A great place for a quick, family friendly lunch or dinner. Eating here bright back happy memories of eating out with my kids. My sandwich was better than I had expected. Marlana was my wonderful server; she was cheerful and available without being pushy. I'll be back.

I recently visited this Friendly’s, and I had a wonderful experience. The restaurant had a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the food was delicious as always. What really stood out, though, was the service we received from Brandon. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure our needs were met without being overbearing. It’s rare to see such genuine care in customer service, and Brandon’s positive attitude really added to the overall experience. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I hope to see him again! Highly recommend this Friendly’s location.

Kayla took good care of us, she seemed to still be getting the hang of everything but was very nice and got us everything we needed. All the food came out very hot and fresh which was nice. The sundae someone in our party ordered came out exactly as requested which isn't always the case so we were grateful.

I haven’t went to Friendly’s in while so we decided to stop it took one hour and 17 minutes to get our food to the table. I don’t know what was going on in that particular area, but they must’ve been shortstaffed. Was not the greatest whatsoever as what I picked on the menu but my other friends had good food. I ordered some ice cream, which was always amazing.

Mostly unchanged since my time here as a child in the 90's. I've always like Friendly's as a kid, always ordering the Grilled Cheese and then the Reese's Pieces Sunday, but it's 2023 now and I pay more than my fair share in taxes and bills so things have changed for me. Friendly's however seemingly stayed the same, and I like that. Ordered online for pickup, putting in for the Fish and Chips, Onion Rings, and a half and half Soup and Salad. The total only came to a little over $30 which is totally acceptable, especially given everything I got was delicious. The fried cod was perfectly flakey inside and crispy outside, the accompanying waffle fries had some great volume and were very thick. Made for perfect dipping chips. The onion rings were crunchy, lots of flavor, and the right amount of onion inside. The salad was a little on the small side when it came to the greens, as the thousand island I ran with was far too much for the small bowl. The cheddar broccoli soup however was fantastic, delicious, and amusingly in a coffee cup which made for a unique way of drinking my soup. Overall I am very satisfied with my picks and how most turned out. Thumbs up.

When we arrived they were short staffed and harried. But when finally seated a new waitress came on shift and all was well. The classic fishamajig was one of the best I ever had. And the hot fudge Sunday was delicious! Was worried there were no more friendlys left, so all is forgiven!!

After a quick dip in an AirBNB hot tub leaving us chlorinated to the point of invincibility, Friendly's! For a blast of nostalgia we gleefully careened into the very handicap accessible parking lot and basked in the warm embrace of the Doritos™ Cool Ranch chopped cheese burger and Mac and cheese bites. 5/5 Janelle gave us the friendliest service.

The big freezer blocks view, and they don't know people are at the door. Often you wait several minutes to be acknowledged. 1 couple came in and said the sun was too warm and they left. Then the AC came on and froze us out. Food was good and our server was polite. 2 other servers had a disagreement, and you could sense the tension. Just not like it used to be, but we like Friendly's overall.

I come here for the rubber duck machine. I love the duck machine, it is my favorite thing about this place. I think they should get more ducks to add a better variety. I love getting my ice cream and wasting my kids college fund on the ducks.

Acceptable Visit, Mediocre Food. We visited this past weekend, at 2pm on a Sunday. There were a half-dozen tables of patrons already when we walked in. We were seated quickly despite there only apparently being a manager and one waitress serving. Table service was pleasant, our appetizer came within ten minutes, another ten minutes and we had our entrees; very reasonable compared to some reviewers' experience. This is Americana diner food, but done on the cheap, by a nostalgic chain trying to eke by without going-under. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

Went for pick up of an online order, the food and ice cream was prepared and ready on time. There was one issue with all foods intermixed in a box and they corrected the issue right away with no questions asked. Very pleasant and helpful.

My daughter and I came in for lunch yesterday everything was good. I felt bad for our server she was making the food serving it and taking care of all the tables . She was doing it all by herself I just wanted to help since I'm in a restaurant industry 😞

This place rocks! New to the area, veteran on disability and needed a late bite for dinner. Hadn't been NEAR a Friendly's in over a decade, but it was right in step! Their Patty Melt, fries and Happy Ending sundae were all fantastic and consistent in overall experience. Waitress and staff were friendly, helpful and professional.

