I came here with a couple friends for a birthday dinner on Saturday evening. The service was very fast and professional. I had the grilled mahi-mahi over creamed corn and it was so flavorful! Our waiter, Jamie, was wonderful and even surprised us with a birthday dessert of raspberry sorbet. That was the perfect palate cleanser! The Juniper Rosé was delightful! Definitely will visit again when I’m in town. Parking was so close by as well.

From start to finish this place was a gem! The hostess was kind and got us seated quickly, Daniel was so helpful in getting us situated and our server Andrew was like part of the family! The food was to die for and it's definitely an experience I'd recommend to anyone in the area!

This was a tough review, I absolutely love this place and they nailed it as far as a classy fun hotel bar. If you have never stayed or been to the Plough they have a great menu, and their atmosphere is hands down awesome. My only concern is when I went in tonight there was clearly a weakness behind the bar. I hate watching folks waiting for 30 mins to get drinks. I was one of them. To be fair the weakness was just one bartender as the other was great and doing their best to try and keep up. I post this in hopes management fixes the problem. I love this place and have been several times and still say it’s one of the best places as far as a hotel bar restaurant.

Food was outstanding! I visisted for a weekend getaway with my wife and the preparation, presentation and blends of ingredients were excellent. I had no reason to leave the conference center to dine elsewhere. We ate there two nights in a row! We had the Pork Papardelle & Pork Belly with Grits the first evening and the next evening, the Center Cut Pork chop, She Crab soup and Endive salad the next. Excellent on all fronts. Jay and Jack were excellent in caring for us. Btw, ask for the seats near the kitchen where you can watch the kitchen magic.

Andrew was phenomenal! We listened to all his recommendations and he didn't miss. He was knowledgeable and personable. Such a wonderful meal to celebrate our anniversary.

Inside the Marriott is a beautiful bar/ restaurant. We made Anniversary Dinner reservations here. We delighted. The ambiance was elegant. We were seated at a quiet booth with Jenny as our server. She was very attentive and really catered to us and our needs. Everything was delicious from soup to nuts. Their food is very tasty and so are their desserts. We will definitely be back! Went back tonight, and it was even better than the last time. This time, we had Alana as our server. She was just as great as our last server, but even better. Can't wait to go back again.

Conveniently located in the Marriott at Penn Square. There is a multi-level county parking garage rear of the hotel, and the rate is per hour or overnight. The entrance to the garage is on S Christian St., just past the intersection with E King Street. Drive slow. The entrance ramp is tight! The parking garage has plenty of handicap parking slots and is handicap friendly ADA compliant. There are to EV charging stations. This is an upscale, casual wear suggested restaurant, reservations recommended. If you have to wait, the hostess will text you when a table is available so you can have drinks at the bar or enjoy Penn Square. The staff are friendly and very professional. My waiter, Aron, was very familiar with the drinks and menu and provided excellent service. The atomsphere in the restaurant area was comfortable and cozy and definitely good for a romantic night out. The bar area is comfortable, completely separate from the restaurant with a seating area. The bar has its own dedicated menu as well as everything you come expect at an upscale establishment. The atomsphere is comfortable and professional, not loud and distracting. Finally we came to the food which was absolutely fantastic! I absolutely enjoyed and recommend the Plough Focaccia small plate! It's four slices with an awesome spread, perfect for two. The Plough Burger and the Grilled Berkshire Pork Chop was outstanding. The portion sizes are large, and you may not have room for desert, I didn't. I did not sit at the bar or have a drink or desert. I rarely rate 5 stars. Service, atomsphere, and the food was all outstanding and location fantastic. Enjoy. Everyone has their own experiences and opinions, and this one is mine. Respectfully

We gave Plough a try after hearing great reviews and were not disappointed. We got the Plough board, which we ended up having leftovers of (not a bad thing to enjoy some tasty cheese later in the night), followed by the gnocchi and the crab fettuccine. All of it was delicious! A little on the pricier end of things, but the atmosphere, drinks, and food were worth the trip!

We had a lovely time at Plough. Our server L was super attentive and very willing to explain anything we asked. L even knew how they made the popcorn ice cream! Our food was excellent starting with the shareable Central Market Cheese Plate. We were able to try foods new to us and find we liked them, including popcorn ice cream. The meal was paced very nicely so that we could enjoy each part and then rest for a bit before the next part. We definitely plan on returning.

