I came here for lunch with my cousin and had the best time. The service was great from being greeted at the host stand to checking out with our server Sophia. Everything came out quick and our favorite was the tuna poké bowl with rice. Great for lunch or dinner !
August 2025: Update: good was amazing this time! Ordered completely different items than our visit in June’25. For a joint appetizer we ordered the burrata which includes a pesto injection, heirloom tomatoes, arugula, fresh watermelon, arugula oil, sea salt. It was to dieeee for! I could’ve had this and only this all day. For my main, I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was tasty, better than average. My partner ordered their chicken and waffle sandwich- cholula honey fried chicken / waffles / pickles. Next time I return, I’m ordering this over anything else (except the burrata). 10000% go! Dog friendly outside on the patio. June 2025: Food was okay- it was edible but the taste needed help. The atmosphere was nice. We sat out under an umbrella by the tent for live music. We ordered drinks and food at the bar, and when the food was ready they brought it to the table. $15 for cocktail. We had the sea shanty drink and the deep dive. Both very tasty and strong. For food we had the cold lobster roll which is hard to eat because the meat wasn’t really in the roll. The taste was average. We also had the old bay cod tacos, with fries. They needed to be more seasoned especially with salt. The fries were double fried and it was delicious.
We had a great time here. We took the pedicab from Robert Moses and walked a few blocks. It's a beautiful neighborhood. We ordered a lobster roll that was 10/10 with fries ( crispy and flavorful) Drinks: Rocket fuel was phenomenal and margarita was ok( maybe my least favorite item). They had live music, we were sitting by the water on a beautiful day. Our server was attentive and nice. Can't wait to come back.
Really friendly staff and great food. We weren't expecting much, but we're pleasantly surprised. Calamari was soft and tasty. Salmon was nicely balanced and tasty and the burrata salad with the watermelon was a great fresh side.
Over the weekend, my sister and I walked from Field 5 over to Kismet. We spent an hour on the beach, and then headed to town for lunch. "Dive" was great! We sat outside near the Fire Island Boatel. The service was good, the food was good, and its all around a nice place! Id recommend it, and id definitely come back.
Great spot in Kismet. Was able to get a spot inside on a Saturday afternoon. The mushroom carnitas tacos were great! A little pricey, but not too bad and worth the $$. Ambiance and service were great!
Came down from RI to see OP Effect over memorial day weekend for the second year(Awesome band!). This spot is set up well with both indoor and outdoor seating, multiple bars, and steps away from the beach. Drinks and beers are reasonably priced for the area. Bartenders are on top of their game and very efficient. Ate here for the first time, and thought the food was decent, but moderately-high priced for the quality and portions. You're paying for the locale more so than what's on your plate. Although not necessarily a dig at the restaurant, our waiter was awful and either hopelessly unfit or unprepared (I'm talking to you leg tat kid, you earned the shoutout). Slow, inattentive, and oblivious... Screwed up one of our orders and had us on the verge of going to try to pay at the podium with a $0 tip.
Great salad and poke bowl. Fun to sit outside on the covered patio especially with threat of rain
This place is awesome! Fantastic Crunchy Spicy Tuna Rolls, the Wedge lettuce dish and the Calamari was awesome, with a touch of peppers and onions fried and spiced to perfection! The server (Kevin M) was the best too! This place is a must when visiting Fire Island. 🔥🗾

Had a great meal here with the family. The service was very good, friendly, and attentive. The food was very good. Had the geral tsao cauliflower app and the steak with fries. My 1 complaint would be the bathroom door wide open, very close to diners, and in full view. For the price here, that's unacceptable.
Went there for a wedding yesterday. The food and service was Fantastic, bartenders and wait staff were pleasant and busted there Butts all night. Amazing experience. I will go back a few times in the future.
love this place! michael, kira, jordan, irina, charlie and everyone else are the best! always having a good time and really friendly.
The short rib birria was excellent! Great service too! The waitress was very attentive. We’ll be back again! Thanks so much!
Great atmosphere. Staff was spot on! Must visit spot in Kismet! 3 console lanes, huge courtyard for live music, 100% recommend.
Absolute blast in there the vibes are 100% SSS tier 🙌 the staff don't even get me started they are all such wonderful and lovely people and will help you out at a simple wave 😀
Lilly was the best server ever so sweet!! A smile never left her face most definitely coming back!
Live music, cool aesthetic. Ferry or decent walk needed to get here
This place is a VIBE. If you love great beer & cocktails paired with corn hole - THIS IS THE PLACE!
