Great neighborhood breakfast place. Generous portions at reasonable prices. I liked the variety of items on the menu. The chilaquiles were great and they know how to cook an egg over medium.
Really fantastic little local spot. The serving staff was really nice and explained the menu options on the items at had questions about. The food tasted great! It was very hot, which we appreciated. We'll definitely be back.
you’re looking for a place that still serves good old-fashioned breakfast, Snooty Fox is the spot! The food is delicious, made with that classic homemade taste, and the portions are just right. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and always carry positive vibes that make the experience even better. Definitely a great place to start your morning!
An absolute staple in OC for breakfast or lunch. Been coming here my whole life and it’s still exactly the same. Yummy food served quick with great service. They have a huge breakfast menu but I always go for the #4 sandwich and they have squaw bread, many places don’t have, which is my favorite. Def get the onion rings too. I keep coming back and am never disappointed.
Best coffee I've ever tasted from any level of restaurant. Food is fresh and delicious! Prices reasonable.
Small diner with a big heart. The staff and the food is great. Hands down one of the best pastrami sandwiches I ever had. I loved the atmosphere. I would’ve posted a pic of my sandwich but after one bite I couldn’t stop, it was quickly gone.
This place has great food, friendly and quick service, and fills all the basic requirements for a good breakfast at a very reasonable price. Basically a no-frills offering, don’t come for a high end experience, come for a great meal, the place is right off I-5 in Laguna Hills. On Easter Sunday it was crowded but we still got very good food and service. I have never been to a breakfast place that has a biscuit and gravy on their featured dish, the snooty fox breakfast was right up my alley, add an egg and "those potatoes" (hash browns w bell peppers and onions) and you have a winner. The Mrs enjoyed the French toast, we will be back when visiting the area.
A really cute diner with amazing breakfast food. The service was fast and the staff were very friendly! With photos like these, you need to come here asap. Don’t wait!
Glory is the day when you get to serve by Gloria. First time here, and it has been absolutely amazing. Everyone is so sweet, helpful and positively a pleasure to be with. The food is some of the best comfort home cooking. Today has been just a wonderful I cannot wait to eat here again. Not to mention the delicious drinks.
The food was great and the service was spectacular. My waitress Gloria was sweet, attentive and great with kids. I am on a strict diet and was offered multiple substitute options. She presented us with a delicious slice of chocolate cake with lit candle for my birthday which my family enjoyed and had the entire restaurant (patrons and all) sing a warm happy birthday. The atmosphere felt like grandmas house locked in time which I loved. Check this place out if you’re in the area. I’m glad I did.
The perfect breakfast spot. All the food Is amazing but I recommend the Snooty Fox special. Unlike most places, the portions are just right. Plenty but not too much. The staff here will also make you feel like family.
Food and service always great. Just need more spots to sit or maybe do a later lunch to get seats. Other than that you won't regret it
Outstanding Fish Tacos!! The only drawback is that the chairs are *extremely* loud as they screech across the floor each and every time any patron moves.
Such high quality, well portioned blackened fish tacos. Great variety of salsa available!
This might be the best mexican food i have ever had. It tastes homemade! Delicious and fresh. Clean. Served on real plates and silverware, they bring it to your table. Honestly they deserve a nice location! The quick service style location doesn't do them justice. Wish I lived closer.
Food tasted great and was ready pretty quickly. Servers were friendly, great experience overall. I’ll definitely be coming back
Delicious and healthy options, well seasoned, salsa bar great atmosphere 20/20 Yummylicious 😊😋You just have to visit Baja Fish and you won't regret it. Affordable prices, good portions. They have plenty parking in Laguna Hills, and also in Laguna Woods. 🥗🍲🥑🍋🍋🟩🥗
When you’re driving with no destination and you're hungry, this place does not disappoint. It's a gem. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's clean with modern decor, good atmosphere, and amazing food. Their carne asada taco was bursting with flavor. The meat was so tender. One serving of taco is overflowing with meat and veggies but mostly meat. The tortilla can barely hold the meat. They have a salsa bar to your hearts content. Two tacos, and I was full. I regret that I didn't order their fish taco, but I'll save that for my next visit. Their service is also a breath of fresh air. You can just leave your plates after for their staff to clean, unlike most comparable restaurants.
This was a great find. I ordered the enchilada combo; came with 2 enchiladas, black beans, and big scoop of rice. Cost about $15. It took a while but was worth the wait. Tasted like chicken was very freshly grilled and cheese properly melted. Nice interior without the blasting obnoxious stereo system at other places. Highly recommended.
This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in this area. It's fast, consistent, and great portions. I have been coming to the Lake Forest location since 2006 and haven't had a single bad experience. I mostly order the Carne Enchiladas combo and a side of guacamole. My #2 choice is the chicken platter. Comes with tortillas and a big portion of chicken. You can make little tacos with it and mix the remainder together. If you get the fish options, it's better when it's blackened.
Quick service in a clean restaurant with delicious food! I ordered the vegetarian burrito and it was delightfully delicious and flavorful. It was full of beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, jack cheese and lettuce. It was even grilled on the outside for a crispy wonderful texture. Staff was fast, efficient and friendly. The restroom was clean also. I ate on the run in between appointments so I ate in my car.

