Recensioni di Kerbey Lane Cafe Kyle
The place is spacious and good for having a meal with family or a group of friends. It's a good place for having breakfast as well since their breakfast items are really good and fulfilling. To-go boxes are also available upon request. Overall, the food is good, the ambience is good, and people who serve here are very nice.
Had a wonderful time at Kerbey Lane Café today! Our waitress, Balinda, was absolutely fantastic—so kind and attentive, making sure everyone’s needs were met. 🌟 I ordered the Steak Frites, and it was incredible—perfectly cooked and paired with the garlic parmesan truffle sauce and chimichurri. Truly delicious! 🥩✨ Overall, great food and excellent service. Highly recommend! 👏
They added new items to the new menu, can’t beat this place for breakfast but we went for dinner and I got the steak frites and it was cooked to perfection. My wife got the pesto salmon and it was also great. Nothing beats enjoying great food next to the most beautiful river in Texas.
If you are a pancake fan you HAVE to come here. The pancakes (regular buttermilk were my favorite) are so stinkin good. definitely the best pancakes I have eaten from a restaurant. I have to also give a shout out to the breakfast potatoes. Mmm Mmm Mmm they were nice and crispy and had great flavor. Everything else we got was also good and good quality too. This place sits above the San Marcos River, so you get a nice view of the river below. Overall 10/10 gotta recommend this place.
Our server Alyssa was BEYOND fab! She ate. As did my partner and I. It was our first time dining at this Kerbey Lane location and it did not disappoint. The views, prompt service, food, and music was phenomenal. It was legit the best brunch ever- Thank you Alyssa for being awesome! She was very kind and efficient. Kerbey Lane is too good. Thanks y’all! 💖
This cafe was absolutely wonderful!! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. The food was outstanding, super fresh and delicious. The service was beyond amazing and the atmosphere was spectacular. This cafe is right at the falls of the San Marcos River. The view is marvelous. The whole family loved eveything about it.
I had the pan seared salmon with the basil mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. So so good! We had a great seat by the windows so we watched the people swimming below. I gave the atmosphere only 4 stars because it looks unfinished or something. I’m no designer but it needs something. Perhaps there’s a few design students who need a project ?? That would never keep me from coming back or recommending it to anyone and I’ll definitely be back! Besides I need to figure out the potato recipe!!
We celebrated a birthday today with a gift card from family and dined for the first time at this location. The food, terrace seating and the waiter, Major, were exceptional. He was courteous, helpful and seated us quickly. This is the first time dining at this location and we will come back when in the area. Thank you!
This place was insanely good! Started off with their hummus and pita which were both fresh and very flavorful. Then finished off with the Pan Seared Salmon with tamarind glazed Brussels & basil mashed potatoes. I cannot brag enough on this main course, especially the sides. Everything was on point and the atmosphere just added to the experience. Will be back in a few months next time I’m back in town
Kerbey Laney has been my recent addiction as the Pan Seared Salon checks ALL of the boxes ✅✅✅ However this evening I was disheartened to find that they were out of Salmon so it was now time to explore the menu again. BIG shout out to Tesa, whom only a couple of weeks into her new job, was extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable about food sensitivities (what she was unsure of, she was [actually] happy to check with the kitchen). Tesa helped me build my meal to my liking while addressing all of my [many😵💫] food sensitivities! That being said, I enjoyed the egg white omelet, with my favorite (steamed, not fried) tamarind brussel sprouts, and a blueberry gluten free pancake on the side! I was able to substitute syrup with honey, and when my brussel sprouts came out without the tamarind sauce, Tesa happily brought some out to me. Veering from the favorite "safe foods" of a restaurant can be stressful, I'm grateful that Tesa was my non-judgemental waitress this evening!
Excellent breakfast tacos and buttermilk pancakes. We came on a Saturday morning of move-in weekend and were sat immediately. Parking was limited. Sat outside on the patio overlooking the river. Our server gave us excellent service. Super pleased! Great experience and we will definitely return!
I just love Kerbey Lane. I was so excited for this location to open and it did not disappoint. We showed up during the late morning Sunday rush. We had a 45 minute wait but there is comfortable, covered seating outside to accommodate. Despite the rush, our server brought our food and drinks out quickly and was very attentive. Everything was fresh and the bread is DELICIOUS. Pictured is the Kerbey Kickstart. I actually brought the salad home because I was too full to eat it and it was still good the next day. No wilted salads here.