Yummy Kraft beer. Fish tacos with peach salsa Amazing. Loved the experience
Great for a quick lunch. We like to walk from field five and eat here. Right by the ferry dock too
Extremely friendly place. The staff were professional and attentive. The food was great.
i would eat the salmon poke bowl as my last meal on earth. I probably cried while eating it. it was so good
Lilly the bartender is the best!! Kismet 💋💋
Best restaurant in Kismet! Amazing music as well
Lilly gave amazing service definitely worth it I’ll be back
What a nice spot to be. Had a very good time there.
Great food and drinks!
Took my mom to the Dive recently and had the best time ever! We had the most adorable server, her name was Lilly. Great personality and super attentive!
such a lovely atmosphere!! we had the perfect lunch on the deck. Lilly was a great server and make our experience even better. we will be back!
I am not from the area, but I expected more pricey foods for the type of area in the first place. I am not upset with the price for what I got though. Between the service, and the food? Worth every penny! It's fun, delicious, and as a service worker myself, ordering the Tidal Wave and hearing the staff cheer was probably my favorite part! 10/10 worth the Ferry ride
Kira was one of the best waiters I have seen in a while. They let dogs inside which is a huge plus! I would 10/10 recommend this restaurant for family’s visiting or locals.
Great place, great vibe. The bites and drinks are solid. The mudslide is great for the adult kid in you, the frozen espresso martini is great for a pick me up. The menu is varied and delicious. Not everything hits, but nothing was bad. Would recommend the fish tacos and a bunch of starters. We didn’t try the sushi but it looked great. The staff are friendly and attentive. The ambiance is fun and retro, with your choice of indoor or outdoor dining and bar.
The dive is amazing and the food is delicious! Sophia is the best bartender! She is sweet, informative and knows her stuff! I highly recommend this place! 10 stars!!!!!
Delicious food and excellent service. Cocktails were great we had shark in a pond, so refreshing yet strong.
Recently had dinner with my family at the dive. Everything was great, our server Lilly was outstanding. We will definitely be back!
Great place to stop in Kismet - fish tacos were perfect for lunch and nice cocktails! We also had great service from Lilly!
This is the best place on fire island! Lilly was our server and she was amazing, her personality was the greatest and we had the best time ever. The vibes are insane here on the weekend and during the week they have so many activities. I would recommend this place for sure!!!
Dive is a charming beach town restaurant with great vibes. The Baywalk Salad and Steak Frites really hit the spot after a long day at the beach. The Pasta Campanelle was a huge portion and the menu was surprisingly reasonable in terms of price. The service at the bar and at my table was excellent, very professional staff. Can't wait to come back next season. Thank you Chef Liam!
Super cute spot on the bay, great chicken sandwich! The menu had a ton of options for everyone! Service was really good thanks to Lilly!
The food was absolutely outstanding. The staff are extremely kind and respectful. Would come again!
We had our daughters wedding here last weekend. I cannot come up with enough adjectives to describe the great experience that was had by all. Special thanks to Taylor, Liam, Charley, Irena, and Fred for all their hard work. They made every effort to ensure that all of the guests were accommodated and that all events contained within the wedding were meticulously executed. The food was excellent, presented nicely and the staff made sure that all items were constantly replenished. An extra thanks to Taylor and Liam for being very professional and making the planning very easy to deal with. They paid attention to every detail and made it a truly great & memorable party. Thanks Dan O
The manager Taylor and the waiter Kevin were exceptional.. The service was excellent the food was outstanding. The best part Was truly how friendly and informative Kevin and Taylor were. Customer service is my Thing and because of them I would absolutely come back and recommend this restaurant to everyone. They are an asset to this new restaurant!!!
This place is a must when visiting Kismet. Everything from the wings, general tso cauliflower, chowder, Burrata salad and shrimp tacos were delicious! The staff is friendly and attentive. Our server Freddy was great.
Great place for drinks in Kismet plus they have great vegan options on the menu. Came for beer and was pleased to find that they have 3 vegan options on the menu this summer. I need to come back to taste them all.
Food was great! Service was good and friendly and we sat outside to enjoy the beautiful day!
The sushi is delicious. Very fresh and tasty. The cauliflower appetizer also yummy. Bar service and drinks are always great! Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Bands and music is good as Well as the vibe! Overall a great place to head to when you’re vacationing for some good drinks, music, atmosphere and vibe!
