Johnie's Jr has been part of the La Palma food community for a long time. I've dined and ordered take-out from here through the years. The quality of food and service has been consistent. The extensive menu has Mexican and American fare to choose from. My usual orders are the burger combos with their thick-cut fries or upgrading to onion rings. Lately, I've been exploring the menu more and have been surprised by how good the melts and sandwiches are. I have yet to try more items from the Mexican or breakfast side of the menu. The dining area is usually clean, with minimal decor, and has indoor and patio seating, weather permitting. The service has been polite and attentive whenever I've visited. The orders are prepared quickly and with care. Even though there are other good food options in the area, sometimes the craving for Johnie's Jr hits, and it doesn't disappoint. Unfortunately, prices have increased due to inflation in the past couple of years, but it's still a solid place for comfort food from morning til evening.
Been going in this place for years now but haven't dropped a review yet. They serve breakfast all day. Their burger and fries combo can compete with big burger chains. Any breakfast omelets is a complete meal and the servings are very generous too. Don't forget to try their breakfast steak burrito too. Pastrami burrito is a must try too.
The cashier was reall helpful ,ill b goin back regularly. My order was awesome try the 3 in one ,onion rings ,fried mushrooms ,and fried zuchini iys alot of food share with 2 more ppl .
This place is really good. And they have great prices on their breakfast specials! Keep up the great work guys!! I try to stop by here every time I'm in the area

Housed in a classic Taco Bell building from the 1970s, this neighborhood gem provides the very best comfort food around. Whatever you get, just smile and enjoy the sheer pleasure of the food you're eating here at this wonderful local establishment. Thanks, Johnie's!
The 6.99 burger special was just right for me, not too much, not too little. The 1/4 pounder special with fried zucchini and ranch that comes with it is great too if it m really hungry, and don't forget their house made 1000 island on the side it is great!

I've loved Johnie's the majority of my life. Growing up I'd walk over and get my food and it's been a long standing mother's day breakfast tradition. The staff is so kind and the food is good. I messed up ordering and ordered something not on the menu and they accommodated me with no issues at all. They were actually happy to help me out and make me what I wanted. They could have easily told me to pick something else but nope. The cook got right to work. I felt really good leaving there and doing business with them. These are the small businesses I prefer to give my money too.
What you would expect from a great charbroiled burger joint! Fries were awesome. Had a pastrami breakfast burrito..delicious
It’s a small but convenient place to order and grab food. No need to ask for napkins, straws, lids or salt and pepper packets, everything is within an arms length away. Ranch and other things is over the counter but everything else is right there. Staff is friendly and service is rapid! Food is fresh and tastes delicious! Thank you to everyone who made sure my order was complete :)

My family has loved Johnny Jr's for years but we went last week we saw how much the prices went up.. over 50 dollars for three people is just too much.. I love the food but probably won't go back due to overpriced food.

Hidden gem, service was great, food was awesome. Friendly staff , very surprised at how great this place is. Looks can be deceiving . Try this place! Grilled burgers, super shakes, cheese fries. Clean and constantly being cleaned and wiped down. Very impressed.

I always used to stop by and grab lunch/dinner when it used to be affordable, but now its only once in a while. Johnnies has also lost it's charm over the years with the makeover with the steel countertops and tables. It used to have custom tiles inside, giving it a one of a kind look, but now it looks like any other joint. The food is still better compared to most mom&pop restaurants. Just wish they'd drop prices once inflation eases. Till then, I'll continue going to Innout across the street.
It wasn’t busy at all my Order was wrong. I ordered the 1/4lb bacon burger. 1) there was absolutely not 1/4lb of meat it’s one thin skimpy patty cooked to death. 2) there was no bacon. Kinda can’t have a bacon burger with no bacon. 3) there was 2 times the amount of lettuce than burger patty it was really a lettuce burger with a side of meat. I used to eat here almost every day first time back in years. And I can say I won’t be back.
The breakfast food was small and not tastey and not very good to look at. Also I ordered juevos rancheros and it looked like Nachos mixed in with eggs!. You would think they know how to make juevos rancheros!!!! And the food was COLD! I ordered it to go, only drove 5 mins away before I ate it. The beans tasted sour as well. If it wasn't so cold outside and I wasn't in my warm home...... I definitely would have taken it back! I don't suggest ANYBODY eat breakfast there. And this was my first time there! Maybe they should get a few pointers from Paul's Place! I will definitely keep going there instead, you can never be unsatisfied with THEIR food. I paid good money for THIS?????

The menu prices in the store are NOT the same as the pictures in Google. The pastrami sandwich is 17.99! Want fries and a drink? Add 6.99! Carne asada taco 5.49. Onion rings 6.99. The prices are outrageous. I will never go back again.
I used to love this place. $17 for a breakfast burrito that’s smaller than it was 2 years ago? Not going here anymore. Plenty of other restaurants that won’t rob me blind
Absolutely terrible service. Curbside pickup, no one came out. Went inside to get it, no one said a word...totally rude. Maybe next time a customer says thank you, you might say you're welcome....or say anything really. Zero utensils, zero condiments, zero napkins, ZERO sevice. Cant believe I tipped them. Lost this customer forever.
The pastrami is mostly fat and dry and always cold and the bread is dry and stale. I have tried it a few times, to see if maybe that one day I got it the first time was just a one off situation, but it is the same everytime. Do not recommend getting the pastrami. I will not get it again. I have learned my lesson.
