The food was awesome very delicious...the only small thing was the tea needed a little more taste to it other then that...love it..and the waitress was very polite and helpfull.
The restaurant just got recently renovated and seemed much more inviting and approachable compared to the way it was setup before. The service is great and the food was delicious. Went for a mariscada for 4 and everything was exquisite.
Excellent customers services combined with a really tasty food and fun environment for everyone. Look no further! Mariscos el pescador is an amazing place to spend time with your family and friends!!! 👌🏻🐟
Great atmosphere, the indoor playground is a bit lacking but the food and decor make up for everything. The newly redesigned layout and design is very nice, and the food is still delicious. Best pulpo al mojo de ajo I have tasted thus far.
Won’t be disappointed.
Really nice and good place the food was delicious an excellent service too
It's a place worth visiting, there's a joyful atmosphere in that place that makes you feel like royalty. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious 😋 and you feel peaceful.
Never disappointed with the food or service. Shrimp cocktail is delicious. The shrimp ceviche was made to order (no onion), and fried fish plate was so yummy.
I'll edit later, as I can't recall what I ate that night (about a year ago), but I ordered an appetizer, TWO entrees, and it was all delicious. Service was absolutely top-notch, especially since I got there an hour before closing, still in my dusty trucker work wear.
Always a good time with great friends and food. I highly recommend this restaurant in the enemy's on the weekends to listen to live music and have some delicious spirits and seafood.
They need to add bigger portions
We had a wonderful time having dinner, the waiter was very friendly and his serves was excellent 👌 this restaurant is our favorite to go to.
Went there today for a 🦐 shrimp n octopus 🦑 cocktail 🍹 to go. I haven't had one here in over 20 years, since I relocated. It was as delicious as I remembered. The staff was just as friendly as I remember n the restaurant has been remodeled and the flavor was awesome.
Great open area plenty of seating. Two big private areas. The kids play area is enough to keep the kids busy while you relax and eat.
Love eating here when we visit Laredo. Music was good! Food was great!
Always a good place to eat
Great atmosphere just a little too dark. I though my kids were misbehaving and our waitress complemented us with the good behavior they showed her and said the were very well behaved and good with their manners. She says you don't see that lately and also said she admired us to ha e the patience with 5 kids .... If she only knew we have 6 in total lol
Ambience was great. We went there for my dad's birthday. Service was great. Beer was cold and food was piping hot. They even have an indoor play area for the little ones. We paid approx $100 for 4 adults and 1 kid (7 yrs old). Keep in mind we had beers and margaritas. Restrooms were very well cleaned and well stocked (soap, tp, etc.) Not your "every day" restaurant but great for special occasions!
Food was great and the waitress was very attentive to us. They would make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal
I ordered Shrimp Alfredo pasta. It was the best I've ever had. Also the 7 seas soup was pleasant. Unfortunately the sweet tea was sweet enough for me. I have been there several times and I love the food.
We love Coming to El Pescador for the Great Food, Delicious Drinks 🍹 and Excellent Service Plus my youngest enjoy making new friends in the playground. However I do recommend some adjustments Like adding brighter light and fixing the torn part of net to avoid children going through it and avoid minor injuries. Thanks Pescador Staff for the continuous Service to the Laredo and surroundings community. 🙂
The best seafood place in all of Laredo. The food is exceptional as well as the service. They definitely put a lot of effort in presentation of the dishes, and all the food is spiced well. They serve elaborate clamatos, and have a kids menu, too. It's a very well decorated restaurant with great decor.
Our waiter was very patient I had both my granddaughters with me a 19 month old and a 9 year old and we were trying to get settled in which isn't easy He split an adult pasta for them because there was no pasta on the kids menu My husband had the shrimp cocktail and I had the shrimp linguini my older daughter and her husband also joined us and were served timely I recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp it's super delicious
Visited this place for the first time this week and won’t be my last. This place offered top quality service from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The staff was very friendly. The hostess greeted us with a smile and enthusiasm. Out waitress Sandra was awesome, ask for her. The food was brought to us at perfection and ready to eat, a big thank you to the cooks. I recommend this place if you are looking for a variety of food selections, nice atmosphere and entertainment. We ordered Seafood, La Parrillada, and Steaks oh, and can’t forget the dessert, Flan it was yummy. A huge Texas size thank you to management for their amazing employees and service.
