Bar Argos

Bar Argos is the lobby bar of the beautiful Argos Inn. The space is beautiful and the drinks are delicious. The staff is so great. They help find you drinks that you will love. I had the popcorn while I was there and that was a good snack before dinner.

My wife and I stumbled upon this incredible outdoor bar last night, and it completely blew us away. The vibe was effortlessly cool… like stepping into a Moroccan tea room under the stars. Comfy, cozy, and beautifully styled, it was the perfect setting for a relaxing evening with great drinks and even better ambiance. We’ll definitely be back.

This Clarified Lassi is JUST like a cocktail I had in Mexico City at one of the world’s best bars, Handshake Speakeasy. this cocktail is smooth, refreshing bright and brilliant. Wow.

Highly recommend Jazz Night on Wednesdays! We ordered the nut and olive plate and the cocktails Hot Priest and Flora and Fauna. All were great! Service was very quick and no wait for seating.

We enjoyed drinks out on the patio, great bar to sit outside and relax with the unique craft cocktails. We were welcomed and brought to a table right away, and you order drinks and pay using a QR code on the table. Our drinks came out quickly. Great spot for a date night, would definitely visit again if we're in the area.

Stopped into the hotel bar for an after dinner drink. Mixed seating options from the bar, high tops, to high back chairs and small sofas for groups. The drink menu had a great mix of traditional and innovated drinks. We tried the tiki punch and With twilight as my guide. We both loved our drinks. Comfortable, chill vibe for elevated drinks.

Came here on vacation for Wednesday night jazz trio, and really loved it. Nice classy feeling place to get drinks. Great mocktails and cocktails. Really a wonderful stop.

Lovely place, drinks, music and people! Went for the first time this week and tried Arson at the Saw Mill and El Catrin which are tied on first place, Golden Fleece which was delicious and soft and the Brooklyn Straight, which I think I’ll order next time I come with a book

If you're looking for another Level B or Hideaway, this isn't your spot. They've got two bars - one is inside the hotel and closes at 10 PM because of the guests. It's a much more cozy, high-class atmosphere than the bars in Collegetown. There's also an outdoor bar space after the indoor bar closes, but I haven't been to it. I came on a Wednesday night, and there weren't too many people. It was easy to get a seat, and the bartenders were welcoming and kind to us. This is the kind of place you go to in order to relax after getting slammed at work or school. I definitely want to come back on a weekend night when it's more popping!

Nice place for a drink. They have good social distancing measures in place. Firepits outside and separated cabanas. Thecocktails are good and the staff is friendly. The decor is quite warm. If you need some private area the staff is happy to help. Looks like a good place for a date.

If there was one reason I’d recommend or return to the Ithaca NY area, it would be for the craft cocktails at Bar Argos. Moody eclectic terraced patio, craft master artists, unique concoctions all equate to stay, linger, and reluctantly leave.

Finally, a good cocktail bar in Ithaca! The waiters are considerate and the cocktail menu has some curious gems in it. Drinks are well done. The space gives Art Nouveau. Fireplace, high ceilings, hardwood flooring, beautiful seating. Can't think of a bar in Ithaca that can compete with this.

Stop by on a Wednesday for weekly Jazz and you’ll have quite the time. I really love the innovative “weirdness scale” and the bar staff are eager to recommend. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the splendor of the space while you sip. Cannot wait to return!

Excellent cocktail bar! My wife and I stopped in here for a drink one night, and we were blown away. This is like the best hotel bar you could ever hope for! First of all, the ambiance and general aesthetic of the place is very cool. It looks great, and you don't see many zinc bars around. The whole vibe was great. The cocktail menu was well put together with a good number and variety of drinks. At around 10 original drinks with a handful of others, it was easy to peruse and you felt confident all the originals would be good, unlike a bar that has a book-length menu where a third of the cocktails were not properly vetted. The stuff we ordered off the menu was inventive and interesting. And, the bartenders were very knowledgeable and able to accommodate our requests for other classic cocktails as well. Speaking of the bartenders, the service was really great. Fast, friendly, and knowledgeable, which is about all you can ask for! This place is a true gem hidden up in Ithaca, which I think could hold their own even in contest with some of the famous spots in NYC. When we are back in Ithaca, this would be our first stop, and the hotel also seems like it would be a great place to stay.

Extremely disappointed with Argos tonight. Argos has been one of my favorite bars in Ithaca for a while now, and I was excited to bring my two hometown friends visiting this weekend from NJ. Unfortunately, the host denied my ID. I am 25 and my license is entirely real, but according to the host, as well as the bartender he consulted with, my license “cannot be verified as real”, despite my other two friends having the same state license as myself. Again, I have been to Argos many times, and have never had an issue. However, we had a good rest of our night at the other bars in town.

I came here the other night with me and 3 friends we got a drink (was average for being 17$) but then one of my coworkers/ acquaintance asked me what I was doing and said she wanted to stop by and say hi ! NOT DRINK just say hi then leave (we work 1 block away) . Once she got there she was immediately approached and asked her her ID she said “I’m not drinking just saying hi then leaving “ the server insisted she give her , her ID so she did turns out it was a fake ( unknowingly to me I didn’t know her age just knew it was around mine (I’m 21) ) and immediately the lady said we all had to leave bc we “brought someone underage” I told the lady I didn’t bring anyone then she said she “ joined your party right “ my coworker said she’d just leave but the lady said we All had to and gave me 0 opportunity to actually explain the situation then stormed off and started talking about our group loudly to her coworkers and when she Originally spoke to us she did it VERY LOUD and RUDE , it was very very crowded everyone was looking at us and this was very uncomfortable and embarrassing for us. We came on Saturday night the girl who treated us like this was young blonde white and skinny (easily not even 21 herself) I feel like this situation, especially my coworkers age Not even being known by the rest of the group Should’ve been dealt with completely differently, like is this really how you run your Establishment ? yes 100% ask the girl who is underage to leave but everyone else who already spent money and is ages 21-30 to leave ? Not giving us a chance to speak and doing it so loudly everyone was staring. Then proceed to go brag to her coworkers.