This is a true classic. Five of us visited Snooty Fox on a Saturday morning and were greeted by a dining room packed with locals. We were lucky to find the only empty table and settled right in. Their coffee tastes like something brewed at home decades ago—simple, comforting, and without any fancy alternatives. The menu, however, offers plenty of choices: melted cheese, runny yolks, hearty portions, and dishes that feel like they were just brought out of a family kitchen. The decor is humble and nostalgic, adding to the old-school charm. During our meal, people kept coming in, and soon there were one or two groups waiting by the door. Still, tables turn over quickly, so the wait isn’t too long. It’s clear this place is well-loved by locals. A warm, traditional spot that delivers exactly the kind of comfort food you hope for.
The vibe was great. The portion was generous. Very classic American breakfast place. The food was a little bit pricey. The coffee was all right. Those potatoes were great and healthy than normal fries. Not a big fan of the rye toast. They charged additionally for peanut butter which was not very acceptable.
It was a pretty good experience at the restaurant. They were patient with my kids and assisted in making our restaurant experience smooth. We sat outside and ate. Overall food was delicious but very expensive for normal sandwitch, hashbrowns and veggie omelet. Server was nice and she helped my pick my dish since it my first time there. Highly recommend if you can afford it. :)
It was an good experience overall, a very convenient breakfast spot right of the I-5 and Lake Forest Dr. Seating inside only. Clean restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. It was 2 of us, around 8 am. Not busy, we left around 9 am, and it was pretty busy. Staff could’ve been a bit more friendly, especially since they were not really busy around 8 am. They seemed to be very friendly with their regular customers though, not so much with new ones like us. Food was good. A bit pricey I would say. I had the Foxy scramble ($17), but the portions are definitely worth it, and the food is delicious. I didn’t give them 5 stars because of the customer service. Other than that, good experience overall. Worth coming back!
5/28/2024 Stopped in today for breakfast, and it was packed. I ordered a Spanish omelet with sliced tomatoes and cottage cheese. The ambiance is upbeat, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Great lil breakfast spot. I also had 3 cups of coffee and an OJ. Recommended Previous visit Had a nice breakfast this morning at Snooty Fox Cafe, and it was very good. I ordered the Spanish omelet and added sausage accompanied by sliced tomatoes and cottage cheese. The service is always good and the food was tasty and enjoyable. Great little spot. Recommended.
Was not bad. Fish sandwich was ok. Would pass on the chorizo omelette. Too much cheese, eggs were well done, just meat inside the omelette.
The food was delicious, especially the cinnamon roll. I highly recommend it. Fun little atmosphere and a traditional little diner. Our waitress had a bit of an attitude and I’m not sure why… I’m always super patient and kind to service workers since they put up with so much crap. I remained kind to her, but she must have been having a bad day.
The fish combo and the portion size was good even with the extra seventy cents to get one flour tortilla. The restaurant was clean with indoors and plenty of outdoor seating. The blackened fish taco was a bit salty, but the grill fish taco was good. I liked it and would go back. Oh yeah, the parking was a bit tight.
Food always tastes fresh. Portions are good, price is moderate for the city. What I really love about this place is how the chips are always warm. When a company invests in a large chip warmer (that probably cost them at least $500-$1000), that impresses me. It tells me that they care about the entire customer experience.

Super bummed because I really like this place but I have multiple pieces of raw chicken in my blackened chicken plate. Lucky I found it. Not even a little cooked very raw.
The Snooty Fox, it seems, is a cornerstone of the Laguna Woods/Lake Forest area, and you’d be lucky to show up and be seated without a significant wait time. However, if you ask me, this revered status really only survives through nostalgia and tradition. True, the staff are lovely and wonderful people, and the decoration and atmosphere are truly something you don’t get to see much anymore. If you want to go just for the experience, I think it will be worth it. The food, on the other hand, is… fine. It’s just fine. I heard that the cinnamon rolls were amazing, but I found the presentation and taste to be rather underwhelming. The chili burrito, as well, left much to be desired. Even the signature “Those Potatoes” (hash browns with peppers and onions) were good, but nothing too special. For those who love the Snooty Fox and come back time and time again, I can see why, but it just doesn’t do it for me.
They weren't busy however our server acted like she was waiting 20 tables. Salad was old and most of the lettuce was brown. Tomato was also soft and seemed to have been a couple days old. Never had lunch there and I won't going forward. Never heard of a restaurant charging for sides. You order a sandwich, you pay extra for fries or salad. I heard other customer mention the sides were listed on the menu as part of the main, but the waitress argued they weren't. This is a tough one since I do like some breakfast item's they offer. But won't return for lunch.
Love your food but can't believe you discontinued the blackened chicken. Easily it was you best item for myself and family. Hope you bring it back

This place usually does well. However, under Maria’s supervision I was nearly poisoned from cross contamination. I had to use my $600 epiPen and went to the hospital. When I called to share my frustration the person I spoke to said I could return for a remake on the order. 3 days later when I tried to, I spoke to the same manager and she denied my remake because I only had a digital receipt from toast who is their online ordering pos program. Boo on Maria! I’m demanding a refund from my bank
This place is like Disneyland. No longer affordable for the average family. The prices have become so obnoxiously overpriced, I simply cannot afford to eat here anymore. Is the food amazing? Yes, absolutely. Does that give you the right to rip people off? Nope. For reference, ONE salad (which we split), chips/guacamole and 2 drinks comes out to around $50 with tax and tip. It is abundantly clear that greed has overtaken the ownership.