Food was so good. The poké bowls and Mediterranean salmon are my go to. The drinks are fresh, refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day, especially the watermelon margarita. The service is also amazing. The servers are so nice and always willing to go above and beyond for customers!
My partner and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Dive in Kismet, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly matched the laid-back, beachy vibe of Fire Island—but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Lily. From the moment we sat down, Lily made us feel genuinely welcomed and completely taken care of. She struck that perfect balance of being attentive without ever hovering—anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. It’s rare to find someone so warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind in service, and Lily went above and beyond to make sure our evening was relaxed and special. Whether it was helping us choose the perfect drinks or remembering the small details that made our dinner feel personalized, she really made us feel like VIPs. It’s that kind of service that turns a good meal into a great memory. If you're in Kismet, do yourself a favor and head to Dive—and if you're lucky enough to have Lily as your server, you're in for a truly exceptional experience.
It was absolutely amazing! The food was out of this world. Soooo good. The service was excellent! Shout out to Sophia, such amazing help with picking what to order! She is such a sweetheart. And to whoever picked the music playlist, 🙌🏼🤩! The calamari was spot on! Great place it was overall such an amazing experience thank you everyone who helped create this amazing restaurant. ❤️

A nice, cool place to head a drink, take in some views and grab a bite. It's only one of a few places to go. The service was great. The drinks were awesome, shark in the water. I recommend. The grilled chicken sandwich was very good (they ran out of chicken and waffle sandwich!!!) the fish tacos very good as well. It's nothing fancy inside. Good vibes throughout. Tell em Barsnobs sent ya!

Food was very good, minus the appetizers which were overly salted, and prices were fair. Service was a little slow and they weren’t even that busy but nice location.
The Kismet Out is gone and this is the new restaurant, good food and drinks but why the SoCal vibe on Fire Island I have no idea, Fire Island vibe is legendary, keep Cali in Cali ! They don’t even have Rocket Fuels on the menu !
Love walking here from field 5. Sushi was solid. Wish the beer was colder but hey it's the beach
Good food and good location. Service was a bit slow but not too bad.
Fast, friendly service. Perfect set up/ vibe. What's not to like
Food OK. Service strong.
Dive right inn!
Ich kann das Lokal weiterempfehlen. Die Burger sind etwas teurer, aber gut. Leider hatte unsere Bedienung anscheinend einen schlechten Tag, die anderen Mitarbeiter waren allerdings sehr freundlich.
I had the burrata salad with arugula and watermelon and added salmon to it…sooo good. Price was fair. We sat at bar during lunch. My friend got her sushi which she finished eating and I still had not received my meal. Waited about 15 mins for my meal after she finished hers. Also asked for water with lemon. Bartender grabbed mushy lemons with fingers and put it in my water while she was all over the place making drinks and serving food and wiping stuff on her jeans shorts. As thirsty as I was, I could not drink that. It would be nice getting tongs for bar garnishes. Believe it or not it makes a difference.
Kismet native and pleased to recommend Dive to anyone who comes to visit. Always bring our friends here when we have people out. If you eat around sunset and sit outside, you are in for a beautiful view. The menu is small but strong; everything they serve is great. Only small ding is that I wish the drinks were just a little bigger for the price. I don't mind $15 dollars for a Pina or Daquiri but if it were just a few ounces more it would sit better.
Sat outside and enjoyed a dinner here, with a menu with a focused selection and attentive waitstaff. Both of us enjoyed our meals and other food we caught glimpses of looked good as well. Of course, it's Fire Island, so be prepared to pay Fire Island prices. They do play music inside.

Pretty average Fire Island eatery. Food here is good, but nothing to write home about and the portion size could be increased a little. The restaurant itself is very spacious and comfortable, with a nice beach vibe.
Great fit for beach island. Very small portions and high priced drinks. Friendly servers. Bathroom had two toilets busted, and barely any toilet paper.

The worst service. The waitress was a blank. Food came out wrong. Not one employee smiled or acknowledged us for 10 minutes upon arrival and 15 minutes at the table. However the food was very good the price was very fair .
The food was ok, and the service was great. We've been there before, and the food seemed like there was more attention put into it.
Cool vibe. Beautiful sunset and live music
Great spot, good bands, bartenders not so great. Spilt our drink in front of us and then filled it back up with ice cubes.
Recently spent the day at Kismet and ended our trip here for some dinner. The service was amazing. Me and my party realized that we had to catch the ferry very quickly & the servers were really helpful and fast with packing our food and allowing us to take it to go. The beer options were nice. However the food was not very good, clam chowder was a YES! Chicken & waffles, burger, and burrata were very disappointing. Those dishes had no flavor. I never thought a burger could be bad. The vibes are super cute though maybe it's better for a snack and a drink, but probably won't come back for the food quality.