Mother's Day dinner out with the family and we all left with full bellies, wide smiles, and a satisfied smile on our collective faces. The brussel sprouts appetizer was a nice combination of savory, sweet, and umami. My burger was perfectly pink with a good meat to bun ratio. Even the pickiest eater of the group ate every bite of her braised pork papardelle. In all I would recommend a visit here for dinner, I don't think you'd leave disappointed. I may even have to return for a lunch visit or three just to try out some of the delicious sounding lunch menu items!

AMAZING. The quality for the price is OUTSTANDING. The service is top notch and not pretentious. The food and the cocktails exceed every expection. The chefs and bartenders are creative but know how to highlight natural flavour profiles. This place is heaven. Can't wait to come back.

Food was good overall, had the bolognese spaghetti, which had good flavor, and helping size was decent, but was a bit watery unfortunately. Their food menu changes all the time, and they do fresh food that is locally sourced. The service was great, and so was the atmosphere, nice inside, kitchen is completely surrounded by glass and can be watched from the tables which is really neat. This is located within the hotel but does have an outside entrance from the street. I do plan on coming back to try a few more things.

Great spot! Was fortunate enought to visit during restaurant week and tried their special 4 course meal. Every course was stunning. Didn't expect to like the BBQ carrots, but they were delicious! Tried the BBQ pork entree for that course, and again- just blown away by the flavors. Our server Lindsey was fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Beautiful restaurant in downtown Lancaster. Fantastic food that us sourced from local farms. A bit on the pricey side is the only negative. The staff was friend6, courteous, & very helpful.

The food was very good. The short ribs were amazing.......very flavorful. The blue crab bisque was interesting. It was very thin and very fishy smelling. It taste okay but not something I would order again. Overall, I would definitely go back to try other dishes.

The way to get our food was very very long. Like, probably half an hour to an hour long. However, the food was very delicious and honestly it was worth it. My friend said he had the best scallops he’s ever had and the bowl I got was honestly really really good too. The Maître D' was also great. Which added quite a bit about random topics like food and war lol. honestly, quite a good experience, and the bar was nice too.

Amazing place! The food was incredible and our waiter was super attentive. We told him it was our two year anniversary and he gave us two glasses of champagne on the house. Honestly, we came here because the place we were planning on going had a long wait. A happy accident and we are so glad we got to try this great new restaurant. We will definitely be back next time we are in Lancaster!

First of all the service was fantastic. The appetizer was so good!!! Our entrees was cooked to perfection and the drinks did one thing!!!! I can not wait to come back.

Went there for our anniversary.. Great vibe, delicious dinner, great wait staff. Will be back to try more on this menu. I got salmon - delish! Husband got short ribs (as a gal that likes veggies more than meat - gotta say his was off the hook delish!!) Thank you thank you!! Cocktails lovely as well! I appreciate what you do!!

This place is wonderful! I was here for a few days for a conference and the staff quickly got out many drinks (we're lawyers so this is a lot of drinks). They have great cocktails and they served several hundred of us without complaints. I have to thank Gabriel in particular. He's a wonderful bartender and really knows the details of individual cocktails. His service provided an exceptional experience. This staff is on top of everything and they go out of their way to pay attention to small details and somehow do it efficiently. Highly recommend!

Sherryl is a great bartender. Drinks were amazing and she recommended the feta dip and Mahi Mahi fish. They both were amazing!

The fall menu was so delicious - crab soup and focaccia are a MUST. All of the drinks were super tasty, too! Our server Courtney gave us great recommendations and we had a lovely time!

Absolutely delicious! Creative dishes cooked and presented to the highest standards. The staff are so friendly and add to the experience. Highly recommend this gem. Our server Virginia was excellent and made our meal more fantastic than already was.

The Plough is located within Marriott and provides a standard dining experience- inviting ambiance and excellent service. We were seated instantly and our food arrived without delay. The food, however, was incredibly mediocre- not bad, but entirely unremarkable. Tomato bisque was chunky and reminded more of a pasta sauce, and bisque suggests a smooth consistency. Hummus was not creamy either but was ok. I know some people really enjoyed the food there and it could be only my experience.