I went to Mariscos and the Manager, Eric Villarreal was exceptional nice and courteous...The cashier Ayelyn was so attentive and told me More about the menu..she knew it like the back of her hand..I was really interested in going back for all your soups..And she knew all of them. I especially like the hot ones..And I spoke to Liliana right now because I had forgotten their names🤭🤗..But I Will tell you.. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME..And you have the best seafood in Laredo Texas.. ⛵ 🐟 shrimp 🦐🦐🍤🦐 See you soon.🥰
We hosted an event at this location and we had excellent service, food, and overall communication from their point of contact, Ignacio. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to host any type of event worry-free!
Great seafood selection and delicious. Had some Madero tacos as well and they were tasty. Something for everyone. Great for lunch or dinner.
There are a lot of restaurants I have visited and absolutely loved but I think I just found my #1 favorite. Prices do not reflect the value and quality of the food you get. Meaning it’s so inexpensive!! Service and atmosphere is superb and I love the music they play. Demetrio, our server went above and beyond! I can’t wait to come back into Laredo just for this restaurant ♥️
🌟 **A Friday Night Gem at El Pescador on Shiloh!** We visited Mariscos El Pescador Shiloh on a Friday evening and were instantly swept up by the vibrant atmosphere—live music, warm hospitality, and a menu that felt like a celebration of freshness. We started with the roasted corn, which was absolutely delicious—sweet, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. From appetizers to entrées (and even dessert!), every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. What truly stood out was the staff: attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead when it came to service. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. This place is a gem, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Whether you're craving seafood or just want a lively, feel-good dining experience, El Pescador on Shiloh delivers!
Great location, everything you order is delicious. Service is wonderful. The drinks in addition to the food are really good. Their drink menu is extensive. Our favorites are the Pina colada, blue hawaiian, and Mai Tai. Our favorite appetizers are the Agua chile verde, fish, and shrimp ceviche. Tonight my son ordered a 12 ounce steak and it did not disappoint. We tried the cajun chicken pasta and added shrimp to it. I always get the pescado empanizado with fries and rice. The restaurant is beautiful and very well kept. There's a live band on Friday evenings. Atmosphere is really nice.
Went there for dinner. It has been a while since having been there last. The place was updated with a new outdoor dining area made, new party room, and possibly new HVAC system cause it was freezing cold in there. The food was good. Shrimp cocktail appetizer was tasty. The tacos El Gobernador (aka shrimp tacos) were spot on delicious. Sides on the plate were rice and charro beans. The rice was ok, has been way better on other visits. The charro beans were just awesome, best I have ever had from any restaurant. Will definitely be going back for more. My wife had the shrimp Laredo which according to her has been better on previous visits. The rice had never disappointed until today. Pina coladas were ok, not great but not bad either. One recommendation is if you come bring a light jacket as it is quite cold in there. All in all will definitely go back for more.
Good was good. Went for a celebration. Event room was really nice.
The food is great...I love that they have a playground there..so I can enjoy a nice conversation with whoever I am with and still let my kids have a good time and eat good as well....the drinks need some working on tho...the staff is nice and attentive.
The food choice we chose was a shrimp cocktail, and california fish tacos. And I will start by saying the cocktail was phenomenal!! It's the best I've had in a very long time. The fish tacos were honestly flat no flavor at all it was almost as if they didn't even try to get creative with the batter, almost like if they followed the instructions on the back of a box and said "ehh...it works send it!" The rice that came on the plate had mushrooms in it? Like why.? Idk but the bowl of beans, that bowl was were all the lack of flavor reedeamd the plate can't say the best because a little place in George west has the best bowl of charro beans. But the beans was delicious I literally ate the hole bowl and left 1 fish taco purposely to make sure I could finish the beans. Over all a really nice and clean place to eat and and the staff members were very attentive and check up on us frequently. Not like most places in the area. Over all would give them 4 stars and 1/2 will come back and try different plates. Thanks for the service.
Good service. Food was a little underflavored compared with the one on San Dario. Interior decor is done up better than the other one though. Drinks need to be better prepared.