Food was delicious, the space between the bench and the table is very small. If you are 8 months pregnant, I do not recommend. I had to sit sideways bc I couldn't fit facing my husband.

Burgers were mid. Fries were highly unseasoned and little to no salt. Very bland. The sauces that came with the tenders were really good, however. (Ranch & hot sauce) Tenders were super crispy. Waffle fries were good & the cheese sauce was amazing.

Need more experienced waitresses and better connection to the kitchen (cooks). Are large party of 12, waited for over an hour and two other tables were served before us.in addition most orders were wrong. Needs better communication. Used to love this place when my kids were young.

Food was ok when we finally got it. We arrive little after 4pm and was just my family and 1 other family there and food took 30 mins to come out, had legendary honey BBQ sandwich which was great but fries were cold. At end had to go up to counter to find waiter to check out since he was just sitting in back talking to his other co workers.

First let me explain - the food was actually over 4* probably the best food I've ever had at a Friendly's! The short ribs dish was fabulous - tender and good flavor. The Cobb salad was delicious with beautiful lettuce - no wilty or browned pieces. A little expensive for what you get, but worth it for a good salad. The chicken fingers were tasty, but as I've mentioned before, if you manage to mess up chicken fingers we *really* need to talk about what you're doing with your life. The mozzarella sticks were a bit bland, but they were still good - crisp exterior with melty cheese inside. As for why I gave the restaurant a 3 star rating - the service was at best a 2. I am generally very supportive of busy staff who are trying their best, but we came in after the lunch rush (1pm arrival). It took an hour and forty five minutes for lunch and ice cream (2 adults and 3 kids). It's a bit excessive. Also, our drinks were never filled and nobody even offered to fill them. We almost never even saw the person waiting on us so we couldn't even ask. They said they would bring us a box, never brought the box so we left the food we couldn't finish there. I settled on 3 stars because the food was delicious, but the service was rather lacking.

Dining in is recommended. Food is typically missing when order delivery. Since a third party service is used, neither will refund your money.

Are poor waitress was running around doing everything. We had to wait forever to get our drinks, while some dude walked around and did nothing. Brought out a drink for his girlfriend who was sitting in the dining room waiting for his shift to end. I also told him my sundae was to go, he screwed that up. Told me they ran out of the flavors I kept asking for. I will Never come back. Terrible management for sure !!

Where can you go to Friendly's anymore? This run down spot will still deliver ice cream until ten pm! The order is usually wrong but good enough. We went for lunch today. Party of 6. Aged 6,7,8,17,38,older. The waitress was very sweet and probably working alone. She did pretty well! i wish this place could find a way to bring people in! So they could afford more staff.... And to turn the lights on in the back room.

Our waitress and meal were excellent! The waitress gets 5 stars from us! The reason for only 2 stars? The hostess was quite rude and obnoxious. We asked to be seated in a quieter location in the restaurant. She said she can only sit certain people at certain tables - huh? So she went to talk to soneone else and said sit wherever you want, I'll just have to change everything around later. Then she proceeded to seat only families around us, all of the older people and couples she sat farther away. So all through our meal we couldn't hear each other talk due to the yelling and crying from all around us. It ruined our meal!

The smell of the place when walking in was terrible. And we waited 11 minutes to be even noticed while I heard the waiters and waitresses laughing and yelling while myself and girlfriend with 3 other parties waited while I noticed this awful stain in the rug, and Tons of screaming children at almost every table the eye can see. I would not take a date or anyone here again. Wow and I never saw a manager the whole time I was there. There was a few servers running around but I couldn’t even get a hold of one to pay for our food. I left cash on the table after we just ended up ordering ice cream. We ended up going next door for dinner instead. The ice cream was the only good part of the experience

The was not an impressive experience. I went with my freind and he was so upset he refused to tip. They got our order wrong, the server only came to take our order, never asked how we were, or refilled our drinks which we had empty at the edge of the table. It took 10 minutes to get seated(there were empty tables the restaurant was less then half full) it took 40 minutes to get our order and the appetizercame with the meal. I would give 1 star but the waitresses looked overworked and they did try there best, and were nice to us when they showed up. Summery Over worked waitresses 3 stars ,cooks/food 1 star, Managers -1 stars, like jeesh. Worst freindlys I've ever been to.