My partner and I recently went here for a celebration dinner and we’re not disappointed. They quick service coupled with the warm and bubbly atmosphere was amazing. My partner really liked how the dining area is somewhat separate from the bar, saving intimacy with that set up. The food was good, the crab benigets were good (we wished they were more flavorful), lamb chops were decent, but the miso banana bread is to DIE for. 1000 percent recommend. Overall, I would say that the meal was overpriced for the flavor, but the quality of both the ingredients and atmosphere makes up for it.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Lancaster!!!! Plough was recommended by a colleague of mine and I’m super grateful to experience this. I was meeting my husband for dinner after his golf tournament so we were both hungry. Parking is horrendous!!! Although it is the city but I underestimated this area. I arrived two hours early and didn’t realize that downtown Lancaster has very strict parking regulations. I finally find street parking. FYI, you’re only permitted to pay for parking 2 hours at a time until 6pm. After 6pm then it’s free. Asked the beautiful host if I was able to move our reservation up quicker and she was super accommodating!!! Such a pleasant young lady and so gracious!!! Sat at the bar for my husband. The bar appeared very long and probably could accommodate 20 guests, maybe a little more. Cocktail menu was short and simple. Had a few cocktails that sounded delicious. I had to go with my tried and true of a dirty martini. We were seated by the street window. It was a nice view. Seating was very modern and very comfortable. Menu had a little for every palette. Overall: Location - great being in the center of downtown. Parking - difficult and chaotic during peak hours. Staff - wonderful Service - excellent and on point Prices - reasonable Cleanliness - above par I loved it and my husband being a picky eater also complemented how delicious his dinner was

Great food with delicious seasoning! The ambiance is kind of unexpected, however, the vibe is cool. Fairly pricey but the food is really good and portion sizes are not bad. It’s very clean, staff was friendly, and overall I liked it. I will say the service was a bit slow but that didn’t affect my experience personally. I would recommend it here! Being right in the square, as well, makes it easily accessible to walk to and from!

Great vibe, friendly staff made this a great experience. Scallops for supper was to die for. I don’t recall Lancaster being on the sea, but you could have fooled me with this fresh meal. Next day had the Grilled Cheese and tomato bisque. Lost a star as both were lukewarm. They would have tasted better had it been hot, but hard to tell. Cocktails were also done with care.

Sophisticated atmosphere, friendly staff but ineffective sometimes. Good drinks, really nice bar. Food is a hit or miss really..... and is already time now to update the menu. Expensive. Make sure to observe a real kitchen working. I expect more from this place. Need a better manager and improve the menu options and seasonal offerings.

This restaurant is located inside the downtown Marriott in Lancaster. The service is very friendly and efficient. The pork belly dish I had was good as the rice was way undercooked but how can you wrong with pork belly!

Service was good and the pork I got was flavored real well.

I was treated to dinner here on a Thursday evening. We had a reservation and got there a little early. We were taken back right away. Our server was attentive, the cocktails were delicious. We shared a few small plates and a dessert. The entrees were well executed. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends.

Had a great brunch! We stopped in before a show at the Fulton theater. Our family was a bit rambunctious for the quiet atmosphere but seemed to go okay. Service appeared a bit annoyed when we asked for more crayons. Sorry :/

Wonderful service! Our waiter was incredibly kind, and the atmosphere was perfect. My only complaint was the limited food options. I had wanted the beef stroganoff, but they were sold out—which was understandable since it was New Year’s Eve. I ended up ordering a burger; it was decent, though I’ve had better burgers at Five Guys for less. However, the banana bread was amazing—honestly one of the best things I’ve had in a long time.

Unfortunately, this place is just okay. It took around 10 minutes at first for our server to come to our table. The feta is good with feta and focaccia but the “focaccia” was burnt. I put focaccia in parentheses because it didn’t taste or look like any focaccia I’ve ever had (probably because it was so burnt). The chicken was bland and 31 dollars. It could have maybe been saved if there was something else on the side that was also seasoned. The brussel sprouts are great!

I struggled with this review. I would prefer a 3.5 star to give. It was a nice atmosphere for a hotel restaurant. Our waiter was very kind, helpful and did a great job. The Wagyu tartare was delicious and flavored with oil and herbs. My meal of spotted, sea snapper was a little over done, but sat on a bed of lentils, bacon, and onions. My plum sake drink was not very plum tasting. The fall fashioned was good. The lower star is due to the fish, drink and the overpriced menu items.

Decent food, nice staff. The food was nicely presented, however, pricing was too high for the portion sizes. Wish my pasta had more flavor/spice. Appetizer was served with entrees rather than before. Overall 3/5.