Im impressed. Hadnt been here in years because last time i was here wasnt the greatest experience. So decided to give it a chance. N Wow! Atmosphere has a cool modern look, staff is friendly, and food was delicious n hot. I had the fried fish n fried oysters. Fish tasted fresh n nicely battered, oysters well lets just say i was sad that only five came in the plate because they were incredible. The person wit me had the poblano shrimp, it was good but just seemed like it was missin something. Then i over heard a waitress sayin that at night they have live music.
Ok let me start by saying it's been years since I visited this place, so from the start, the remodeling job was a huge plus for me. We were seated right away and drunk orders were taken. Menu was quite impressive too. We had one tiny mishap with a shrimp cocktail, but it was taken care of right away. It was a great lunch. We will be going back for dinner and possibly some entertainment.
The food is delicious. The atmosphere is delightful and there's plenty of parking. I recommend the grill chicken alfredo or the shrimp cocktail. No onions.
*Shrimp cocktail didn't have enough shrimp nor cilantro *Took them long to get the extra cilantro *Tartar sauce tasted more like mayonnaise * Broccoli had no flavor; it was just boiled and bland...
The food is great, but the service is subpar. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed my visit.
Really loved the ambiance here. Food was good with large portions. I got the dou seafood platter for 1. I was surprised that when it listed crab ball and oysters. It was literally only 1 single of each. I was not thrilled with the pollock fish. Over all good place to eat. Service was a bit slow but good.
Service was not the best. Draft bud light was not bud light, took it to management exchanged for a bottle and they charged me for the Draft anyway. Food was great. Atmosphere was nice. Overall I would recommend this place
The food was excellent! The tacos gubernador and shrimp tacos were delicious and full of flavor. I'll definitely return for the food despite the poor service. The service was lacking as the server disappeared for long stretches. Drinks needed refilling and we had incomplete silverware. We waited over 20 minutes at the end of the meal to get the check to pay. The server said it was because she didn't want to be rude and give is the check right away as though she's running us off *Big eye roll*
We visit this restaurant occasionally. They are accommodating to our large group of 10. It's one of a few places in town where we don't feel crowded as a big group. I usually have the Tacos Bandidos, and they are always delicious. The charro beans aren't as consistent, though - the spiciness varies a lot. Some days all our food is excellent but others it varies. The margaritas are always good. As a parent, I really like that there is a children's play area. It allows the adults to chit-chat for a while. Although, when it's packed, I usually pull my kids out since it is a small area. The restrooms are usually clean. I do really wish they would replace the diaper changing table. It is so unhygienic. They should also consider installing one in the men's restroom. They have a stage for live music but it's only for dinner some nights. I have been a guest for a party in their large private room - it's lovely. The decorations they provide are beautiful. The servers are nice. I've noticed, though, that they are usually good up until you are done with your food. We usually have to wait a while to get our check because the servers just stop coming by around the time you are finishing up. Judith was our server this last time. She was attentive, friendly, and efficient. I recommend this place.
We were a party of seven. We were having a good time so we were laughing a lot. Unlike other places we were never given "the look" to lower the volume nor rushed to leave. The waiter Javier was very patient and kind. Plates are served really well. Three of us took a good portion home. Appetizers were delicious: small shrimp cocktail and green Agua Chile were very well served. Very pleasant experience and definitely returning.
If in Laredo, TX and you are looking for some seafood. Look no further...stop in you and the family will enjoy it... We had a sampler plate...three ate from it...and we were stuffed afterwards...(ouch). Was sooo good...ha ha We had ordered a plate for two to share between three people...we had to box it to go...about 70%. The fresh fruit drinks were awesome...not your typical Mexican variety...these were a notch or two above that. I had the melon and my gal had the cucumber....they were both good...but the cucumber was the best out of the two...with some rum would have been better..ha ha The place is trendy and clean....and the staff was very helpful. The prices were very reasonable...cheaper than what you would expect to pay.
I have tried gettin different plates to taste the variety. Some have been extremely good like the bacon wrapped shrimp plate (forgot the name) and some have been just no no no like shrimp Rockefeller. I think it was too watery with that salty water taste. Overall I guess I have to pick the same plate I like to not leave feeling hungry. Loved that mango margarita tho 👌👍👏.
Pretty good place. The fried fish and shrimp were good.looks like they use panko. I didn't like the seafood soup. It was made with too much tomato sauce or paste in the broth.