Beautiful location and gorgeous building. The staff is so nice and cares about each guest. We were welcomed in with a smile and each employee acknowledged us and thanked us as we left. Great bunch of folks working here! We attended the friends and family soft opening with a limited menu. My family and I all got the vegan breakfast platter and shared the vegan cowboy queso. Everything was delicious! I can't wait until they are fully open so I can try all the tasty things, especially the vegan chocolate cake!
Great place to eat. I'm always amazed that they have the same high quality food at ALL of their locations.
Deeeelicious food! We had the corner seat right by the mill falls. Gorgeous views, lots of wildlife. Waitstaff were amazing, friendly and fast. Great parking too. Come eat here!! You won't regret it!
Look below for current review. Tesa was fabulous. Super efficient and through with a great personality. Nice place. Looks like it's best time may be dinners. We came arty early lunch Very clean and waitress was exceptional. I ordered the avocado Buffalo sandwich. Nothing special bur not bad. 1-5-26 Cane back with my girls and their friend Liv. We shared the Queso. Rich Blanco with a light spicy kick. Girl had burgers. Lightly dry for my taste but all 3 girls really liked them. The bacon burger was robust and well balanced with cheddar and bacon. No single flavor overpowered the others. I had the Spicy Chicken Tortilla Soup. Very nice blend of flavors and did not have the typical powder taco powder taste. Appreciated that.
Jacob simply is the best server in this place! Always welcomes me with open arms and makes sure the cooks get me right. Thank you Jacob! And the host Molly is always bright and happy, and the storeleader Jake is just wonderful! Thank you Kerby Lane!
New to the area. Kerbey Lane Cafe is the first restaurant i've tried. They set the bar extremely high! I utilized the waitlist on the website which was perfect. Outdoor seating was amazing, our server AJ was tentative and professional. And the food was hands down amazing. I'll be back for sure!
Great location, atmosphere and food! Yes, the San Marcos river looks great right below the restaurant but it's the food that filled my belly that made me happy happy! I highly recommend the Greek Chicken. It has sauteed spinach, diced tomato, black olives and feta cheese over the perfectly cooked chicken.. Their hummus, tabbouleh and pita bread helped round out this plate. I'm eager to go back and try more of their food the next time I am in town!
The location is easy to find. The location is just a few minutes off I35 and adjacent to the Texas State campus. The parking is ample. The staff is friendly. The building is historical and well maintained. The view by the window and on the patio is quiet and peaceful. We were there for a late breakfast on a Friday morning and did not have a wait. Both breakfasts were appetizing to the eye and the taste buds. The drip coffee was excellent.
We had a wonderful lunch here today. I had the chicken jalapeño mac & cheese and my wife had the potato omelette. Both were very delicious. We will be back!
Shoutout to Madeline (I hope I spelled your name right, if not, you know it’s you with the 🤘tattoos :) for being the best waitress ever!!!! We came in on a Friday, things were a little busy for her but she just excels in accommodating to all our needs 🙌 Food was phenomenal and she recommended just the perfect dishes and even drinks for us 😆 And at the end, she even brought the to go boxes just at the right moment without having to ask again 😎 Very caring person and equally great at her job, I will be coming back to see her again :)
We had dinner here and enjoyed the delicious food. The view is so beautiful with the windows overlooking the river. The environment is comfortable and very friendly. I had the chicken grilled sandwich with a delicious glass of iced tea. The brioche bun was not too sweet but perfect with the juicy chicken. My cousin had the meatloaf plate which she especially enjoyed. The food was absolutely delicious. The appetizers (crab cakes) were also nice and juicy. Staff is very friendly and a special thanks for Abigail for her excellent customer service. We had a great meal and felt very relaxed and enjoyed every minute of our time there.
Food was good to really good. For example, chicken fried steak was a little tough but had a good flavor. The chilaquile plate was flavorful but a little dry. Overall, the other items (pancakes, chicken tenders, brussell sprouts, Mac n cheese) were very good. I think they were short staffed as our waitress had a lot of tables to cover. We'll give them another try, though. *UPDATE: Nick was amazing as our server. I've added some more pics of our latest dinner here.
Stopped in for some breakfast before heading back to Fort Worth. The vegan breakfast plate was so delicious. Gotta give love to those vegan Brussel sprouts though. Great recommendation by my amazing server, Isabelle, who was very friendly and quick. Great view, great service, great food. I will definitely come back to this establishment when I am back in San Marcos.