This place was dirty and smells horrible. It took way to long to get our food and it sounded like the staff was having a food fight in the kitchen. The food was surprisingly okay.

Food is what you'd expect, and let's be honest, the best part of your time there. Service is underwhelming, the place is usually pretty dirty, and the food is at best good. The rating I gave is skewed a little because the service was outstanding. The food was overcooked. The bread on the patty melt was burnt. The bread for the 3 BLTs was over toasted. The chicken strips were slightly over done. Overall the food was terrible. The waiter was the only thing pleasant about this visit. He was fantastic. The food took a long time to come to the table.

When I had small kids this was a great family place, big kids menu etc. This place is outdated, pretty pricey if they are supposed to be catering to family's. Ice cream is out priced for most. Why pay 10 bucks for a sundae here when you can get one for half of that at Stewart's. Every one is budget conscious...

Honestly, the server we had barely came to the table, she just kept bringing stuff out, wouldn't clear the table... Like dessert came, and the table was still filled with everything from the meal. I asked for double sliders for my kids, was given singular patties, ordered a burger for myself and the fries were cold to the touch and the burger was so sloppy, like the sauce was on the lettuce all the way sloughed off the side of the burger. I had to literally take apart the entire burger and rebuild it... And they don't seem all that busy, which means they don't clean that often, cause the amount of crumbs, straw papers around on the floors and surrounding tables/booths looked like if I was being generous at least 3 days.. probably more honestly.... I wouldn't bother wasting your time, I remember friendly's as a great place for the family... And alot have been closing down over the years, so I wanted to go for my daughter's birthday... I wish I knew how downhill friendly's was, cause I would have saved my money! Hopefully I can save some of yours!!

It's Friendly's. Food is very predictable, not outstanding. However, avoid the omelettes. Clearly the cook doesn't know how to do it. The plate was cold, the cheese was dry, hard and cold with the Omelette pre-cooked and I guess then all the mushrooms onions and chopped tomatoes just put in cold, veggies not spread out with mushrooms at one end onions at the other end, chopped tomatoes and a few green peppers put right in the middle. The tomatoes were ice cold like they came out of a salad bar.. The cheese was dry, very nasty. Toast was cold, the butter wasn't even melted etc. But they have some of the nicest servers I've ever had wait on me. Just lovely. One last thing, they desperately need to redo the interior if they're going to keep this place open. It just doesn't smell great when you walk in and you can see how old it is.