Sadly orders were wrong, food arrived cold. Took forever to get proper utensils. Unfortunately they are understaffed...So I felt so sad for the waitress 😥
The food at ElPascador is “ok”. The atmosphere is “ok”. Waiting 30 minutes for drink refills and 40 minutes for food is unacceptable. In case you’re wondering, “was it busy?” I’ll tell you, no it wasn’t busy at all. The service was just not worth the cost of the food. We could have fixed dinner faster at home. We won’t dine here again, for the price we can eat less expensively and have better service elsewhere.
Esperanza needs to learn better customer service. She was rude and took order wrong. Then she argued with the customer that she didn't tell her otherwise. It was brought up to the manager because he came and offered utensils, salad dressing, etc. Fried shrimp and fish were semi frozen.
Used to come here all the time until out regular waitress (Leslie that spoke english) quit. Food is great but just can not communicate with the waiter/ waitress. Cashier was out waitress this trip
Family decided to try this restaurant this Saturday, 8-3-2024. I felt like having fajitas so ordered the Fajita plate. I was disappointed to find that there was in fact very little fajita and much in the way of onions/ pepper. I doubt there was 2 oz of fajita, a very small amount of beef. Called the waiter over and appeared to not register what I was saying. Spoke the manager and got nowhere. Perhaps the plate should be called grilled onions w pepper. Total bill was $140 for 7 persons. I would find it very hard to return to this place. Fito Santos
tacos del pueblo served with fajita steak had no flavor other than the cold tortilla. The plate accompanied with some-what flavored frijoles charro soup, priced around $12 with a soda. Service time was ok, friendly staff, and beautiful and spacious place.
The ambience at the Shiloh location is far superior to their place on San Dario. Last time I visited, however, the fried oysters were TOUGH, like gnawing on a car tire. Lost a couple of stars since my last review.
Seafood does not taste fresh and the michelada I ordered tasted watered down. Great presentation, awesome service, and love the ambience. I would just really like it if the food was better.
The music was to loud and the food was meedoker for a sea food fish was on the dry side and the fetia didn't have much flavor yes we was setting in the main tables twords the back but you still had to yell across the table to take to the other purson
Didn’t exceed my expectations. Food was edible but military MRE’s are too. I will give any place a chance but if no good I won’t come back. The shrimp cocktail had a chlorine taste and the fried whole tilapia was okay. Just cause a place it’s fancy and or elegant doesn’t mean the food will be. Not upset at all and yes I did enjoy my food. Thanks guys. I always try to give a sincere rating.
Ordered filete empanizado and filete ala veracruzana with double rice to go. Both were cooked right but not good as well as the rice. It seems the San Dario location is more flavorful and tasty, as I had it a few weeks ago. Ill just stick with the San Dario location
Meal came out, fish filet was cold and without flavor. Requested a small discount since I did not eat it but they said no since I gad already tasted it. Go figure. I did pay full price for all, including a shrimp cocktail and tacos to go.... just find it sad that they would not consider the food was not up to par today. Been here several times btw, 1st time I'm treated as if I was a bother. $60 tab
I had a panic attack tonight 3/14/25 when there was a bat flying all over the restaurant almost crashing in my head. I didn't even got an apology from the rude cashier didn't even acknowledge or believe all the diseases and parasites these animals carry not to mention rabies and the bat flying and crashing into diffrent parts of the restaurant. This is like a flying mouse or rat. Spreading diseases.
I ate here May 2019 with my family because I used to eat at the other location by I-35 all the time and always loved it. This was my first time back in a few years. I ordered some fish tacos to start and photo shrimp as my entree, while my family ordered their main entrees. My tacos came out with my families food. These were by far the worst fish tacos have ever had in my life. The tortilla was doughy, there was no sauce, and the fried fish inside was not crispy but almost soggy and lacked flavor all together. Disappointed with my tacos. I waited patiently for 5 minutes after my family had gotten their food. And then 10 minutes.... And then 20 minutes... And then 40 minutes!!! By this time the waitress had only come by once. By the time I got my cold food, my family was finished eating. I tried my food and I have never been so angry about a restaurant visit on my life. (It sucked) I waited 40 minutes for cold trash. I asked for the manager and IDK if they even called him because he never came. I'm not one to write a review, be it positive or negative but, I'll make this exception. for the love of God Pescador, Get it together!