Good place to gather and enjoy good food. Our visit was back on February of this year, we ordered Chicken Fried Platter with loaded mash potato, steamed broccoli and it comes with a warm soft biscuit. My kids also ordered Iced Matcha and they enjoyed every sip of it, they said it was flavorful. Would we go again?! I say, "yes" because the day we went they have ran out of onion rings 😔 so I have to come back to taste them. Restaurant is clean, spacious and has a good vibe.
This place is amazing... Breakfasts menu all day plus all kinds of Tex Mex goodies for lunch or dinner. The place has an amazing view of the San Marcos River Headwaters! Edwards aquifer feeds this lake and river, 72 dogs year-round. Feels a little cooler than that though. Therefore, the atmosphere is amazing, the service is above par, Kellie took care of us and educated us on the area and of course the menu. Come on out to the Cafe and enjoy so much!
Great place for hangout with friends and family and the view is spectacular. The staff welcomed us was so friendly. I believe they have the best appetizer in town. Their buffalo chicken-burger and pan seared salmon is my favorite. Don’t forget to try those. I love the hibiscus mint they serve. All the staffs were super nice, they asked us several times that everything is good or not. I’m highly recommend this place.
Went to the San Marcos location. We got there right at shift change but that didnt stop us from getting fantastic service and I'm hard to please. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The food was absolutely amazing. A 10 year old, 46 year old and a 70 year old and we were all VERY happy
Mina was our server and she was very accommodating. We are obsessed with the harvest omelet and jalepeno sausage. Not hot just very flavorful. I recommend sitting on the patio and listening to the rushing water. Great coffee and hot cocoa.
Even in the rain in December, beautiful .. the views are perfect. The food was pretty good too, I had the chicken Benedict and only thing I would add is more of the onions and they’re picked onions, not carmalized. But I loved the dish. They offer military discount . It’s dog friendly. They have heaters outside ❤️ the omelette verde was healthy, lacked in wow factor but it was a light breakfast and my husband felt content . We would go back maybe in the summer for another vibe .
First time visitor and had the Kerbey Lane combo. Highly recommend! Over easy eggs were perfectly made, pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and bacon was perfectly crisped! Best of all, the service provided by our server, Collin, was amazing! We had initially selected a different seating area, but he offered us another table so we could have a beautiful view of the river (littlle things). We will definitely be back when we're in the area.
We came when it was a little busy but the food is splendid. We got a matcha lemonade and a chilli with corn bread. Ooo superb. I am very picky with my cornbread but this place got it perfect. Perfect sweetness texture and moistness. Chilis perfect not too acidic and is not to salty. Chunks of meat onions n cheese. Yum.... perfect also. I had this food after eaten already so you be the judge.... Not to mention the view down to head waters.
We always enjoy coming to Kerbey Lane but this visit was especially great! Wesley was our waiter and he did a top notch job! He was very attentive to making sure we didn’t need anything, and he was very friendly! Thanks for making our visit so pleasant, Wesley! 😊
Casual dining with high class food and service. I went for lunch for first time here and came back the next day! I love their broccollini sandwich with cashews, delicious. I also had the English muffin with scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, tomato, and questions. Wow! Plus an amazing view!!! This place will not disappoint.
Recommend getting on the wait list prior to the visit to avoid a wait. Parking seems to be limited. The food is fabulous. Highly recommend the Kirby Queso. Food and serve timing was great. All staff were friendly. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. We enjoyed eating outside on the deck. A few other customers brought their dogs on the patio.
This has to be the best breakfast/brunch place in San Marcos. Absolutely amazing food and service. I love the menu! And the building that the restaurant is in is so cool. Just fabulous.
Amazing!!!! This weekend my husband and so decided to visit our daughter in San Marcos. She’s a student at Texas State University. We visited Kerbey Lane Cafe for lunch. It was great that breakfast is served all day. Our meals were delicious and seasoned very well. This is our 3rd visit to this establishment and each time it has been a great experience.
We had a wonderful time at Kerbey Lane Cafe! Our server Jordan was friendly and fast, the food was amazing (we had the Black Cherry Pork Chops and the seasonal Salmon Curry and Shishito Peppers), and we had a great view of people splashing around in the water of San Marcos River. Would absolutely recommend, and we will be back thanks to Jordan, Katie, and the whole team!
