So delicious! And the happy hour is great quality

Wow! This place is incredible. I wanted to come back the next day. I reccomend the fajitas and their margaritas. Christmas decor was on point. Friendly Staff Items were priced on the high side, but worth it.

Delicious guacamole and chips to start! I had shrimp tacos (taco of the day) which were outstanding. Absolutely delicious tequila drinks too! I definitely will be back. There were 5 of us in my group and we all really enjoyed our meal and drinks and our service was great as well. We just happened to hit happy hour so our prices were fantastic.

We hired Agave to cater our wedding after our original caterer fell through. I can’t say enough great things about how easy it was to work with Agave! Manish was so friendly and reassuring, and Agave planned and pulled off a full wedding buffet and cocktail hour in a matter of a few weeks, with amazing vegetarian, vegan and GF options. The food was delicious and so many of our guests complimented the quality and uniqueness. We would definitely hire Agave for other catering in the future.

This place has become a go-to for me and my partner on date nights. The food is always delicious. Trivia night is fun and engaging. The only downside is the service is not always they greatest, but that is something that can be looked over for the quality of the food.

If you are looking for a restaurant that will provide you with a good Mexican food experience, Agave is a great option. The restaurant is located right in the city center, near several other businesses, but it stands out for its large sign. As soon as you enter the place, you will find a cozy atmosphere, with typical decorations but not overdone, and pleasant music, which allows people to talk without shouting. The service is excellent from the reception to the moment you leave the establishment. Menu: they have a children's menu with a good variety of food, basic items such as chicken and rice, tacos and quesadillas, which are more popular with children. The conventional menu is quite extensive and has many options of dishes, and all are identified with the level of spice. In addition, they have a drinks menu (beers, cocktails, spirits), non-alcoholic drinks, and depending on the time you arrive, there are items that are part of happy hour. One thing to note: when ordering dessert, please order the Tres leches cake, because it is simply amazing. Waiting time: the drinks arrived at the table very quickly, and the food took an average of 15 minutes, but it always arrived beautifully presented and very fresh. Facilities: for those traveling with children, the restaurant has highchairs for children and changing tables in the restrooms. During the spring and summer, the restaurant has tables in the outdoor area, which allows you to visit the restaurant with your dog, who can sit outside. For customers with disabilities: the restaurant has a door that opens and closes with springs, plenty of space in the dining room for walkers and wheelchairs, tables at a height for wheelchairs, and adapted restrooms with grab bars, but there are no doors that close and open automatically in the restrooms. Unfortunately, they do not have a menu in Braille, but they are willing to help with any order that customers may make. They don't have their own parking lot, but you can park your car on the street, paying for parking, and there are some parking lots nearby. It's worth a visit, the food is great, and the prices are good. We spent $180 Canadian dollars for two adults and 1 child, including taxes and tips.

Visited Agave recently and had a pleasant experience overall. They were out of a few tap beers when we arrived, but that actually gave us a chance to try a different beer, which turned out to be really good—so no complaints there. The restaurant has a nice Mexican vibe and felt very family-friendly, which we appreciated. We only tried the guacamole and chips this time, and they were fresh and tasty, but since we didn’t order full meals, it’s hard to comment much on the food yet. Definitely planning to come back to explore the menu more. Special mention to Jay, our server—very friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. Giving 4 stars for now, and looking forward to trying more next time.

Agave is wonderful and honestly the food and atmosphere are fantastic. We've been many times and although there is some expense I would say it is worth the cost (booze is pricey). I have to say we were put off last night, we had ordered a few drinks as you might when surrounded by delicious tequilas, and had a great mean, but when we asked for another drink we were told we had to wait 20 minutes because we had already ordered too much alcohol (anticipating a Smart Serve response lol). We were not intoxicated and just out on a rare date with my wife, and there were people sitting at the bar (yes there is a bar), who were visibly intoxicated. We were kind of surprised, and then the server came back to ask if we had a safe ride home. I mean I get it, I guess, but this was a new experience for me. Our bill was $350, we can handle our liquor, dressed nice and respectful - we just like margaritas! You don't have to police me! Put off.

As Mexican, this place is not bad comparing it with the rest of Mexican food places in Peterborough, they have good presentation, the flavour of the food is alright but most of the time miss more flavour. They have seasonal menus, which is something that I like for those people who go often and want to try something new. Quesobirrias are one of a must from this place , as well with their guacamole. The corn on the cob is good, too, not as authentic, but you don't find them in other places around the city. The place is really pretty, the pictures on the wall of the mariachis , the process of how tequila is made and all these unique things that make the restaurant good , and also is a good atmosphere to catch up with whoevever youre going with. The booths are comfortable and as well the tables. They have great cocktails too and also a good option of all you can eat tacos that is a good price. I was not a fan of their curros because they were not crispy as authentic churros are. The tres leches cake is not bad, but not that good is kind of dry, is my opinion, maybe I got a bad experience the time I tried.

Didn’t live up to the expectations. Unfortunately, the tacos were quite dry and lacked flavor, which was disappointing. The drinks weren’t very enjoyable either. On top of that, the service was not great — the staff didn’t seem to care much, and the overall attitude felt dismissive. Definitely expected a better experience.
