A bit tough to find (it’s upstairs and through the gate) and has the world’s worst parking lot (too small and cramped), but wonderful staff and great Ethiopian food - especially the vegetarian combo. The new dining room is big and it’s the perfect spot for great music and dinner with friends.
Stopped here on the way to the beach when I saw the sign fire Ethiopian food. Glad I did. The food is delicious. I had the Salmon kit for and it was out of this world. Large portions to where I couldn't eat it all in one sitting. It was priced very well given the large portions. Will definitely come back again.
Delicious vegetarian combo platter. Friendly staff with laid back atmosphere. Would definitely return for another great meal!

Great food! Reasonably priced compared to other nearby places. Very kind service. Nondescript atmosphere ~ the space is big and a bit run down ~ but I always come for the food! I like this spot because it typically has more Habesha people than at other spots. Nice music. The perfect stop on the way to/from the airport.
I had the vegetarian platter and it was amazing! The lentils are so good. All of it was really tasty without being too salty. The ambiance isn’t great but you should go for the food. I ate the entire plate.

Loved the veggie plate! Very flavorful. I would’ve liked some salad on it too. I’ve been to other Ethiopian places where the lentils and split peas were a lot softer in texture, but didn’t take away the deliciousness of this place. Will come back!

08/10/2025; I am ordered to go food, then the owner charged me $31:00 dollar with my debit credit card which I did'nt get my to go ordered food! I called 4 times to delivery the food with uber dash, no body answer, even, coud'nt leave message; a voice mail is full; can't accept voice msg, said answer machine bad coustomer service

I placed a to go order for a vegetarian combo. The portions were modest and limited to four items. The most disappointing experience was that it was cold and did not taste like authentic Ethiopian food. I won’t be returning in two stars are generous
I visited this cafe yesterday 6/20/2024 after getting to Los Angeles city for the first time with my family. First of all, the rest room is so dirty with rusty faucet and broken toilet seat on the bathroom floor. So unsanitary!! My young daughter immdeately decided to not touch any food after coming out of the dirty bathroom. The food looked horrible and tasted not fresh and the service was poor. I wonder if there has any government body that has ever inspected this place. This Cafe's condition was way below our expectation. We are in America where sanitation is a priority. Very sad and bad experience. Hope they fix it.