My husband and I decided to go here for lunch. We got the plough burger without cheese. It was very plain. The fries were overly salty. We also got the steak bowl. The steak was perfectly cooked. The rice was super salty...

I liked the design of the place. The burger was average like 6.8/10… maybe I should’ve tried something else. It is in the hotel lobby where I was and I felt lazy to walk on snowy day

Nice atmosphere, but dinner here was a bit disappointing. Grilled oyster app was a bit dry and unpleasant. My barramundi entree was small but very nice, my wife's lamb noodles dish was bland and gummy.

My boyfriend and I LOVE Plough! He made a reservation for us for Valentine’s Day. The lady he spoke to (Barbara) told us we’d have a booth that was by the kitchen. Which was perfect because that’s where we usually sit. We got to Plough 10 minutes before our 6:30pm reservation and the hostess was about to seat us in the booth we were promised. Barbara came up to the hostess and told her not to sit us there because it was double booked. The couple she did seat there came in AFTER us, so that was very frustrating since we arrived first and it was the booth we were promised. She then tried to sit us in the bar area by the door which was not what we wanted. My boyfriend went up to her and asked if she could sit us somewhere else, preferably a booth (what she promised us on the phone). Barbara rudely said “well, i could’ve fixed this 5 minutes ago if you would’ve said something” she then sat us at a very small table crammed behind the hostess stand. We still weren’t happy with how she handled the situation and were not happy with where she sat us, especially since she promised us a nicer table. Luckily, our server Jack was AMAZING and provided outstanding service! Best server we’ve had at Plough! As we were leaving Barbara looked at us and didn’t even say bye or thank us for coming in. Coming from someone that also works customer service. She was very rude and unprofessional and unfortunately that’s why I had to leave a bad review.

R
Roslyn Lopez

Atmosphere is nice and calm beautifully lit however the server never checked on our table I had to get up & ask him for drinks & then had to get up and ask a different waiter for the check. As far as the food the drinks were good but we got the charcuterie board & it only had one meat & low grade cheeses & grapes. Would recommend the exchange or atlas or just googling other places in the area

N
Nathaniel Youndt

Unfortunately two poor experiences here. The first time we tried to get dinner but the waiter forgot us many times. And then we were advised by another waiter to hurry up with our order because a large party was coming in, even though our waiter was no-showing. Second visit was at the bar where four of us paid far too much for very mediocre drinks. $20 for a boring old fashioned and a “specialty” drink made of 95% ice. Likely won’t be giving them a third try at this point…

C
Christina Cook

Waitress seemed moody and not friendly. Very slow and almost like she didn't like us. Food was amazing, I got the cheesesteak- recommended if you decide to visit. Drinks are so-so. Not coming back.

R

Nothing is good about this place, go to Subway or somewhere else. I stayed at the hotel and ordered food. Dumplings, calamari, and a focaccia. All were awful but the focaccia took the prize on the worst dish ever The food is way to expensive for the bad quality you get

J
Jamie Kopko

What a disappointment. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was good, but the service? Wow. I don’t write reviews, but for the experience tonight, I had to. Our server (male) was missing in action most of the night, wouldn’t mix iced tea and lemonade for an Arnold Palmer (okay, fine, I guess?), but then wouldn’t come back to refill waters. I was with friends I haven’t seen in ages and he walks by and throws the check down, doesn’t ask if we want it split and then he never comes back and I have to go to the hostess to have her track him down. Needless to say, I don’t think I or any of my friends will be coming back.

This was our second attempt at Plough. After saying that we would never return because of our horrible experience the first time. The first time my wife found a very long hair wrapped around her food. The manager came by and apologized and we waited 20 minutes while they remade her entrée. No attempt to make it right, or offer to take it off the check. This time we had oyster Rockefeller and some were over cooked while some were still raw. The charcuterie tray had still frozen just barely thawed out prosciutto on it. It’s hard to believe that this is in a Marriott. Too pretentious. Too expensive. Over all very underwhelming Will never return.

D
Deneen

Attempted to partake however was immediately met with a most rude/aloof bartender. Entered through the hotel door as the street entrance was closed. We said hello...she did not stop what she was doing. We asked is we could sit at an empty 3 top next to the bar. Again without turning her head/back to us, she replied, "Actually no." Pointing around the bar a good distance away..."you have to see the hostess." Located no where near where we entered. No thanks. Immediately turned off by the lack of customer service. I'm sorry no customer service or human interaction. Extremely dissatisfied. Not recommended.