Food was really good. The broccolini sandwich is amazing!!. One of the awesome things about Kerby Lane is that they have something for everyone. They have a vegan and gluten free dedicated menu. Service is always good with friendly staff and calm atmosphere. At this location the river view is a super.plus too
Stopped by today while visiting our daughter and was pleased. Tesa was our server and she was great! Chicken pesto panini was really good. Truffle fries were delicious. Meatloaf was super flavorful. Chicken Benedict was amazing. Pancakes were disappointingly just mehh (buttermilk). All in all, for sure recommend it!
Our waitress took a long time to serve us, and get us our check. She wasn't too busy just not attentive. We had to ask for refills if that says anything. Other than that the food was great. The view was cool. We were seated immediately. We still tipped well. Maybe she was coming off a breakfast rush. I would go there again. Almost forgot. The prices were awesome. My husband and I got appetizers, drinks, and an a meal for 55 bucks. Impressive.
I had the best time at this place. Let me start dating that the view to the river is majestic, my girlfriends and I sat outside with the best view and we had a blast! We had the steak and frites and it was the best I’ve had! I loved the chimichurri and the white sauce on it, I was so upset when I forgot my leftovers on the table. I had mimosas and my waitress was very kind and accommodating, I will definitely come back!
The location alone is reason enough to come here, perched above the spot where the springs lake falls down to begin the river below. Majestic pecan and cypress trees offer shade and the sound of the flowing water just plain makes everything better. And the restaurant itself is the same terrific establishment Kerbey Lane is known for. Bright and cheery inside, it offers tables with river views and booths inside or you can set out on the deck right by the falls. I’ve always loved the pancakes, so I ordered blueberry ones with 2 eggs and bacon, a perfect late lunch. Delicious. With the range of menu offerings, I could come here daily and not get bored. There is a full bar and I loved the choices of craft beer on tap.
Kerby Lane is such a comfortable atmosphere to share a meal in! Attentive but not overwhelming service, great menu, good sized portions and Hella good views which chowing down! I love the fact they sell local art off their walls and support the arts community. Our table enjoyed one of their bennies and the pancake flight. Ate without snapping a photo of my plate.
Great experience from the second we walked in the door. Food was incredible and our server, Balinda was so accommodating!! She brought out 4 sauces for us to try with the migas and put the creamer for the cold brew on the side, knowing how particular people can be with their milk to cold brew ratios. She was awesome and the view above the waterfall at headwaters was gorgeous. 10/10 experience
What an amazing restaurant! A true gem in San Marcos!! Located on the river, the views were beautiful and the inside was really wonderful with floor to ceiling windows. We sat right over the waterfall! We tried to get lunch during day 2 of move it but it was super busy so returned for a late breakfast after our hotel check out and had no wait! Our waitress, Riley, was fantastic! Super friendly and knowledgeable we ordered what she recommended and we're not disappointed!! The food was A+, the Crispy Chicken Benedict and the Peach Cobler pancakes were outstanding! It was so good when our daughter texted she and her new roommate were hungry, we left the restaurant, picked them up and drove right back so they too could enjoy what had!!
For our first visit to Kerbey Lane Cafe, we had breakfast out on the patio to enjoy the river view. All of our items tasted great, and we decided to visit the next day for brunch. Service was excellent both days, and both times there was no wait at all. We will definitely visit when we are back in town.
First time coming here and will definitely be back again! Food was delicious and actually fresh. The location was beautiful. And our server Addie B, was the best service we’ve had in San Marcos, she was so nice, attentive, and knowledgeable about the restaurant. This experience was so refreshing!
We had a lovely Mother’s Day brunch at Kerbey Lane! I ordered the Kerbey Lane Combo — it was delicious and perfectly satisfying. My husband and son both had breakfast platters, and they really enjoyed them too. We sat on the patio, and the weather was beautiful — the perfect setting for a relaxing morning. While the service wasn’t the best (our waiter could’ve been more attentive), the quality of the food and time spent together made it a memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Friendly staff, however we weren't to thrilled with the cleanliness or the quality of food. We arrived at our table and it had not been wiped down. Thankfully the waitress was nice and cleaned it off for us. As for the food, my husband order pancakes, overeasy eggs, and bacon. He said the eggs had absolutely no seasoning, the pancakes were small and thin, but the bacon was good. I had a bacon burger, which was good but the aioli sauce could have a little more flavor. The sweet potato fries were flavorful just needed to be crispier. The ranch however was phenomenal! I also got their Orange Oat milk Mocha Coffee which was very good. We sat on the full screened in patio, with fans, which had a wonderful view of the river. Overall the experience wasnt terrible, but not really worth returning for the food.