REALLY EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE!! THEN, the MANAGER LOOKED TOO LAZY TO EVEN GET NEAR AND ASK WHT HPP'D!!! THE WAITRESS THT WAS ATTENDING US ALREADY HAD AN ATTITUDE THEN SUPPOSEDLY SHE LEFT THE PREMISES N WE WERE JUST THERE SITTING WITH NO NOTICE AND NO SERVICE! SO WE PAID OUR APPETIZERS N LEFT! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL N UNSATISFIED!!!
So i just went to eat here and I got here at 4:00pm I ordered my food and I noticed this tabled that had gotten there after us got there got there food first. I had told a different waiter that our food was taking to long and that we waited 1hr for our food. The waitress also hadn’t asked us if we need anything. Then our waitress comes and she brings our food, I got my food and it was super cold. I wasn’t even hunrgy anymore and the fish tasted bad it tasted like refrigerated fish, and my rice wasn’t even presentable it wasn’t how it was supposed to come. And the service with the waitress we got was horrible.
Not very welcoming to a gringo , waited to get a drink ordered , oysters brought no napkin nor utinzlles brought out walked by multiple times with empty glass. Not busy , just not a welcoming place for a gringo
Came here on Ash Wednesday and the food was not that great. The shrimp had a frozen/freezer like flavor and the octopus on my tostada was warm. My mother in law ordered fish ceviche which was flavorless. I decided to give this place a try due to the reviews but not even the service from the waitress was good. I do not recommend this place.
I've been coming to this restaurant for years and we always order the salmon. We are never asked how we want it cooked. Today they served it half cooked. We expected for the manager on duty to automatically remedy the situation on the bill. That was not the case so I asked him to consider it and said he couldn't do it. He offered to remove a drink from tab. I do have a problem when a restaurant can't own up to inconsistencies in cooking. Therefore, just fix the problem for a loyal customer. So ends up I get discounted the lime juice and salt from the bill.... That was their fix. WOW
Waited for 15 minutes and no server approached us to order drinks or food. There were at least 5 waiters standing in the back and others passed by our table and never acknowledged us. Terrible service.
I order 3 rice with shrimp, had a lot of garlic,& each order had 4 shrimps.did you change cheff?
Horrible service more than 30 minutes to get the drinks the waitress were more worried about singing happy birthday to someone instead of providing service
Bought a mariscada for 5 for wife's bday. All the food was greasy, the Batter came off easily, it was Underseasoned, and to top it all off it upset the guests stomach. It was very pricey. Came out to about $18 x person, which is fine if the food would have been acceptable. It definitely isn't the dominant seafood restaurant it was in the 90s-2000s. La laguna took over and this place isn't doing anything to get its position back. Far from. Looks like they gave up. Worst bday food ever! Never again.
The environment is very nice the service was wonderful the decor amazing they even have a section where kids can play supper cute but when it was time to eat our food yuck it was a big yuck to me and my husband we paid $106 We got the octopus and a shrimp salad, and the breaded fish and it was a big NO!!!!
Waiter didn’t even speak English. Hence communication issue. Served us a. Dozen oysters for $30!!! Not even in fancy seafood restaurants do they price them that way. The grilled crab was plain. And the waitresss couldn’t explain to me how a drink was made. So I was charged $29 for 1 margarita drink! Ridiculous.
Bad service and lazy staff... The food was decent, but our waitress was very bad. We saw her once when we sat down and once when she brought us the food. We had to call another gentle, who was actually doing his job today excellently, for the tab because our waitress was chatting away with some other lazy waiters. This was past the lunch rush and there was only about 8 tables to serve. It was a very manageable amount of customers for the amount of wait staff. This was my first time there before the remodel....Might not be going back there again.
Shrimp tasted bad. I returned it and the manager didn’t even get close to the table and I was still charged. Apparently that they tasted it and it was still good. Then when we paid the cashier said they had removed it and later I saw they still charged it. I called them manager said he tasted it and that it was good that no one had returned it. I told him well I was the 1st one so…. Bad service snd manager very very unprofessional, needs to improve his attention to customers.
Worst experience, server was rude had to serve my own drink since she never came to check on us. She dropped a plate on my mom and instead of apologizing she said "the plate was empty". The food took for ever by the time they brought the plates we asked to take them. We spoke to manager he changed our server and was helpful about everything. Still wouldn't go back.