Not only is this place aesthetically a trash heap, but the servers are inept and rude about it. Basically anything that they could do wrong or poorly, they did. I didn't have high hopes based on other reviews, but wow the bar of my expectations was on the floor and they couldn't get over it (it wasn't my choice to go there, I was part of a group). They blamed their inability to get my order right or fix it on them being "only 17 and 18 years old" and "they just had an $8000 night." (Ok cool story bro, but the entire time we were there, the place was basically deserted except for our party and the employees. Also, if you're aware you're too immature to properly perform your job duties, perhaps you should find a different job. Your immaturity is not my problem). She then aggressively told me to "calm down" when I never even left my seat or raised my voice. I did eventually feel that I needed to drop the niceties because they were just standing there arguing with me, so I handed them my plate and told them maybe they should have just made it right the first time and to please take my burger back. I was so taken aback by their excuses, argumentativeness, and *their* irritation *at me* for wanting my food both warm and the way I ordered it (the *audacity* of me, I know) that I just wanted to leave. By this time, it had already been at least an hour and a half since I had ordered and I was hungry, thirsty, and tired. Just take the stupid burger off my bill, take the attitude elsewhere, and learn how to do your job - I was astounded at how they outdid themselves with inattention and poor service at every turn. The little things kept adding up until I just wanted the miserable experience to be over: They brought out my burger with no cheese, so I requested some, but they hadn't finished bringing out the others' food yet. However, after it was all served, no one ever returned. After about 20-30 minutes, my partner had to go to the counter. They then brought me cold cheese for my now cold burger. When I asked if they could please melt the cheese on my burger, they absolutely blasted it in the microwave which made the burger rubbery and cooked the lettuce and pickles into a soggy mess and my partner had to go find someone AGAIN. After I refused to allow them to blame me for their mistake, they offered to remake it, but I honestly just really wanted to leave because the service was abysmal and the wait was so long the first time. That's when they began arguing with me. In addition, during the entire eternity that we waited for our food in a nearly empty restaurant, they never ONCE came out or offered to refill our water, and THEN we still had to ask - twice - before our water got refilled! They also never brought silverware/napkins until after the food was already out, and they just dumped piles of napkins and bare silverware on the table. They, again, never came back to check on anyone. We were there FOR 3 HOURS, the majority of it spent waiting for our food. The glasses are cracked, tables are out of order and taped off, the floor is covered in food and/or stains, paint is chipping off the wall, the finish on the wainscotting has worn down to the bare wood in places and it's separating from the wall in places, and the entire place looks like it hasn't been updated or maintained since 1985. The bathrooms are disgusting. Honestly one of the worst experiences at a restaurant I've ever had. I am assuming the servers only work at this dump because they've struggled to maintain employment elsewhere. I was a server for years and I'm very understanding of being busy and making mistakes and have never, ever not left a tip in all my years because I understand how tough food service can be, but for the first time I decided to match their "Go girl, give us nothing" energy and gave them the $0 tip they worked so hard to earn. On top of everything else that went wrong, they put the wrong food on our check so that had to be fixed too. The combination of incompetence and arrogance would be funny if it wasn't so frustrating.

Had just finished a three hour road trip so stopped for a meal . Stood waiting to be seated then after several minutes was told she be right with us, when she finally came she took the couple behind us and seated them after another several minutes we were seated mind you the place wasn't that busy the booth side was practically empty. After sitting for over ten minutes a waitress came and took our order then brought our drinks no straws left when our meal finally came they were on a wire tray lined with paper so grease leaked out onto tabletablel and she left no napkins or silverware took me five minutes to get someone attention to get both ,one waitress was to busy complaining to another customers on how she got stuck because someone called in and apparently called in for next day too. Would have been nice if they sat us at a table that was cleaned first will think twice before going there again.

I already filled out a website review but wanted to make a public one. This place smells like a dirty old folks home. The aroma inside is horrendous. In the 1 minute we waited for the hostess to come over to us, we decided to go somewhere else. There were quite a few tables and none of them had their food. Easily an hour wait, just like the last time we went, and it wasn't as busy. I'm honestly tempted to call the health department because one step in this place and you can tell it's disgusting. Even the carpets are visibly filthy. I really wish there were more decent establishments in Johnstown. An affordable chain restaurant could do really well, but not in this condition.

Carpet smells of mold, bathrooms smell of urine, kitchen floor is filthy. The food took forever, and they only give you half of a cup for the soup. The impossible burger was good, but everything else was not.

Rug was disgusting and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in days, crumbs all over. Ordered grilled chicken wrap, received a crispy chicken one but because we didn't want to wait another half hour I told waitress I would just eat it. Husbands soup was cold. Toilet wouldn't flush. We didn't receive silverware or napkins with order and had to find waitress to get some. Windows at booth had ice cream all over it and looked like a child had used ice cream to draw on not one but two windows (ours and one behind us). Never will go there again.

Every single time we order delivery, sauces and condiments are always forgotten when ordering chicken fingers and quesadilla. Sauces/condiments that are INCLUDED WITH THE ORDER. EVERY. TIME. Absolutely ridiculous. Update: This location actually got a lot better for a bit and we’re completing orders fast, while making sure everything was included, including sauces. However, the past two orders have proved us again that this place is just hiring people that blatantly don’t care about doing their job. The past two orders have been missing ice cream that was ordered for a kids meal, and this time a friend-z completely missing. There’s really no excuse.