The parking to get in was a disaster. There were not enough parking spots and the closest public parking was a long way away. The food on the other hand was delicious. The wait was not very long, even on a weekend and the service was great. The waiter gave good recommendations and was very attentive. Would recommend!
I’d give a 5 star to our sweet waitress but I’ll have to say, I have now honestly had the best and the worst pancakes from the same location. When they first opened, I indulged in one of their cinnamon swirl pancakes that was Oh so Good! Today, however I opted for a healthier version, ordered a short stack of gluten free vanilla pancakes with the tiny little container of pure maple syrup and they were the driest, crumbliest pancakes I’ve ever had! Will not order those again. My husband ordered Dave’s (chicken) enchiladas and said they were dry on the inside but overall wasn’t too bad. May give them another try in the future.
My family was visiting from out of town and I recommended eating here because I usually have a great experience. The wait time was 1 hour, but it was Sunday, so I wasn't surprised. Our server was a younger guy and he seemed like he was super high. We even joked that he seemed a little too calm. He seemed like he was holding in laughter every time we had a conversation. He laughed every time he told us they were out of bacon, fruit, and something else I cant remember. There were long periods of time when we didn't see him. The eggs I ordered didn't have cheese as I requested, but I didn't ask for them to fix it because the eggs were terrible. My husband didn't want them either, and he usually eats anything. Lol The food used to be great, but it seems like they switched to lower quality food to save money (a lot of restaurants are doing this because of inflation.) The server wasn't horrible. We found his behavior quite comical. It was like being served by cheech and Chong.
Food is awesome and our server was great. If you come with kids it seems like they try to give you the worst seat in the house, right at the front door. I had to object. When we walked out they had another family sitting where they tried to put us. Good food though!
Went to Kerbey lane Cafe for breakfast. I got the lemon poppy French toast plater. I did not like the French toast as it was very dry. I had to douse it with syrup to get it moist. I felt like I was eating a loaf of bread for breakfast. My husband enjoyed his sandwich and the view of the river was nice. Staff were friendly. We've gone before for lunch and I got the green chicken Mac and cheese. It was delicious. My husband got the chicken panini and he enjoyed it as well. We plan on returning to try the other options Kerbey lane has to offer.
I was in town visiting family and asked that they suggest a place to eat dinner. I was impressed with the location and building. It took awhile to get a table. Like, 10 minutes and they were not busy. My guess is they were short staffed? Our server Ayden was great. He was very polite, friendly and attentive. The menu had a lot of great dishes i wanted to try. I would expand the wine list a bit though. Adding a Merlot or Cabernet would be perfect. We ordered the double bacon cheese burger with fries and the chicken pasta panini with a side salad. Our food took a little while to be made. The chicken in the panini was dry but my family said the bacon cheeseburger was good. They could have been more generous with the fries. We had a great view of a small lake. I would definitely come back to try some of the different dishes and would recommend this place to other patrons.
Just 🤩 WOW! This place has an amazing history, as it sits atop the first dam built to power the city of San Marcos! They have a huge patio. Where you can go an overlook the actual dam and hear the sound of the rushing waters! It is a nice screened - in patio where you can dine if you choose to! (There are heaters on during colder Temperatures). Our table for two was overlooking the rushing water so it was very therapeutic just being there, looking at the water, sipping my coffee and chatting with my partner. We ordered the Pumpkin Spice French toast platter with 2 eggs and bacon 🥓 & the a biscuits and gravy platter with eggs, sausage and I added bacon as well! Overall the food was pretty good, the biscuits and gravy were kind of disappointing as I thought they’d taste more homemade. Still a good plate but I wish I would’ve ordered pancakes instead. My partner LOVED his pumpkin spice French toast & didn’t leave one speck of food on his plate lol! So, definitely go! Whether alone, small group or big groups, they can accommodate all. Kid- friendly as well as handicapped friendly with a nice ramp from the parking lot to the front door!
Came during lunch time so service was understandably slower. Food was pretty tasty and portions were good. It’s a pretty loud restaurant so be expected to talk over each other. The california omelette was delicious and so were the enchiladas. The views are pretty and I’d probably come again but as a special brunch, as menu items were pretty pricey. I will also add parking was a nightmare!!!!!
Stopped at Kerbey Lane Cafe in San Marcos for dinner, it's definitely a beautiful place. There's a nice view and the young atmosphere is enjoyable. For starters, we tried their wings with the coca-cola bbq sauce, they're really good. The chicken fried steak is not on the menu anymore, which is a shame. I asked our server about it, and thankfully she said they'd be able to fix me one. It's one of the best I've had. The mashed potatoes side, though, was a disappointment (garlicky and too salty, I asked before ordering and was told it would have no garlic). Service was okay. Restaurant was not crowded, yet we waited quite a long time for our orders and drink refills.