I visited the Dive yesterday and the quality and atmosphere has truly decreased. I was extremely disappointed with the entire experience! I go out to eat alot and usually give a favorable rating. To start the evening, the hostess was very rude. The food was not good and expensive. I will never come back and will tell my friends not to waist their money! It's unfortunate that there's only 2 restaurants in Kismet and you are taking advantage of your customers.
Couldn't even get there. Location is so obscure, you can't drive there and there's no parking, instructions or directions. Only go here if you live out there. Do not try to visit there. Very disappointed in the set up and organization of the access.
Food was not edible. Hamburger -- $20! -- was one of those thin pre-frozen patties. Wonder why the waitress asked how I wanted it cooked, as these only come medium brown. Worst burger ever had.
We went for drinks and to listen to the band. I accidentally left my my credit card there. When I realised immediately called a friend that lives there and bartender said that they don't have it. Completely unreal dishonest people that are working there. Avoid this restaurant, must be running some kind of scam establishment. Now I'm left canceling my card.
Tried to use a gift card, they refused to take it and then proceeded to overcharge our bill. Thanks guys!
Server spilled a drink all over my friends hair. didnt even comp the drink, just brought over a shot or tequila which she doesnt drink. had the mussels and fried clam strips which were good , but hands down the sorriest excuse of a lobster roll. the bread was stale, the lobster was dry and overcooked. another friend had the burger, which was equally disappointing. if your coming for drinks and a nice atmosphere sure, but dont expect any quality food.
I made another account I am just so disappointed in what this place turned into after the out sold. NEVER in my life and I mean NEVER have I been turned away because “the kitchen is busy” i work in this business and Its not hard to tell people it will be a bit of a wait. they will never have my service again. The inn took us right away and said the wait may be alittle longer than normal LIKE A NORMAL BUSINESS. they didn’t turn every customer away and I say again if u can handle running a Buisness on fire island sell it to someone who can I have been coming here my whole life and never ran into this problem until the out became the dive. I hope the owner reads this and fixes their shit because if they don’t that place should shut down. Horrible job at running that place.
Horrible service I would love to know what place closes at 6:30 for THE WHOLE NIGHT because the kitchen is backed up. If you can’t handle it don’t run a business this is horrible surfs out never did this but new owner=shitty service go to the inn they haven’t changed and don’t pull that bull shit. If I could leave 0 stars I would.
Waited more than 40 mins for a server WORSE place if you want to get food!!!! Fun place but none of the servers were nice or took my order so don't go there hungry!!!! The bartenders at the bar were amazing tho.
Closed again for private party. Everyone going to kismet inn. Wait forever because dive doesn’t want our business again.
The bar held the 5th annual Shark Week party that included an $80 bracelet for all you can drink, small snacks, and live music for 3 hours. Upon arrival the power was down meaning the only available part of the package was the drinking portion at 6pm. They assured the crowd that the power would be on soon and made no attempts to compensate for the missing entertainment. After an hour, still no power, they closed all restroom due to overflow and the automatic toilets not flushing! Even then nothing was done to reassure the crowd or give anything for the outrageous ticket that wasn’t upheld. Finally at 8:15 they closed the bar, the power still hadn’t come back on and a storm hit the beach. I understand that these events were not in their control but they did nothing to substitute the missing items of the bracelet or refund anyone’s tickets. A full hour was taken off the open bar, little/no food, no bathrooms, no music a terrible experience which was a waste of money!!
after visiting for many years, enjoying lunch and a bottle of chilled wine while relaxing, this time was very ugly. my husband and i entered the dining room late afternoon at the end of July 4th weekend to pay for the 5 meals that our teenage son& friends were finishing. a woman seemingly managing the place approached us right away, asked if we needed menus (we did not) then asked us to leave (?!) if WE are not eating. shame that one person can undermine all the good work of bartenders and waiters, some of whom we’ve known for years
when i walked in, it was light out. when i walked out, it was dark out. me personally, the service was good. the lady was kind and we saw nic from love island. the atmosphere was fine. we saw a famous person but to this day we don’t know who he is. BUT i am BAFFLED on how long it took to get my sushi. my family finished their food but then we had to wait 45 minutes or more to get my food. when i got my food, it wasn’t even that good. but whatever, fire island SUCKS.