Place was filthy. I was the only person in the restaurant on Tuesday June 18. Waiter absolutely ignored me for 15 mins when I got there. Ordered a lemonade. Don’t know what I got but it was a long ways from lemonade. Tried to find the waiter to get a new drink. After waiting for 25 minutes and my food never came out I just nicely got up and left. Cannot imagine how a place like this can keep the doors open. Worse eating experience ever. Oh ya never ate.

Ridiculously rude staff. Went in to have dinner 45 min before closing. Was greeted by a scowling waitress asking if we were planning on eating. When I yes we were she made it obvious that she was looking at the clock and then rolled her eyes so we left. I would never walk in 10-15 min before a closing and ask to be seated but a full 45 min before closing. Definitely won't be back though it's obvious they won't care.

Very unhappy with this visit! First i ordered a milkshake with no cherry and they bring me one with a cherry. Second my sister ordered the captians platter and they brought her fish and chips. She sends it back saying she ordered the captians platter. Then they come back with we are out of shrimp...why didn't they come out and tell her right away instead. She chose to cancel her order. I also asked for mayo and that didn't come with my meal. When i asked for some i was told they were out however there was mayo on my brother's sandwich...so how are they now out. Not very happy at all! The poor waitress who took over our table.has been wonderfully understanding though...only bright side to the visit!

Sadly, we found this location to be dirty, the menus feel like they have never been cleaned. The servers are inexperienced and slow. Ours needed reminding that we had not yet received our order when she asked how everything was and we had been there quite awhile. It was clear she had forgotten about us when she returned a few minutes later with our order that was cold. Growing up Friendly's was a favorite, we found this location to be sadly lacking.

There were like 4 other people eating at the time we went, it was pretty dead, and we waited longer than we should’ve to place our drink order. The floor was dirty with fries at the booth we sat. No paper towels in the men’s bathroom, absolutely no toilet paper in the women’s bathroom and they were both pretty nasty. Forks came out dirty. Overpriced and not the best.waiter was friendly that’s really my only good thing about my trip

If I could give a -5 stars I certainly would.I am sitting right here at the place as I'm writing this review. The service is absolutely horrible. My waitress took forever to come take our order. Mind you there are literally 4 tables here. My lemonade tasted like dish soap nothing like any lemonade I have ever in my life. The philly steak melt was extremely greasy and the BBQ chicken melt was tasteless. I told the waitress I didn't like the food or lemonade she said okay and walked away, never even said I'm sorry.i will never eat here again. I would definitely say save your money.

Let’s see where do we start! Been sitting at the table with family it’s been 20 minutes no drinks poor customer service! The restaurant has a foul smell the window seals have nasty dirt all over the place! The ceiling tiles are falling down and looks like mold growing on them!! Never will eat there again!!

We ordered from Deal dash. Our order was totally wrong. We got burnt hot dog rolls burnt onion strips and no French fries. Burnt onion strips in both containers and one of us are allergic to onions! We also ordered one chocolate dribble and one coffee dribble. But we got both chocolate. Is it really that hard to get it right???

If i could give the food a zero i would. Everything was under cooked. We ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and couldn't even eat a bite of them. The one was still pink and the other had some disgusting looking growth in it. My coffee came ice cold. My girlfriend wanted fries, they gave her onion rings, then they proceeded to bill us for the unwanted onion rings. The munchi mania appetizer was pretty bad, the "loaded" waffle fries had a scoop of cheese and a scoop of sour cream on them, the chicken quesadillas were under cooked. They ended up taking off the sandwiches but still ended up charging us for the coffee and ended up being $23 for a soda, a cold coffee, and half of an eaten appetizer. I saw multiple other people there have their orders messed up also.

Horrendous service, went at 7 PM on a Sat with girlfriend and five kids there was only three other tables seated. Our drinks came with no ice, our server never came back after taking the order. It took 10 mins to get my ice tea refilled, after i got up to ask for it. The appetizer took over 20 mins, and the meals were close to 50 mins. Total time there was 2 hrs 10 mins Meanwhile I watched another table come after and leave before us. This is not the family friendly, quality service restaurant it was. The staff was in the back joking around hanging out rather than working and providing a standard of service. Not to mention how beat up and dirty it appears to be.