Awesome spot for brunch or comfort food. The pancakes are huge and delicious. Great patio with river views, so try to get a table outside or by the window. It's a fun, laid-back setting, and the whole menu is served all day. It's really busy on the weekends so service is a little slow and parking is scarce.
Had been told of this place by locals and the main point of topic being the splendid views. Decided to check it out for breakfast. Due to location, views, and menu I was expecting a crowd for breakfast but was surprised by less than half a dozen people. It quickly became obvious as to why the low crowd when waiting over 25 minutes for a pancake and same length of time with empty coffee mug. When the pancake did arrive, it was tasty. The views are nice. I was there roughly an hour and during that time only seen 5 plates (including) my own leave the kitchen. Surely hope this experience was not the norm.
Parking is a nightmare there. Parking lot is way too small for their building capacity and they're surrounded by a university with private parking. Food was decent.
The stacked enchiladas were very tough. The knife they gave us would not cut through the enchiladas. Even when requesting a steak knife it was a very difficult time cutting through the enchilada's My spouse got the pancakes and chicken and they tasted average. The atmosphere was nice. The service was great, but the food was about the quality of bar food. 2 other people in my party got the stacked enchiladas, as well and gave up the fight of trying to cut through the corn. Tortillas, I've never seen tortillas that difficult to cut through. In my years of life
I would review the food, but there was ZERO parking available. There's also no parking in the street (went around several times) . Too bad because I was looking forward to trying this place out. The restaurant should look into making the lot more customer friendly. There is curb in weird places, the lot is very narrow with only room for one car on the backside, and there is old painted striping blocking good parking spots. The next time I'm car-less, I'll stop again and try it. Update: Food is mid. Mediterranean chicken was very dry and food took a VERY long time to come out. Parking still a nightmare. We parked two or three blocks away at a Texas State building and walked. All interior tables have no view and the window seats are hard to come by.
Great view of the river subpar food. Server was quite nice. Although the restaurant was not busy - slow to get our meal. When we were leaving, we did see a sign saying they were looking to hire a cook (that may be the issue). I would suggest they clean the windows facing the River… since the entire wall is a large amazing window - would be much more enjoyable if it wasn’t dirty in the inside. I would give them a chance after they find a cook.
Went here over the weekend and were very unimpressed. To say the service was terrible would imply there was any service. We had to ask three people before we got a coffee refill, our mimosas didn't come to the table until we were all nearly finished with our meal, and even when they refilled the coffee they forgot more creamer. Not to mention one of us having an overcooked omelette and having to wave down the waitress twice for a water refill. For the price, I certainly expected higher quality, both in the food and the service. With this quality there's no reason to come here, even with the view.
The gluten free pancake was not good. The consistency was that of a cake and oddly too sweet. I would not recommend. The atmosphere next to the river was nice, but that fact that the restaurant was at approximately 70dbA and 70dbC inside during peak lunch time ruined the experience for me. It was okay, before the crowd came in.
Had to send food back because it was cold. My server saved the day, he threw it in the microwave for a minute!!! Seriously the microwave. Then the server came right back and asked for payment right after I got my food because he had work to do in the back. Never offered me a refill on drink. I actually wanted dessert but was never given that opportunity. I left immediately and was charged for only half of my meal after I challenged the manager. Btw, I didn’t even eat half of it!!! This was New Year’s Eve 2025 and I was looking to have a nice dinner before going back to my hotel. Huge mistake and will never eat here again.
The service was slow (both taking our order and getting our order) and the food was poor. My pancakes were barely warm and as hard as my plate and my wife’s English muffin was rubbery. My one piece of sausage was scarcely bigger than a half-dollar and not hot. Overall, a very unhappy experience with no management visible anywhere. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. :(
I like the restaurant and the food, service was fine, quite disappointing that they obviously and purposely left out "Police". Who can mention Fire Fighters and leave out Police as public servants in the community? Apparently a bias here. As someone who works in Law Enforcement and comes here on occasion, at least I know how they feel about those who uphold the law in our communities. Doesn't say anything about families, mothers or fathers either. Call me petty, but probably our last visit. Eating out is expensive these days and I'd rather not direct my support to those who don't support the brave men and women who risk their lives every day.
